Error in User Management and Assigning Role

Hi,
I have configured LDAP authentication on LiveCycle Server. I get the userlist with LDAP in my admin console under User Management - User & Groups. But as soon I click on any of the LDAP username I am getting error to contact administrator. Same also happens when I check the checbox infront of the username and tries to assing role.
My Livecycle server is on WAS6.1, I also have server setup on my local where the same LDAP i have configured and I am able to access users and assign role. Is there any problem with WAS6.1 ?
I checked the logs and i got following exception in server logs.

Am not sure what type of BI server installation you have...
But here's one way you could create your users.
From the BI Administration Tool --> Open your repository either offline or online --> From the menu click on Manage --> Security--> Here's where you could create your users, groups etc., set what subject areas each user/group should have access to --> After creating your users/groups you could double-click on the user or group and set permissions.

Report on portal User ID and Assign Roles for all portal users

I would like to know , is there way that we can get a report which shows all the portal user ids with there assign portal roles. If we can't get this from portal. Can we get it from Oracle database ?
What are the oracle tables and fields which store this information?
If nay one have a custom develop iview for this please let me know

Hi Ramesh,
as Pascal stated (and as I did above), if developing within the portal is not really new for you, playing around with the UME API is really more or less trivial.
Check Portal User and Role info as well as User to Role listing for similar requests and code hints / further links.

I got into

chose Publish Service Definition
SAP Registry
and tried login with my user which has sap_all
and also with j2ee_admin
and get the following msg
Registry Error: The user ID and password pair passed in a get_authToken message is not known to the Operator Site or is not valid
have some1 managed to solve it ?

Issue in User Management and Permissions

Hi,
There is an issue found while working on user management and security. When an asset is uploaded to the DAM, even with create and modify permission it is not able to edit.
While analyzing, it was due to the following reasons.
When given “MODIFY” permission to the root folder, it is not applying to all the asset in that folder and sub-folders.
We have to provide “MODIFY” permission for each asset, in this case it won’t apply for newly added asset.
When given “DELETE” permission to the root folder, “MODIFY” permission is applying automatically to all the asset in that folder and sub-folders.
But “myRole” only should modify the asset but not delete.
Is it CQ functionality or an issue.?
Note: Using CQ5.5 version

In CQ5.4 "MODIFY" permission at folder level is enough for modifying the assets under that folder. But in CQ5.5 "MODIFY" permission is necessary for every asset for editing.

User management and Access Control in HCM Cloud

Information is scarce about User management and Access Control in Oracle Cloud generally. Today, I have two questions :
- How can I bridge HCM Cloud user store with my on-premise IDM or security repository in order to allow identty governance to flow to HCM Cloud service ?
The only information I got was that you can declare manually and by bulk import through files my users. This is not really interresting as I have an automatic IDM with workflows and identity control on provisioning and de-provisioning.
Is there a SPML or proprietary endpoint to do it automatically ? What are the prerequisites ? Do I have to implement OIM on my side ?
- Once my users are created, how can I do webSSO from my internal security repositories to the HCM Cloud service ?
I do not want to distribute new set of login / passwords to my users. Is it possible to do Identity Federation (SAML 2.0 or WS-Fed) with HCM Cloud service ? What are the prerequisites ? Do I have to implement OAM on my side ?
I accept all pieces of information you can give me on this topic to help me understand the funcitonalites, limits and options offered by Oracle Cloud and more precisely by HCM Cloud service.

OIDDAS has limited capability of access control and information hiding. Presently, the permissions and privileges can be set at a realm level, and fine grained access control / information hiding cannot be done.
At present, the only way to restrict view and access control is by appplying ACLs (which is not the safest bet).

Authorisation error : Check user id and password

Just out of the blues our production box started giving out this error " Authorisation error : Check user id and pwd" ..All the users are valid users and SLD and RWB in the Java GUI but the IR and ID do not log in...Has anybody faced this error before ..Any advise please..

I restarted the J2EE and it solved all these issues..But my question is what would have triggered this as I haven't upgraded or added any patches...The only activity we did was to recycle our entire box recently..Thanks for the suggestions..I can't find the points icon..I would like to award you some..

