Error refreshing MV ....

Hello all,
I am trying to refresh a MV using the below cmd..i get thsi error? I treid it with sys, with the user itself..same thing...also treid...begin and end cluase...same error....the MV was create with this cluasse " REFRESH COMPLETE ON DEMAND " ....would that play a role in this refresh ??
SQL> EXECUTE DBMS_MVIEW.REFRESH(User.TEST_MV);
BEGIN DBMS_MVIEW.REFRESH(User.TEST_MV); END;
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-06550: line 1, column 35:
PLS-00357: Table,View Or Sequence reference 'User.TEST_MV' not allowed in
this context
ORA-06550: line 1, column 7:
PL/SQL: Statement ignored

Refresh on demand is exacly that. That means that there is no automatism doing the refresh for you. You have to do it - and you made a syntax mistake. It works as shown above.
You have also other possibilities to refresh:
1) with a schedule that you provide with the create materialized view stmt
2) on commit - also specified with the create mv
Then you would not have to exec dbms_mview.refresh manually (on demand)

  • Server 2009 R2 Stuck Installing Updates and Unexpected Error Refreshing Server Manager

I have a 2008 R2 server that is running but has issues when restarting or trying to install IE 10. I ran the System Readiness Tool and it fixed a number of issues but there are 5 remaining errors in the Component store that will not repair automatically.
    They are:

I tried to run a SFC but if failed because there is a repair operation that needs a reboot.  When rebooting, the server tries to install a number of updates but the update fail and the server backs them out and then comes up.  It goes through this
loop every restart.  There is a pending.xml file that has much in it and I will copy at the end of this post.
I moved the pending.xml out of the winsxs folder and tried to run the SFC again and now it fails with: "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation".
Checking windows updates shows that the IE 10 upgrade for Server 2008 R2 failed a number of times.  I tried to manually install it and it fails.  I was going to go to the server manager and see if I could disable IE and then re-enable it (this
has worked on W7 pcs in the past) but the Server manager aborts with "Unexpected Error refreshing Server Manager: Catastrophic failure (Exception from HResult: 0x8000FFFF (E_UNEXPECTED)).
The details of the pending.xml is 32MB but here is an initial snipet:

  • Error refresh transfering to PC Suite 6.81 rel 13

    Atenttion!
Error refresh transfering to PC Suite 6.81 rel 13 for Nokia 6021. My phone turn off short. My phone is connection via Bluetooth.
PC Suite 6.81 rel. 13 don't work correctly.
PC Suite 6.80 rel. 22 is all rights. It work correctly.

    Hi,
Files of around 3.5-4Mb play OK. The files that don't play are around 8-10Mb.
Yes, it's Nokia Music Manager I'm using.
Haven't tried moving it without converting - will try this.
When I say it plays but no sounds, what I mean is the music player comes up with the track apparently playing (i.e. all of the controls are there and the progress bar and time move as if the track is playing) but there is no sound.

Developer is trying to run from con_web schema he is getting the above error. The public synonym is based on a object in other schema wrt_src. Public synonym has been given select, insert, update, delete privs on the object in wrt_src schema. When i ran the underlying SQL of GRP_IMAGE_MV from con_web schema i am getting the result set. But when trying to refresh the Mview GRP_IMAGE_MV i am getting the above error. Can we run MV's whose underlying object is a public synonym ?
    Appreciate your reply ASAP.

    1. Make sure you can do a select on 'GRP_IMAGE_MV' ? (i.e really the table exists)
    2. you can also set the trace and inspect. alter session set sql_trace=true {code).

  • Error Refreshing DeskI using Infoview

    Hi all,
I'm getting the below error when trying to refresh DeskI report using infoview
"Your request could not be completed because a failure occured while the report was being processed. Please contact your system administrator.[RCIRAS0546]"
I cannot find any reference to this error code even on google!!!!!!
The strange thing about this error that is appears with some reports with a specific users
I'm using BOXIR3 on AIX on ORACLE 9i

    Hi Mahmaud,
Just wanted to ask a few quick questions:
    1. Is the issue replicable with all the reports you have? have you tried using the report based on sample universes.
    2. Are these new reports or migrtated ones.
    3. Since when have you started to face this issue?
    4. You can go for increasing the Tomcat Heap size.

