Error in result query

Hi all,
I have a problem with total row for one key figure in the query
Example:
    customer QTY OGNEW OGOLD %OG
     1000        300      50          10        4
     2000        500      70          20        2,5
tot                800     120         30        10
The problem is in the total row of column %OG.
The %OG is calculated as %OG=OGNEW-OGOLD/OGOLD, but the value in total row is wrong, why?
In the property of %OG I have setting not definition in the 'calculate result as' because must be calculate with the formula.
Can You help me please?
Thanks in advance
Gianmarco

The formula is already built as
%OG=OGNEW%OGOLD
and in property of key figure I've setting nothing defined,
Unfortunately I don't obtain right result.
Any suggest please?
Gianmarco

  • Error in Result Query - Using %

    Hi All,
    I have this problem:
I'm using %A (Percentage Share) to calculate the percentage between two values. For example:
    99 %A 51 = -48,48%  (This result is OK)
    But,
    -1005 %A -1018 = -1,29% (This result is NOK, the correct is 1,29).
The same problem occurs when I'm use % (Percentage Variance).
The results are calculated correctly but the signal is inverted.
    Can you help me?
    Regards,
    Alex

Let your definition be as it is.Check my logic below.
    Column A
Here you are getting result as follows now:(considering two examples)
    case1: 10
    Case 2: -1.29
Now in the new formula you can do this
    Column A * -1 . Let this be column B.
Hide this column. and Columns A too.
    Now in a new formula:Column C
If Column A is less than ColumnB then Column B else Column A. This will give yo all the results as you expected.
You can extend my logic to manage negative values further.....

  • No result returned or XML returned contains error in test query

    Hello,
I have a problem with Visual Composer 7.0. When I try to execute a test query it shows the following error:
'No result returned or XML returned in the result contains error'. What could it be?
    Thanks,
    Belen

Either your query doesn't return results or you don't have the MSXML Parser installed on your client.

I'm not too sure what syntax you're using, and Oracle doesnt have a "datetime" datatype. Is that SQLServer datatype and syntax?
    Anyway, does this help?

  • Mapping proc output to vars gets error extracting result into a variable of type (DBTYPE_UI2)

Hi, we run std 2012.  I have a proc (sets nocount on) whose params r shown in the first block .   My execute ssis sql task mapping is shown in the block following that (same order as shown, the param sizes are all -1).  The variable
characteristics and initial values are shown in the 3rd block.  The execute sql task command is
exec usp_fileArrivalStatus ?,?,?,?,?,? output,? output,? output
when I run the proc in ssms followed by a select on the output fields, I get stat 0, instance id -1 and file name empty string (aka tick tick aka '')
    The error is:
[Execute SQL Task] Error: Executing the query "exec usp_fileArrivalStatus ?,?,?,?,?,? output,? ou..." failed with the following error:
"An error occurred while extracting the result into a variable of type (DBTYPE_UI2)".
Possible failure reasons: Problems with the query, "ResultSet" property not set correctly, parameters not set correctly, or connection not established correctly.
Does anybody know what is wrong?

I may have gotten past this.  The ui showed the first execution of that proc as the aborting component but when I looked at my error code (-1073548784), and component name in the
message sent with notification email, I noticed the second component name.  It too executes that proc and still had ushort for appid in sql task mapping and long for instance id.  I changed these characteristics to match what I posted and got green
on the seq container that runs both.
I think I go thru this kind of adventure every time I try to map proc output to ssis vars.

You see how repeat first column? This is the problem I have.
I hope you can support me.
    In advance,
    Thanks a lot.

