Error Log in APEX 4.0.0.2 for Importing of Applications

I am trying to find the error log that will show me errors that happen when trying to import an application. I have seen some errors in the past but think we fixed those. Our change management team thinks they are back but didn't do a screen shot. Isn't there a log for this someplace in APEX?

Check this thread Import unsuccessful in Apex 4
The reason could be because of an invalid target reference in the Dynamic action mentioned in the error message( in the API call at that line number ,use the p_name,p_page_id parameters to identify the Dynamic Action involved)

  • Error ERR-1002 Unable to find item ID for item "" in application "11501"

    Hi All,
I am new to Apex, still a beginner. Please need your help on this.
We recently upgraded to Apex 4.1 from Apex 3.0. The database version is 10.2.0.4.
I am getting this below error.
Error ERR-1002 Unable to find item ID for item "" in application "11501".
Unexpected error, unable to find item name at application or page level.
This error specifically occurs when two sessions are opened from the same browser, and the same page is accessesed. This was not occuring before in 3.0.
    Thanks,
    Sarvesh

    Hi,
i have the exact same problem and situation. (but i dont use Oracle Apps, only APEX).
Migrated from APEX 2.2 to APEX 4.1
Application is (unfortunately) used and opened in Internet Explorer with more than one session/tabs by users.
In APEX2.2 this was working, in APEX4.1 i get the following error:
Error ERR-1002 Unable to find item ID for item "" in application "111".
Unexpected error, unable to find item name at application or page level.

So i thought this is an issue with the authentication scheme (that was migrated, too). I dropped it and recreated it, but same problem.
When i look to the URL after the re-login, it is:
    https://<server>/f?p=111:3:1139701000375375::::,4753713078141275:
The strange thing is the part of ",4753713078141275:"
    What is APEX doing here?
=> i figured out that this is a Page Item ID. I have the hidden item P3_REPORT_TYPE which interal ID is 4753713078141275.
I use the hidden item to conditionally display some regions on the page.
Or is the problem before the comma, the "NULL" value ",47..." ?
Can anyone help me or explain what is the problem here to get a solution?
    Thanks and regards,
    Matthias

  • I contiue to get the error message registry settings used by itunes drivers for importing and burning CD's and DVD's are missing.  Please reinstall itunes.  Reinstalling itunes does not fix the problems

I continue to get the error message registry settings used by itunes drivers for importing and burning CD's and DVD's are missing.  Please reinstall itunes.  Reinstalling itunes does not fix the problems

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

  • Keep getting error message "registry setting used by itunes drivers for importing

Keep getting error message "registry setting used by itunes drivers for importing and burning cds & dvds are missing", this can happen as a result of installing other cd burning software".  The only software on my computer is original cd-dvd on my hp portable with Vista.  My computer now recognized itouch as a camera. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled itunes, nothing changes.

You also can make the whole thing much cleaner with using the way things are phrased in English - you say "one million, one hundred and fifty thousand, two hundred and seventy six pounds, thirty seven pence", so if you write a routine which converts an integer between 0 (inclusive) and 1000 (exclusive), and call that for the millions, thousands, units and cents in turn. You also might want to use localized strings in an array instead of coding everything as a sequence of switch statements.

  • Error message - registry settings used by itunes drivers for importing and burning CD's & DVD's

I receive the following message when opening i tunes:
"The registry settings used by the itunes drivers for importing and burning CD's and DVD's are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall itunes." Then I select the OK option and itunes opens.
I have deleted itunes and then reinstalled and i get the same message.
How can I stop this message  when opening itunes?
    Please advise.

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

  • Errors in error.log – possible fixes?

I have now completed my home server with arch linux, and get everything working like i wanted. :-)
Now i have found some messages within the error log i couldn't find a solution for. It looks like nothing important to me, they sound more like informations than actual errors, but maybe there is some configuration wrong and can be fixed to avoid these messages.
    The first one
SP5100 TCO timer: mmio address 0xb8fe00 already in use
occurs during udev on each boot. (I'm running kernel 3.2.8-1-ARCH)
dhcpcd[553]: eth0: sendmsg: Cannot assign requested address
I configure the network via DHCP, and the router decides the ip according to a mac-address/ip-address-look-up-table. I think dhcpcd tries to decide the ip-address in the first place, and fails until the router sends the correct one.
/usr/sbin/crond[613]: (CRON) INFO (Syslog will be used instead of sendmail.): No such file or directory
This is obviously because I don't have sendmail installed. Can I configure cron to use Syslog instead of sendmail? So it doesn't checks for sendmail everytime it is started.
    Thanks!

