ERROR LOADING bcp -w option generated data files

Hi,
I have to migrate data from SQL Server to Oracle.
The unload_script is this:
bcp "CLEPSIDRA.dbo.InversionesAceptadas" out "[CLEPSIDRA].[dbo].[InversionesAceptadas].dat" -q -c -t "<EOFD>" -r "<EORD>" -Usa -Pas -STIEPO
When I execute the load script, the data is loaded ok.
But I have a field that contains character like á,é,ñ,...so I changed my unload script to:
bcp "CLEPSIDRA.dbo.InversionesAceptadas" out "[CLEPSIDRA].[dbo].[InversionesAceptadas].dat" -q -w -t "<EOFD>" -r "<EORD>" -Usa -Pas -STIEPO
If I execute the new unload_script, the data file generated is ok, with the characters like á,é,ñ...
But when I trying to execute the load script, I have errors like 'field is not a valid number..'...
But if I open the first (-c option generated) data file and replace it's content with the content of the second (-w option generated) data file and save it, the load script works ok!
How can I solve this?
Thanks

Hi user616069,
There is a preference in SQLDeveloper for encoding.
Tools->Preferences->Environment->Encoding
Do you have a reproducible test case you can give us a URL to, including for example a single fictional record?

    Hi,
    Has the file been somehow changed by copying it between windows and unix? Ora file transfer done as binary or ASCII? The most common cause of your problem. Is if the end of line carriage return characters have been changed so they are no longer /n/r could this have happened? Can you open the file in a good editor or do an od command in unix to see what is actually present?

    Hello Kapil,
    You can create a *-DAT file by Exporting a Specification from TR CG02 see

  • SQL Loader: handling difference datatypes in data file and table column

    Hi,
    I am not sure if my question is valid but I am having this doubt.
    I am trying to load data from my data file into a table with just a single column of FLOAT datatype using SQL Loader. But very few insertions take place, leaving a large number of record rejected for the same reason-
    Record 7: Rejected - Error on table T1, column MSISDN.
    ORA-01722: invalid number
    The data in my datafile goes like this: (with a single space before every field)
       233207332711<EOFD><EORD>    233208660745<EOFD><EORD>    233200767380<EOFD><EORD>
    Here I want to know if there is any way to type cast the data read from the data file to suit my table column's datatype.
    How do I handle this? I want to load all the data from my datafile into my table.

    Pl continue the discussion in your original post - Pls help: SQL Loader loads only one record

  • Error REP-52005 while using cgicmd.dat file

    Hi,
    Per Oracle manual I added a simple key to cgicmd.dat
    statement: userid=uid/passwd@db report=stmt2.rdf
    Stopped and Started all 10gAS processes which includes Report service via OEM.
    Then I used the following URL in the browser,
    http:\\bigdaddy\reports\rwservlet?statement, I received the following error:
    REP-52005: The specified key statement does not exist in the key map file.
    Then I used one of the Oracle suppled keys such as oraqa. I received the simnlar message that it could not find key oraqa.
    What I did I need to do to fix this ?
    Thanks.
    Suresh

    Hi all,
    Resolved my own problem. You need to add %* as the last item of your key. From the documentation in cgicmd.dat it is not quite clear what it is supposed to do. So when I changed my key to
    statement: userid=uid/passwd@db report=stmt2.rdf %*
    it worked fine. Also, at least in 10gAS Midtier, you do not need to stop and start OC4J, OC4J_BI_forms or the report server as many have you believe.
    I checked if the key has been parsed by using the showmaps URL and clicking on parsed map file entries to see if the key has everything that I wanted it to have without re-starting anything.

  • Error: Remote host did not accept data file

    Went to tiger 10.4.4 and cannot print. Wireless connection to HP photosmart 1215 via SMC 2804 router was working with Gimp print driver - photosmart 1100 (1215 driver never did work). After months of fooling around after Jaguar to Tiger upgrade and similar printer failure, I was finally able to get this option (hp 1100) to work. Now, another update and no printing AGAIN. G5 iMac, other mac - G4 iMac - doesn't work after update either. What is going on??
    iMac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.4)

    That seems to be an LPD error message, so you could try setting the printer up as either IPP or JetDirect, if the interface supports either one.

