ERROR [B3108]: Unrecoverable out of memory error during a cluster operation
We are using Sun Java(tm) System Message Queue Version: 3.5 SP1 (Build 48-G). We are using two JMS servers as a cluster.
But we frequently getting the out of memory issue during the cluster operation.
Messages also got queued up in the Topics. Eventhough listeners have the capability to reconnect with the Server after the broker restarting, usually we are restarting consumer instances to get work this.
Here is detailed log :
Jan 5 13:45:40 polar1-18.eastern.com imqbrokerd_cns-jms-18[8980]: [ID 478930 daemon.error] ERROR [B3108]: Unrecoverable out of memory error during a cluster operation. Shutting down the broker.
Jan 5 13:45:57 polar1-18.eastern18.chntva1-dc1.cscehub.com imqbrokerd: [ID 702911 daemon.notice] Message Queue broker terminated abnormally -- restarting.
Expecting your attention on this.
ThanksHi,
If you do not use any special cmdline options, how do you configure your servers/
brokers to 1 Gb or 2 Gb JVM heap ?
Regarding your question on why the consumers appear to be connecting to just
one of the brokers -
How are the connection factories that the consumers use configured ?
Is the connection factory configured using the imqAddressList and
imqAddressListBehavior attributes ? Documentation for this is at:
http://docs.sun.com/source/819-2571/ref_adminobj_props.html#wp62463
imqAddressList should contain a list of brokers (i.e. 2 for you) in the cluster
e.g.
mq://server1:7676/jms,mq://server2:7676/jms
imqAddressListBehavior defines how the 2 brokers in the above list are picked.
The default is in the order of the list - so mq://server1:7676/jms will always be
picked by default. If you want random behavior (which will hopefully even out the
load), set imqAddressListBehavior to RANDOM.

Error: Halting this cluster node due to unrecoverable service failure
Our cluster has experienced some sort of fault that has only become apparent today. The origin appears to have been nearly a month ago yet the symptoms have only just manifested.
The node in question is a standalone instance running a DistributedCache service with local storage. It output the following to stdout on Jan-22:
Coherence <Error>: Halting this cluster node due to unrecoverable service failure
It finally failed today with OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space.
We're running coherence-3.5.2.jar.
Q1: It looks like this node failed on Jan-22 yet we did not notice. What is the best way to monitor node health?
Q2: What might the root cause be for such a fault?
I found the following in the logs:

It seems like the problem in this case is the call to clear() which will try to load all entries stored in the overflow scheme to emit potential cache events to listeners. This probably requires much more memory than there is Java heap available, hence the OOM.
Our recommendation in this case is to call destroy() since this will bypass the even firing.

There was an error to lookup cluster groups.
Hi,
I'm quite new to the SQL Server. I have installed SQL 2012 cluster installation and I received an error when I was installing second node of the cluster. First node installed without any issue. Please see the following error.
There was an error to lookup cluster groups. Error: There was a failure to call cluster code from a provider. Exception message: There are no more endpoints available from the endpoint mapper.
Thanks,
Thisaru.What version of the installation media are you using? I would recommend installing service pack 1 on the first node and use an installation media that included service pack 1 to add the second node.
Now to understand the issue better, are there any other error messages reported by the installation process?

Ensure that the network adapters associated with dependent IP address resources are configured with at least one accessible DNS server.
Not sure, What is the issue here? All of a sudden getting error in my cluster. My DNS settings are looks OK.Hi Karthikeyan R – FGS,
Could you offer us your cluster event ID and original error message, or you can enable the DNS debug log and filter your cluster VIP to get the DNS register error. Please confirm
you are using the enough permission account when you create your cluster, the detail permission require you can refer the following KB:

