Error in WEBUTIL_FILE_TRANSFER.AS_To_Client if client ip path provided
Hi All,
I am using forms Version 10.1.2.0.2 (Production)
In my application i have to transfer the "test.tif" file stored in application server to fax client machine. I have used webutil for transfer with ip address of the fax client.
x:=WEBUTIL_FILE_TRANSFER.AS_To_Client('\\10.10.10.33\fax\test.tif' , 'd:\temp.tif');
But its giving the error
*ERROR>WUT-131 [WEBUTIL_FILE_TRANSFER.DownloadInt] Invalid client file name 10.10.10.33\fax\test.tif. Cannot create client file.*
the webutil config file have following details added
#List transfer.appsrv.read.<n> directories
transfer.appsrv.read.1=d:\temp
transfer.appsrv.read.2=c:\temp
transfer.appsrv.read.3=\\10.10.10.33\fax
#List transfer.appsrv.write.<n> directories
transfer.appsrv.write.1=c:\temp
transfer.appsrv.write.2=d:\temp
transfer.appsrv.write.3=\\10.10.10.33\fax
Can someone please provide me solution in which i can specify the ip path of client machine for file transfer.
To transfer from the App Server to another machine, you have several options:
1. Use the HOST command. This may be difficult depending on the server's platform and security configuration. If Windows, by default the process (Forms) will not have permission to access network resources (i.e. mapped/shared drives). You will need to refer to the Microsoft documentation in order to overcome these restrictions.
2. Use HOST to execute a ftp connection for transferring the file. Of course the remote machine must support ftp. If you have access to "My Oracle Support", see note 110531.1
3. Create a java class which could be imported into the form that can perform this task. Refer to the Forms Java Importer documentation for information about importing java for server side execution. Also, here is a starting place for the java information:

Webutil_file_transfer.as_to_client WUT-121 error?!
I am trying to transfer a .csv file (22k) from my Apps Server using webutil_file_transfer.as_to_client('c:\temp/','c:\epsis/reports/serv.csv') command.
I have amended my webutil.cfg to allow file transfers and other webutil functions work fine so I am presuming the install is good.
I continue to get the WUT-121 error but don't understand why. Any suggestions?To transfer from the App Server to another machine, you have several options:

Problem with webutil_file_transfer.as_to_client
Hi all,
I am migrating some Forms/Reports from 6i to 10g, well, when i make a report sometimes i want to save some of those reports from server to client.
For doing this i am using the WEBUTIL functinality with webutil_file_transfer.as_to_client.
this works fine with some reports but doesn't work with other ones, but the problem is that no error appers, it just doesn't write the report, so i don't know what is the problem
thx in advance.Hi Michael,
I have found what it's the problem.
As i said i am upgrading reports from 6i to 10g,
when i run the report in 6i, the report is generated always with data, for example, if the result of the query is nothing, the report is created with the date, name of the report, and some other information that appears in all of my reports by default, so the report is created and then transferred.
when i run the report in 10g, and the result of the query takes back some data, the report is created in the the server and then transferred properly, but when i create the report as a txt file, it's created without the default data, i don't know why, but those data doesn't appears, but only in .txt files, it works perfectly with .pdf file.
So the problem comes when the user run's a report with no query result, then in the OracleAS it says it's has been created, but as it's empty, it doesn't tranfer the file to the client machine.
It's a very strange thing, i don't understand why in 6i it adds the default data to the report, and in 10g it doesn't add that default data...
P.S: As my english is not very good, when i say default data, i mean eveything that is not returned with the querys of the report, for example the date, the name of the report...
Do you guys have any idea of why this could happen only with txt files?
thx for your time! -
Dear Experts,
I have tried mutual authentication with sample website as per below link:
http://itq.nl/testing-with-client-certificate-authentication-in-a-development-environment-on-iis-8-5/#comment-19427
1. Created a Root certificate, client and server certificate based on this root certificate by using Makecert command as per below link:
2. Import these certificates in Trusted Root Certification authority of both the stores (Local and Current user)
3. Created a sample website with HTML page
4.Hosted this website in IIS with HTTPS binding and selected the above server certifcate
5. Enabled "Require SSL" and selected "Require" under SSL settings of website
6. Exported the client certificate in base64 format --> Edited in notepad --> made the key into single line
7. Placed the above key under Configuration editor --> system.webServer/security/authentication/iisClientCertificateMappingAuthentication --> one to one mapping with user credentials.
8. I tried to access the website
But, I ended with below error :(
HTTP Error 403.16 - Forbidden

