Error SIZE_LIMIT_EXCEEDED (WIS 00000) in Web Intelligence BO 4.0 SP02

Hi All,
I am getting the following error in WebI on BO 4.0: SIZE_LIMIT_EXCEEDED (WIS 00000)
It is a big data set that I am fetching using a BICS connection from SAP BW BEx Query. There is no documentation available for this error.
If I remove one of the dimensions u2013 Quarter, it runs fine. But addition of Quarter or Month dimension leads to this error. There are no variables that I have defined in BEx query, though I am using 1 structure.
I cant use input controls as I need all this data and I query from this superset in my Dashboard.
Environment: BO 4.0 SP02
WAS: NW 7.3

Hi,
If you BW is 7.x, then you need to be on 7.01 SP06 as a minimum supported version (for BICS - webi integration). Most reference 7.01 customers are on SP09 with 10 in the pipe.
No, there is no BOBJ setting to resolve this - it's a warning thrown by the BW to indicate that you are requesting too much data. You might even be dumping ST22 cores into BW when this error shows!
As i said before - use mandatory Filters / Variables in Bex , and Query Stripping in webi. You need to go for a more lean, targetted reporting approach, not crude data extraction.
Also Note 1593802 in the BW can help performance.

WIH 00013 time out error while viewing a BO Web intelligence report

Hi,
I have a BO web intelligence report. While viewing the report i get WIH 00013 time out error. I have another report with everything same as this one except for one filter condition. That is working fine but former is giving me an error.
I tried changing the timeout values to 120 minutes from 90 minutes in connection server setting but didn't work.
Also when i run the same report by scheduling it in CMC and format as PDF, then it works fine. This error only comes when i try to view the report directly from infoview.
Please let me know if there is any other way to resolve.

Error: WIS 10901 in Web Intelligence XI in infoview

Hi, expert!
Now I am facing a strange problem, all my webi reports against universe created using Infocube/Bex query (basically SAP data source) get a error message in infoview -A database error occured. The database error text is: A runtime exception has occured. (License key check failed. Check that you are licensed to access SAP data sources). (WIS 10901). However all those reports can run in webi rich client without any problem.
Any clues whether this is a license issue or something else?

It sounds to me that the license key for the integration Kit for SAP solutions has expired on your BO server. Make sure to renew it.

Webi error (BICSRange (WIS 00000)

Hi Vijay,
Sorry I just realised I had used a link not publicly accessible, correct one is http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1941472. I guess you still could find this SAP Note in Support portal.
This error occurs when SemanticLayer component is processing default answers to variables, either predefined in BEx Variable or built in a Customer Exit ABAP function. So it could be possible first time you created report that default answers did not bring this issue, and later on when working on same BEx Query you may have gotten different default answers leading to your problem.
I think you should give it a try with newer release of BOE, like BI4.1 SP04, to check if it's reproducible at all in there.

JAVA Deployment and XIR2 Edit the webi.properties file :
1) Go to windows explorer.
2) Go to C drive (or wherever your Tomcat is installed) c:\programfiles\Tomcat\webapps\businessobjects\enterprise115\desktoplaunch\WEB-INF\classes\webi.properties
3) open this file webi.properties with a notepad and add MAX_HEAP_SIZE=1024000000 as the bottom most line of the file.
4) Save the file.
5) Restart the tomcat server and webi as well.
(This works for xir2 and this is not the permanent fix I guess)
For Xi3.0 : XI3.0-WEB INTELLIGENCE SERVER MEMORY FULL - ERROR (WIS -30280)
Cause
The error message appears because the Web Intelligence server stresses the memory resources when processing many reports containing a large amount of data.
Resolution
To resolve the error message, it is necessary to increase the memory heap size value. Complete these steps:
Click Start > Run. The Run dialog box appears.
Type "regedit" in the Open text field. Click OK. The Registry Editor appears.
Navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/Session Manager.
Click Subsystems > right-click Windows key > click Modify.
Edit the SharedSection value from 1024,3072,512 to 1024,3072,1024.
Also, set this to a value higher than the Web Intelligence Report Server connection time out value found in the Central Management Console. This value is written in minutes. The default value is 20.
Close the Registry Editor.
Restart the Web Intelligence Report Server for the changes to take effect.
So gurus please suggest for any alternative or permanent fix ,as this seems to be workaround.

