Error When Creating BPA Server Connection in Jdeveloper
Hi,
I am trying to explore the concept of BPA Suite. I have created a BPMN process and enabled the option 'Share Blueprint with' under SOA. But when i am trying to make a BPA Server Connection in JDeveloper it is showing error like 'Connection Failed'. I am using Local Repository. Could you please help me on this issue.
Thanks,
Anju
Yes, you can choose XE at installation time for the LOCAL database in BPA (ARIS). And, since you say you do connect from BPA before trying to connect from JDev, we know the database is up.
One more thing to check is that both are the same version (10.1.3.4, hopefully).
When do you see the connection failed during the setup? It is after you select "local server"? That is, can you see your BPA database (project) show in the drop down and you get the error when you enter the BPA credentials? Or, do you get the error selecting local server in the first place? If so, you should see if you can get a Database connection from JDev to the database on XE - it may be that JDev can't find the database for some reason (proxy settings perhaps).

Got Error when creating application server connection
Hi Guys...I am using SOA 10.1.3.1.0
I got the following error when creating application server connection
In Step 1:
I selected the Connection type as Standalone OC4J 10.1.3 (Why because I use this one)
In Step 2:
In this step I gave username and password (same username and password to connect to BPEL console)to authenticate connection
In step 3:
It is asking for Hostname, RMI port and URL path. My computer name is gopal-computer. I gave this hostname. RMI port number is 23791 by default. I kept this one as it is and URL path optional I think. I did not give any thing.
In step 4:
When I hit the test connection button its giving the following error
Error while getting remote MBeanServer for url: ormi://gopal-computer:23791/default:
Error reading application-client descriptor: Error communicating with server: Connection refused: connect; nested exception is:
javax.naming.CommunicationException: Connection refused: connect [Root exception is java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect]
Please help me.
Thanks,
Gopal.....For SOA Suite connection you should choose "Oracle application server 10g 10.1.3"

Regards,
AdhiHi ,
Are you behind a proxy in Firefox or IE?
If so try to give the same proxy and the proxy avoidance IP's in JDeveloper proxy configuration.
If server couldnot be communicated from Jdev then this will be the first place i will look into .
Thanks,

Error While creating Application server connection
Hi ,
I am a newbie to SOA suite . I have installed Oracle XE Database , Oracle Jdeveloper 10.1.3.3.0.3 and Oracle SOA Suite 10g (10.1.3.1) ( file name soa_windows_x86_
101310_disk1.zip) on my windows XP machine
Now I created a "Hello World Bepel Process '" . For deploying it I was trying to create an application server connection . I am not sure that I need to install anymore things or not .
Here are the steps which happened while I was trying to make connection to application server.
1> Connection Name : Gave as "AppServerConnection1"
Connection Type as "Standalone OC4J 10g 10.1.3"
2> UserName as : oc4jadmin
Password : Gave my password
3> Hostname : localhost
RMI Port was coming as 23791 as default ( Please note that I checked opmn folder and tried to use the RMI from the xml file too)
4> While testing I was getting error as "For input string: "23791home"
Not sure if i need to install anything ( Probably Application Server ) more .
Please let me know what I need to do and if i need to install anything else where will I find the file ?
Thanks in advanceHi,
Connection Type as "Standalone OC4J 10g 10.1.3"
When choosing the connection you need to select the connection as Oracle Application Server 10.1.3 not Standalone OC4J 10g 10.1.3 -

Error reading application-client descriptor: Error communicating with server: Disconnected; nested exception is:
javax.naming.CommunicationException: Disconnected [Root exception is java.io.EOFException: Disconnected]"
Thanks!Did you get any solution?

Getting Error while creating Integration server Connection ...PLS help me
Hi everybody,
While creating the Integration server connection I am getting the below error.
Please help me to solve it.
I am using 10.1.3.1 .
Application Server: OK
BPEL Process Manager Server: FAILED
ESB Server: FAILED
Thanks in advance.
RamanaNow i can able to login to my weblogic admin console and find that listen address is blank i have given the listen address as localhost now i can able to create the application server connection successfully ...Listen address blank means your server will accept connections on all network addresses i.e. on localhost, on 127.0.0.1 and on IP/Host name of machine
If you want to access this server from a remote machine as well, then better keep the listen address field as blank OR assign the value of hostname/IP of machine as listen address. In case you set listen address as hostname/IP of machine, server will not listen anymore to localhost or 127.0.0.1
1)Now iam working in local machine so that i am giving localhost .... In case i doing some bpel work in my local machine and after completing the work if want to move to my server ...do i want to change the connectionand give my server hostname ha?If your BPEL server is a remote server then better create a new connection for that (using listen address and port of that server)
How to see errors in Admin server log C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\Soa_base_domain\servers\AdminServer\logs ...is it i want to check it here?Yes, you need to check the logs in this directory in file AdminServer.log
How to check this?Under $Domain_Home/bin (C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\Soa_base_domain\bin), there will be a file setSOADomainEnv.cmd. If you open this file using notepad, you would see a setting like below -
set DEFAULT_MEM_ARGS=-Xms512m -Xmx768mThis setting defines the heap memory.

