Error in setting FileTypeDescriptor for jmfcam

Question

I am attempting to get code working that will display from a capture device. The capture device info is:
Video device = vfw:Microsoft WDM Image Capture (Win32):0
Video format = YUV Video Format: Size = java.awt.Dimension[width=640,height=480] MaxDataLength = 614400 DataType = class [B yuvType = 32 StrideY = 1280 StrideUV = 1280 OffsetY = 0 OffsetU = 1 OffsetV = 3
The processor gets created in the following code:

When the code attempts to call the processor's getDataOutput(), the following error is generated:
Failed to realize: com.sun.media.ProcessEngine@1549f94
Error: Unable to realize com.sun.media.ProcessEngine@1549f94
javax.media.CannotRealizeException
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NullPointerException

A couple of things...
First off, you might as well just use the default VFW device if you're going to be hard-coding the values.
MediaLocator ml = new MediaLocator("vfw://0");Second, if you check the list of formats that JMF supports...

You'll see that while JMF does support YUV format, it does not support sending it via RTP.
If you're wanting to encode something for transmission via RTP, you need to pick one of the supported RTP formats.