Anybody has found any solution to this problem? The forum say in XIR2 we have to modify the webi.properties file in c:\programfiles\Tomcat\webapps\businessobjects\enterprise115\desktoplaunch\WEB-INF\classes\webi.properties to add MAX_HEAP_SIZE=1024000000 as the bottom most line of the file.
My first question is where can i find this file to add the parameter in XIR3.0? I have many webi.properties. Second question, is it the solution?

At a client location we use Web Intelligence as a front end tool. We have build a new report on an existing universe, which worked very well for 2 days on dev. Today we got a error message when the data is refreshed in the WebI report (infoview). The error seems to be popping up at random. Please view the below error message:

thank you for the hint. Anyway I already checked if a Universe refresh was needed, but it didn't.
My error is:
Error MDDataSetBW.GetCellData.

What I noticed is that it occours only if I access the report through SSO with a restricted user. Instead if I run it with a full authorization user, it works fine.
Moreover running corresponding MDX on MDXTEST (with the restricted user) I get a void structure (only colum name but no rows). So think there is also a trouble in how authorization are assigned.
So my main main doubt is why I get this error instead a "No authorization".

Error: RWI 00223 when trying to view a Web Intelligence report in Infoview

Hi,
I have a problem when I try to view a webi report in infoview, I get the error message: "Could not get page number. (Error RWI 00223) (Error: INF)". It is possible to modify the report, and run the report from the development application.
I am using BOXI release 2, SP 5 on a windows server. Tomcat. Java 1.5.
I have tried to find an answer in the forums and have for instance tried to increase the heap size, it did not help. I have also read something about replacing jar files in the desktoplaunch folder in tomcat. Though, these files are not really covered by the ones found in ..\Business Objects\common\3.5\java\lib. So it does not feel like I can just replace them?
Do you have any other ideas?

BusinessObjects XI Release 2 is deployed in a distributed environment. Only the WCA.NET component of BusinessObjects XI Release 2 is installed on the IIS server.
When attempting to view or edit a Web Intelligence document in the Java Report Panel, a "WIJ2002" error occurs.
This error does not occur when BusinessObjects XI Release 2 is fully installed on the IIS server.
Cause
The TraceLog.dll file is not installed when only the Web Component Adapter is installed on the IIS server.
Resolution
Copy the TraceLog.dll file from a full installation of BusinessObjects XI Release 2 to the computer that has only the WCA component installed.
Background
This error occurs when the Java applet attempts to send a POST request. The IIS error log files show an HTTP 500 error with POST request type on the cdzisapi.wis file.
The detailed error message thrown by the Java applet in the browser is similar to the following:

Error when using defined object in Universe in Web Intelligence

I create universe connect from Infocube
I create a new Object named "Sale Value" to get YTD of Object name "SS Total value of the invoice lin" with code following

But when I run query and using above defined object in Web Intelligence, I get error following

Hi,
The MDX parser in the universe designer just check the XML Tags or Syntax. It does not validate the expression.
The YTD, QTD, MTD functions in the universe designer requires a reference to a predefined time chararcteristics eg. 0CALMONTH etc. So the correct expression would be similar to the below expression:
<EXPRESSION> SUM(YTD([0CALMONTH].CurrentMember), @Select(Key Figures\SS Total value of the invoice line))</EXPRESSION>
Also you need to add the time characteristics in the result set.

