Error UPDATE_ROW_CONFLICT with Oracle DB

Hi all,
I have a problem in UPDATE Operation with a Oracle DataBase, it works in Sun Application Server and not in Tomcat (5.5.12):
code:
try {
        RowKey[] selectedRowKeys = getTableRowGroup1().getSelectedRowKeys();
        for(int i=0; i< selectedRowKeys.length; i++){
            info("course selected"+courseinformationDataProvider.getValue("COURSECODE", selectedRowKeys));
Object course_code=courseinformationDataProvider.getValue("COURSECODE", selectedRowKeys[i]);
getSessionBean1().getCourseinformationRowSet1().setObject(1,course_code);
courseinformationDataProvider1.setValue("STATUS","T");
courseinformationDataProvider1.commitChanges();
courseinformationDataProvider1.refresh();
info("Row(s) Updated");
} catch (Exception e) {
log("Exception occurred!!", e);
error("Exception"+e);
It throws exception while i try to run in tomcat5.5.7
Exceptionjava.lang.RuntimeException: Number of conflicts while synchronizing: 1 SyncResolver.UPDATE_ROW_CONFLICT row 0 values changed in database
plz give some ideas..
Thanks in advance.....

A very similar thread. No solution there, however..

    Hello friends!, I have a problem whit UPDATE Operation with a Oracle DataBase, but it is rare because it works in "Java Sun Application Server" and not in Tomcat (5.5.12) , displaying the following error:
    "Error :Number of conflicts while synchronizing: 1 SyncResolver.UPDATE_ROW_CONFLICT row 5 values changed in database"
    part of the file log:

    Please, Some idea of why gives the error? Help!

    Hi All!
    New Info:
    System.out.println(" date created : "+ido_personsDataProvider.getValue("DATE_CREATED"));
    System.out.println(ido_personsDataProvider.getCachedRowSet().getMetaData().getColumnClassName(13));When these lines are printed in Java Sun Application Server for JSC show this:
    [#|2006-05-05T17:12:50.264-0500|INFO|sun-appserver-pe8.1_02|javax.enterprise.system.stream.out|_ThreadID=15;|

    java.sql.Timestamp|#]
    When these lines are printed in Tomcat show this:
    date created : 2006-04-24
    java.sql.Timestamp
    Why? the values of this date is different in one or another server. Problem of driver JDBC? I use driver: to ojdbc14.jar, in Tomcat for the connection to the BD Oracle. Maybe this originates error UPDATE_ROW_CONFLICT...
    Please, any idea?

    404 is resource not found so either the client making the request is using a wrong path or the resource did not successfully start at the expected path.
    You could check the server logs to see if there are errors that are causing this.

  • Few errors while working with Oracle 9i developer suite.

    I am facing a few errors working with Oracle 9i developer suite.
    1. while running forms we have to press "ctrl +F11" to execute a query.
    is there any other way of executing a query where the user can do it at a click of button or so? and similarly some way of canceling a query?
    2. how can we run parameterized reports thru a menu in forms?
    3. i had run a query which fetched around 15 records which were populated in 10 text boxes. i cud scroll down to see the records, with the keys but was not able to scroll back up. how can this be avoided or some way thru which we can scroll?
    4. can sessions be created in Oracle forms?
    5. the security feature thru menu roles is not proving efficient. can some1 suggest some way of achieving this user access control?
    hope some 1 can answer my queries soon

    1) execute query in windows is F8, yours is unix. Change the resource-file. You find them in <forms-home>. fmrweb.res is the standard. Save a copy. Copy then the fmrpcweb.res into fmrweb.res. That's all.
    2) start in the menu with an execute_trigger ('UN_MY_REPORT_CALL') a forms-level-trigger in your form. Then you can interact with your report-objects.
    3) page down + up are the keys to scroll. maybe the solution is 1)
    4) yeah, implicit with open_form (... new_session...) but what do you need ?
    5) write your own mechanism. say first, which features do you need

  • Error in installation Oracle 8.1.6 on Fedora linux

    "Symbol errorno, version GLIBC-2.0 not defined in libc.so.6 with link time reference (libzip.so)"
    Earlier I have sucessfully installed on Redhat linux 8.0 without any problems.
    Kindly help

    All the rpms mentioned in above link are already installed. the same error comes with Oracle 9i/AS also.
    I quote here the exact error message:-

  • ORA-06502: PL/SQL with Oracle XE (not with sqldeveloper)

    I have this error message with Oracle XE whereas I have no message at all with the same request if I use sqldeveloper.
    It seems that the error happens when there is too many information returned by the request. If I add a "where" to select less rows, I don't have the error anymore.
    Do you know how I can solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance for your answers.
    Richard

    The problem is happening again.
    When it happens, if I quit and I start again Oracle XE, the problem does not happen at first, but happens again after a while (the duration before the error is not always the same). If I increase the number of lines that are printed for the result of a request, I can induce the error; if I decrease the number of lines, the error is not happening.
    Here is one of the request (that request returns about 5000 rows) that cause the error, and the complete error message:

