Hi Vijay,
So you are passing the values from the screen. So you must have binded the screen fields with the attributes, just make sure that they are of the same type as the importing parameters of the FM

I am getting a error while executing the Web Dynpro Application Page.
Hi All,
I am getting a Error while executing a web dynpro application :::
: Navigation in Phase WDDOMODIFYVIEW Cannot Be Triggered. Component: Z_WEP_PERSONAL_DATA, View: OVERVIEW, Window: Z_XXP_PERSONAL_DATA
I have checked this error description in ST22 :
What happened?
The exception 'CX_WDR_RT_EXCEPTION' was raised, but it was not caught anywhere
along
the call hierarchy.
Since exceptions represent error situations and this error was not
adequately responded to, the running ABAP program
'CL_WDR_CLIENT_APPLICATION=====CP' has to be
terminated.
Error analysis
An exception occurred which is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_WDR_RT_EXCEPTION', was not caught
and
therefore caused a runtime error.
The reason for the exception is:
Navigation in Phase WDDOMODIFYVIEW Cannot Be Triggered. Component:
Z_XXP_PERSONAL_DATA, View: OVERVIEW, Window: Z_XXP_PERSONAL_DATA
Can u plz help me regarding this error.
Thanks,
Deepika>Navigation in Phase WDDOMODIFYVIEW Cannot Be Triggered
Looks to me like you are trying to fire a navigation plug within WDDOMODIFYVIEW. According to the rules of the WD Phase Model this is not allowed. -

Are you using UME login type for your B2B Scenario?
In your B2B XCM setting have you selected UME related login type?

How to go for this...??
Edited by: saurav mago on Sep 1, 2008 6:45 PMHello Saurav,
Try this:
import com.sap.security.api.IUser;
import com.sap.security.api.IUserAccount;
import com.sap.security.api.UMException;
import com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.um.api.IWDClientUser;
import com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.um.api.WDClientUser;
import com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.um.api.WDUMException;
try {
IWDClientUser wdClientUser = WDClientUser.getCurrentUser();
IUser sapUser = wdClientUser.getSAPUser();
if (sapUser != null) {
java.util.Iterator parentGroups = sapUser.getParentGroups(false);
while (parentGroups.hasNext()) {
String parentGroupName = (String) parentGroups.next();
if (parentGroupName.equals("GRUP.R3_ROLE_DS.Z:EP_XPTO123")) {
return true;
catch (WDUMException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
OBS.: sapUser can be used to access a lot of info regarding the user.
OBS.: you need to add a reference to "com.sap.security.api.sda", that is in the default SC SAP_JEE, if I well remember.

REP - 300 Error while executing report from Application
Hi,

From application where I am calling report is internally calling form & in form Procedure Run Report is there which is calling report from Report Builder. Both report from builder & form form Builder are compiled . Also query is executing fine in Toad without error. Also all query fields are present in database.
But when I am trying to excute report from Application it is giving error as "REP - 300 Invalid Identifier " & it displays whole query.
Note - Report & it's Form are in ORACLE - 10g. Also the user through which I am executing report from application is ADMIN user , so it has executing permission.looks like error in parameters. check out the value of variable that you are passing through to report from form. Put a messages to see variable values before execute report.

Error while executing RFC in CAF application
Hi All,
I have a CAF application in which i make use of one of the BAPI to get the result from ECC. The BAPI is executed in CAF in a custom method with the statement:
BAPI_SO_GET_DETAILS_Output bapiOutput =BAPI_SO_GET_DETAILS(material, null, fromDate, toDate, plant);
where material, plant, fromDate and toDate are the inputs to BAPI and the output is returned in a table by the BAPI.
When i test the BAPI as well as the custom method in WSNavigator, the result is retrieved as per the expectation. However, when i call this method from my WebDynpro application, it is giving the following exception:
Exception com.sap.engine.services.dbpool.exceptions.BaseSQLException: ResourceException occurred in method ConnectionFactoryImpl.getConnection(): com.sap.engine.services.connector.exceptions.BaseResourceException: The resource "SAPXAQDB" does not support two-phase commit and cannot be enlisted in the current transaction, because another non supporting two-phase commit resource is already enlisted for component "ejbContexts/wipro.com/dcisdps_reporting_moduleear/wipro.comdcisdps_reporting_moduleejbmodule.jar/com.wipro.dc.isdps_reporting_module.modeled.appsrv.reporting_module_as.Reporting_Module_AS" in application "wipro.com/dcisdps_reporting_module~ear". Unable to fetch database table from webdynpro application
Hello,
I have a Webdynpro application trying to fetch data from the database table. I have used the following code to get the connection to the database and execute the sql statement.
InitialContext dbInitContext = new InitialContext();
Properties sysProperties = System.getProperties();
String sysname = sysProperties.getProperty("SAPSYSTEMNAME");
String dbName = "jdbc/" + "SAP" + sysname + "DB";
DataSource dataSource = (DataSource) dbInitContext.lookup(dbName);
Connection conn = dataSource.getConnection();
String SelectStmt = "Select * from INV_CUSTOMER";
PreparedStatement stmt = conn.prepareStatement(SelectStmt);
ResultSet resultSet = stmt.executeQuery();
I logged into the database using user superdba in sqlcli, and created the table "INV_CUSTOMER". I am trying to run this application in my sneak preview java installation which comes with maxdb 7.6. But when I run the app, it always throws up the error:
The SQL statement "SELECT * FROM "INV_CUSTOMER"" contains the semantics error[s]: - 1:15 - the table or view >>INV_CUSTOMER<< does not exist
I am new to this concept, so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Hi,
It seems to me like there is more than one issue here. Let me try and help you out with some details.
1.) If you have created the Dictionary project and the code in your original post is not giving you problems then it's good. However, the problem of the data disappearing from your Java Dictionary seems little bit wierd. You need to ensure that you are not running any "delete" command and ensure that the select statement (of it has and conditions) is correct.
2.) As far as where the tables actually reside: When you create the Dictionary tables in a Dictionary Project- this will actually create a script that will be run on the server that has an installed database (like Oracle, MSSQL Server or MaxDB, UDB). This means that the dictionary tables are just an abstraction of actual database tables.
In order to ensure that you are not deleting the data - debug your Web Dynpro Application or EJB so that you can go through it step by step and see whether all the database statements are correct. Sometimes you may not get an SQL error due to a NullPointer in the dynamic queries as well - so keep a check on that as well.
If you require a more detailed solution - please give us a small piece of code that we can analyse.
Hope that helps.
Thanks.,

