Error Processing a line in Flat File ActiveSync

We are using IDM 5.5 running on Websphere 6.0.2.3.
We are feeding a caret seperated flat file to IDM which in turn writes to Sun One Directory Server.
A sample format of the caret seperated file is
ssocorrespondlanguage^ssouid^mail^cn^sn^givenname^appaccess^uid^ssostatus
^A1C1C423-71F0-138F-CB8C-BCC3BAAF484F^[email protected]^Luigi Marra^Marra^Luigi^portal^[email protected]^A
^3DCC1E95-4E7D-113A-BFC0-AAA3BA195331^[email protected]^adhi asokan^asokan^adhi^portal^aadhees^A
We are facing an issue where IDM is not able to process a line.
I suppose its because of the "@" or "." character in the uid field as higlighted. Not sure though.
But am not able to figure it out how to aviod this.
The error which we are getting is
2005-12-02T15:31:11.152-0500: Error Processing Line: {gessouid=A1C1C423-71F0-138F-CB8C-BCC3BAAF484F, sn=Marra, cn=Luigi Marra, uid=[email protected], gessostatus=A, gegcfappaccess=portal, mail=[email protected], givenname=Luigi, gessocorrespondlanguage=, diffAction=create}
com.waveset.adapter.iapi.IAPIException: Item Resource:uniteam.it@GECF_B2B_FF(id=null) was not found.
Have someone seen this issue.
Or someone have any idea on this.
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.
Sorry! I was out of pocket for couple of days........
I just double checked. I am using unique Employee ID as the "Unique key for diff" and also I have 'process diff. only' flag to set to true.
In my tests, I modified only contractor expiry date in the incoming sap flat file and then tried processing the file. It gave me the above error. Please note that the same employee id was available in the FFA* file also.
Interestingly, I tried the same test for another account and it worked for that account. That's what actually totally threw me off.
Thanks once again.........

  • Processing records using Flat file ActiveSync resource

    Hi Folks,
I was working on flat file activeSync resource adapter. Documentation says the following..
The Flat File Active Sync adapter can track the timestamp of a flat file. In addition, the adapter can archive the last file processed and then compare it to the most recent version. Identity Manager will then act on the accounts that are different in the two files.
If these features are enabled, the first time Identity Manager polls the source flat file, the system copies the file and places it in the same directory. The copied (archived) file is named FFAS_timestamp.FFAS, with the timestamp indicating the last time the original file was changed. The format of the timestamp is determined by the operating system on which the source file resides.
On each subsequent poll, Identity Manager compares the timestamp on the original file with the most recent timestamp. If the new timestamp value is the same as the previous value, then the file has not changed, and no further processing is performed until the next poll. If the timestamp values are different, Identity Manager checks for the presence of the FFAS file. If the file does not exist, Identity Manager processes the updated source file as if it were a new file.
If the timestamps are different and the archived FFAS file exists, Identity Manager compares the source file with the archived file. The comparison will filter any users that have not changed. If a user has changed, then it will be sent through the adapter in the normal manner, and the configured process, correlation and delete rules determine what to do with the user.
I have set the following attributes in synchronization policy as
Track Last Processed Timestamp : true
    Process Differences Only : true
    Unique Key for Diff : <some attribute>
I have the following flat file..
    PERSONID,accountID,FIRSTNAME,LASTNAME,NATID,BIRTHDATE,EXTERNALID,TYPE,COUNTRY
    10004,,test,4,123444,12/01/1804,204,A,USA
    10005,,test,5,,12/01/1805,205,M,USA
There is no user account in IDM repository. After processing this file, my code creates the above accounts in IDM.
I deleted the above two accounts from IDM using admin interface and the accounts are not created again. So far good.
Now I opened the above flat file and just saved again. It creates the account in IDM.
According to the above documentation, it should not create the account as the flat file is already processed based on diff operation. Then Why it is creating the account again in IDM? Any logic??
    Your repsonse will be appreciated.