NQSError: 47051 error on Windows cluster
I’m getting nQSError: 47051 while installing OBIEE cluster on windows.
Here’s the situation. We are installing OBIEE (10.1.3.4) on a two node (Windows 2003, SP2) cluster. The shared file system is built on a SAN using windows clustering. This windows SAN cluster is also attached to the primary OBIEE server as a local drive. All the shared files (Repository Publishing Directory, Cache directory etc.) are mapped to this cluster.
After the configuration the OBI Server doesn’t start and throws error
[nQSError: 47024] The Oracle BI Server participates in a cluster but errors were found in the cluster configuration file.
[nQSError: 47051] The Oracle BI Server is specified as participating in a cluster, but global cache file storage location, <My shared file location, is invalid.
I am perplexed since I (or the user owning OBIEE) can see this disk using ‘Windows explorer’ and read and right to it. Then what can be the issue with OBIEE server?
Funny thing is when I specify my local directory (the SAN cluster attached locally) as the cache location it works!
Interestingly I found out that there is a bug (6165192) on OBIEE 10.1.3.3 where simillar problem is listed. Not sure if that is still applicable to 10.1.3.4.
I noticed that we have all kinds of firewall (internally) between the servers. Can that block the OBIPS communication with the server to which the SAN disk is attached? If yes, then what Protocol is used for such a communication and on what port?
Did any of you face similar situation? If yes, then what was your resolution?
Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.Hi,
In our environment we have installed OBIEE 10.1.3.4 on two windows servers(primary and secondary) and these servers not clustered using Microsoft or any other cluster software .
We are planning to use SAN drive to hold the shared cache, now we are facing a challenge in configuring the SAN to see from both OBIEE servers, is it possible to use the SAN with out installing any cluster between these servers.
I understood from above post that you guys implemented/installed OBIEE on Windows environment with SAN.
Is it possible to have a quick call. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks -
Error while creating cluster view
Hi all,
Requirement is to create cluster view copying cluster view VC_TABWU01 into custom view.
CV VC_TABWU01 has two data base views V_T093C_10 and V_T093U_01 I copied them both in to ZT093U_01 and ZT093C_10 and created a CV Z_TABWU01. Field dependence is set, when I am activating view I am getting message that screen 300 of ZT093U_01 is modified. I changed all possible options as standard view, kindly help me activating cluster view.
Error: The flow logic of the screen ZT093U_01 0300 is not that of a generated view maintenance list screen. Either the screen has been considerably modified manually, or the view which it is based on has no maintainable key.
Thanks

we are getting error while DB2 Instance installation in step ,
configuring the database for MSCS.
we have prepared the MSCS.cfg file and while executing the db2mscs utility,
it is giving error as
DB21533E An error occurred during the migration of the DB2 instance, rc = "DBI1969".
MSCS.CFG entries are as follows
DB2_INSTANCE=DB2EOP
DB2_LOGON_USERNAME = OIASAPSRV\db2eop
DB2_LOGON_PASSWORD = oiaeopadm#3
CLUSTER_NAME=MYCLUSTER

DISK_NAME=SAPDATA (R:)
DISK_NAME=LOG (F:)
INSTPROF_PATH=F:\db2\db2eop\DB2EOP\db2_software
please replyHi Nitin,
make shure:
INSTPROF_PATH=F:\db2\db2eop\DB2EOP\db2_software
points to a shared drive!
DB2 will create the clustered instance there
Please read the header of the MSCS.CFG file:
INSTPROF_PATH This is an alternative way to specify a path on the MSCS disk
to contain the DB2 instance directory. Use this parameter
if the DB2MSCS utility is unable to obtain the drive letter
of the disk resource.

Error in Verify Cluster of Oracle FailSafe Manager
Hello,
I am doing SAP ERP6.0 installation on MSCS cluster environment. I have finished the following steps
ASCS Installation,First MSCS Node Configuration,Database Instance Installation,Additional MSCS node configuration, Enqueue Replication Server Installation and Central Instance Installation.
I am now creating the Oracle FailSafe Group on the MSCS node which has the quorum resource in my case the DB node.
After adding the Cluster when I click on Verify Cluster I get error. Below is the VerifyCluster log

Kindly suggest what action should I take to resolve this error.

