Error notice

I've had Time Machine running over a year now with no problems.
Then recently I've had the error window show stating that the"Disk could not be mounted'.
How can I resolve this?

You could try trashing the preference file and then restarting (com.apple.timemachine.plist).
Frankly though, I would probably erase the external HD, format it, and then let TM do a complete new backup. The risk would be if your internal HD failed during that time (small, but anything can happen) you would have no backup.
In my case, I use TM and also make occasional bootable clones of my system using SuperDuper ($28 at www.shirt-pocket.com). In that way, I always have one working backup (unless the external HD fails, of course)

Thanks Jeff, I was not aware that a template could be multi-page. (All the existing templates were 1 page)
But it worked, saving me some steps. When I was finished I renamed the document, and locked it.
Then tried to save it but could not because it was locked. I closed it, went to my Spread Sheet Folder ,
to find it, it was not there. The Finder could not find it either.
So I start over again.
I opened up Numbers and it showed my personal Numbers template folder, it contained both my new
original 4 page template and the vanished saved document!
I tried to delete the template containing these document data and could not - I had to go to the Library/Application Support/Numbers to physically remove it from this folder. Then I started over again. I Finally found out how to make it work: I can now "save as", and then lock, and it will go to place where I want it to be saved and locked.
The secret is: Click on the document title in the menu bar, and it opens up "Save as...", which works the same as in OS 10.4.11, and you can pick the place you want for saving. Once done that, you can then lock the document in the same pull down menu, and then close it.
I also found later that I can delete a template from its folder, by letting Numbers open the templates,
clicking on the one I want to remove, then go to the "Numbers Menu/File/Move to...", select "Desktop"
and from there the selected template can then be thrown into the Trash from there.
It appears now that the real fault of the Numbers software is that the "Save as" command is not available in the "Edit" or "File" pull-down menus, but hidden behind the title of the document.

Anyhow, I would try restoring your iOS since it come shortly after an update and that has been what was reported in the past and the fix for it.

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

Photosmart C7280 All in One error notice saying out of yellow ink when cartridge has been replaced

Hello Forum members...I hope you can help me.
When I try and print something I get an error notice which says that I must replace the yellow ink cartridge and telling me I can print in Black only (which is fine because i usually use the greyscale fast print option anyway). However the worrying thing is that the error notice also says that if I do not replace the yellow cartridge then the printer will cease to work.
I did replace the cartridge quite some time ago. An HP cartridge from HP online. The cartridge is showing full on the bar chart display and yet still the error notice comes up when I try to print.
I hardly use the printer. I am a retired person who may occasionally print out the odd letter or email (I would say on average 2/3 pages per 2/3 weeks.) I very, very occasionally print the odd photo....say twice a year 6 photos.
I got the printer in 2008. This was a replacement FOC for an earlier model of the same type. It was one month out of guarantee when the earlier printer did exactly the same thing. I had just replaced several cartridges (the first replacements). The printer was eventually replaced by the store I had bought it from because they could not repair it. It just stopped functioning. Some computer type glitch
I am now afraid that if I do not act soon then this printer will seize up and be irrepairable.
I do hope some teccy member of the forum will be able to help me.

mine has an error notice that says yellow ink cartridge is empty ( when trying to print something off of the internet) though I have tried 3 new full ones.It also had a message that my printer could print black only. I've been angry for 2 days.
Now, I found out my computer is lying to me! I decided to print a blonde hairstyle I liked off the internet and I hit "black only" since that's my only option. But, it printed in color. I realized I've missed 2 days of being able to print off the internet because my computer or printer was lying.

HT4623 Backed up our iPhone on iTunes, started the update. Got an error notice, were disconnected from server. Phone now has an unchangabel plug in to iTunes screen but cant contact iPhone server. What do we do?

Before starting a new discussion I tried everything of your link, google etc... nothing works for me.
I´m using a pc running windows 8, last version of itunes etc.. tried using different usb ports, uninstalling avast antivirus but nothing works.
Any other suggestion?

Reoccurring error notice

I keep getting multiple error notices which read:
"USB OVER CURRENT NOTICE
A USB device is currently drawing too much power.
The hub to which it is attached will be deactivated."
I have removed each USB connection (one at a time) message still appears.
I have removed all USB connections and the message still appears.
The items I have in USB are: printer, modem, wireless router & my Apple keyboard.

Are you saying you continue to get this, even with no USB devices attached? not even a USB hub?
If that's the case it hints at a faulty motherboard.
You can also use System Profiler to view the connected USB devices, including the power draw for each device. That may help identify the problem.
If you're using a USB hub then make sure it's a powered hub (not an unpowered hub). Powered hubs should be able to provide power to connected devices so that the host computer doesn't have to do so.

Issue solved.
There was a wrong disk name:
primary-vds0 vol1 /dev/dsk/c0t18d0
I changed to c0t18d0s2 and now I sucessfuly installed OS from Jumpstart.

My google mail through FireFox will not open up a link provided by a forum that I contribute to,AOl through FireFox will.The googlemail produces an Internal Serer Error notice.

I am a registered member of a Specialist Car Forum. I subscribed to have E'mail alerts to my google mail account when responses were made to the posts that I provide comment to. During the past week I have been getting the following notice in black font on a plain white background :- Internal Server Error
I suspected a problem with google mail so I forwarded the troublesome E'mail with link attached to my AOL account. I then opened the E'mail,clicked on the link and it activated immediately.
Whilst both are powered through FireFox I was wondering whether there is a FireFox/google mail issue as FireFox/AOL does not have an issue. My ISP is O2.

I have exactly the same issue. After FF upgraded on its own to version 5, it won't open from start menu, taskbar, desktop icon, or even by pressing firefox.exe in program files directory. It does so by pressing a link at msn messenger, inside Outlook etc.
Disabling all addons, didn't help. Moreover, I can't start FF in safe mode or start profile manager (Start > Run> firefox.exe -ProfileManager).

Java script error notice hanging on 1st page

Netbook error notices

I turn the system on and I get the messages:
"Boot device not found"
"Please install an operating system on your hard disk."
"Hard disk (3FO)"
Is my Netbook toast? Can anything be saved?

Those are good to get rid of. Show All isn't normally what's shown, but those errors mean that you have not tested whether or not the variables are set ( php isset - http://php.net/manual/en/function.isset.php ). It's always good when writing scripts to make sure the variables are set before trying to use them in code. Just a simple:
if ( isset( $var ) )
will do the trick.

Windows error notice when trying to open ELEMENTS download in MacBook Pro

I successfully downloaded ELEMENTS 11 onto my Mac desktop, and it works fine. I then attempted downloading onto my MacBook Pro, and it appeared to download all elements of the bundle appropriately. However, when I try to open ELEMENTS, it shows a box (like DOS language) and tells me I can only open it in windows. What do I need to do to correct this?

I attempted downloading my second copy direct from Adobe. It went through
the process of "downloading bundles" etc, took about 30-45 minutes to
complete, then gave me an "Installation Successful" message. However, there
is no Elements application icon on the computer, and I cannot find anywhere
the program downloaded to. There are only two files showing in "Downloads",
and they are PhotoshopElements_11_LS15.exe and .7z, 1.3 MB and 1.06 GB
respectively. Clicking the .exe file brings up a msg saying "this program
must be run under Win32, and the 7z file comes up with the message that
there is no application to open the document. Other than that, there are no
other Photoshop/Adobe application files to be found.