Thanks in advance.
Regards,
M. Prasad Reddy.Hi Prasad,
As per this case, I have been shared the corresponding details below
1.First of all,make sure that you import the certificate whether it belongs to Trusted RootCertification or not .
If that is the case ,Goto Microsoft Management Console (MMC), open the Certificates snap-in.
For instance, the certificate store that WCF is configured to retrieve X.509 certificates from, select the Trusted RootCertification Authoritiesfolder. Under the Trusted Root Certification Authorities folder, right-click the Certificatesfolder,
point to All Tasks, and then click Import.
2.you configured the server certificate as well, But check the client certificate whether have root certificate or not by following command?
makecert -pe -n "CN=SSLClientAuthClient"
-eku 1.3.6.1.5.5.7.3.2 -is root -ir localmachine -in WebSSLTestRoot
-ss my -sr currentuser -len 2048
3. Also check the Service Certificate whether its configured on the WCF Service side
4.Make sure that you followed all the steps are done correctly from your given referred link below
http://itq.nl/testing-with-client-certificate-authentication-in-a-development-environment-on-iis-8-5/#comment-19427
5.Besides, please try to set the require SSL as ignore to see if you can access the website.
If the above details cannot able to resolve this issue, please post your config file here. -
Error 403.7 - Forbidden: SSL client certificate is required
Hi people!
Im developing a java client to a WebService (developed in .NET). The communication protocol is HTTPS to the URL where the Web Service is located (something like https://10.200.140.117/dirNotes/serviceName.asmx.). Ive been reading many posts but I could'nt find the solution to the problem wich has the following message: Error 403.7 - Forbidden: SSL client certificate is required".
Im using JDK 1.5 and developing and testing on Windows Plataform. I'm able to access the URL specified above directly from the browser, I installed the client certificate (the same that ve put into the ,jks keystore. Ive also imported the whole certificate chain of the server to the cacerts.
Ill paste the code and the console trace below. Id be very grateful if you can help me. Thanks a lot.

Hi all,
The Forms webapplication I'm working on has to talk with a cardreading-application on the client-PC. The communication is carried out by exchanging small files. Reading from the client by Forms on the AS goes well (using client_text_io from webutil). The problem arises when the application has to respond back with a file. The file is made on the AS and then transfered from the AS to the client using webutil_file_transfer.as_to_client. This file can not be read by the cardreading application when the AS is on Linux. Our developement AS server is on a Windows 2000 box and then the communication doesn't show this problem.
If I open the file from the AS on Linux , I can see that there is only 1 long line. The Windows version of the file contains 2 lines (as it should be). It seems that before/during/after the transfer some special characters like carriage return and tab are causing the problem.
Looking in web_file_transfer.as_to_client I see that the procedure reads lines from a temporary file into a buffer. The lines are separated by a CHR(10). Could the transfer from Linux to Windows(DOS) cause a problem with these characters ?
Has anyone experienced this problem ? If someone has a clue this would be very welcome.
We work with :
- Forms and AS 10.1.2.0.2
- Webutil 1.0.6
- Development OS: Windows 2000 (Service Pack 4)
- Production OS: Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 3 (Taroon Update 3)
- Client-PC OS: Windows 2000 (Service Pack 4)
Thanx,
EnricoWithout going into a long winded answer, the only thing I can really offer is to say this... If you feel as though your code has been correctly written and you simply cannot identify any other possible solution, add SYNCHRONIZE. In short, its execution acts similar to a reset or refresh button.
Another common place where SYNCHRONIZE has been helpful is when calling RUN_REPORT_OBJECT. For example, if you use the code we offer in the Forms/Reports Integration document you will find that it works very well - most of the time. However, sometimes it fails for what seems to be unexplainable reasons. If you message out the values being assigned you will see that some variable values are not being set even though the code execution has already passed the point where a value should have been assigned. Adding the SYNCHRONIZE just after the point where the value should have been assigned forces the assignment before executing the next line of code. For example,
v_rep := RUN_REPORT_OBJECT(repid);
rep_status := report_object_status(v_rep);
In the above code, a request for a report is made followed by a check of its status. At this point you would expect that the status would be something like one of the following:
'RUNNING', 'OPENING_REPORT', 'ENQUEUED'
However, we have seen instances where the value assigned to the variable would actually be NULL, which of course will make the rest of the code likely fail. By adding SYNCHRONIZE the problem is correctable.
v_rep := RUN_REPORT_OBJECT(repid);
rep_status := report_object_status(v_rep);
SYNCHRONIZE;
It is important to understand, however that using SYNCHRONIZE comes at a price. Each time it is executed a network round-trip occurs which will give the application the appearance of degraded performance. So use this built-in only when you know you must. -
Error or termination in target client
Hi All,
We are able to move Transport Request from Development BW Client to Quality BW Client smoothly.
But when we move the same TR to Production client, we are getting the following error log. I would be very grateful if somebody could throw light on why it is happening, what could be its implications and what to do to avoid the same