    @skanky,
Is it possible that we are using different implementations? That is, I'm using cronie but dcron also provides crond.
    From man crond:
    SYNOPSIS
    crond [-n | -p | -s | -c | -m<mailcommand>]
    crond -x [ext,sch,proc,pars,load,misc,test,bit]
    and:
    OPTIONS
-m This option allows you to specify a shell command to use for sending Cron mail output instead of using
sendmail(8) This command must accept a fully formatted mail message (with headers) on standard input and
send it as a mail message to the recipients specified in the mail headers. Specifying the string off (i.e.
crond -m off) will disable the sending of mail.
-n Tells the daemon to run in the foreground. This can be useful when starting it out of init.
-p Allows Cron to accept any user set crontables.
-c This option enables clustering support, as described below.
-s This option will direct Cron to send the job output to the system log using syslog(3). This is useful if
your system does not have sendmail(8), installed or if mail is disabled.
-x This option allows you to set debug flags.

  • Oracle Error Logs

    Hello,
When application executes SQL or PL/SQL code and error occurs, where can we find these error logs on Oracle database i.e. error log path on Unix.
    Thanks.

Thanks. Most likely there won't be any if your app doesn't provide them. The database alert log only reports system errors. SQL and PL/SQL errors are typically not seen as system errors. And they certainly aren't seen as errors by the OS.
Now, if the error were due to an underlying system error, there would probably be an entry in the alert log (in the bdump directory) and quite possibly a trace file as well.

  • Getting error while importing the application in Oracle Apex

    Hi,
I am facing an issue while importing an application into my new Oracle Apex installation. Installation was successful with out any issue. I exported an application from my old Apex (version 3.0.0.00.20) and importing the same into new apex (version 3.0.1.00.08). I am getting the following error.
    ============================================================
The requested URL /pls/apex/wwv_flow.accept was not found on this server.
    ============================================================
When I click on import in Application Builder page and then browse the required file it gives the progress saying "Importing File" and after some time it displays the above error.
I tried bouncing the application also and there is not error in alert log.
Could any one please suggest, if there is some problem here. Or my approach is not correct.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Advait Deo

Osacar, I recommend that you try to import the application into your workspace on apex.oracle.com and see what happens. Also, refine the problem statement as much as you can, e.g., you get this error importing "the application" or when importing "any" application. How big is the file you're trying to import? Where did it come from? Can you upload images?

  • Where is HTTP access and error log when using Embedded PL/SQL Gateway?

    Hello,
I am using Embedded PL/SQL Gateway to run stored procedures.
I can't find access log and error log (something like Oracle HTTP Server has).
In listener.log are only simple data and there are no usernames and procedure names...
    Thanks.

    What could be problem
also in first error log I found

Please post the details of the application release, database version and OS.
I am getting several of these messages in the Apache error logfile.
File does not exist: $JAVA_TOP (this is actually my physical patch for $JAVA_TOP)Is this the complete error message?
Is it normal to see this messages or some configuration is wrong? If your application is functioning properly with no issues, then you can ignore those errors.
    Thanks,

  • Create Error log table

I am supposed to insert the records that are not uploaded to the main table into a error log table and email the users about the error records that was not inserted into the table. How am is supposed to do it ?
    I have few more questions.
What is the best way to upload the data from a file .
1, I got to either do the batch processing or
2, I got to browse and uplaod the file thru the APEX application and
    and insert the records.
I want to know about which tutorial could be the best to read to do the
about 2 methods and how do i create and insert records into the error log
table and send the user with the CSv or txt file that contains the error records in both the methods ?
Will following the below method be the right way for 2nd method ?

  • IO Error when accessing apex site

    Hello,
I am using Oracle XE in a production environment. I have used the apex site on many occasions. Yesterday it started displaying a "Not Found" error, which eventually turned into an "Internal Server Error".
I dug up the error logs, and found this:
    *** 2010-01-22 08:17:00.708
    *** SERVICE NAME:(SYS$USERS) 2010-01-22 08:17:00.708
    *** SESSION ID:(21.57242) 2010-01-22 08:17:00.708
qmhGetHTTPError: Got unknown oracle error. Error stack is:
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-01115: IO error reading block from file 1 (block # 28006)
    ORA-01110: data file 1: '/usr/lib/oracle/xe/oradata/XE/system.dbf'
    ORA-27091: unable to queue I/O
    ORA-27072: File I/O error
    Additional information: 4
    Additional information: 28005
The database itself is functioning correctly, though I have seen this error pop up from time to time during selects and other misc actions. Though it usually is rare and doesn't persist. I'm worried I have something unhealthy going on with this database, and of course I'd like to be able to access the apex page again.
Any ideas what this error points to?

I ran dbv on the following dbf files. They all seemed fine except for control.dbf.