  • Petstore 1.3 with Oracle 8.1.7 on Solaris 9 - deployment error

    Hello,
    I'm trying to get Petstore 1.3 shipped with WebLogic Server 7.0 to work with Oracle
    8.1.7 on Solaris 9 with a third-party (Oracle) jdbc driver (classes12). I did
    the following:
    1) created a new connection pool with the correct Oracle database URL and driver
    class name (oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver), also user/password properties for
    the Oracle db, and the WL server selected in targets;
    2) created a database schema for Oracle based on the data in Pointbase and the
    weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar file as well as petstore_catalog_utf8.sql;
    3) created a new tx datasource pointing to the Oracle conn pool;
    4) modified the catalog component's ejb-jar.xml file's env-entry to contain CatalogOracleDAOImpl;
    5) put weblogic.jar in the classpath;
    6) used Java's dbping utility to check connection to the database via the Oracle
    driver (works fine--no network adapter error or anything related).
    I then rebuilt the ear files (build is successful), but when deploying get the
    following error:
    "Cannot deploy EJB AccountEJB from customerEjb.jar. Cannot find datasource for
    JNDI datasource-petstorePool" and says to make sure the JNDI name and deployment
    descriptors are correct (I checked the customer component's deployment descriptors
    against the tx datasources' JNDI and they match).
    What step(s) am I missing? Any suggestions on what else I need to modify would
    be very much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Beverly Claire

    Beverly:
    If you have 8.1, then you should be able to simply and easily create a
    connection pool to petstore via the console.
    The current error you encountering: "petstorePool does not exist" is
    because either:
    petstorePool is not defined or there was a failure when the pool was first
    created trying to connect to the DBMS.
    The full errror should be in the log file prior to the TXDatasource error.
    Cheers

    Hello Rob,
    Thanks for your reply. Yes, the tx datasource's JNDI name isdatasource-petstorePool.
    The server log says that "petstorePool does not exist".
    My conn pool contents:
    Name: petstorePool
    URL: jdbc:oracle:thin:@<replaced with db address>:<replaced with dbport>:<replaced
    with db SID>
    Driver Class Name: oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
    Properties: user=<replaced with username*>
    password=<replaced with password*>
    *same username and password used to set up the Petstore tables in Oracledb.

    Name: PetstoreDataSource
    JNDI: datasource-petstorePool
    Pool Name: petstorePool
    No, actually we're not evaluating in the sense of just-trying-things-out.One
    of our clients is considering an application server. They're relying on usfor
    help in choosing which would be best. As of now, we are comparing BEA WLServer
    7 and 8.1, Sun ONE Application Server 7 EE, Oracle 9i Application Server,and
    Fujitsu Interstage v5 Application Server. For cluster testing andperformance
    comparison purposes, we'd like to use the same J2EE Application across allservers,
    and the obvious choice is Petstore 1.3. One aim is to smoothly connect toan Oracle
    database. The other app servers provide setup scripts and databaseschemas for
    Petstore-with-Oracle, so db conn and deployment are not a problem at all.As for
    WL, we've been trying to get Petstore (both the version downloaded fromSun's
    Java Blueprints and the version that shipped with WL 7) to work withOracle, but
    no luck so far. It's getting a bit frustrating, given the ease with whichthings
    worked out with the other app servers.
    Yes, I've tried out Avitek MedRec for WL 8.1, and this time BEA has kindlymade
    provisions for Oracle db, so connection to Oracle is not a problem. I'mhoping
    BEA will come around to doing the same thing for Petstore, although I'mguessing
    that won't be in the near future.
    Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Bevery Claire

  • Get error while Integrating with Oracle's Enterprise User Security

    Hi,
    I am trying to create an Oracle Enterprise User integrating with OVD and MS Active Directory.
    I am following all the steps in Integrating with Oracle's Enterprise User Security.
    In the documentation section: "Configuring Oracle Virtual Directory for the Integration"
    I have applied the steps successfully until:
    Update and load the entries into the Local Store Adapters by performing the following steps:
    I have successfully extended the Oracle Virtual Directory schema with the loadOVD.ldif
    However I am getting errors in the next step: Update realmRoot.ldif to use your namespaces
    The next step states the following:
    Update realmRoot.ldif to use your namespaces, including the dn, dc, o, orclsubscriberfullname,
    and memberurl attributes in the file. If you have a DN mapping between Active Directory and
    Oracle Virtual Directory, use the DN that you see from Oracle Virtual Directory.
    The realmRoot.ldif file is located in ORACLE_VIRTUAL_DIRECTORY_HOME/eus,
    where ORACLE_VIRTUAL_DIRECTORY_HOME represents the location where Oracle Virtual Directory is installed.
    The realmRoot.ldif file contains core entries in the directory namespace that Enterprise User Security queries. The realmRoot.ldif file also contains the dynamic group that contains the registered Enterprise User Security databases to allow secured access to sensitive Enterprise User Security related attributes, like the user's Enterprise User Security hashed password attribute.
    Load your domain root information in the realmRoot.ldif file into Oracle Virtual Directory using the following command:
    ldapmodify -h Oracle_Virtual_Directory_Host –p OVD_Port -D cn=admin -w Admin_Password -v -a –f realmRoot.ldif
    When I run the ldapmodify command I get the following error:
    add dc:
    testldap
    add objectclass:
    top
    domain
    domainDNS
    adding new entry DC=testldap,DC=local
    ldap_add: Operations error
    ldap_add: additional info: LDAP Error 1 : null
    The actual realmRoot.ldif looks like this:
    # Please uncomment the following one line if you are importing this
    # LDIF file via OVD Manager or OVD Server's ldapmodify tool.
    #version: 1
    #dn: dc=com
    #dc: com

