applications
[oracle@as10g bin]$ ./rwserver.sh server=as batch=yes

Hello,
Yes, these lines are related to the ftp destination :
http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_17/bi.1012/b14048/pbr_dest.htm#i1005607
Of course, a ftp server must run on the machine where you want to "send" the reports output...

  • Deploying Forms 10g in Application Server 10g

    Hello Everyone,
    I have downloaded the Forms 10g demo's from "http://www.oracle.com/technology/sample_code/products/forms/index.html."
I want to deploy these forms in Oracle Application Server 10g.
Can anyone please send the steps on how to do the same.
The above URL gives steps for deploying iDS10g only.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Rakesh

    Hi Tony,
Sorry for late reply. I got stuck into something..
I tried the steps mentioned in the Forms10g Demo Install Guide.
I did the following configurations from the "InstallGuide" document.
    3 Modify the OC4J Configuration
    3a Modify orion-web.xml
    3b Modify web.xml
    3c Verify the changes
So when i the run the following URL
    http://<host>:<port>/forms/formsdemo/images/tick.gif
I get "Page cannot be found". I did look into the Forms Services Deployment Guide on how to deploy images when running forms on the web. But no luck.
I still haven't run the Database scripts. I am just testing if i can get the image displayed.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Rakesh

  • Problems compiling and running 9i forms on 10g Linux app server

    Hi all,
we are about to move our 9i developed forms application from W2k 9ias RL2 to a 10g linux application server. It seems that we are having very much trouble with the fact that file names are case-sensitive under linux. Our forms are designer-generated and afterwards modified using forms developer under win2k. Therefore these forms have designer plls attached (OFG*.pll). In addition, we use a few custom plls and an object library (*.olb). We managed to compile our fmbs to fmx using f90genm.sh on linux, but getting FRM-40735 and ORA-06508 errors at runtime. FORMS90_PATH in default.env is correct.
We took one fmb to narrow things down. Steps we took on development machine:
    - Rename all plls to a format of uppercase name and lowercase extension (e.g. OFGBSL.pll)
    - Reattach plls to the form
    After that
    - Move fmb and plls to linux machine
    - compile the fmb without errors
At runtime, we get a ORA-06508 in a trigger that calls CGFK$LKUP_QRY.EXTEND_WHERE. This procedure is located in OFGTEL.pll. OFGTEL.pll has OFGMES.pll attached. We tried to compile OFGTEL.pll, but getting errors due to the fact that table CG_REF_CODES is not present in our db (we don't use it).
Other plls like OFGBSL.pll and our custom pll work well (proved by debugging).
Can anybody give us some hints or step-by-step instructions on how to move our application to linux, especially how to make OFGTEL.pll usable?
    Thanks in advance
    Gerald Krieger

Here is a part of code from OFGTEL.pll
IF (curr_value IS NOT NULL) THEN
    SELECT decode(RV_HIGH_VALUE, NULL, RV_LOW_VALUE, curr_value)
    , RV_MEANING
    INTO new_value
    , P_MEANING
    FROM CG_REF_CODES
WHERE ( (RV_HIGH_VALUE IS NULL AND
/* this will compare them as chars, as the */
/* abbreviation will most often be a char */
    curr_value IN (RV_LOW_VALUE, RV_ABBREVIATION)) OR
    (to_number(curr_value) BETWEEN
    to_number(RV_LOW_VALUE) AND to_number(RV_HIGH_VALUE))
    AND ROWNUM = 1
i think the unix .pll and Win .pll are not the same

    Hi,
looks like the database connection could not be established. The document contains a step-by-step description of how to ensure that the connect is working after deploying the BC as EJB. You can configure the BC tester to work with the EJB deployment to see if the model works.

    Hi All,
I am using Virtual box to connect to Sharepoint 2013 VPC. Due to an unexpected sutdown of my machine the VPC got some issue. Now I restored it using my bak up file. But after this when I deploy my sharepoint 2013 farm solution Iam getting the following error.

Editing the web.config and adding dependentAssembly didnt worked for me.
What could be the issue? Any suggestions ?
    Thanks in advance...

    Hi,
Please try to do as follows:
    1. Check your farm solution whether reference the Microsoft.SharePoint.dll. Or try to add the Microsoft.SharePoint.dll into the bin folder.
    2. Execute the iisreset command.
    3. Create a new farm solution and check whether the issue still occurs or not.

  • Error occurred in deployment step 'Recycle IIS Application Pool'

Currently i’m working on a development machine for SharePoint 2010. Even the development machine is setup with multiple accounts as security describes. Therefore sometimes you run into strange (security) error messages. The following error message
occured when i tried to deploy a SharePoint project from Visual Studio 2010.
Error occurred in deployment step ‘Recycle IIS Application Pool’:
    <nativehr>0×80070005</nativehr><nativestack></nativestack>Access denied
It seems that the account under which your Visual Studio 2010 is running needs to have sufficient rights on the web application to which you are deploying your solution. In my case this was easily fixed by putting my domain account in the site collection
administrators list for that specific web application.