Database out of memory error getting Web Intelligence prompts

The following code generates an exception for a particular web intelligence report object ID:

The exception is as follows:
A database error occurred. The database error text is: The system is out of memory. Use system side cursors for large result sets: Java heap space. Result set size: 31,207, 651. JVM total memory size: 66,650,112..(WIS 10901).
I can't understand how the result set could be over 31 million, or how to fix this. Any ideas?

So what happens in InfoView?
I ask since it doesn't appear to be a SDK coding issue.

Error in Web Intelligence Rich Client Test

I am taking the SAP BusinessObjects XI 3.0/3.1: Universe Design course online. Following the steps in the exercise on creating classes and objects, I received an error when testing the objects in Web Intelligence Rich Client. I created a Client Name dimrension using the format CLIENT.CLIENT_LASTNAME + ", "+CLIENT.CLIENT_FIRSTNAME in Universe Designer. When testing I came up with an error, WIS 00011
The Object(s): Client Name contain multiple attributes. This syntax is no longer supported in this version. See your Business Objects Administrator.
I followed the instructions in the exercise. Does anyone know what I did wrong?

When you write a select statement the different columns are separated by a comma, as this:
select a, b, c from table
BusinessObjects doesn't like to see that syntax (multiple columns) in a single object, so they look for a comma. It appears that in the version you are using they have broken the parsing process, and they don't realize that your comma is inside quotes and that you're not really using multiple columns.
You can fix this by using a function to return a comma character. If you are using MS Access, that function would be Chr(). The comma character is number 44, so you could try this:
CLIENT.CLIENT_LASTNAME + " " + Chr(44) + " " +CLIENT.CLIENT_FIRSTNAME
But you should know that the syntax you have works fine most of the time.

WIS 10901 with a Web Intelligence Report based on a BW-Query

Hello together,
first the Query had just one variable in the filter for Cal. year / month and everything worked fine. This Query was copied and a second variable for the business devision was added in the filter. On this new Query a universe was created. At the WebI-report there is crosstab (a structure with actual, actual-1, actual-2, budget etc. and 15 measurements from the query) and this one works fine. But at the moment the user put a bar chart with a restricted measurement that was created in the webi-report (like =if(="Actual") then ) the following error occur:

If I run this statement at MDXTEXT in SAP BW it also works. I also restarted the SIA and checked if all WebI-Servers in the CMC are running and activated.
If I use the first Query (with just one variable) and put instead of the second variable in the second query a filter in the WebI-report it also works.
So, does anyone has an idea what's the problem and how to solve it?

Pepe - Were you able to resolve this error at your end? I have this same error appearing upon trying to 'Run query' in WEBI. Similar situation, in that there was a variable error so i took the variable out...refreshed structure, and deleted obsolete values. Everything parsed okay after that but the error appeared without variable as well.
Jacques - There are no default values on the BEx side but the error is still occuring.
Suggestion please.

BI Launch Pad - Error opening Web Intelligence Report (Error: INF)

Hi:
We're working with 4.1 Support Pack 3 Patch 1
Version: 14.1.3.1300
We migrated a Webi report from development environment to testing and it was working fine.
After making some minor changes on the Web Intelligence report, we migrated again, but now when we open the Web Intelligence report we get the following error:
Faltal Exception occured. The cause was: com.businessobjects.corba.generic.container.proxy.internal.DependencyFailoverCallbackImpl$FailoverFatalException:
Prepare failover failed (Error: INF)
Any ideas?

Hi Florencia,
It seems like report is corrupted some how.
To check report is existing in filestore or not , go to report in Launchpad->Properties->check File name , there should be frs path assigned to it.If not it is corrupted.
Ex : File Name:frs://Input/a_067/064/004/278595/auytslwhrgrdneqcvzbefs0-guid[atli.nsurgzit4q8pfgonmi].wid
If it corrupted , check in myfavourites : ~webintelligence folder , there you can find last auto saved instance.If not we may need to create new report.
