Error in smartform printing where main data of the form is blacked out

Hi Guys,
I encountered a problem when printing my form. The main window is blacked out (not blank) but viewing it in SAP data are correctly displayed. The main window is a table. Hope you guys can help. Thanks a lot.

Sorry mate I thought it is SAPScript and giving solutions for SAP script now I realised it is SF, this could be one of the reasons...
double click on main window and click on Output options tab at the bottom you will see saturation under shading label, if it is 100% then it will black out your page try to set to 0%, for normal white display for grey shade keep 10 %

Problem printing date on the form

Hello friends ,
I am doing form for the HR . Is there any special formatting needed to print the date on the form . I am doing this .
&t_payment-paydate& in the main window of the form .
t_payment is the table and paydate the date of payment . But instead of printing 1/22/2006 . It is printing 3//20/07/2 some junk value . Is it the format related problem ?
Any suggestions . You help would be greatly appreciated .

You can do like this.
You make the following changes in the program
1. Define a character type field
     data: v_payment_date(10) type c.
2. Assign the date value to the character field
      write t_payment-paydate to v_payment_date.
You make the following changes in your sapscript text element.
    instead of using field t_payment-paydate use v_payment_date.

I have finished the form,now its saving.
Actually i ahce examined a form of same in other instance,in that form the data block which is using API in its trigger is first but the form which was not saving was second to other data block
When i changed the datablock order and compiled,now its saving the form.

First design your custom form and configure that form(assign to appropriate node in SPRO) in SPRO under following path: Travel Management->Travel Expense->Dialog and travel Expense Control->Forms->PDF-Based Forms->Set up feature TRVFE for settlement form (Execute).
Give the custom form name in that node.

Forms 10g: error FRM-92101: There was a failure in the Forms Server during

AS10g (9.0.4.1) on windows 2000 with 2 GB of ram
We have an application with 10 - 15 users. Sometimes,when users exit from forms with the command exit_form, in a randomic way the form hangs with the error FRM-92101: There was a failure in the Forms Server during startup.....
After the users have to close the browser and open another sessione of explorer.
In the same time other users work fine.
The problem happens more then 10 times a day.
Is there a solution ?

I have also run into similar problem.
In my case, this problem has been carried over from Forms 6i to Forms 10g. In forms 6i it wrote an error file in the same folder where *.fmx file was stored.
For 10gAS, look into <ORACLE_HOME midtier>\forms90\trace folder for a file *.trc. Open it up in notepad. It will tell you which trigger was being executed when the form failed.
Put any comment in the PL/SQL of that trigger, recompile the form and the problem will go away.
I usually put something like:
dummy statement for FRM-92101.
I do not know why it works but in my case it has.

Form with report, where some items in the form have been given values.

Hi, greetings:
I have a question that maybe silly but annoying to me. I need to provide a form with report, where some items in the form have been given values automatically, and these items (display only) are supposed to show given values in the form automatically.
I used the APEX form with report. The update and delete worked well. But I cannot show automatic values when insert. By default APEX insert form makes every item null; I tried to give value for two items: P5212_USERKEY, P5212_DAILY_VER_DATE with process before header, after header, after regions and before footer, and computation, or set values of these two items in the branch when user hit create button (submit). It never worked out, the two items always displayed null value, and when I insert, I got "ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("TBSBI"."DAILYVERPRODNOTE"."USERKEY")", since I have set up constraint in database that these two columns should not be null.
Could anyone help on this? any suggestion would be appreciated.

If you have made these values 'Display Only' they would by default not save the session state. Accessing the page items will always return NULL. Did you change the 'Save Session State' option to 'Yes'?

It's hard to know what logic you are trying to implement.
However, by looking at your code, it seems that if the user select 'Yes' to the question "Do you want to refresh", nothing is done except the go_block('wet_criterias'). Should there be an 'Execute_Query' ?
No idea...

In the NACE tcode select the application and then click on output types and then select the output types and then processing routines.

Pre-populating Server's Current Date in the form- How to??

The simplest way of doing this is writing one-line formcalc script.
This is not fair when the user changes his local system date/time.
I need to know how to pre-populate the server date in the form?
One way of doing this is writing a web service.
Any other simple solution to do this??

If you are using LiveCycle Forms (7.x, ES, or ES2), with .pdf rendering on the server or the client, you can execute the script server side. Otherwise you have no other option but to access an external resource (REST, Web Service, JSP/servlet, etcetera) for the time, if you need to accurately capture form open time on the desktop.

Hold data in the form

Hello,
i have a form( start.jsp) in which i can enter data about a person. The form data is bound to a person class which is saved in db. After submitting the form i inform the user ( in another page) that the submitting were successfull. But after coming back to the start.jsp to create a new person i still have the old person information data in the form. How can I have a form without my previous data.
My bean has to be in session scope and not in request scope.

Sorting data in the form

Is there any other way to sort data in the form other than the order by block property? I have a form built off of a view. The view returns data quickly up until I add the order by clause. his happens in sqlplus as well as in the form.
