Error pushing client "Failed to get DP locations as the expected version from MP...."

I am new at SCCM.  installed 2012 R2 and SQL 2012 R2 on a single server.   I created a boundary and a boundary group and ran discover on my AD.  I am trying to push the client to a couple of discovered PCs.  I resolved an issue with a
permissions error accessing the \admin$ share, but now I'm getting "Failed to get DP locations as the expected version from MP servername..."
I'm seeing this in the client ccmsetup.log
I've tried everything I can think of and still can't fix it.   I have checked my DP and it was set to HTTP.   Can anyone help offer some suggestions?
Thanks

The error means the expected version of Client Package cannot be got from DP. Please update Client Package from Package Node in SCCM Console, then observe the distmgr.log to make sure the updated pkg has been distributed to DP, then try again.

I have a feeling the two errors are related but I’m not sure where to begin to troubleshoot.

Thanks for your reply, and yes I believe it is all set up as it needs to be, but obviously I'm missing something.
I will add this: the client will eventually install. I am still testing of course and each of the 2 clients I have pushed it out too has gotten this error but
I come back the next day and it has installed.

  • Failed to get DP locations as the expected version. Client is failing to install.

    Hi,
I am at a loss here.
Out of all the times that I have installed and setup automatic client install. I have never come across this one until now.
I have tried everything, but I still cant figure whats going on.
The client will install and communicate on my site server. But I can't get it to install on anything else.
I thought it might be the Windows Firewall, so I turned them all off. But I'm still getting the same problem.
    Here is a screenshot :
    Can some help?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Could you open  http://<MP Name>/<mp name="">sms_mp/.sms_aut?mplist</mp> from IE on the client?
Please check MP_Framework.log and MP_Location.log to see whether there are any helpful information.
    Best Regards,

Hello, currently getting below error msg's utilizing software thru which LDAP is queried for discovering AD objects/path and resource enumeration and tracking.
Have ensured firewalls and port (389 ) relational to LDAP are not closed, thus causing hanging.
I see there was a write up on Svr 2003 ( https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/315071 ) not sure if this is applicable, of if the "Ntdsutil.exe" arcitecture has changed much from Svr 03. Please advise.

The link you shared is still applicable. You can adjust your LDAP policy depending on your software requirements.
I would also recommend that you in touch with your software vendor to get more details about the software requirements.

folks.. i am sending my class object on Sockets from client to Server (i am implementing Seriablizable Interface).
    No your aren't.
You are sending the data in the class.
That is what serialization does. (And actually not all data can be sent either.)
When i get the object on server, i am able to print all its fields and methods... But i have one problem. I want to invoke a simple static method that just prints "hello".. The method on client that i am trying to invoke is....You probably either need stop attempting that or re-architect the solution.
It is possible to send a class (not data) to another computer and that computer runs it. That is how applets work.
But for that to work you must send the class. And deal with how the VM loads and unloads classes (not data) as well.

    Satish.

    Hi Satish,
You have not given us much to work on and especially because we do not get this error, I can only assume that you are not doing the right thing.
FYI I quote what is being suggested to newbies:

    You
are using the latest Spry files
    The latest version of
the Adobe Spry Framework is 1.6.1, this is the same version that ships
with Dreamweaver CS4. If you use Dreamweaver CS3 (uses Spry 1.4), its
wise to upgrade your files to the latest version. This can easily be
done using the Spry Updater that can be found here.

    question was not asked before
    Using the search

    Hi,
We have installed FIM MA with an account that have all the sufficient rights. It got created successfully and worked for Full Import and Full Sync. But, due to some version incompatabilities, we have installed a patch.PFB link for the patch.
    http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2969673/en-us
Now, we are trying to refresh the schema of FIM MA. While doing that we are facing an error "Failed to connect to database". The user account with which we are connecting has read and write permissions on DB.In the event viewer some errors are
logged like  "the current version of database is not compatible with the one expected by Forefront Identity Manager service. The current version of database is : 1116. The expected version is :1122" with event ID 3. PFB images for more detailed
    view.
Please advice how to fix the issue.
    Thanks
    Prasanthi.

    Hello,
seems to me that you maybe only updated the syncengine but not portal/webservice.
I had that error once after an recovery from scratch and forgot one of the hotfixes to apply to all services.

    Hello KGDJ,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
When there is a mismatch between the iTunes Store's records and your credit card company's records, you will receive an error message
For more information on this, take a look at:
iTunes Store: My credit card's security code or zip code does not match my bank's records
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1646
If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorizations have the correct information on file.
    Best of luck,
    Mario

However when I try to run February CU or December CU I get the error:
The expected version of the product was not found on the system
it's possible that I messed up because
I think I installed a SharePoint Server Service Pack 2 in a SharePoint Foundation Farm.
these are the files I ran:
    1 - SP2 pt-br
    oserversp2010-kb2687453-fullfile-x64-pt-br
    2 - SP2 for Language Pack pt-br:
    oslpksp2010-kb2687462-fullfile-x64-pt-br
3 - ran configuration wizard (had na error message the first time and success in the second try)
4 - December CU or February CU:
Download SharePoint Foundation 2010 February 2014 CU
The expected version of the product was not found on the system
In the first step I think I should have installed
    wsssp2010-kb2687464-fullfile-x64-pt-br
Now I try to runthis and I get:
The update is already installed on the system.
Hopefully this is a QA Environment but it would be a pain to start over.
    Any suggestion?
    Thanks

When you launch iPhoto with the option key depressed you'll get this window:

  • How can I get serial numbers or the free versions of Adobe, Air, Flash Player 14, and Reader XI Pro

How can I get serial numbers or the free versions of Adobe, Air, Flash Player 14, and Reader XI Pro that I had installed on my computer before Microsoft crashed my computer and I had to do a fresh install? I finished reinstalling Win 8.1Pro on my computer thanks to Microsoft Lvl 1 Techies corrupting my Command Structure so nothing would work. I had recently taken a picture of my installed programs (control panel, uninstall programs list) so that I would be able to reinstall everything I needed. I can't seem to find an email for the Reader which I remember paying for, the others I believe were free installs. Can anyone help me out.

Safari Version 5.0.5  <  from your first post
5.0.5 is an outdated version of Safari.
There is an update available for Safari for version 5.1.1
    That may help.
Click your Apple menu icon top left in your screen the click Software Update
Restart your Mac after the updates are installed.
    Try full screen ...
If you have problems using Software Update from the menu you can use the standalone installer here >  Safari 5.1.1
