Oracle 11g and PRO*C :  pre-compile errors only with 11g !

Hi !
I didn't find a forum specific to pro*c, so here i am.
I've downloaded Oracle 11g and recompiled our applications using pro*c
We currently precompiling without any problem our sources against Oracle 7, 8, 9, 10.
With Oracle 11g, it doesn't work !
every EXEC SQL followed by a command works.
every EXEC SQL followed by a query generates the same error.
Example :
char *oracle_date_courante()
     static char buf[SIZE_ORADATE+1];
     EXEC SQL SELECT sysdate into :buf from DUAL;
     if(ORA_SQLERROR())
          oracle_error("sélection date courante");
          buf[0]=0;
     return buf;
PRO*C output :
Erreur Ó la ligne 105, colonne 2 dans le fichier src\oracle.pc
EXEC SQL
.1
PLS-S-00000, SQL Statement ignored
erreur sÚmantique Ó la ligne 105, colonne 2, fichier src\oracle.pc:
EXEC SQL
.1
PCC-S-02346, PL/SQL a trouvÚ des erreurs sÚmantiques
So, we investigated... And found that thoses errors come when we use the option sqlcheck=semantics.
If we use an inferiour check level, it works but because we use PL/SQL keywords, pro*c prints errors and wants us to provide the 'semantics' sqlcheck level !
So, it's a vicious circle !
Any ideas ?
Thanks...
Vincent

Adding the option common_parser=yes removes the errors !
But brings errors linked to the PL/SQL parser such like
CSF-S-00000, ORA-06544: PL/SQL : erreur interne, arguments : [55916], [], [], []
1>, [], [], [], []
1>ORA-06553: PLS-801: erreur interne [55916]
Really vicious..and still not precompiling !
By the way : Server is 10.2.0.1... and i guess thoses errors are normal since the common parser is not available in this version...
So bye bye option common_parser and i'm back to my orignals errors.

  • BUG: Internal compilation error, terminated with a fatal exception

    After downloading the new Oracle JDeveloper 10g production, migrating all my projects, everytime I try to make/rebuild any file or package, I get the following error:
    Internal compilation error, terminated with a fatal exception
    This happens if use either JAVAC or OJC.
    Regards,
    Yaniv Kunda

    I think the error reporting is wrong, since dbMessages.java is a translated SQLJ file, and the specified method exists in the SQLJ file around that line number - and not in the java file resulting from the translation.
    Note that line 2958, in the SQLJ file, was the simple MessageHeader.Iter messageHeaderIter; line.
    The definition of this class, is in a SQLJ file, which content is:
    package telemessage.db.impl.iterators;
    import java.sql.Timestamp;
    * Contains an iterator for viewing message headers in folder view.
    public class MessageHeader {
         #sql public static iterator Iter (

  • Error: Internal compilation error, terminated with a fatal exception

    Hello,
    I am getting the dreaded "Error: Internal compilation error, terminated with a fatal exception" build failure and cannot remedy. I've tried the various suggested fixes from previous posts regarding this compiler error. The file that the build fails on will compile with javac without errors. This error has occurred before with this same application. Restarting JDeveloper has worked in the past, but not this time.

    Try switching your project compiler from ojc to the native one and see if there is a change in the results.

  • JDev 1013 Error: Internal compilation error, terminated with a fatal except

    I've a class I compiled used in JDev 10.1.2.1.
    Now I try to compile it with JDev 10.1.3 but I get an error :
    Error: Internal compilation error, terminated with a fatal exception
    What does it means ?
    How can I solve it ?
    I tried to use both 5.0 and 1.4.2 compilers but the result is the same.

  • LMS License error only with DFM

    We are getting a license error only with DFM; we already checked the license file and its showing the DFM(2.0) license is for ever. Tried rebooting the server and restarting the DFM service/Mgr daemon.
    Anybody has any idea why this is happening?

    DFM license popup was a pre-LMS3.0 feature used by Cisco to validate "proof of purchase" of earlier product for customers who obtained an upgrade version of the newer software (LMS 2.5/2.6).
    If your original purchase was an upgrade from a previous product then you must also run the dfmValidateUpgrade.bat file located in NMSROOT\bin directory , you will need to locate the previous DFM cd and place it in the CDROM drive.
    There is also a validateupgrade executable for the RME package which requires similar validation.
    It may be possible you upgraded from a product that did not support DFM, in which case you do not have the CD and as such are not entitled through the upgrade license for that product.
    Additionaly, here are steps to reapply your license:
    Try this procedure for installing the license file.
    Be sure you have the license files from www.cisco.com/go/license using your PAK number it will generate an email with the files needed.
    Open a DOS shell and issue the command:
    > \progra~1\CSCOpx\bin\pdterm LicenseServer
    validate with
    > \progra~1\CSCOpx\bin\pdshow
    Go to \progra~1\CSCOpx\etc\license
    NOTE: You may want to back these files up before proceeding (copy *.lic to \temp or some other directory)
    Delete all *.lic files (NOTE:  QPM/LMS/CUOM***.lic file should not be copied to this directory directly. If it is there, move it to some other directory)
    Back to the dos shell and issue the command:
    > \progra~1\CSCOpx\bin\pdexec LicenseServer
    Update the QPM/LMS/CUOM**.lic file from the GUI from
    CS -> Server -> Admin ->  Licensing
    (The LMS**.lic should be in some other directory other than
    \progra~1\CSCOpx\bin\etc\licenses and must have read permission for casuser)
    Close all the browser sessions and open a new browser and launch the CiscoWorks and check for the popup message.
    Also notice LMS 2.6 and earlier products are no longer supported by the TAC.

