Hello,
I am getting error ABAP XML formatting error in XML node of type "element", name: "abap" using my XSLT program.

REPLACE ALL OCCURRENCES OF
'<' IN wf_string1 WITH '<' .
REPLACE ALL OCCURRENCES OF
'>' IN wf_string1 WITH '>' .
REPLACE ALL OCCURRENCES OF
'"' IN wf_string1 WITH '"'
I would like to display the result starting from <BODY> as table as shown below.
SequenceNo 1234567890
InquiryFactory ABC

and so on.
I am using the the same ABAP/XSLT program following example /people/durairaj.athavanraja/blog/2004/09/20/consuming-web-service-from-abap
Please let me know what I did wrong.

I have no idea why this is showing like this, but please bear with me. I tried every way I can to make my reply readable but the text editor is keeping on doing this. So here it goes.
Hi Sandeep,
I tried to debug the CALL transformation. I am getting CX_XSLT_FORMAT_ERROR and when I run the whole program this is the error message "ABAP XML formatting error in XML node of type "element", name: "abap"
Here is my XLST program for the response above.

Xsl/stylesheet transformation problem in soap response(usinf xmlx-tags.tld)
Hi,
I have problem in transforming the soap response using xmlx-tags.tld.....
I was not able to read the <EmpName> value from the returned xml...

here is my soap call and stylesheet in JSP:

<EmpName>string</EmpName>
<SalAmount>decimal</SalAmount>
<Error>boolean</Error>
</GetEmpResult>
</GetEmpResponse>
</soap:Body>
</soap:Envelope>
I tried all the possibilities of template matches, but not succeeded....
Can somebody help me the correct <xsl:template> to access EmpName from the above
SOAP responses...

VijayHi,
Dynamic xslt are not quite supported in OSB, there are some approaches that may be helpful for your case though...
Have a look at these...

SAAJ0537: Invalid Content-Type. Could be an error message instead of a SOAP
Hi,
At present i am using JCAPS version 5.1.1
com.sun.xml.messaging.saaj.SOAPExceptionImpl: Invalid Content-
Type:text/html. Is this an error message instead of a SOAP response?
I got above error message while invoking the webservice.
My intention is to get HttpRequest from user and based on the input from user, a web service should be invoked. For this i am using BusinessProcess[einsight]
In my BusinessProcess, i have HttpServer processRequest service,
to receive HTTP requests and then i am passing the value of parameter received from http[As String] to next partner which is responsible for invoking a webservice.[Used a wsdl in client mode]
I am able to get http request successfully , but i got error while invoking web service.
Please let me know, what to do for rectifying error.Although this is an aged topic, this is plaguing our development efforts currently. I have successfully created a webservice that can be executed externally using the generated wsdl but I am unable to get a JCD to execute the WS without getting the following error:

Is anybody else having this same error and how was it resolved? Both my client and server settings seems to be in sync. My only iffy piece is the servlet context. For both client and server external components, host, port, servlet context match. What am I missing?? -

It seems that you are trying to call an updatePerson operation through the WSDL and the call is failing at this stage.
Can you check if the request send by PI is correct in structure and that the WSDL is not facing any issue (check with the end system developer). -
SOAP Response From ASP Page gives Exceptions-Why ?
Hi Friends,
I am trying to call an ASP Page by sending it a SOAP Request.
The SOAP Request reaches the ASP Page but still i am getting lot of
exceptions.This is my code from Request.java
import javax.xml.soap.*;
import java.util.*;
import java.net.URL;
public class Request {
public static void main(String[] args) {
try {
SOAPConnectionFactory scFactory =
SOAPConnectionFactory.newInstance();
SOAPConnection con = scFactory.createConnection();
MessageFactory factory =
MessageFactory.newInstance();
SOAPMessage message = factory.createMessage();
SOAPPart soapPart = message.getSOAPPart();
SOAPEnvelope envelope = soapPart.getEnvelope();
SOAPHeader header = envelope.getHeader();
SOAPBody body = envelope.getBody();
header.detachNode();
Name bodyName = envelope.createName(
"TestDtls", "m",
"urn:myserver/soap:TestThis");
SOAPBodyElement gltp =
body.addBodyElement(bodyName);
Name name = envelope.createName("PhoneOrigin");
SOAPElement symbol = gltp.addChildElement(name);
symbol.addTextNode("0672324228");
URL endpoint = new URL
("http://john/myservices/testsoap.asp");
message.writeTo(System.out);
SOAPMessage response = con.call(message, endpoint);
response.writeTo(System.out);
SOAPPart sp = response.getSOAPPart();
SOAPEnvelope se = sp.getEnvelope();
SOAPBody sb = se.getBody();
Iterator it = sb.getChildElements(bodyName);
SOAPBodyElement bodyElement =
(SOAPBodyElement)it.next();
String myvalue = bodyElement.getValue();
System.out.print("The Value Retrived is ");
System.out.println(myvalue);
con.close();
} catch (Exception ex) {
System.out.println(ex);
This is what i have in my ASP Page: testsoap.asp