    Hi vishal,
The root cause of the issue is
You don't have IIS restart privilege on windows OS
Even if you have it, you have not added your login account in to SharePoint sitecollection administrator.
    To solve the issue
To see whether you have privilege or not, you can open a command prompt and type "IISReset".
If you able to restart, then it will restart successfully otherwise it will deny it.  The reason is, Though you are in administrators group, windows 2008 will not run on the administrator privilege. Every time when you do an operation like IIS
restart or Installation, it will prompt for UAC (User Account Control). You should accept the dialog box and elevate the privilege to run the operation.
Or you can right click the application whatever you want to run and click the menu option "Run as Administrator" which will solve the issue.
If you want to avoid UAC and directly run through you admin account then, go to Control panel -> Manage account -> Hide UAC
Second if you have all the privilege and still you are getting error in VS2010 as "'Recycle IIS Application Pool':0x80070005Access denied, then you have to add your account in to site collection admin.
    1) You can do this by going to sharepoint administration page.
    2) Navigate to the site collection administration option
    3) Add your name into site collection administrator as a second owner. SharePoint will allow a second owner for site colleciton

  • Deploying forms to the Application Server

We are about to use SCM to store our forms and reports.
We also run application server AS10g.
    My question is:
Is it possible to deploy forms through scm to the application server with out using the file system?

    i've done this with :
    f90genm.sh module=myform.fmb userid=username/passwd@tns_connect_string;
if you know some unix commands you can make a script to compile all fmb's modified in the last DAY/HOUR/MINUTE!!!! i can say that im not a bash expert :)))
you may take attention that working with Forms IDE under windows will make that specific language CHARS like portuguese G or C or I, or spanish Q, and russian chars for instance... will be showed has ? after compiled in Linux/Unix plataform! For instance BRAGANGA would be wrote as BRAGAN?A!

  • Read_image_file command does works on Linux application server

    Hello!
I have a form with a new_form_instance Trigger I wrote the read_image_file trigger to read a GIF file in an image item.It works fine on windows XP(development machine).I copied the GIF file to the same location where my fmx files are there in Linux application server.I copied and compilied my fmb file in linux application server. No compilation error is there. But when I run form from Linux the form hangs and my read_image_file command is at new form instance Trigger.I have checked the case sensitivity of the file and the permission etc in Linux. In windows Development machine the form runs successfully. What could be the problem. Please help.......
    Jayashree

    For me, attempting the following:
      READ_IMAGE_FILE('bullet_ball_glass_blue.gif', 'GIF', 'IMAGE7');
    gives this error:
FRM-47109: Cannot locate image file bullet_ball_glass_blue.gif
    Changing my command to:
      READ_IMAGE_FILE('bullet_ball_glass_blue.gif', 'URL', 'IMAGE7');
    loads the image successfully.
If you truly are not getting an error message (mine appears in the status bar), then perhaps the file is being found, but the image format is not recognized or otherwise incompatible. Test this by loading one of the the images that load successfully into your iconic buttons. If that image loads successfully into your image item, fix the problem GIF image. (Recreate or open & resave with a graphics program, etc.)
If this does not appear to be the problem, the only things I can think of are for you to confirm that, in formsweb.cfg:
      1. The archive_jini entry includes your image JAR
      2. If imageBase=DocumentBase, change to imageBase=codebase
The second change may temporarily break your iconic buttons. This can be fixed by updating the buttons' Iconic Filename properties specifying only relative paths found within the JAR. Since my image is stored in the root of my JAR, no path need be specified. Had I placed my image in a subdirectory within my JAR, named images, my call would have to be changed to the following:
      READ_IMAGE_FILE('images/bullet_ball_glass_blue.gif', 'URL', 'IMAGE7');
I'm not sure whether any of these suggestions will help, but since I had no problems, I suspect it's simply a matter of differing configurations. The two items that I listed are the only two likely differences I could think of.

+3. E:\BIDEP\res\s_oracle10\images+ (E:\BIDEP\ is the folder where we deployed obiee.)
Now we are unble to view the images in dashoard.
Please let us kow how to do this.
    Thanks.

    Hi MK,
    Thanks. It worked.
One clarification. for OC4j Server I placed images in below:
    1. E:\OracleBI\web\app\res\s_oracle10\images
    2. E:\OracleBI\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\applications\analytics\analytics\res\s_oracle10\images
For WLServer is it enough to place the images in below places:
    1.E:\BIDEP\res\s_oracle10\images
    2.E:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\base_domain\servers\BI2\stage\BIDEP\BIDEP\res
or I also need to place the images in below place also.
    1. E:\OracleBI\web\app\res\s_oracle10\images
    In simple, at two places
    1.E:\BIDEP\res\s_oracle10\images
    2.E:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\base_domain\servers\BI2\stage\BIDEP\BIDEP\res
    or at 3 places
    1.E:\BIDEP\res\s_oracle10\images
    2.E:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\base_domain\servers\BI2\stage\BIDEP\BIDEP\res
    3.E:\OracleBI\web\app\res\s_oracle10\images
    Thanks.

It looks like you may have extracted the files to C:\sp2013. Can you try installing from a mounted ISO instead? Can you also validate that this is Server 2012 and not 2012 R2?

  • (266758030) Can WebLogic Workshop Web Services be deployed on a different Application Server?

(266758030) Q(asked by Lalit Sudan): Can WebLogic Workshop Web Services be deployed
    on a different Application Server?
A(by Adam Fitzgerald): .jws files are not yet an accepted standard so you can expect
that the WebLogic Workshop Web Services cannot be ported to other Application Servers,
however, it is a general goal to expand the functionality of the Workshop tool for
    other App Servers.

Just so you'll know Oracle9iAS also includes apache as the HTTP server.
As Suncan said, if you want to use Forms on the Web you need the Forms Server engine, and it comes bundled in Oracle9iAS. You'll save yourself a lot of headache if you just install Oracle9iAS and have everything pre-configured for you thus reducing maintanance costs.