Security Error when creating new db connection
I have a SQLJ class that creates an explicit connection to the database using the following line of code:
DefaultContext ctx1 = Oracle.getConnection("jdbc:oracle:thin:@machine_name:1526:sid", userName, password);
This code works fine when run from the command line, but when the class is loaded into the database and run from inside the database, I get the following error message on the above line:
java.security.AccessControlException: the Permission (java.net.SocketPermission machine_name resolve) has not been grant
ed by dbms_java.grant_permission to SchemaProtectionDomain(userid|PolicyTableProxy(userid))
I am unable to find any information on this error or on the dbms_java.grant_permission package. Any ideas would appreciated.
Richard.
nullI believe you get something like a 30-day full-functioning "trial" from the licensed install discs before you're locked out, if you don't activate over the Internet. It used to be a more manual process, but with CS4, it's done during install as long as you do have a live Internet connection. Again, from the information, it's hard to tell what's actually happening (ie. what's the message box that appears say?), but you could try plugging into the Internet and then going to Help > Activate from any of the suite apps.

Error when creating a FDM application on SQL Server 2005
Hi,
we are getting this error when creating a FDM application on SQL Server 2005
Error: EPMCSS-07003: Failed to validate identity. Invalid identity . Check identity.[SET_ROLES_LIST]
We are using Windows System Integration although we have also tested with sa user.
Any ideas?
ThanksBased on the error message it appears to be having a Shared Services issue. Verify that the "ADMIN" account is being used for the HSS connection and that you are using "ADMIN" to create the application and see if the same error is returned.

"Unauthorized Host" error when you try to connect to the admin server
<p>
If you see this error message when you try to connect to a Netscape
administration server:<P>
Internal Error
The administration server was unable to fulfill your request.
Reason: Unauthorized host
--------------------------<P>
Here is how to solve the problem and gain access. First you should
temporarily open access to all sites, and then once you make sure that
this lets you get into your administration server, try again to set up
the domain name or IP address access restrictions you want.<P>
For all 2.x/3.x Netscape servers on Windows NT and Unix, or for Commerce and
Communications servers (1.x) on Unix:<P>

<LI>Open the "ns-admin.conf" file with a text editor. You can
find this file in the "admserv" directory under your Netscape
server root. The directory is named "admin-serv" in 3.x servers.<P>
<LI>Delete the "Hosts" and "Addresses" lines you see there (either one
of them might not be present). Don't confuse the "Addresses" line,
which you should delete, with the "Address" line, which you should NOT
delete.<P>
<LI>Save the file, then restart your administration server (on Unix run
"stop-admin" then "start-admin"; on Windows NT go into the Services
control panel and stop/start the "Netscape Admin Server" service).<P>
</OL><P>
For Commerce Server or Communications Server (1.x) on Windows NT:<P>
<OL>
<LI>Go into the registry editor. On Windows NT 4.0, run the command
"regedit". On Windows 3.51, run the command

delete.<P>
<LI>Close the registry editor, then restart your administration server
by going into the Services control panel and stopping then starting the
"Netscape Administration" service.<P>
</OL>
Now try again to access your administration server. Remember, the URL
will be something like "http://servername:12345/", where
"12345" is where the administration server's port number goes.<P>
If you still get the same "Unauthorized host" error, then make sure that
your "ns-admin.conf" file really doesn't contain any "Hosts" or
"Addresses" lines any more, and try stopping your administration server
again then starting it back up.<P>
Once you have access to your administration server, you can try again to
set up the access controls you want.<P>
<UL>
<LI>For the administration server on a 3.x server installation, select
"Admin Preferences" from the General Administration page (the first page
you see when you connect to the admin server), then click on "Superuser Access
Control" and enter hostname and IP address restrictions. If you want
allow access to multiple clients, you'll have to use wildcard patterns
(separate the subsrings with a pipe character, like
"(host1|host2|host3)"); the substrings must be enclosed in parentheses, as shown.
If you're setting up hostname restrictions, you'll need to make sure that
your DNS can resolve those hostnames -- it's generally safer to stick

"(host1|host2|host3)"); the substrings must be enclosed in parentheses, as shown.
If you're setting up hostname restrictions, you'll need to make sure that
your DNS can resolve those hostnames -- it's generally safer to stick

If you still find yourself getting an "Unauthorized host" error message,
you can use the above steps to open up access and try different
settings.<P>"Unauthorized Host" error when you try to connect to the admin server
<p>
<OL>
<OL>
<LI>Go into the registry editor. On Windows NT 4.0, run the command
"regedit". On Windows 3.51, run the command
"regedt32".<P>
<LI>Navigate down to the section
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Netscape\Administration".<P>
<LI>Delete the "Hosts" and "Addresses" entries you see there (either one
of them might not be present). Don't confuse the "Addresses" entry,
which you should delete, with the "Address" entry, which you should NOT
delete.<P>
<LI>Close the registry editor, then restart your administration server
by going into the Services control panel and stopping then starting the
"Netscape Administration" service.<P>
</OL>
<UL>
<LI>For the administration server on a 3.x server installation, select
"Admin Preferences" from the General Administration page (the first page
you see when you connect to the admin server), then click on "Superuser Access
Control" and enter hostname and IP address restrictions. If you want
allow access to multiple clients, you'll have to use wildcard patterns

sathyaHi Sathya
The following line in your log tells you what is wrong:
ORA-01654: unable to extend index SAPSR3DB.SYS_C004057 by 128 in tablespace PSAPSR3DB
This is a configuration that you or the dba people need to do. The first thing I would check is if autoextend is on/off on your tablespace PSAPSR3DB. If it's 'off' you either need to put it to 'on' or manually extend the size of your tablespace depending on how much harddrvive space you have to play with. Here is a more detailed solution on how to do it:
Oracle Error : ORA-01654: unable to extend index string.string by string in tablespace string
Cause: Failed to allocate an extent of the required number of blocks for an index segment in the tablespace indicated.
Action: Use ALTER TABLESPACE ADD DATAFILE statement to add one or more files to the tablespace indicated.