    # If your domain structure has more layers than dc=subarashii,dc=com,
    # for example, it's dc=us,dc=subarashii,dc=com, you will need to load
    # the following ldif entry/entries too.
    # Uncomment out the following, if required.
    #dn: dc=us,dc=subarashii,dc=com
    #orclversion: 90400
    #orclsubscriberfullname: us

    #objectclass:groupofuniquenames
    #objectclass:groupofurls
    #objectclass:top

    Did you ever get your questions answered about the realmRoot.ldif file? Did you manage to configure a successful integration of OVD with EUS? I am battling with trying to get Oracle Virtual Directory integrated with Enterprise User Security, but every step I take in Chapter 7 of the OVD manual fails in some way, and the instructions are often vague. I am not sure how to modify the realmRoot.ldif file. Is there any improved documentation on this? I have logged a Service Request, but not getting any help. Any resources or documentation you know of that provides better guidance would be much appreciated. I am way behind my schedule now and this is a very frustrating exercise.
    Thanks.

    [code]shared_pool_size = 90112000
    shared_pool_reserved_size = 9011200
    [/code]
    If this is the cause of the problem then how much should i increase it to? and do i need to modify the size in both files or only init<SID>.ora? Is there any SAP Note related to this problem? Thanks.
    Regards,

    Hi Vasu,
    ORA-4031... for 99%  of cases this means one thing:
    the database instance is not configured correctly.
    To proceed, do the following:
    1. get rid of init.ora (it's not used at all)
    2. make sure that the init<sid>.ora file is really used.
       If there is a spfile in the %ORACLE_HOME&/database folder
       then this will be used.
    3. With your  configured shared pool of 85MB your memory should really not be filled up - anyhow it's really too small for a SAP system!
    Thus I'd check how much memory the other sga-area members (buffer cache, large pool, streams pool, java pool...) take up.
        Remember on Windows 32 Bit, everything runs in one single process that can only allocate 2GB (or 3GB if you've set this option).
    See note:
    <a href="https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=01100107900000000342&_EVENT=REDIR&_NNUM=869006&_NLANG=E">#869006 - Composite SAP note: ORA-04031</a>
    for more on this.
    And when you're setting up parameters anyway, check note

    Thanks you in advance for your answers.Looking at the 8.1.7 doc set (the oldest available on tahiti) I get no hits when searching for 'dict_from_online_catalog'. Searching the 9.2 doc set turns up a reference. Looks like you are trying to use an option that isn't available in your version of Oracle.

  • Oracle 11g and PRO*C :  pre-compile errors only with 11g !

    Hi !
    I didn't find a forum specific to pro*c, so here i am.
    I've downloaded Oracle 11g and recompiled our applications using pro*c
    We currently precompiling without any problem our sources against Oracle 7, 8, 9, 10.
    With Oracle 11g, it doesn't work !
    every EXEC SQL followed by a command works.
    every EXEC SQL followed by a query generates the same error.
    Example :
    char *oracle_date_courante()
         static char buf[SIZE_ORADATE+1];
         EXEC SQL SELECT sysdate into :buf from DUAL;
         if(ORA_SQLERROR())
              oracle_error("sélection date courante");
              buf[0]=0;
         return buf;
    PRO*C output :
    Erreur Ó la ligne 105, colonne 2 dans le fichier src\oracle.pc
    EXEC SQL
    .1
    PLS-S-00000, SQL Statement ignored
    erreur sÚmantique Ó la ligne 105, colonne 2, fichier src\oracle.pc:
    EXEC SQL
    .1
    PCC-S-02346, PL/SQL a trouvÚ des erreurs sÚmantiques
    So, we investigated... And found that thoses errors come when we use the option sqlcheck=semantics.
    If we use an inferiour check level, it works but because we use PL/SQL keywords, pro*c prints errors and wants us to provide the 'semantics' sqlcheck level !
    So, it's a vicious circle !
    Any ideas ?
    Thanks...
    Vincent

    Adding the option common_parser=yes removes the errors !
    But brings errors linked to the PL/SQL parser such like
    CSF-S-00000, ORA-06544: PL/SQL : erreur interne, arguments : [55916], [], [], []
    1>, [], [], [], []
    1>ORA-06553: PLS-801: erreur interne [55916]
    Really vicious..and still not precompiling !
    By the way : Server is 10.2.0.1... and i guess thoses errors are normal since the common parser is not available in this version...
    So bye bye option common_parser and i'm back to my orignals errors.
