Error: Trying to use Photoshop automation

I am running Windows 7, 32-bit.
I tried to add a reference from Visual Studio but Photoshop was not visible. So I decided to try to register the type library manually.
I am trying to automate photoshop but I cannot get the type library registered.
The command from the photoshop directory is:
regsvr32 Typelibrary.tlb
There error I am getting is:
The module typelibrary.tlb may not be compatile with the version of windows tha tyou are running. check if the module is compatibe with an x86 (32 bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of regsvr32.exe
Any ideas?

nevermind... I had the import java.util.* only in the driver program, and not in the class...
When I put it in the class, it worked... kinda...

    Thank you for your reply.
I have tried the backup multiple times and it crashes in different places each time - it seems.
I did the select all and "ctrl W".  This did nothing.  Did you really mean "ctrl + W"?  Remember I have version 4.0.
I was able to do a successful back up onto a drive that has none of my pictures on it.  Could this be the problem?  I have an external hard drive that I have been using for my backups which have been working just fine.  I recently started storing my pictures in my catalog on this external hard drive.  Since then, I have not been able to back up to that drive.  Nor have I been able to back up to any other drive that has pictures on it.

I've just bought a Macbook Pro 15" and I'm trying to use Photoshop, but the resolution its displaying the images at for 100% are too small. I have to design for the web, so need to be intricate with detail, but I'm finding it adjusts the resolution of the image right down. (I mean you can see the image clearly, but it's too small to edit). When I look at Safari and see a web page at 100% it's clear, but the same page displayed in Photoshop CC appears 50% of the size (even though it says it's 100%)   If I move the application window to another screen it adjusts it correctly  – leaving all the pallettes, menus and tools correctly sized as they are on the retina display   Is there some way to adjust the way Photoshop CC displays images so it is more consistent with what you actually see?   There doesn't seem to be any answer on the Adobe forum, so hopefully someone here can shed some light.  MacBook Pro with Retina display, 15", OS X Yosemite (10.10.2), Photoshop CC 2014

I tested both ways. With "open in low resolution" ckecked the size of the images is cool, but it is low-resolution including Photoshop appearance.
If "open in low resolution" is unckecked the appearance is good but the very small size.
See the image below. It has 650 x 732 px, 72 dpi. The font of the text "Neste aniversário ..." is with 18pt.

I regret that you're having trouble setting up your email, corbad! You're on the right track with your incoming email address. You might also try incoming.verizon.net or incoming.yahoo.verizon.net as possible alternatives, and 995 as the port number. Please let me know how that goes!

  • Error -2147024894 when trying to use ActiveX Automation Open

    Hello,
I use the Automation Open on an ActiveX Class (which is creatable when I choose it from the list). When I do this I get the error:
Error -2147024894 occurred at The system cannot find the file specified.
Does anyone know what this error means?
    Thanks a lot,
    Laurent

    Hi Laurent,
This is usally caused by registration problems of your activeX server with Windows. This is usally done while you install a ActiveX capable application but it could fail. for more information see the attached Knowledge base. This deals with LabWindows/CVI and MS Excel but this is more a general issue.

  • I get an error trying to use Apple Address Book with Word Mail merge - says it cannot open data file?

I am running MS Word 2011, latest Mac OS, and trying to use the Mail Merge option with the Apple Address Book as the data source.
However whenever I select the Apple Address Book as the data source, I get the error "Word was unable to open the data source".
    Anybody got any idea why?
    Thanks for your help

I am guessing you could have solved this little problem already but perhaps someone else may benefit:
I struggled with the same problem - not being able to use Mac Address Book (i.e. Contacts) with Word 2013 for mac mail-merge (on Mountain Lion and, now, on Mavericks) - with the exact same error message reported by Klausngigtoas above .
So I read lots of techie stuff on forums which passed a nice few hours but didn't help. Finally, with slumped, defeated expression, I gave up.
But I just now (such is life) I accidentally stumbled upon the simple solution:
    1. Enter System Preferences and click Security & Privacy.
    2. Select the Privacy tab and then on Contacts on the left hand panel.
    3. In the right hand panel ("Allow the apps below to access your contacts") just tick the Contacts box.
    4. And Voilà! - at least it worked for me - hope it does for you.