  • I try to generate a chm file over the net and I get a compiling error message

    Hi all,
    I am trying to generate chm files over the net, and the same project when I am generating the same chm locally works fine, however when I am attempting to generate the same chm on a network location, it gives me a compiling error and aborts the generation. It is also keeping the chm file open afterwards, so I have to reboot the machine.
    It is RH7 working on a Windows XP Pro 32 bit.
    Thank you

    It is not a project issue. RoboHelp is just not designed to work that way but like a lot of things, some people can use them outside what they were designed for. However, just because some people can work that way, it does not follow everyone can.
    I've seen people with projects on a network and they say have been doing it for years so it must be OK. A while later they come back and say the problem is fixed since moving it locally.
    Sorry but it looks like you are stuck with working the way you do or getting your colleague to do it. It might be as simple as he is on a different bit of your network.

  • What is the Advantage and Disadvantage of Pre-Compiled JSP

    Hi All,
    What is the advantage and disadvantage of using pre-compiled JSP

    Pro:
    By pre-compiling your JSPs you don't need a java compiler on the server - just a jre.
    The result? No java compiler on the server means a potential security hole patched - people can't just write and deploy jsp's willy nilly on the server.
    You KNOW that all your JSPs compile before you visit them - because you have compiled them all :-). It won't fail because of a stupid spelling miskate that prevents compilation. That doesn't mean they will run without error of course...
    Con:
    Compiling the JSPs ties them to a particular server - unless you take the runtime along with them.

  • How do I add an included jsp to my project and not get a compile error?

    Hi,
    I have a project with some included jsp's however if I add them to the project, when I build I get a compile error as the jsp uses variables from the calling jsp.
    Any ideas on how to get round this.
    Thanks
    DM

    There are two main ways that I deal with this problem (yeah, it sucks, but it sort of makes sense that it happens...) (I presume you're talking static include here...)
    #1 - name the included file with an extension that JDev will not try to compile (.jspf - for JSP Fragment - is common) Then it will be compiled in with the including page, but won't gag the project compilation. Advantage - it works, and you find out at compile time if you hosed up the variable reference. Disadvantage: JDev tries really, really, really hard to keep you from naming a JSP file with an extension of .jspf I normally create the .jsp file in JDev, remove it from the project, rename the file outside of JDeveloper, then add it back to the project - pain in the butt, but it works (and you probably aren't building scads of these included files...)
    #2 - add the variable to be referenced to the pageContext implicit object as an attribute in your including page (ex, <% pageContext.setAttribute("myVar", myVar); %>), then reference that attribute in your included JSP (ex, <%= pageContext.getAttribute("myVar") %>) . It will compile fine (as the compiler has no way of knowing if the pageContext attribute actually exists, it just sees that the syntax is good and motors along merrily. Advantage: don't have to have differently named JSP files (which isn't actually a big deal). Disadvantage: You hvae to add the variable to the pageContext (and you have to always add Object derivatives, as primitives won't go into a hash) and you don't find out if you screwed the variable up until runtime (when it tries the getAttribute, which could return null if you didn't properly set it to start with) vs at compile-time w/ the direct reference.
    HTH!

    The Flash player in Firefox (and, more importantly xulrunner generally and thus in Conkeror) is unusable. I've even tried the fresh player plugin to use Google Pepper Flash in Firefox, and it's the same - it stutters/jitters. (Plays fine in Chrom{e|ium}).
    I was trying to install Lightspark and/or Gnash, but no matter which package I try from AUR, there's always a compile error.  Has anyone successfully got either/both of these installed?

    I've installed Lightspark by downgrading llvm and Gnash by building from source with a workaround.
    My workaround doesn't seem to be working for other people, though, so I won't detail it here until I figure out what's different.

    Try replacing the .dll file with the one in your WINDOWS directory. I had that problem and I copied the .dll from C:/WINDOWS/system32 to overwrite the one located in the install directory.

  • Oracle 9i and Pro*Cobol

    We are in the process of Database upgrades and a pro*cobol program which was working in HP UX 11 / Oracle 7.3.4 was not working in HP UX 11 / Oracle 9i. We are getting the following error when trying to compile it (make) -
    sh: 11139 Memory fault(coredump)
    *** Error exit code 139
    Can anybody help me with this issue.

    We are able to fix this core dump problem. There were some extra "tabs" in the program, when removed the program compiled perfect.

  • Oracle 9i and RedHat 7.1 link error on ins_plsql.mk

    I've been reading the message board and it has gotten me through most of the install. All the files install correctly but during the link phase at 62% completion I get an error on ins_plsql.mk. If I run the command manually in a terminal window I get errors on "-ldl". I tried downloading the glibc files mentioned in the 8i message board but I git the same result. Has anyone had this issue? I'm afraid that I may still have the wrong libraries and binaries for linking. Has anyone installed this successfully on RH 7.1? I know its mpt supported bt it should work.

    I'have the same error, to corect this problem
    I download binutils-2.10.0.18-1 from this location ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/7.0/en/os/i386/RedHat/RPMS/binutils-2.10.0.18-1.i386.rpm
    All the proces of installation is documented in this page http://free-zg.hinet.hr/denisk/oracle/901install_en.html