  • Error refreshing report from parameter panel

I'm using Crystal Reports 2008 SP3 with .Net 4.0 in visual studio 2010
    I'm using the following components
    CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine   12.0.2000.0
    CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.Framework   12.0.1000.0
    CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.InfoStore       12.0.1000.0
    CrystalDecisions.Shared                           12.0.2000.0
    CrystalDecisions.Windows.Forms            12.0.2000.0
I have embedded the ViewerComponent in a windows form, everything works fine, loading report, exporting, printing, refreshing.
However, I need to allow the user to refresh the report by using the parameter panel, because once the report has been loaded, some parameters are not allowed to be changed by a user. So I try to accomplish this by using the parameter optional function and show in parameter panel (read only/ editable / Don't show)
However, when I try to edit a parameter in the parameter panel, I get to see the regular refresh dialog (this isn't a big problem...) however, when I do not enter any values, or just a few parameters, or all parameters, the viewer crashes with the following error:
Unable to cast object of type 'CrystalDecisions.Shared.ParameterField' to type 'CrystalDecisions.Windows.Forms.ParameterFieldInfo'.

    Thanks for your response.
However, your not really right about that. I have integrated the viewer component into a WindowsFormHost, so it will just operate like a normal Windows Forms applcation.
However, I'm wondering what is causing the Exception. It is trying to cast a ParameterField, can I override this?

  • Error refreshing report after applying security restrictions in IDT

    Hi,
I have created a report and now the requirement is that the user should be able to view data of his profile only for which i have created restricstions at universe at Business layer.. But after applying these if i refresh by the user id i get the error where as on removing this no error.
"An internal error occured while calling 'porcessDPCommandsEx' API. (Error: ERr_WIS_30270) (Error: INF)".
If i refresh using any other id other than used at restrictions the reports is getting refreshed. Please advise.
    This is on BOXIR4 SP3.
    Thanks in advance.

I believe you are implementing Row level restrictions either in UDT or IDT, The below video is for IDT, the concept is same for UDT.

Thanks for the reply. Load balancer is configured with sticky session. In my investigation, IBM web server plugin which load balances between two opensso also does not have sticky effenity session configuration. I have to check if there is something like that is available for in it.
But is that the issue? how can u tell that?

  • Error refreshing webi 0,#IND

    Hi,
When refreshing a webi, the key figure is showing the error 0,#IND . I've tried to find some documentation or post about this issue without any success.
Do you know what's happening and how to solve it?
    Thanks

    Hi all,
After investigating with a colleague, we found that the issue was that one Dimension was needed to be displayed in the report (there was some dependencies between the KeyFigure and that Dimension).
So, I displayed it, and hide it.
    The error disappeared after that.
    Regards.

  • G6 Card Refresh Error

I am getting several errors when running the system maintainance job against my document directory in G6. It looks like the errors are showing up when refreshing documents that have been upgraded from the 4.5 portal. Hi

Unexpected error refreshing Server Manager: The service cannot be started, either because it is disbaled or because it has no enabled devices assicaited with it (Exception from HResult: 0x80070422)
I have looked at my services - but don't know what service to look for, everything seems to be in order.
After some investigation on the net, I understood that I need to setup the win readiness tool, I did and the output in CheckSur file is as follows

Thanks in advance for your help

    Hi,
Please try to install Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 directly and check the result. Service Pack 1 for Windows Server 2008 R2 includes all the
previous released Windows Updates and hotfixes.
If it does not work, you will need to copy these files from another working Windows Server 2008 R2 system to replace the corrupt ones.
Otherwise, you will need to perform an In-Place upgrade to repair the system.