Error: no acceptable c compiler found in $PATH
Hi,
I am trying to install wy60_2.0.9 on my Ibook G4 10.5.8 so to cut a long story I have downloaded it from this site:
http://www.onlyjoe.net/blog/2012/03/07/mac-wyse-60-terminal-emulation/
But when I have tried to run the ./configure bit I get an error message saying Error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH.
I have done some digging and have installed the developer tools but this does not seem to help.
Can anyone else help?
Thanks,

Sure. click the little camea icon.
I did install the developer tools from the CD. I had to create a folder called Developer before they would install but they look to be in there.
Bad news there. Rename that Developer folder to "oldDeveloper" and then reinstall Xcode. When that is done. delete "oldDeveloper".
Do I need to use the terminal to move to where the xcode files are before running the installation script for the wy60 software? Or does it work across the whole system?
You will need to use the terminal to navigate to where the wy60 software is. There, you type "./configure" and then "make".
Where you go from there is another issue. The software you build on your iBook is not going to be appropriate for your clients. Furthermore, this is "free software" which means you can't just give it away. If you are only free to use it for your own, personal use. If you distribute it, you must follow all of the licensing restrictions. Considering you have a business involving software and clients require this software to connect, you should really consult an intellectual property lawyer before distributing this GPL software. The only safe way to proceed would be to just give your clients a link to the software itself and make them install it on their own systems. If you want to build an installable version for your clients, you could ask the author of the software to host it or fork your own version. But then you get back into the role of "free software distributor". -

Regards,
KishoreHi,
In the HTTP Receiver what is the Addressing Type used ? (URL Address or HTTP Destination).
If its URL Addressing Type, check if right Authentication Type is used with valid values and for HTTP Addressing Type check this HTTP Client Create Error, it could be helpful.
Also check if the Target system can be reached from the XI server to validate the configuration parameters.

When I open up a PDF Document all i get is an error message saying: "There was an error opening this document. The network path was not found" I dont know how to fix this, so looking for some advice please, as I really need o open up my documents.
Thank for any help.The documents I’m trying to read are already saved on my computer, under various different headings, I know that we have a server, so I only assume these documents are saved on here, as I said before I’m not good with all this techno stuff. I do my work each week ( on a payroll system) and save the documents for each company, they automatically go to the correct place. I never request for them to be saved in a certain place ( well not that I’m aware of) . I then on occasions need to open up this information, it is then that I can’t read or open the documents. We do have a tech help, but they are off sick until the 5th Jan, hence me trying to work out if I can fix this problem through this help site. Its ADOBE Reader that I’m trying to use.

Error while creating the HTTP client with destination
Hi ,
I am getting this error while connecting to https location on receiver channel . The below error i am getting in SXMB_moni
Error while creating the HTTP client with destination
The receiver party is doing some security setting on there end and for that purpose we have provided the external IP address to them , after that we are getting the above error.
We have already installed the client certificate on our staging server , and have done the correct setting in SM59 and channel.Check few things..
1) I believe you use specify destination for the addressing type field in the comm channel. If so make sure you entered valid target URL address in the SM59 of type http destination.
2) Check the validitity of the certificate. You can import the certificate both in java and abap stack.
3) Make sure certificate is installed as expected.
4) Send the request and talk to the target system and check what error information they get in their log related to ssl.
