Error on HTML Parser

Hi,
I'm trying to parse a HTML page but I always get the same error, which is the following exception:
javax.swing.text.ChangedCharSetException
In the class ParserCallback I'm using the method handleError and it shows:
req.att contentmeta?
ioexception???
just before the exception occurs.
The only line where this error occurs in the html page is:
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
and I know that the exact point is the attribute 'content'. If it is removed or changed to 'contenttype' the error desappears.
The problem is that I can't change the attribute because the html page is not mine, it is caught on the Web. And I don't want to remove it.
Anybody knows what is happening?
Thanks!!

i am also having a problem with html parsing in java
i have given a detailed / complete description of the problem on this link along with the log and my sample code ...
http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=643683&tstart=0
if u could see this ...

  • Don't understand error message from HTML parser?

    I've written a simple test program to parse a simple html file.
    Everything works fine accept for the <img src="test.gif"> tag.
    It understands the img tag and the handleSimpleTag gets called.
    I can even pick out the src attribute. But I get a very strange error message.
    When I run the test program below on the test.html file (also below) I get the following output:
    handleError(134) = req.att srcimg?
    What does "req.att srcimg?" mean?!?!?
    /John
    This is my test program:
    import javax.swing.text.html.*;
    import javax.swing.text.*;
    import javax.swing.text.html.parser.*;
    import java.io.*;
    public class htmltest extends HTMLEditorKit.ParserCallback
    public htmltest()
       super();
    public void handleError(String errorMsg, int pos)
       System.err.println("handleError("+pos+") = " + errorMsg);
    static public void main (String[] argv) throws Exception
        Reader reader = new FileReader("test.html");
        new ParserDelegator().parse(reader, new htmltest(), false);
    This is the "test.html" file
    <html>
    <head>
    </head>
    <body>
    This is a plain text.<br>
    This is <b>bold</b> and this is <i>itallic</i>!<br>
    <img src="test.gif">
    "This >is also a plain test text."<br>
    </body>
    </html>
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

    The handleError() method is not well documented any more than whole javax.swing.text.html package and its design structure. You can ignore the behavior of the method if other result of the parser and your HTML file are proper.

  • RE: [iPlanet-JATO] Parse error in JSP parser in IAS6

    Hi Todd,
    removing the defaultValue="" attribute works.
    I have not got around to testing the SP3.
    BTW. The reason the default value tag was added was to stop Null pointer
    exceptions being thrown in the
    HrefTag.beginDisplay().
    buffer.append("?")
    .append(field.getQualifiedName()) // "FooHref"
    .append("=")
    .append(URLEncoder.encode(value.toString())); // "/foo"
    If you don't explicitly add a defaultValue="" to the jsp HREF tag ,
    HrefTag.getDefaultValue() returns null.
    Our hack was to add the following in HrefTag.java.
    if (value==null)
    value=getDefaultValue();
    //===========================
    //IP6 ADDED THE FOLLOWING LINE
    value = (value== null? "":value);
    //============================
    Is that pheasible work-around ? This eliminates the need to add
    defaultValue="" to all HREF tags.
    Also, I might as well point another behavior that we encountered with HREFS.
    In ND, if a HREF's display Field was bound to a column in DataObject and the
    particular record had no value, no URL would be rendered on the page.
    The HTML would look something like this( from memory ):
    <A
    HREF="../AppName/PgMsgMain.hrfSubject_onWebEvent(hrfSubject).994226335140? +
    ND URL STUFF"></A>
    In JATO by default a url get displayed with "null" as the link. ie.
    <a href="../AppName/PgMsgMain?PgMsgMain.hrfSubject= + URL STUFF">null</a>
    Our hack was modify the HrefTag.doEndTag method to not append "null" to the
    buffer.
    if (displayed)
    buffer.append(getBodyContent().getString().equals("null")? "":
    getBodyContent().getString()))
    // IP6 HACK buffer.append(getBodyContent().getString())
    .append("</a>");
    writeOutput(fireEndDisplayEvent(buffer.toString()));
    Is there a better way to do this?
    thanks

    Hey Kostas--
    I personally haven't seen this kind of error. Have you tried simplifying
    the expression inside the href tag? For example:
    <% Object foo =
    viewBean.getRptAssignmentMatch().getvwAssignmentMatchModel().getValue(
    vwAssignmentMatchModel.FIELD_ASSIGNMENT_ASSIGNMENT_ID);
    %>
    <jato:href name="hrefASSIGNMENT_ASSIGNMENT_ID" fireDisplayEvents="true">
    <%= foo %>
    </jato:href>
    Also, is there a different version you could upgrade to? iAS SP3 includes
    the Jasper compiler from Tomcat, which should behave quite differently.

