Error on Two DML process in a single page by condition

Hi all,
I have a page where i have two forms region on table and two DML processes,
i want to execute these two DML process one by one conditionally, such as initially when page load the second DML process will not execute after page submit, the first DML process will execute and successfully inserted table data then the second DML process will execute.
I have tried to do it by conditionally executing the them one after one by button pressed but failed to do so, when i submit the page its executing two DML process though i have make the second one to execute conditionally.
Any help is highly appreciate.

Hi,
Can you please replicate the same in apex.oracle.com for more clarity?

  • Running on load two fetch processes on the same page

    I have two separate regions on one page build on two tables which have a one to one relationship. I want to to query both regions at the same time when the page loads using the automatic fetch process. If I try to run both I get "NO DATA FOUND" error. If I run each one separately (by setting a never condition on the other process) then each region returns data without problems. Is this a limitation of APEX that you can only have one on-load fetch process per page?
    Paul P

    Hello Paul,
    >> Is this a limitation of APEX that you can only have one on-load fetch process per page?
    Ultimately, yes.
    The ‘no data found’ error you see is not related to your data table but to an internal APEX package array that the ARF process uses. As you are using more than one ARF process on the same page, they both use the same database session, and that means that the packaged array is not clear between calls, and in certain situations that can lead to the error message you see. In any case, if an error message is not display, the populated items will only be from the last call to the ARF process.
    As I see it, you have two options. One is to populate the form items manually. The second is to create a view on the two relevant tables, and build your form on the view (with the appropriate Instead Of triggers, if necessary).

    Arie.

  • Two SAPScript forms on a single page

    Hello
    Is there a way (in SAPScript) to have two forms (sapscript forms defined in SE71) printed in a single page ?
    What I would like to achieve is to have several sapscript forms defined in the system and to be able to combine them in a single page dynamicallly - I mean: the printing program would decide which of them should be output.
    I have one sapscript form which I want to output always - it contains some header and main window with some items. Apart from this form I need to print some additional information on the same page.
    This additional information may be formated in a few different ways - depending on the case. I need to include this info at the top of the page - formatted in one of possible ways mentioned. The rest of the page is always the same (some header and main window with items).
    I know I could just use windows definitions in a single sapsript form and let the printing program decide which of those windows to print. But my problem is: I would like to have different sizes of the information printed at the top of the pages - when I define a window I must declare height which will be occupied on the page - I'd like to have different height values for different cases.
    Is there a way to achieve that ?
    thanks in advance
    regards

    Hi,
    It is not possible.
    But instead of creating sapscript, why dont you create different standard text and call in same sap-script based on condition.
    You can create standard text in tcode so10. Its similar to editor in sap-script.

  • Combining Contents of 2 PDFs into a single page PDF

    I need to combine elements of two different PDFs into one, single page PDF.
    One PDF is Template of sorts with headers to be edited, the other PDF is a non-ocr scan that includes text and images.
    I've found no way to copy and paste on a single page b.t two PDFs. I've tried pasting into an inserted page and then dragging it up or cutting and pasting within the document (with the intention of deleting the unneeded second page) with no luck.
    This seems like it should be such a no brainer. Open 1st PDF, Open 2nd PDF, make selection Ctrl C, go to 1st PDF, place cursor where desired, Ctrl V.   But it doesn't work at all in an intuitive way like any other document program where you can cut and paste with ease b/t documents and even b/t programs.
    So instead, I've copied the part of the image PDF I want into the original word doc of the template, then created a PDF from that.  However, when I try to tell Acrobat to make the entire document OCR, it tells me it can’t b/c it contains renderable text (the header information, I’m assuming).  If I run the OCR on a PDF containing just the image, it does it no problem.
    What is the best way to bring these two documents together in way that results in a single page, completely searchable PDF?

    Unfortunately, another $700 software purchase is not in the cards and I can’t wrap my mind around why it should be necessary.  It seems so nonsensical to me that Acrobat has all these advanced functions for editing, combining, making portfolios etc., yet can not perform the simple task of cutting and pasting between two documents.
    While Adobe support was putting me on hold, I doodled up some generic sample documents that I could upload here to illustrate the problem. Hopefully, someone can play with these and give me a workable solution.
    The first PDF, Original Acme Clip, represents the file that is provided to me by our clipping service. They cut the item out of a magazine, put the customized info into their standard template in whatever word processing program they use, printed it out, pasted the magazine clip to that page and then scanned the hard copy to PDF-as an image only PDF, it is not optimized for optical character recognition and is not searchable.
    The second PDF, Final Acme PDF, represents the file that our workflow eventually ends up as-a PDF containing only the info we want, formatted as we want, in which both the headers and clip content are searchable. To get there currently, we print out the Original ACME Clip, type the relevant info into the headers of a Word template that includes our logo and standard footer, print out the Word template page, manually cut out the scanned image from the PDF, and paste it onto the template paper.  The resulting paper is scanned into the Final Acme PDF and OCR is run on the whole thing to make it all searchable.
    What we’d like to do is skip all the printing, and manual cutting and pasting. Any and all suggestions for work in Acrobat 9 Pro to do this would be gratefully appreciated!