OFFLINE backup and DB13 jobs configuratins error in MSCS cluster with OFS
Hello,
We have recently installed SAP ERP 6.0 EhP4 SR1 in MSCS cluster using Oracle Fail Safe.
The installation is successful and all the failover scenarios work fine.
I need to schedule offline backups and DB13 jobs, which is not possible in current scenario as once the database shuts down it fails over to node2.
I am following sapnote 657999 to install standalone gateway on both the nodes of the cluster and assigned the service to ORACLE<SID> group. the gw<SID> is different from the ERP<SID>.
However, the service SAP<gwSID>_<gwSN> fail to come up with the following error.
The service SAPSGA_30 cannot be started on local computer
error 1067: the process terminated unexpectedly.
The ../SapCluster/sapgw and associated directories have full permission.
Following are the contents of the profiles in ../SapCluster/sapgw
default.pfl
SAPDBHOST = ORACLEPRD
gw30.pfl
SAPSYSTEMNAME = SGA
INSTANCE_NAME = GW30
SAPSYSTEM = 30
DIR_PROFILE=C:\WINDOWS\SapCluster\sapgw
DIR_EXECUTABLE=C:\WINDOWS\SapCluster\sapgw
DIR_INSTANCE=C:\WINDOWS\SapCluster\sapgw
SAPLOCALHOST = ORACLEPRD
SAPLOCALHOSTFULL = ORACLEPRD
startgw.pfl
SAPSYSTEMNAME = SGA
INSTANCE_NAME = GW30
SAPSYSTEM = 30
DIR_EXECUTABLE = C:\WINDOWS\SapCluster\sapgw
DIR_PROFILE = C:\WINDOWS\SapCluster\sapgw
DIR_INSTANCE = C:\WINDOWS\SapCluster\sapgw
_GW=gwrd.exe
Start_Program_00 = local $(DIR_EXECUTABLE)\$(_GW) pf=$(DIR_PROFILE)\gw30.pfl
Now as the service is a part of my ORACLE<ERP SID> group, everytime I try to bring the group online, it fails due to the gw service and toggles many times in the two nodes before coming to rest on one node withfailed gw service and database in the up condition.
Any insight in this regard will be really helpful.
Thanks
NischalHello,
Yes we were able to configure offline backups.
We opted to install standalone gateway on both nodes and added it to the DB group. That provides the essential shell console.
You need to follow the SAP Note 657999 and then 378648 for setting the necessary environment variables.
One piece of advice, use the SID and system no. for the independent gateway, different from any of your SAP installations.
Thanks

At the end of live storage migration in SCVMM 2012 R2 RU3 getting error:
Error (12711)
VMM cannot complete the WMI operation on the server (hypervhost1.domain.local) because of an error: [MSCluster_Resource.Name="SCVMM test-vm"] The cluster resource could not be found.
The cluster resource could not be found (0x138F)
Recommended Action
Resolve the issue and then try the operation again.
Storage migration actually succeeds and after Repair/Ignore and Refresh, the VM shows up ok in VMM, with the VHD in new location.
If VM is offline, storage migration always succeeds. Live (non-storage) migration always succeeds.
I noticed in the error message that it searches for cluster resource name "SCVMM test-vm" and for some VMs I've got different cluster resource names.
Like for this VM cluster resource names are:
Virtual Machine test-vm
Virtual Machine Configuration test-vm
Furthermore, those resource names are showing up correctly in [VirtualManagerDB].[dbo].[tbl_WLC_VMInstance] table, columns VMResource and VMConfigResource.
Anyone knows why SCVMM keeps searching for "SCVMM test-vm" and how to fix this without recreating cluster resources?Ok, you have the same problem and same configuration that this post:

DPM 2012 R2 Consistency Check (Replica Inconsistent) Error for Failover Cluster
I have a SCDPM 2012 R2 instance running against a Windows Server 2012 R2 Failover Cluster on the network.
However, any new/migrated Roles/Virtual machines that I add under an existing protection group always gives me an error saying that the replica is inconsistent.
I've verified the following :
1. All windows updates are applied on the cluster hosts & the DPM server.
2. The VSS and DPMRA services are running on the hosts & DPM server.
3. The Windows Server Backup feature has been installed on all the machines as well.
4. The short term storage disks attached to the DPM server are LUNs and there is enough free space on those.
What else am I missing that could be causing the Replica to be inconsistent - considering that these are new VMs on the hosts themselves - is there a way to force a fresh replica to be created?Do not remove any of the providers they come with the system. There is just something wrong with that VM, your trying to backup, as it could take the initial replica creation.
Check all of the following
1) Make sure you have enough C drive space on the guest - need space to create a snapshot
2) Check the vssadmin list wirters for any errors
If none of the above, rerun the consistency check when no other backup is running. Check the Application log on the host for any vss failures
Ensure you have all the DPM hotfixes - I am compiling a list since i've been thru many DPM issues.
Great product when you get it going but like any product there are bumps in the road :)