    Tom,
thanks for your support. My problem is when CFSTOREDPROC
returns the result, because it returns me several columns with the
same name (EXPRESSION). In CFMX 8 with Informix Driver, it returned
COMPUTED_COLUMN_1, COMPUTED_COLUMN_2 and so, but now, with CFMX
8.0.1 and JDBC driver for Informix 11.50 returns (EXPRESSION) and
repeat the value of first row first column. I tryed with Centauro
(ColdFusion 9) using Informix Driver and all works great. What I am
doing is transform my StoredProcedures to CFQUERY and CFC, but of
course, it is a lot of work, :D

  • MS SQL - Syntax error for valid query

I have a problem with the second query in this code (gives me
a syntax error in my HAVING line)

Now, the really odd thing is if I just take the query text
out of the CFQUERY tags and use CFOUTPUT instead (to see in my
browser what query is getting executed) I get a query that I can
paste into Enterprise Mgr and runs fine.
I can even paste the resulting text into my code in a CFQUERY
and CF will run it fine.
In other words, the dynamic version query gives me an error,
but if I just output the SQL statement, copy-and-paste that into
the CFQUERY that's erroring out (replacing what's there) to run as
a static query, it works fine (sample of static query below).
The error I get when I try to do it dynamically is "Error

    starts.

As I said the default behavior is to escape the quotes in
    your variables
as data. So the default output of your SQL statement, before
    preserveSingleQuotes() would be like this.
    HAVING formNum = ''12345'' OR formNum = ''54321''
As you can see that is not the desired results in your case.
    In your
case you have the proper number of single quotes in your
    string and you
do not want any added. You want to preserve them so to say.
    Thus
    adding preserveSingleQuotes() around your whereClase
    variable, i.e.
preserveSingleQuotes(whereClause) says do not add any quotes,
    keep them
    all single.

  • Count() function throws error in EQL query for metric

    Hi
I am trying to use count function in EQL query for Metric Bar to show the number of occurrences of a record.
When the record type doesn't exist i expect the function to return count as 0. Instead the function throws a runtime exception and the whole Metric Bar portlet fails, with error No Results Available. Even though other components in the metric bar have valid results.
2013-02-21 13:03:51,216 WARN [MetricsBarQueryProcessor] The EQL query does not return any results.
2013-02-21 13:03:51,216 ERROR [MetricsBarQueryProcessor] The EQL query does not return any results.
2013-02-21 13:03:51,216 WARN [MetricsBarResultsProcessor] No statement results to process.
The EQL query i am using is
    RETURN NUMBER_OCCURS AS SELECT COUNT(EMP_ID) AS NUMBER_OCCURS where EMP_NAME IS NOT NULL group;
I tried using COALESCE but that doesn't help.
Can some one please suggest a workaround to this?

    Srikanth,
Two statements are used here because the original question was pertaining to the null set (where there are employees in the nav state but no employees that fit the special analytics criteria in the navigation state). The question/answer has nothing to do with what is in the COUNT parentheses clause as Counting a null set will always give you NULL, not 0, no matter what you put in there.
What we're really doing, in the second part of the query, is writing a query over a set of data that is not the null set (i.e. the current navigation state). This allows the 0 value to come through in the case where the first analytics statement is evaluated over a null set of records. If there were truly no records in the navigation state, this too would return a null set and not zero.
Hope that makes sense, feel free to respond (either on here or offline) if it's unclear.

    Hi,
And also click on check option by opening the query in Query designer,as Mr . Arun suggested.

Do anyone have any idea about this error. The query was running and i was able to see the output but suddenly it throws this error.
    Awaiting for response.
    Thanks

Its an Oracle database error, possibly caused because your file system has filled up, or because the disk device is no longer available. Possibly caused by a Sort operation on your query causing the TEMP segment to auto extend and fill up the filesystem, but I'm guessing at the last bit.
You need to contact your DBA to investigate further.

Dear Purushotham, You can maintain the Fiscal year Variant in OB29. 2 possibilities, #1 : Data for the FYV/Year could be wrong. #2 : Updates for Fiscal Year might not have been done. You can maintaine FY varients up to FY 2XXX in your BW system. This should fix the error. The table T009 must be the same as we get when we do OB29 TCode in BW, so via SPRO do rebuild of table again.

    Hi,
    1) When a query administrator with the sufficient authorization (sap_all or the * authorization for the field in the authorization object) is creating the query in query designer including the 'attributes' which are not visible with the 'normal' authorizations, the query will not list the columns in the output when it is executed by the normal user.
    2) so create an authorization object for each of these attributes with * (full authorization)