  • Can I have more than one section on a single page?

    I opened an old AppleWorks file which has 7 thin columns in two sections, all on a single page. Pages turned it into a two page document. Is there a way to merge the two pages into a single page with two sections?
    Thanks in advance!

    I am facing the same problem. Word had an easy way to have two sections on one page. I can't see that it is a problem. However, my problem was I wanted two sections on the same page. It appears that Pages handles this differently. It is called a layout break. Same drop down menu. I wanted to change from one to two columns and back on the same page. Hope this helps in your situation.

  • DML Process Row Error

    I have a data-entry page that I created using the Page with Form component wizard. It is suddenly not working. As far as I can tell is that it started after I changed the process Success message in the 'Process Row of ...' process that was automatically created when I created the page. I have duplicated the error on another page by changing the process Success message and saving.
    The table is in a schema outside of the HTMLDB schema. When I created the page I chose the schema name and table. However when I look at the process, it is showing a different schema for the owner. When I look at the debug statements, the page is erroring out after
    0.10: ...DML_PROCESS_ROW (AFTER_SUBMIT) #OWNER#:TPM_PROJECTS:P30_PROJECT_ID:PROJECT_ID|IU
    before the error started, it was processing this as:
    0.10: ...DML_PROCESS_ROW (AFTER_SUBMIT)
    XXTPM:TPM_PROJECTS:P30_PROJECT_ID:PROJECT_ID|IU
    In the Owner drop-down for this process, it only shows MARVEL schema so I cannot change it to my schema. Is there any way to fix the error? For the time, I'm going to make my own process, but I wondered if this was the correct behavior....
    I'm in 1.6 and the error I receive after making the Success message change to the process is:
    ORA-20001: Error in DML: p_rowid=17, p_alt_rowid=PROJECT_ID, p_rowid2=, p_alt_rowid2=. ORA-06550: line 1, column 17: PL/SQL: ORA-00936: missing expression ORA-06550: line 1, column 9: PL/SQL: SQL Statement ignored
    Thanks, Janel

    Janel,
    Sounds like you have a schema named MARVEL that you are using as your application's parsing schema but your app also references objects in other schemas. Note that MARVEL is not the HTML DB schema, it's all yours. In 1.6.1, we fixed some problems related to the symptoms you described. I suggest that you apply that patch and recreate any processes that reference objects outside the application's parsing schema.

  • Error updating two reports on same page! Could you have a look please?

    Hey guys!
    I have the following situation :
    two updateable reports on one page with IDs 'DATE_REPORT' and 'WORK_REPORT'
    two pl/sql processes on submit after c.... named 'SUBMIT_DATE' and 'SUBMIT_WORK'
    two buttons named 'SAVE_DATE' and 'SAVE_WORK'
    Finally, the insert and update processes are conditioned to Request = Expression 1 where for the 'DATE_REPORT' it is set to 'SAVE_DATE' and for the 'WORK_REPORT' it is logically set to 'SAVE_WORK'. There are no extra button conditions.
    My problem: No matter which button I press, the array is build up from the columns of the first report and continues to add rows of the second report.
    For instance: 'DATE_REPORT' has 11 rows and 'WORK_REPORT' has 9 rows. In the debug mode I can see that the array is build up using the 'DATE_REPORT' although 'SAVE_WORK' was accepted as the request. The same problem vice versa for the other update.

    Hi Peter! Thanks for your answer. Well, this is what I already assumed! Two updateable reports with different data sources on one page will not work taht easily.
    Both reports have different amounts of columns in my case! I might create some pseudocolumns in the first report to match the columns in the second one. Hence I could try to build up the array like that.
    However, I believe it will not work as I can't use the primary key for the insert procedure in my second report. This is due to the design of the report.
    My initial idea was to somehow deactivate my report regions before running the update resp. insert procedure.
    I thought of using the htp.p statement with 'hideShow(''DATE_REPORT'')' and 'hideShow(''WORK_REPORT'')' to deactivate the regions and run the dml processes afterwards. Of course hiding the regions depending on the requested dml process. My question is if it will actually work like that. My try to hide the regions failed. The DATE_REPORT was indeed hidden but the update was still unsuccessful. I believe hiding the region is not sufficient.
    Do you have a hint how I can completely disable or deactivate the reports using javascript from pl/sql?
    Many thanks and have a splendid sunday!

    Sebastian

  • Oracle 8i database: FATAL ERROR IN TWO-TASK SERVER

    Hi,
    We've been using Portal 3.0.7.6.2 since it was available. We've just upgraded to Oracle Database 8.1.6.3 (to resolve Apache GPF crashing problems) and have now noticed that our database server process terminates with a fatal error when we try to administer users, though in particular, adding users to existing groups. Error message as follows:
    *** SESSION ID:(8.8) 2001-01-16 16:43:16.140
    FATAL ERROR IN TWO-TASK SERVER: error = 12571

    The only way to recover is to terminate the instance's service and restart. This happens every time we add more than 2 users to a group.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,
    Alexander.