  • Error when trying to install the iSCSI target - Cannot find the Windows PowerShell data file 'ImportExportIscsiTargetConfiguration.psd1'

    Hi,
    I'm just attempting to setup an iSCSI target on a freshly installed Windows 2012r2 box, but I get the following error when attempting to Create and iSCSI virtual disk via the wizard after a successful
    installation of the iSCSI target role.
    The full error is:
    Cannot find the Windows PowerShell data file 'ImportExportIscsiTargetConfiguration.psd1' in directory 'C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\Modules\IscsiTarget\en-GB\', or in any parent culture.
    I tried to uninstall, then reinstall the role but no go.
    The Server Locale and UI was all updated to en-GB but this folder does not appear to exist in this location. Rather, the folder I can see is:
    'C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\Modules\IscsiTarget\en-US\'
    I'm going to attempt to copy the 'en-US' folder to 'en-GB' to see what happens, but I would like to know why this has occurred in the first place? Other roles have installed (such as AD DS AD CS and
    IIS) on other machines with no issue.
    Many thanks
    Chris
    Chris

    Hi Chris,
    The error "Cannot find the Windows PowerShell data file 'ImportExportIscsiTargetConfiguration.psd1'" occured, because the file 'ImportExportIscsiTargetConfiguration.psd1' can't be loaded under the folder en-GB with current culture.
    I recommend you can copy this .psd1 file under  'C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\Modules\IscsiTarget'. Essentially if PowerShell can’t find the specified data file for the current culture it will “fallback” to the top-level data
    file in this case.

  • SQL*Loader Sequential Data File Record Processing?

    If I use the conventional path will SQL*Loader process a data file sequentially from top to bottom?  I have a file comprised of header and detail records with no value found in the detail records that can be used to relate to the header records.  The only option is to derive a header value via a sequence (nextval) and then populate the detail records with the same value pulled from the same sequence (currval).  But for this to work SQL*Loader must process the file in the exact same sequence that the data has been written to the data file.  I've read through the 11g Oracle® Database Utilities SQL*Loader sections looking for proof that this is what will happen but haven't found this information and I don't want to assume that SQL*Loader will always process the data file records sequentially.
    Thank you

    Oracle Support responded with the following statement.
    "Yes, SQL*LOADER process data file from top to bottom.

  • PHP generated XML files in Flash

    I want to create a flash based frontend for my image gallery
    system. I need to load in an php generated xml file (something like
    images.php). But Flash seems to load the unparsed xml file
    (webserver with php works fine). Maybe that's just happening in the
    authoring environment. I'm trying to load the xml file with the
    XML-connector. Can someone give me an advice before I do hours of
    trial'n'error business?

    It seems like I don't get my foot into the AS/XML door. My
    XML looks like this:
    <root>
    <image>
    <url>
    <name>
    <etc>
    (Close tags not shown)
    The XML file is valid and works with XML-connector. I try to
    access the XML data with this AS:
    xml_doc = new XML();
    xml_doc.load('flash.xml');
    xml_doc.onLoad = function(success) {
    //trace(this.toString());
    xml_doc.ignoreWhite = true;
    //trace(xml_doc.toString());
    trace(xml_doc);
    var mainnode:XMLNode = xml_doc.firstChild;
    var imagenodes:Array = xml_doc.firstChild.childNodes;
    for (var i:Number = 0; i < imagenodes.length; i++) {
    // for each person node:
    var imagenode:XMLNode = imagenodes
    images.push(
    {i:i+1,
    url:imagenode.childNodes[0].nodeValue,
    imagename:imagenode.childNodes[1].nodeValue
    trace(images);
    I'm not getting any values out (just 'undefined'). There
    seems to be something missing, but I just don't find out what.

  • Increase free space in data files

    Hello All,
    We are running netweaver 04s on sql server. In our EPR landscape, we are having message no free space in file in db02 transaction. It reports error when we execute DB02 and does not allows or shows us the DBCC check options. Strangely, this message appears even if the auto grow option in data files is on.
    Could you please let me know what would be the impact if I increase the datafiles initial size?
    Thanks,
    Gaurav

    Hello Jeff,
    Thanks for the response!
    The odd thing out is that, we do have autogrowth on, and I am sure the data file size is getting increased on all the datafiles, otherwise the database would have struck up but the information that we get on DB02 transaction is wrong or the correct information is not bieng reflected.
    Also, I am not able to run the DBCC checks via dbacockpit!
    Please share your thoughts!

  • How do I send a blank value to a MailMerge data file cell