Hi David,
I am not sure whether a callable object can be assigned to more than one user or not, but for assigning one single user to a callable object inside a process, follow the following steps:
1)Put the callable object in an action.
2)Put the action in a block.
3)In the block, under the Roles tab, you will be able to see an item called Processor of <name of action containing this callable object>. You don't need to do anything. If you wish, all you can do here that you can consolidate roles of more than one action under a single name such that one user is assigned to all those actions. For the time being, don't do anything.
4)Put the block in the process.
5)In the process, under the Roles tab, you would be able to see the same item Processor of <name of action containing this callable object> and a drop down in front of it. Choose Initiation Defined from the drop down.
6)In the process itself, open the Default Roles tab, and now you would be able to see the same item Processor of <name of action containing this callable object>. Just click the Add Default button, search for the user, and assign him to this Processor.
These steps will make sure that when you run the process, the CO Assign users to process role could be opened by only the user you assigned this CO to.

SECATT - Mass creation of users with different assigned roles

Hello! I've been tasked with creating an eCATT to do a mass creation of users and each user will have a different role assigned (besides the general roles). We're doing this to test out the different roles we have created. I've done some searching through the forums and found some different ideas but I'm not sure they are exactly what I need. One suggestion was to use SU10 to make the role assignement but I'm guessing I would still need to setup a parameter for each role so I would initially need to know how many roles would be entered. I would like for the eCATT to be able to handle assigning multiple roles to a user with each user possibly getting a different number of roles. Would anyone be able to suggest a way to assign different roles to different users through an eCATT?

Hi Wendy,
To create users, maybe SU01 or SU10 can be used. To assign users to a role, maybe you can try with PFCG.
SU01 and SU10 have the view from the user - for each user, different roles can be selected and assigned to that user.
PFCG has the view of roles - for each role, different users can be selected and assigned to that role.
Hence if you know which roles should be assigned to which users, PFCG might be easier.

Error in User Management Link CRM 7.0

As per CRM 7.0 standard functionality (with ECC as a back end), USER MANAGEMENT Link is available to maintain WEBSHOP Logon users.
We are getting the below error when we try to maintain the USERS through that link
"SERIAL NUMBER MISSING u2013 ENTRIES IGNORED INT"
Due to this we are not able to create users through USER ADMIN Link.
Please advice on the above error.

List of Portal users with the assigned Roles.....

Hello All,
I am working on EP6 SP9 and want to know from where can I get a list of all Portal users along with the assigned roles for each of them.
One way I found is by searching for all users in User Administration role and along with the searched users, there is also an icon for Assigned roles.
Apart from the above mentioned way, is there any other way by which I can get a direct list of the same. Is there a Java sample code for this.....?

This code gives you the list of all the users of your portal along with the roles assigned to them.
Apart from this if you want you want to know all the roles assigned to the user on portal itself then the way you mentioned is the correct method.

I receive an error stating user name and password are not valid on my ipad and iphone 3Gs when attempting to load email from my icloud account. When I log onto icloud from my Mac, it wont load the email either.

One day, my ipad and iphone pick up my emails (.mac account) from icloud just fine. the next day, I recieved error messages that say my user name and password are not accurate. I removed the icloud program on both devices and added it back on to both devices and get the same message. I logged into icloud from my Mac and while I can log in, it times out when I select email and wont load the email there either. Any Suggestons?

I am having the same problem; it started about 24-36 hours ago.
I know my ID/PW combo are correct because I can access all other aspects of iCloud except mail.
iPhone -- returns incorrect ID / Password
iPad -- Same
Mail.app on Mac -- returns incorrect password error
icloud.com -- allows me to log in and use all functions accept mail. When I try to use mail it stays on a white screen for about 60 seconds then returns a dialogue box that indicates a server error.
I contacted Apple and they placed my iCloud account into something called "Troubleshooting" mode. They generated a new strong password and sent it on to "Engineering."
I suspect there are a small number ofo users like you who are affected with the same problem I am. Too small a number for it to be reported as an outtage. I suggest you call Apple and open a case to have your mail investigaged.
