Error starting Workshop example server
Hi,
I am currently experiencing a problem starting the WL 7.0 example server for the
Workshop examples. This actually come with the installation of WL Platform 7.0.
I got "Corrupt Transaction @ 254177" at the DOS prompt and in the enclosed wl-domain.log
file it mentioned that it's unable to create socket for the port. I used netstat
and check that there's no conflict.
I was able to start it up many times until I started to follow the WLW tutorial
and added new project into the example domain. But recently I can no longer be
able to start the server again. I can start other servers no problem, but only
the sample server.
It sound strange that it works before but now it doesn't.
Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance,
Alex Ng
[wl-domain.log]
Well, I tested it
java -version and it shows :
1.7.0_25
Java HotSpot 64 bit Server VM
--> So I guess the problem is I don't seem to have the jrockit.
I donwloaded it (Rel 28.7) and installed it. During installation it says "for JDK 1.6.0_45"
Anyway. I let it install anyway and I modified the PATH to point to the Jrockit bin directory. Then run java -version and it now shows JDK 1.6.0_45 and jvm as rockit
Now I tried to start the weblogic server and I get the same error. it still uses the JDK 1.7
So.. again.. is this supported with JDK 7 ?
How can I fix it now that I installed everything using the JDK 7?
Thanks

Would be more helpful if you can mention, the O/S. Also, pls mention where
you are getting this error, at kjs or kxs, or, are you able to start the server
and at which specific instance do you encounter this.

Errors starting Portal Admin Server after configuring RDBMS Security Store.
Hi,
I'm using WLST to build and configure the portal domain. I've already had our DBA run all the necessary scripts on the Database.
We are using WLP 10.3 on RHEL 4 and Oracle 10G RAC. I read on some thread that RDBMS is only compatble with verion 10.3.2 but why is the feature in 10.3?
The error below seems to point to the URL; does this mean that the RDBMS config does not support RAC databases?
Hope someone can shed light on this as it's pretty urgent.
Many thanks

Secondly, both managed server are starting in ADMIN mode because some of the libraries aren't getting deployed. Think this is due to clashes in the Implementation-Version. I get the errors below (loads of the libraries - approx a third but I just pasted this for brevity) although after starting them with nodemanager and they go into ADMIN mode, I can always click on resume which then starts them up. Any idea why this is the case?
Many, many, thanks!

Error starting weblogic Admin server
Hi All,
I am not very familiar with Fusion and weblogic but here is my situation:
Background: I am trying to install Fusion Middleware so I can integrate Oracle Transport Management with E-Business Suite (as per note Integrating Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 with Oracle BPEL in Oracle SOA Suite 11g (Doc ID 1321776.1))
I just installed the following on Oracle Enterprise Linux 64bits
- SOA Suite 11.1.1.7.0
- Weblogic Server 10.3.6
-JDK 1.7.0_25
-Jdev 11.1.1.7.0
When starting the weblogic Admin server using "DOMAIN_HOME/startWebLogic.sh' I get an error:
Starting weblogic with Java version:
Unrecognized option -jrockit
Error: Could not create the Java virtual machine
I found a few thread with similar issue (for different versions of SOA suite) where it got fixed by changing some parameters in the cmd file but I am not sure they apply to my case.
Is the jdk version compatible? (I can start JDeveloper ok) , if not which one is the appropriate version. If i need to change it, can you provide details of how to do it? (I am not expert on SOA/Jdev )
Can you please help me here ?
Thanks in advance!Well, I tested it
java -version and it shows :
Thanks -
Http 401 error starting a managed server
Hi,
I'm new to wl and am setting up a managed server on wl6.0.
I read and followed the instructions in the admin guide - really!
I have an admin server running under the petstore domain,
on port 7001 and am trying to run a managed server under
"devdomain".
Below is the java command my startup script is using
to start the managed server. It is failing with a security
error (http 401). I don't see anything in the dox about an
additional userid/password control at the http level.
When I browse directly to http://webdev:7001/Bootstrap,
I get http password pop-up. The system userid and password
does not work.
What dox can I go to for help on this?

Error starting the MDM server in client system
Hi MDM Experts,
I am new to MDM and we have just installed MDM 5.5 on our system. We are able to 'Mount the Repository' via the MDM Console on the client side but when we try to 'Start MDM Server', we encounter the error below:
"Error starting MDM server: The machine (server name) is not Windows-based. The MDM server cannot be started from this application; please use CLIX on the machine instead."
What must we do to resolve this error? Please help us on this matter.
Thanks in advance!
ASPHi ASP,
MDM server operations can Be performed through Console only if your Server is Windows based.
You can perform the some repository options through Console ,but for any Server based operations like Mounting the server,Start/Stop server etc you will have to operate through the CLIX ie Command line interface.
I Guess yours is a Unix based system or something else which is not Windows based.
so it will not allow you,
Either you install your server on a windows based system to operate through Console.
Or if you want to continue with the NON windows based system then you will have to use CLIX for most of your Console opeartions.
Hope It Helped
Thanks & Regards

