Error starting OEM 11g
I finally have (I think) successfully installed OEM 11g. Following the installation guide, I proceeded to try to execute the following command:
$ emctl status oms
But got the following error:
EM Configuration issue. /export/home/oracle/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1/mercy_emrep not found.
When I looked under /export/home/oracle/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1, I don't see any file/directory that starts with my host name (i.e. mercy). How can it be missing?
Edit: I should add that there's no "localhost" directory/file either...

It turns out I was using the wrong emctl :(
When I used the one from /export/home/oracle/Oracle/Middleware/oms11g/bin/emctl, it shows me the server is up.

SimThis is not OEM 11g.
This is Database Control, which is included in each database install as an option. You should check the documentation for starting the dbconsole application.

We have installed OEM Grid Control 11g on a Linux Suse 10 machine (which will act as a middleware/gateway machine to the database hosted on the remote machine.)
We have completed the Grid installation successfully after facing many issues related to repository.
Now we are trying to connect to the browser link, and are unable to connect it.
We have tried starting and stoping the OMS and agent severl times. but are getting the below errors:

Error starting OBIEE 11G coreapplications after loading new RPD file in EM
Hi,
After I have loaded my new RPD in EM, and restarting the BI coreapplications.
Basically the symptoms I am getting are very similar to this: https://kr.forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2129556, I have tried removing other (sampleLIte RPDs) with no luck. Not sure what else I can do. The RPD's physical layer draws data from SQL Server. Have tested the system DSN and its ok.

Using OBEE 11G in Windows 7.Its weird.
As part of my own investigation, I went to physical layer and saw my SQL Server was set wrong. I set it to 2008 the correct version.
Also my ODBC was set at 3.5, I changed this to 2.0. After doing this I saved it and reloaded it onto EM and it all worked. Just to verify that this was indeed the root cause, I reverted the settings back to original and loaded it again. It works.
Not sure in the end what was the root cause. -
OEM 11G won't start - glibc error
Had 11G OEM working just fine. After the change to daylight savings, got the message about TZ problems. Ran the emctl resetTZagent, and exec mgmt-target.set_agent_tzrgn successfully.
Now when I start OEM I get the following error:

nothing in agabend.log, emdctl.log, emoms.log. Although these had gotten huge, so I did a cat /dev/null to these files to cut them down to size. Was expecting something in there. Not sure how to debug this ?
Any ideas ?I went back over the packages for 11G running on this OS, just in case i whacked something. All of the packages are at or above required release levels, and present.
What to look at next ? This was a test box that Oracle had yet to be used, no users. I'm the only user, have only done OS package upgrades. Is my TZ value correct ? Didn't get this error until I did the TZ update stuff.

Error installing OEM 12 in Oracle Linux x86 32bit-Error Starting EMGC_OMS1
Dear all.
I've got a issue that I'm not able to figure out what's going on anymore. I'm preparing a new server to be the Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c Server. I've installed Oracle Database 11g Enterprise, 11g Grid Infrastructure, create a database (SID=oem12rep) using +ASM instance to the disks. Now I'm trying to install OEM 12c and when the installer gets 89% done, I'm stuck in Start OMS process. I don't undestand much about Weblogic but when I have a look to the logs I can see the message "Error Starting server EMGC_OMS1: weblogic.nodemanager.NMException: Exception while starting server 'EMGC_OMS1'" and then the process fails with the message "timed out waiting for EMGC_OMS1 to be RUNNING".

After a lot of searches, it was necessary a help from a Weblogic Administrator to find out what was going on with the installation process. The problem was with the memory allocation to the Weblogic VM. The process EMGC_OMS1 could not be started cos it was not possible to create a VM into SERVERADMIN.
With just my DB experience I could not find any logs besides emctl.log and that one that it's shown in OEM Installler interface. The Weblogic Administrator was browsing the HOME where the Weblogic was installed and he found logs that showed the error telling where the problem was. Even downloading the OEM 12c 32bit, it was allocated memory to the java as if it was 64bit. The solution was decreasing the values of memory and clicking in Retry. So, my OEM Cloud Control 12c it's working now.

RameshUsing the OTN2 tech preview build 4684 now available on OTN, I used the JDEVHOME/jdev/bin/start_oc4j script to startup the embedded server in standalone mode and cannot reproduce these errors.
Can you try with build 4684 from OTN and see if the same issue still reproduces?

OEM 11g login error with sys user.
I have two database in my local host. one is created with dbca and another is manually created.
i am not able to login ONLY with "sys" user in OEM 11g but i can login in sqlplus with the same user(only in database created manually ).yes m giving correct pwd as i mentioned i am bale to login with the same in sqlplus . below is the log details :

Access is deniedCould be you don't have a dbconsole service. Or it can be started, default it's started automatic. Maybe it's on disabled.
Or take a look at emctl status dbconsole
If your on W2008 try opening the dos-box as "Run as Administrator".

Hi All,
I am facing issue with OEM 11g. It was went down automatically, however i am not able to find the specific reasons. As of now it has been started.
But in want to know the reasons why it was went down. Please guide me how to troubleshoot.

Error starting weblogic Admin server
Hi All,
I am not very familiar with Fusion and weblogic but here is my situation:
Background: I am trying to install Fusion Middleware so I can integrate Oracle Transport Management with E-Business Suite (as per note Integrating Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 with Oracle BPEL in Oracle SOA Suite 11g (Doc ID 1321776.1))
I just installed the following on Oracle Enterprise Linux 64bits
- SOA Suite 11.1.1.7.0
- Weblogic Server 10.3.6
-JDK 1.7.0_25
-Jdev 11.1.1.7.0
When starting the weblogic Admin server using "DOMAIN_HOME/startWebLogic.sh' I get an error:

Unrecognized option -jrockit
Error: Could not create the Java virtual machine
I found a few thread with similar issue (for different versions of SOA suite) where it got fixed by changing some parameters in the cmd file but I am not sure they apply to my case.
Is the jdk version compatible? (I can start JDeveloper ok) , if not which one is the appropriate version. If i need to change it, can you provide details of how to do it? (I am not expert on SOA/Jdev )

--> So I guess the problem is I don't seem to have the jrockit.
I donwloaded it (Rel 28.7) and installed it. During installation it says "for JDK 1.6.0_45"
Anyway. I let it install anyway and I modified the PATH to point to the Jrockit bin directory. Then run java -version and it now shows JDK 1.6.0_45 and jvm as rockit
Now I tried to start the weblogic server and I get the same error. it still uses the JDK 1.7
So.. again.. is this supported with JDK 7 ?
How can I fix it now that I installed everything using the JDK 7?