    Stew, a bulk bind from an OCI client looks as follows:
    OCIStmtPrepare()
    OCIBindByName()/OCIBindByPos() (binding a host array)
    while some-condition loop
      fill host array
      OCIStmtExecute()  (specify the number of elements in array via the iters param)
    end loopThe statement is executed once for each array element - according to the OCI guide. So in the case of sending a 100 elements, the statement will be executed (iterated) by Oracle, a 100 times. It however is not exactly clear on how the server-side deals with this execution.
    The issue you raised with cursor execution counts, seems to be whether the statement is single statement, or single statement with nested statements.
    I have written an OCI client doing the exact same tests as were done in PL/SQL using FORALL in this thread.
    If the SQL statement executed is SQL, the cursor that is created is executed only "once" (not exactly true as multiple rows are inserted using a single row DML).
    If the statement is PL/SQL, the cursor that is created, is executed "once". So pretty much the same behaviour. However, as this statement contains "nested" SQLs (the actual DML statements), these also need to be parsed and executed as cursors. In which case you see these as being executed a 100 times (once per element in for the bind array).
    The issue is whether or not the FORALL DML statement is executed once (as it would appear from the executions column), or not?
    It would seem that there is some funky happening (some kind of call optimisation perhaps?) when Oracle deals with an array bind - as the cursor seems to be executed once. But that in fact is not the case as that cursor only inserts a single row. And multiple rows are inserted.
    E.g. simplistic example to see how many times the FORALL DML statement is executed:
    SQL> create sequence emp_id_seq
      2          start with 1
      3          increment by 1
      4          nocycle
      5          nomaxvalue;
    Sequence created.
    SQL> --// add a PL/SQL user function wrapper for the sequence
    SQL> create or replace function GetNextEmpID return number is
      2          id      number;
      3  begin
      4          select emp_id_seq.NextVal into id from dual;  --// explicit SQL statement
      5          return( id );
      6  end;
      7  /
    Function created.
    SQL>
    SQL> declare
      2          cursor c is
      3          select empno, ename, job from emp;
      4
      5          type TBuffer is table of c%RowType;
      6          buffer  TBuffer;
      7  begin
      8          open c;
      9          loop
    10                  fetch c bulk collect into buffer limit 100;
    11
    12                  forall i in 1..buffer.Count
    13                          insert into tab1 values( GetNextEmpID(), buffer(i).ename );
    14                  exit when c%NotFound;
    15          end loop;
    16          close c;
    17  end;
    18  /
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL>
    SQL> select
      2          executions,
      3          sql_text
      4  from       v$sql
      5  where      sql_text like 'INSERT INTO TAB1%'
      6  or sql_text like 'SELECT EMP_ID_SEQ%';
    EXECUTIONS SQL_TEXT
            14 SELECT EMP_ID_SEQ.NEXTVAL FROM DUAL
             1 INSERT INTO TAB1 VALUES( GETNEXTEMPID(), :B1So the insert seems to have been executed once. However, the wrapper was called 14 times and its SQL statement was called 14 times. Once per bind array value.
    So there do seem to be some kind of optimisation on the Oracle side - however, it does not mean that the FORALL statement is not using bulk/array binding. It is. And that is what the FORALL statement is designed to do.

  • Error in executing a process for Flex compilation ....exceeds 32K...

    Hi,
    deployin my model i get the following error-message.
    "Error in executing a process for Flex compilation, Error: Branch between 64935 and 97770 around line 0 exceeds 32K span. If possible, please refactor this component.
    Error: Branch between 64935 and 97770 around line 0 exceeds 32K span."
    Do i delete a sort-element from my model it is deployed very well. So what does this message exactly mean and how can I locate where the error occurs and how can i fix that problem because i need this sort-element to be in my model.
    Thanks for your help!
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,
    You are receiving this error due to a current limitation in the Flex server. How you can fix this is to split the iView you are currently working on into two iViews, and embed one within the other. This will decrease the size of the current iView you are receiving the error for and eliminate this problem.
    Hope this helps
    Cheers,
    Scott

  • SAP MII 14.0 SP5 Patch 11 - Error has occurred while processing data stream Dynamic Query role is not assigned to the Data Server

    Hello All,
    We are using a two tier architecture.
    Our Corp server calls the refinery server.
    Our CORP MII server uses user id abc_user to connect to the refinery data server.
    The user id abc_user has the SAP_xMII_Dynamic_Query role.
    The data server also has the checkbox for allow dynamic query enabled.
    But we are still getting the following error
    Error has occurred while processing data stream
    Dynamic Query role is not assigned to the Data Server; Use query template
    Once we add the SAP_xMII_Dynamic_Query role to the data server everything works fine. Is this feature by design ?
    Thanks,
    Kiran

    Thanks Anushree !!
    I thought that just adding the role to the user and enabling the dynamic query checkbox on the data server should work.
    But we even needed to add the role to the data server.
    Thanks,
    Kiran