    Hi,
I am pretty sure this has been working for me but with IAPI.Cancel. Please try to capitalize the C.

    Patrick

  • Error Message: "There was an error processing a page.  A file I/O error has occurred"

    Hi
I am running Windows XP on a lab top for a while. Just recently, every time I opened PDF files, I was getting an empty page. So, I installed the latest Adobe Reader. After that I started getting the error message "There was an error processing a page. A file I/O error has occurred".
Does anybody have a solution to this?
    Thanks in advance.

I found my problem. My down scale quits, but quits as in not showing it's working. (I was confused too).  Most all files can not be seen until fully downloaded. For whatever reason, perhaps a glitch or the new modum or video card.  When downloading do not interupt as in wanting to view a page, but go to Network and Sharing Center (bottom right hand corner - click the computer running symbol) and click View Status. See Activity. If the numbers are rolling you are recieving. Waiting until it is complete.  This is madding, but I've learned to live with it.
    Hopes this helps.....

    Hi,
I think we could handle this with may be usage of Advanced UDF in Graphical mapping only.
Here as per the condition you are deleting the particular record but unknowingly blank value i.e. " " is getting passed so on target side blank node is created for this record.
You need to just avoid this blank Node.
If you can share the logic you have applied for Middle field as well the source and target structure I will be able to try the UDF code..based on it
    Thanks

  • Error while trying to process multiple Recordsets in Flat file.

    Hi All,
I am working on Flat File to Flat File scenario and my structure is as follows.
    Recordset
         Record1
              Field1
              Field2
         Record2
              Field3
              Field4
         |
         Record9
              Field5
              Field6
I am going to receiver multiple Recordsets from my input and need to pass them as output flat file after doing some manipulations in mapping(I am using Java mapping).
In Moni I am able to see multiple Recordset XMLs created but the message is failing in receiver communication channel with error
"Failed to process message content. Reason: Exception in XML Parser (format problem?):'java.lang.Exception: Message processing failed in XML parser: 'Conversion configuration error: Unknown structure '' found in document', probably configuration error in file adapter (XML parser error)' (Software version: 3.0.1)"
When I am trying to pass Single Recordset I am able to see the output, but when I am trying with multiple Recordsets it is throwing error.
Can anybody help me in finding the root cause to this problem.
My Receiver channel Content conversion is as follows.
         RecordsetStructure: Record1,Record2, -- - - ,Record9
              Record1.fieldFixedLengths
              Record1.fieldNames
              Record1.endSeparator so on till Record9
    Regards,
    Jayaram.G

You might want to check the following things
    Are u specifying field names,separators for Record1,Record2..Record9.
Is you occurence repeats after record1..record9 again?
Change your  structure occurence as per the runtime data you provide..
See whether your java mapping modifies the structure that does not match with fcc configuration. You might want to pay attention over there too.

  • Error when loading hierarchy through flat file

    Dear All,
We are facing an issue during hierarchy upload through flat file.
    Below is the message :-
Error 8 when compiling the upload program: row 658, message: A newer version of data type /BIC/B0000559000 was.
    Message no. RSAR233.
    Nothing else is being displayed.
Request you to guide on this.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Anup

    Hi,
I faced the same issue earlier.
This is what i did. SE38-RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL run the program and give your sourcesystem name this activates all the structure including new version /BIC structure what you have stated.
After which you need to refresh the RSA1 Tcode and do the same process again to load the hierarchy.
    It should work fine now.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Harish

  • Errors extracting from Essbase to flat file

New to ODI, I have the environment working - so I think
Using ODI 11.1.1.6.0 Studio, no web services, just the studio.
    Essbase 9.3.3 is source
Target is flat file on C:\ drive of PC
PC is Windows 7, 32 bit
running an interface to extract from Essbase outline (metadata) to a flat file (csv) the integration step (4) "Extract Metadata" fails. The first 3 steps are sucessful (drop work table, create work table, begin essbase metadata extract).
The error messages in the 4th step are:

Only the file name being written to in the Target exists, it is updated with the column headings:
    C1_SORTID,C2_PARENTNAME,C3_MEMBERNAME,C4_ALIAS,C5_DATASTORAGE,C6_TWOPASSCALC,C7_CONSOLIDATION,C8_UDA,C9_FORMULA,C10_COMMENT
There are no other files in the the Target flat file folder
I did have to add a primary key to the target datastore, added as PK_Sortid on the "SortID" column in order to get the flow to run. The LKM used is "LKM Hyperion Essbase METADATA to SQL.GLOBAL", the CKM is "CKM SQL.GLOBAL" ( the only one showing from the drop down).
I don't know what else to check or change.
    thanks

I think I saw somewhere in your post that Staging different from target is NOT checked, probably why you are getting lots of 'loading to staging area errors'. Your staging area has to be able to support relational operations i.e a relational database such as SQL Server or Oracle or the SUNOPSIS Memory Engine. In your interface make sure you check the staging differnet from target and for example select the SUNOPSIS Memory Engine as your staging area. Resave the interfece and re-run.

its a general practice that the system eliminates the prefix Zeros..
    Use the option:
format and define the cell as text

  • Error while loading table from flat file (.csv)

I have a flat file which i am loading into a Target Table in Oracle Warehouse Builder. It uses SQL Loader Internally to load the data from flat file, I am facing an issue. Please find the following error ( This is an extract from the error log generated)
    SQL*Loader-500: Unable to open file (D:\MY CURRENT PROJECTS\GEIP-IHSS-Santa Clara\CDI-OWB\Source_Systems\Acquisition.csv)
SQL*Loader-552: insufficient privilege to open file
SQL*Loader-509: System error: The data is invalid.
SQL*Loader-2026: the load was aborted because SQL Loader cannot continue.
I believe that this is related to SQL * Loader error.
ACtually the flat file resides in my system ( D:\MY CURRENT PROJECTS\GEIP-IHSS-Santa Clara\CDI-OWB\Source_Systems\Acquisition.csv). I am connecting to a oracle server.
    Please suggest
Is it required that i need to place the flat file in Oracle Server System ??
    Regards,
    Ashoka BL

    Hi
I am getting an error as well which is similar to that described above except that I get
SQL*Loader-500: Unable to open file (/u21/oracle/owb_staging/WHITEST/source_depot/Durham_Inventory_Labels.csv)
    SQL*Loader-553: file not found
SQL*Loader-509: System error: The system cannot find the file specified.
SQL*Loader-2026: the load was aborted because SQL Loader cannot continue.
The difference is that Ashoka was getting
SQL*Loader-552: insufficient privilege to open file
    and I get
    SQL*Loader-553: file not found
The initial thought is that the file does not exist in the directory specified or I have spelt the filename incorrectly it but this has been checked and double checked. The unix directory also has permission to read and write.
Also in the error message is
    Control File: C:\u21\oracle\owb_staging\WHITEST\source_depot\INV_LOAD_LABEL_INVENTORY.ctl
Character Set WE8MSWIN1252 specified for all input.
    Data File: /u21/oracle/owb_staging/WHITEST/source_depot/Durham_Inventory_Labels.csv
    Bad File: C:\u21\oracle\owb_staging\WHITEST\source_depot\Durham_Inventory_Labels.bad
As can be seen from the above it seems to be trying to create the ctl and bad file on my c drive instead of on the server in the same directory as the .csv file. The location is registered to the server directory /u21/oracle/owb_staging/WHITEST/source_depot
I am at a lost as this works fine in development and I have just promoted all the development work to a systest environment using OMBPlus.
The directory structure in development is the same as systest except that the data file is /u21/oracle/owb_staging/WHITED/source_depot/Durham_Inventory_Labels.csv and everything works fine - .ctl and .bad created in the same directory and the data sucessfully loads into a oracle table.
Have I missed a setting in OWB during the promotion to systest or is there something wrong in the way the repository in the systest database is setup?
The systest and development databases are on the same box.
Any help would be much appreciated
    Thanks
    Edwin