  • Error trying to use OLTCommandLine.jar

I have an error trying to run an OLT Scenario from command line using OLTCommandLine.jar as described in Chapter 4.3.6 of the OLT Load Testing Users Guide. (OATS 12.1) If anyone has input please let me know.
I am attempting to invoke OLTCommandLine.jar on the OATS Server with the following command line:
    C:\OracleATS\jdk\bin\java.exe -jar C:\OracleATS\lib\OLTCommandLine.jar -run -scenarioFile="C:\OracleATS\OFT\Login_LOAD\Login_LOAD.scn" -session="Login_LOAD_CMD_test" -OLTServer=localhost:8088 -user=Administrator -password=XXXXX -log C:\Temp\myOLTlog.log
The error message is as follows:
Error initializing controller connection to t3://10.0.1.13:8088/Administrator\n\n(message id=ctl.initError)
Please make sure the OLT server is running!

I was able to resolve this issue.
The error message indicated a problem using the t3 protocol. The local weblogic install did not have it enabled. I was able to login to the weblogic console (http://localhost:8088/console) as user "oats" with the install password. Then I figured out that I needed to click the "Enable Tunneling" checkbox. After that the OLTCommandLine.jar started working as desired.

  • Error trying to use VHV or diff

    Hi,
I've installed SCM 9.0.4 on a 9i database. I'm trying to use it but I get the following error while trying to use RON's diff tool or VHV:
    Message
CDR-03120: Internal Error - Problem making a repository connection
    Cause
An internal Diff or Merge component has been
unable to make a repository connection.
How can I get this to work?
    thanks
    Lapolla

    Lapolla,
This is typically a problem with the entry in tnsnames.ora for the database instance. Can you check that it looks similar to:
    UKP1111.ORACLE.COM =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = ukp1111)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SID = ORCL)
The connection used by the RON is vmia sqlnet, the VHV and Diff/Merge use a jdbc connection, thus your tns entries may work for the RON and not the java tools.

  • File Access Denied Error trying to load Photoshop CS4 on Windows 7

I am trying to load Photoshop CS4 on Windows 7 64bit & I keep getting File Access Denied. I am unable to read to the disk or to load the program. I do not have the option to open as administrator.

So when you put the disk in it won't run correctly? When the disk is inserted you should have a window pop up with 2 options. 1 to install and the other to see what is on the disk. Choose to explore or open the disk. Go to the CS4 folder where the photoshop .exe file is (that will run the setup), right click on the .exe file and choose run as Admin and it should start. See if it will install. If not then read below.
I am not sure how far you got in the install before so chances are you will have to run the CS4 cleanup utility. 2 levels to run at but don't use 1 or 2 just type in the number 3.
    http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs4clean.html
You may need to run the windows installer cleanup utility too
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
Before you try to reinstall the software ensure that adobe reader is not installed. If it is remove it. It has caused issues in the past with vista and CS4 installs.
Also turn off windows Defender and any anti-virus software. You can keep UAC on in Windows 7.
During the CS4 install at 90 percent it will almost stop and may take 5 to 10 mins to finish. This is normal. What a pain huh......
    After install is finished, reboot
After reboot, go to the CS4 64 bit or 32 bit icon (depends on 32 or 64 bit Windows 7) in start area, right click on CS4 64 bit (if you have windows 7 64 bit) and choose properties, compatibility tab and then check run as Admin at the bottom area. Hit apply, ok to close out.
Now start CS4 and run the updater.

  • Error message when using Photoshop over the network

I am currently working with Apple Aperture. My library is on my computer and references files that are saved over a network on a hard drive connected to another computer. I open an image that is within Aperture having set my primary editor as Photoshop. This creates an automatic duplicate of the image within Aperture so that any changes I make in Photoshop will be a second image and will not affect the original. Normally what is supposed to happen is that once I have made my change in Photoshop, I hit Apple+S to save and then it will update within Aperture. However, when I hit to save, I get the following error message:
Could not save "file.tiff" because the file is already in use or was left open.
I know that on my computer and the other computer I connect to that is definitely not open. Not even in Finder. I tried closing Aperture and then saving and I still get the error message. I am not sure what is going on and why I can't save it. Any ideas?

    Hi,
Try to save in different location and different format not in tiff like PSD. close the photoshop and repon once and open PSD file and save as into tiff in different location.
    just try with this...