    I have followed the way to add JSF libray,
    1)Right click the projet->project properties->javadoc->JSP taglibraries
    2)Inside the Distributed Library i have selected the JSTL core 1.2 and click on add.
    3) Then a new dialogue box of Choose tablibraries came.inside that only struts bean,struts Html etc are seeing.
    What i need to select?..Do i am following the right way?

    @Bhaskar (and @user11922800): You have to update the db10g/xdk to a version at least of 10.1.0.4. There were major bug fixes including XML-32009 error (bug number 3375952).
    http://www.eygle.com/case/bug10104.htm
    I've even tried the op's listing with my more to-date xdk without encountering any problem and it is compiled just fine.
    ps: I am sure that was the hasty typo in dvohra16 post. The namespace in the op (/2001/) is correct. Encoding is still capable of resulting in some problems (I've had encounted if I recall), but that is not the problem for the issue raised in this thread.

  • Error: Failed to parse path in URl (Cisco UCS 6100 Series Fabric Interconnect)

    I have to shut down parts of my network due to an electrical outage this weekend. I have a Cisco UCS 6100 Server Fabric Interconnect. I am trying to backup the configuration. This is the command I am using create backup tftp://*.24.1.88 full-state enabled.  The error I receive is Error: failed to parse URI.  Which I believe URI means URL.

    Hi Parakiteiz,
    Looks like the format is incorrect and you have an extra 't' on the tftp command you provided.  Please take a look at the link below for configuration assistance.

  • Error when starting parser: timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL:'TfSAPCMRC'

    Hello experts.
    When I try to preview or refresh a Crystal Report document built on a BEx query I get the following error msg:
    Database connector error: BAPI Error #0. Error when starting parser: timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'TfSAPCMRCV'.
    We have done as suggested in "SAP Note 1032461 - MDX parser does not start", but without success.
    This is what we've tried so far:
    replaced the file "librfc32.dll" (in C:\Windows\System32 and C:\Windows\SysWOW64)  with the new version mentioned in Note 413708.
    tested the connection in SM59 - non successful
    tested the report query with transaction MDXTEST - non successful
    tried to start the mdxparser manually on server - non succesful, error msg: "The application failed to initialise.."
    We have the following config:
    MS server 2003 SP2 x64 ed.
    SAP logon 7.20
    MS SQL server 2005
    CR 2008
    new librfc32.dll version 7200.1.39.6461
    Any ideas on what to try next would be highly appreciated!
    Cheers, IngA

    Hi Ingo.
    We have only one application server.
    I registered the new version of the file C:\windows\SysWOW64\librfc32.dll with regsvr32.exe successfully. I've also tried to copy the new file to the same directory as the mdxsvr.exe-file is located, but it made no difference.
    Should I remove all other copies of librfc32.dll and only keep the one in folder C:\Windows\SysWOW64, or maybe register them all with regsvr32.exe?

    I keep getting this error in Dreamweaver when I am trying to upload my website?  Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?  here is the error message: /html - error occurred - Unable to create remote folder /html.  Access denied.  The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem.   Make sure you have proper authorization on the server and the server is properly configured.  File activity incomplete. 1 file(s) or folder(s) were not completed.  Files with errors: 1 /html

    Nobody can tell you anything without knowing exact site and server specs, but I would suspect that naming the folder "html" wasn't the brightest of ideas, since that's usually a default (invisible) folder name existing somewhere on the server and the user not having privileges to overwrite it.

  • HTTP Status Code 200 Received But Error During Response Parsing

    Hi Experts,
    We are testing a simple Proxy(ECC) to File scenario in QA. This interface was working fine in Dev but we are getting the following error here in QA:

    the problem was due to high volume message (247 MB ) ...Java stack was not able to process this huge message ,that is the reason ,it started automatically  and as a result  , "HTTP Status Code 200 Received But Error During Response Parsing" due to unavailability of AFW during Call adapter step in the pipeline processing...
    We have done the following activities in order to solve this problem....
    increase the value of  icm/HTTP/max_request_size_KB to 512MB
                                        icm/wp_roll_timeout   to maximum
                                        HTTP TIMEOUT to 1800 sec
                                       icm/wp_roll_timeout   to maximum
                                         mpi/total_size_MB  to maximum
                                       mpi/buffer_size  to maximum
    and then increased the maxthreadcount ,maxcontentlength using config tool...
    and also increased the java heap size to maximum....
    After doing everything ,the file has been successfully processed....
    the problem has been resolved...