Check using netstat to see if that port is already in use.
Shared libraries don't need to be on the classpath, they are deployed similar to applications, so I'm confused by your comment about putting them on the classpath. I assume you're using Node Manager to start the server from the AdminConsole, if you want to use a difference classpath either use the StartupScriptEnabled=true in nodemanager.properties OR put the extra classpath entries on the Server Start tab in the console. -

If i do the exact same thing on a P4 with 512MB RAM with O9.2 and RH9, everything works like a charm.
thoughts??Check the /etc/hosts file to make sure the hostname of the server is included (not 127.0.0.1 localhost, but {for example} 192.168.8.20 mylinuxserver)

Script Error Start-WBBackup (Windows Server Backup SnapIn)
Hi, first of all, i hope that the post location will be the correct, and sorry for my english.
I had this problem with a Script, i'm new in powershell, and hope that you can helpme.
The objective of the script is make a SystemState Backup and send an Email. The fail is in the execution fo the Start-WBBackup cmd-let, the error is about the target of the backup, it says it is not valid, or something like that. Also, the error handling
is not functioning.
I let you the script, hope that you can tellme where is the error, and again, sorry for my english.
Add-PSSnapIn windows.serverbackup
$Equipo = $env:computername
#Parametros Mail
$smtp = "smtp.server"
$from = "Backup User <[email protected]>"
$to = "Alertas IT <[email protected]>"
$body = "Backup SystemState para el equipo: $Equipo"
$subject = "SystemState $Equipo"
#Definir Ubicacion
$backdir = "\\backup-server\share-name\"
$backupLocation = New-WBBackupTarget -network $backdir
$backuplog = "$backdir"+(Get-Date -f yyyyMMdd)+"_SystemState_$Equipo.log"
#Definir Politica
$policy = New-WBPolicy
Add-WBSystemState -Policy $policy
Add-WBBackupTarget -Policy $policy -Target $backupLocation
#Descomentar estas lineas para agregar carpetas/archivos
#$files=new-WBFileSpec S:\IISRoot,c:\Inetpub
#Add folders / source folders into the policy
#Add-wbFileSpec -policy $policy -filespec $files
write-host $policy
#Ejecutar Backup
$Error.Clear()
Start-WBBackup -Policy $policy | Out-File "$backuplog"
if($Error.Count -gt 0) {
$subject = "(FALLO) " + $subject
$body = $body + " ha fallado. Revisar log adjunto"}
$Result = Get-WBSummary | Select LastBackupTime,LastBackupTarget,DetailedMessage | Format-List
#Enviar Mail
$body = $body + "`r`n" + $Result
send-MailMessage -SmtpServer $smtp -From $from -To $to -Subject $subject -Body $body -Attachments $backuplog
write-host $Result
write-host "Backup Completado"
NOTE: I build this, with some sources of web, and a touch of myself...Are you sure the target path exists? I'm not having any problems with the code you've got except on Windows 2012 R2 more Policy parameters needed to be set. The only way I was able to trigger an invalid path error was if the target folder didn't
exist. A target subfolder will not be created.
I hope this post has helped! -
Error starting Oracle Application server
Hi I installed Oracle application server 10g. I successfully installed it. But when i stopped the opmn and emctl process and now when i am trying to start i am able to successfully start but when i type the URL of OAS Admin console. I get following error:
500 Internal Server Error
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/sysman/eml/app/Console at java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method) at java.lang.Class.forName(Class.java(Compiled Code)) at com.evermind[Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.2.0.2)].server.http.HttpApplication.loadServlet(HttpApplication.java:2283) at com.evermind[Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.2.0.2)].server.http.HttpApplication.findServlet(HttpApplication.java:4795) at com.evermind[Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.2.0.2)].server.http.HttpApplication.getRequestDispatcher(HttpApplication.java:2821) at com.evermind[Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.2.0.2)].server.http.HttpRequestHandler.processRequest(HttpRequestHandler.java:680) at com.evermind[Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.2.0.2)].server.http.HttpRequestHandler.run(HttpRequestHandler.java:285) at com.evermind[Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.2.0.2)].server.http.HttpRequestHandler.run(HttpRequestHandler.java:126) at com.evermind[Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (10.1.2.0.2)].util.ReleasableResourcePooledExecutor$MyWorker.run(ReleasableResourcePooledExecutor.java:192) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:568)
Can any one please help me resolve this issue at the earliest?Hi,
Now I'm just thinking with U because error 500 can be result of different reasons. I think (I'm not sure)at this situation it has to do with java version.
AIX 5.3 has java version 1.4.2. .
Would U like to go $ORACLE_HOME\jdk\jre\bin\ then just type ./java -full version or java version.
Which result U 'll get.
also type in which java
moreover can U give me the output of the env command.
the last step before U start any as process just do the following
ps -ef | grep (owner of your as)
if U 'll find any process just kill it kill -15 process id if it does not help then hard kill with -9
try to set your environement variable well then start your opmn components again per-process to see which process is going wrong.
Let me know,
Regards

NoClassDefFoundError means some error with you class files, or may be you dont have acces to the folders where the class files are.....Check if you have all the required class files.