Error while configuring Debugging for WebDynpro Application
Hi Experts,
I am trying to configure Portal server for debugging a WebDynpro application.
In NWDS , in Debug configuration
When i tried to add my Webdynpro Project and application under Debug tab , No problem.
But when i checked J2EE Engine tab : it showed the following error.
<b>[J2EE Engine]: the selected server node does not run in restricted load balancing mode, please configure it correctly so that the URL extention can be used</b>
And ignoring it when i started debugging the application , the URL was formed like this :
http://<host>:50000/@@@DEBUG@@@7672950/webdynpro/dispatcher
/local/WDtest/WDtest?SAPtestId=1
with the error : The requested resource does not exist.
Details: Go to main page of this application!
Can anybody help me to fix the configuration.
Regards,
Ashish ShahHi,
To configure to the debugging mode... follow the steps:
1. Select "SDM" from J2EE engine (To get this view navigate thru Window--> Show View --> J2EE Engine)
2. Make a right click on "SDM" and choose "Enabling Debugging of Process"
3. Now, Navigate to Run --> Debug --> Select your Project as "Webdynpro Application" and click "new" button
4. Now give some name and Click BROWSE to select ur project and then click APPLY and DEBUG
Or if u use 2004s, then u can do the settings in Portal itself...which gives u more clear information... follow the link

Upload / Download document to KM Content Server from WebDynpro Application
I have a requirement where I need to upload / download document into / from KM Content Server from my WebDynpro Application.
Is it technically possible and if Yes, can I get any Sample code for this.Hi Tahzeeb,
first of all i would point you to the JavaDocs for KMC API.
https://media.sdn.sap.com/javadocs/NW04/SPS15/km/index.html
And here is a small example of reading and storing KM resources.
For reading:
* Returns a resource as an InputStream from the KM repository
* at the given path. The IUser is needed for authorization.
* @param user IUser for checking authorisation.
* @param resPath Path to the KM resource.
* @return Requested resource as a stream.
private InputStream getKmResource(final IUser user, final String resPath)
throws ResourceAccessException {
try {
final IResourceFactory factory = ResourceFactory.getInstance();
final RID rid = RID.getRID(resPath);
final IResource kmResource =
factory.getResource(
rid,
new ResourceContext(getDeprecatedIUser(user)));
if (kmResource == null) {
throw new ResourceNotFoundException(
"KM resource not found: " + resPath,
resPath);
return kmResource.getContent().getInputStream();
catch (WcmException e) {
throw new ResourceAccessException("Error accessing KM resource: " + resPath, e, resPath);
And for writing:
* Stores a resource in the KM repository at the given path with the given name and mimetype.
* Content is taken from the given inputstream.
* @param user IUser for checking authorisation.
* @param resName Name of the resource
* @param resPath Path to the resource
* @param mimeType MimeType of the resource
* @param inputStream Resource content
* @throws ResourceAccessException
private void putKmResource(
final IUser user,
final String resName,
final String resPath,
final String mimeType,
final InputStream inputStream)
throws ResourceAccessException {
try {
final ResourceContext rContext = new ResourceContext(getDeprecatedIUser(user));
final RID rid = RID.getRID(resPath);
final ICollection kmCollection =
(ICollection) ResourceFactory.getInstance().getResource(rid, rContext);
if (kmCollection == null) {
throw new ResourceNotFoundException(
"KM resource not found: " + resPath,
resPath);
else {
IContent kmContent = new Content(inputStream, mimeType, -1);
IResource kmResource = kmCollection.createResource(resName, null, kmContent);
catch (ResourceException e) {
throw new ResourceAccessException("Error accessing KM resource: " + resPath, e, resPath);
finally {
try {
inputStream.close();
catch (IOException e1) {
throw new ResourceAccessException("Error closing InputStream when accessing " + resPath, e1, resPath);
Hope that helps for a start.
Best regards,