Actually,i need to see the response in XML format as per my program.
But,What does all this stuff mean ? I have using latest jwsdp 1.2.
Can Anyone Help me on this ?i have the same problem. when i make a test with a VB client, the SOAP message is builded this way "<SOAP.... instead of <SOAP-ENV.... tag generated by java. When a make a test in vb client using this syntax (SOAP-ENV), the asp page returns a error:
<font face="Arial" size=2>
<p>Microsoft VBScript runtime </font> <font face="Arial" size=2>error '800a01a8'</font>
<p>
<font face="Arial" size=2>Object required: 'objXMLDOM.selectSingleNode(...)'</font>
<p>
<font face="Arial" size=2>/rcruz/soap/vbSoap/simplesoap.asp</font><font face="Arial" size=2>, line 6</font>

XSLT transformation error when importing target group in CRM Survey cockpit
Hi,
I created a target group using the segment builder and exported that to a local file. Then when creating a survey using CRM survey cockpit (tcode: SURVEY) and trying to import the same target group from the local file; I get an error :
"Error when applying a XSLT transformation"
System Response
Data transformation cannot be executed. Application functions that depend on the transformation cannot be executed
I tried various file formats : RTF, TXT, XLS, HTML but still I get the same error. Export to XML option is neither available while exporting from segment builder nor while importing into Survey cockpit. The target group is not empty.
Are there any settings to be maintained to resolve the error ?????
Dhaval.Hi Suhel,
Thanks for the response... as far as my understanding goes, the crm survey suite can be used for maintaining questoinnaires that are transaction specific. also the functionality of question tables and rows is not available in the survey suite but is available in the survey cockpit (tcode: SURVEY).
However the same does not allow me to refer to the target groups created using the segment builder.... Is there a way I can use the target group created through the segment builder in the survey cockpit ????

Hi,
We are having a problem reading Soap Response:
Scenario: From XI/PI we are calling a webservice with Synchronous
message with WS-Security including Authentication, Signature, TimeStamp
and Encryption using SOAP Receiver Adapter. We are able to send the
request successfully and also the webServer is able to understand the
request and sending the response back. The problem is the PI is unable
to read the response and giving a below error:
com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: expecting end tag:
Transform, but found
InclusiveNamespaces at state 1
We tested successfully end-end with NON-Secured sites with out WS-
Security.
Please let me know if you have seen this error or any thoughts.
Thanks,
Laxman

