i see tomcat running good
when i ask for dscc i get above error ,seems java error think so, but i install java before as of installing solaris 10 OS,is there any solution for this issue.

Error During Solaris 8 Installation

I am getting the following error message while installing solaris 8 on my intel based computer.
Error : Could not mount filesystems .
Error : could not opern /a/etc/vfstab .
and the installation halts and the prompt comes up.
The packages are partially installed.
Pls help me out in this.

At this point in the install there are so many things that could lead
to these errors. I would suggest going right to Sun's Install support
by calling 800 USA-4SUN and following the prompts to warranty
support. There you can verify your hardware compatibility and any
other issue you might have.

Error occur when installing iPlanet App server 6.0 SP2

Dear All,
I have problems in installing the iPlanet App server 6.0 SP2 in Solaris.
I choose typical installation and select default settings.
- install iplanet server
- typical install
- install ALL components
However, the following errors occur during the installation:
sh: ./pre_nas_preinst: not found
ERROR. Failure installing iPlanet Application Server Web Connector Component. Do you want to continue [n]?
ERROR. Failure installing iPlanet Application Server Core Server Component. Do you want to continue [n]?
ERROR. ...........
What's the problem with it? Could anyone help....?

I would recommend to use the latest version of application server which is iAS6.5sp1MU2. Try this out and see if you run into any problems. Also please check the release notes available at docs.sun.com to check the compatibility.

Error messages while installing x86 on PIII

How can I over come that error messages while installing x86 on PIII GA-60XT Socket 370 Processor Motherboard .
Strange problem . I did not face that problem with previous versions
of Solaris 10. I used Sun's Download Manager with the same results. I
used Nero to burn the DVD file : sol-10-u5-ga-x86-dvd.iso.
Those are the steps I did . Please tell me any errors about it :

I originally resurrected a thread from 2012 and attempted to hijack it away for my own question. However, a kind forum moderator split it away to let it stand on its own since I wasn't trying to help that original post but was only concerned about my own system.

Error Message when installing Adobe AIR

Hi, I am running XP and previously had Adobe AIR installed ok. I recently removed the install of Adobe AIR and have tried to reload it but get the below error message:
"An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator."
I have tried safe mode, registry cleaners, turning of the firewall, pop ups and anti-virus, to installing as an Administrator without luck and get exactly the same error message. I notice I am not alone after searching Google but haven’t found anything that works.
I would really appreciate some guidance on what do next or from someone that has experienced the same issues.

I use Windows 64 bit with Internet Explorer 64x.
I'm able to download, the installation starts but it stops before completing.

I solved my problem by installing the Flash Player from home.
The network security at work prevented me from completing installation.

SQL Server 2012 installed
Tried:
kb 2765260 method 1 which is kb 2771431 which ends with "not applicable to computer"
kb 2765260 method 2 with no effect (this was power shell commands for PC's connected to the internet)
One post suggested "aspnet_regii - enable -i" but my OS doesn't have aspnet_regii on it (not sure what that implies)
One post suggested ServerManagerCmd.exe needed to be installed which sounds true as shown below (but where do I find this exe?)
There are some errors in the log file, I only included the portions where the errors are listed. The initial lines are at the top of the log file, then I skipped to the section where the other errors were. I can include the whole log if
it becomes necessary.

I'm presuming the first 2 errors are OK and just indicate optional startup modes for prerequisiteinstaller.exe
The 2nd set of errors seems more serious. I don't see ServerManagerCmd.exe on my PC that's listed in the error
I don't understand the last error which I'm supposing triggered the listed error even though there are other errors in the log.
Many of the existing posts don't match the configuration I'm using, and the ones that do match didn't seem to provide a usable answer. Any help is appreciated. Do these problems exist using Sever 2012 Standard? I will try that, but would
like to resolve the issue here with R2.

ServerManagerCMD.exe is a deprecated utility and (as far as I know) is only found on Server 2008 versions, so I'm surprised it's needed for the preinstaller. Are you trying to install SharePoint 2010?

looks like here is the your problem "An error occurred while getting information about the user moss.service
at server telenor.com.pk: Access is denied"
try to add the user into the managed account via powershell. the user you trying to configure it.
or change the user to some body else here is culprit account "telenorpk\moss.service"