PriyaHi Priya,
you can try with the below,
1) Create a local ITAB with the structure of the XML,
TYPES: BEGIN OF t_data,
projectid TYPE char30,
stage TYPE char30,
country TYPE char30,
region TYPE char30,
teamleader TYPE char30,
teamleaderfirstname TYPE char30,
teamleaderlastname TYPE char30,
actiontype TYPE char30,
END OF t_data.
2) Create an XSLT prog in "STRANS" with the below code,
<xsl:transform xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"
xmlns:sap="http://www.sap.com/sapxsl" version="1.0">
<xsl:strip-space elements="*"/>
<xsl:template match="/">
<asx:abap xmlns:asx="http://www.sap.com/abapxml" version="1.0">
<asx:values>
<L_DATA>
<xsl:apply-templates select="//projectInfo"/>
</L_DATA>
</asx:values>
</asx:abap>
</xsl:template>
<xsl:template match="projectInfo">
<conceptRevDecisionXml>
<PROJECTID>
<xsl:value-of select="projectId"/>
</PROJECTID>
<STAGE>
<xsl:value-of select="stage"/>
</STAGE>
<COUNTRY>
<xsl:value-of select="country"/>
</COUNTRY>
<REGION>
<xsl:value-of select="region"/>
</REGION>
<TEAMLEADER>
<xsl:value-of select="teamleader"/>
</TEAMLEADER>
<TEAMLEADERFIRSTNAME>
<xsl:value-of select="teamleaderfirstname"/>
</TEAMLEADERFIRSTNAME>
<TEAMLEADERLASTNAME>
<xsl:value-of select="teamleaderlastname"/>
</TEAMLEADERLASTNAME>
<ACTIONTYPE>
<xsl:value-of select="actionType"/>
</ACTIONTYPE>
</conceptRevDecisionXml>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:transform>
3) Call the transformation as shown below,
CALL TRANSFORMATION zxslt_project ---> "Name of the XSLT prog created above
SOURCE XML l_xml_str ---> Source XML string
RESULT l_data = l_data. ---> ITAB as in step 1 above

Error when applying a XSLT transformation: No valid XSLT pro
Dear All,
I am getting following error when opening the "General Supplier Data" from Pre-Select Supplier.
Error Message: "Error message: Error when applying a XSLT transformation: No valid XSLT program supplied"
I have already read the related threads on SDN and checked the SAP Note 883896 and others. Even tried running the program UXS_DEL_NAVIGATION_NODE and UXS_ADD_MISSING_XSLT_NAME. But not able to solve the issue.
Kindly Help.
Regards,
SagarHi Masa,
Thanks for reply. I have checked this note. As note suggests, S_DEVELOP auth object is assigned to the user. and it has value *.
Do I need to check anything else?

Hi All,
We have a scenario of FTP-->PI---> Webservice. While triggering the data in the FTP, it is failing in the PI with the below error
SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/PARSING/ADAPTER.SOAP_EXCEPTION - soap fault: Server was unable to read request. ---> There is an error in XML document (1, 447). ---> Input string was not in a correct format.
Can you please help?Hi Raja- It seems to be a data quality issue.
Check for the value @ 1447 position in the xml message that you are trying to send to web service..
may be a date filed/decimal value which is not in expected format. -
Hi there,
I am trying to publish a file from SAP as web service using XI and SOAP Adapter.
I am using ABAP proxy to get the data into XI.
Designing and Configuration in XI has no problems because when i use File adapter the data is trasmitted to FTP server.
But when I used SOAP Reciever adapter I am getting following error in RWB
Delivery of the message to the application using connection SOAP_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 500 Error during parsing of SOAP header.
<b>Scenario</b>: SAP ABAP Proxy -> XI -> WebService. Asynchronous.
<b>SOAP</b> Receiver adaptor.
<b>Target URL</b> http://<host>:<port number >/sap/xi/engine?type=entry&version=3.0&Sender.Service=SAPDC2653&Interface=urn:bzttest:00:hsa:test%5EOB_MI_BZT_TEST&QualityOfService=ExactlyOnce
Do not use SOAP Envelop is checked.
<b>SOAP Action</b> http://sap.com/xi/WebService/soap1.1
What i am missing here? How should I solve this problem?
Any help is appreciated,
Thx,
YogiSay there's a bapi/rfc that you want to call on an R/3 backend (e.g. 4.6c). On it's own, the R/3 system cannot expose the rfc/bapi as a web service, but XI can. So in this case, the scenario would be:
WS client -> XI -> R/3
When XI "exposes" a web service, it is exposing a service for a receiving system (in the above example, the R/3 system). XI itself does not provide or contain the service implementation. When XI exposes a web service, it is always done via the <b>sender</b> soap adapter (i.e. if soap adapter is used). Receiver soap adapter is used to call or consume an actual web service from an external application.

Jin
