Please try converting the standadrd-delivered scenario RPT0, then check
out the things.
Also problem may be that your function code names contain
the character '&'. This causes a problem when the selected function
code is passed to the ITS-WebGUI as a URL parameter. Please use only
standard characters (A..Z and _) when you define a function code.
Then it should work.

CALL FUNCTION IN BACKGROUND TASK allows no IMPORTING parameters, so that your code will produce a syntax error.
The calling program can only handle errors of remote function calls (RFC) if these are either
- synchronous RFC (that is CALL FUNCTION ... DESTINATION ...) or
- asynchronous RFC (that is CALL FUNCTION STARTING NEW TASK ... DESTINATION ...).
Both synchronous and asynchronous RFC allow the capturing of errors by means of exceptions. But that is a different topic.

NO Authorization error when accessing Functional module RH_CUT_OBJECT

Hi,
I am getting NO AUTHORIZATIOn error when I am executing SE37-->FUNCTIONAL OBJECT-RH_CUT_OBJECT.
I also checked SU53 screenshot which says AUTHORIZATION CHECK SUCCESSFUL and there are no errors or missing authorizations highlighted in SU53.
I switched on the TRACE-ST01 then also the error is not captured.
I would like to know WHY am I getting NO AUTHORIZATION error.
I am already having access to T-CODE SE37, SE11, SE80, SMARTFORMS and authorization object S_DEVELOP.
I need to know this ASAP on why I am getting NO AUTHORIZATION error when I am trying to access the FUNCTIONAL MODULE RH_CUT_OBJECT whereas I am having all the required authorization required for ABAP Developer including SE37.
Is it something I need change at ABAP code level.
Please advise ASAP.

The reason is ..You do not have acess to see/acess the data this FM is trying to acess ...Debug the function module keep a breakpoint at The Raise statement see which authorization you do not have ....BTW this is my guess you are trying to demilit certain objects /infotypes using this FM and delimit basically makes that object non-usable in that system .So it is quite evident that every one will not have authorization for that .Please post in detail that what is it that you are trying to achieve using this function module .....
Also you can check with debugging which authority object is being checked before raising the message and can ask security team to get that added to your profile ....

RAR: Error when uploading function permission rule file

when I try to upload my own rule files in AC 5.3 SP 15, I receive the following error in the function permission file:
For input string "OR"
That's all of the message i GET. Unfortunately I wasn't able to locate where this error could be. The file looks just fine to me.
Any ideas ?

It's like the credential were bad but i'm sure that they are correct.

I was able to successfully run both the autotype and clientgen Ant task, on the
WSDL you provided. The code behind those Ant tasks are pretty much what the WebLogic
Web Services test page run. Are you using WLS 8.1 SP2? If not, you might want
to try with that version.

ORA-06502 Error When Calling Function

Hi,
We have upgraded Oracle Database Server 9i to 11.1.0.7 and we are now using ODP.NET version 2.112.2.0 instead of 9.2.0.4 dll.
After the migration, we encountered ORA-06502 problem when we are calling a function from .NET application. We investigated and found that we have to set the parameter size for the return value parameter (varchar2). But there is a strange case that how do we guess the return value size, it can be 5 characters or 5.000 characters. Before 11g Oracle.DataAccess, we do not have that such problem. We were setting the parameter size 225 by default, but ODP.NET was returning 500 characters without any error.
The question is that how do we guess or know the actual parameter size when we are passing a Return Value parameter to the function?
Or is there a solution for this behaviour of ODP.NET?

Error when running function

I'm using Oracle XE Beta 1.
I can create and deploy .NET stored procedures without any errors or warnings.
But when I run the function from ODT I get the following errors:

The code that I used for my stored procedure I borrowed from a webcast and it compiled and deployed just fine.

The return and parameter datatypes that I specified in the deployment wizard are both BINARY_INTEGER. So I don't see why I am getting this error.

There's a bug where if you have .NET 2.0 installed on the same machine as the database you will get this error. If that is the case, you'll need to uninstall .NET 2.0 on that machine until the next release of XE comes out.
(This will also affect Oracle Standard and Enterprise on windows)

Please keep in mind that pressing 'Save' and then 'Run' without using the script in a workflow is sometimes not a valid test. As the scripting generally created inside of FDM needs to be part of a workflow and certain variables/functions are passed when that workflow is executed as a whole.

Business Rules Error when Decision Function surfaced as WebService in BPM

To use a BusinessRule as from a Business Rules activity,it needs to be surfaced as a WebService.
I've run into an issue where as soon as I check that box and save, the BusinessRule in question goes into a error mode when viewed from the BPM Project Manager (which is why this question is posted here).
The scenario is this:
My types are defiend in XSD. There is a SimpleType - FooStepTypeType - which is a retricted xs:string, the common way top create an enumeration. I import this as an XML fact, it creates a Enum bucketset, which is perfect. I create a decision function - DecisionFunction1 - which has an input parameter of this type and a boolean output. I set up a simple decision table to use the input and assert the output. The editor is happy.
At this point, I can't use the DF in my process, as it's not exposed a service, and won't be selectable via the the Properties/Implementation of a Business Rules activity.
A soon as I mark the DF as a WebService and save it, an the rule disappears from the Rules section of the Business Catalog and reappears at the root of the catalog in error. In some cases it can't be edited.
Hovering over the error file produced this error message:
The argument ‘step’ of decision function ‘DecisionFunction1’ could not build because of ‘BPM-71517: Unable to identify the parameter QName. Cause: ‘FooStepTypeType. Action: Make sure that the decision function parameter is of XML type and exactly one XML Schema Element exists that represents the parameter’.
My XSD previously did not contain a freestanding element of this type, but had elements defined in another complex type of this type. Adding a freestanding element didn't change anything. In fact it seems that elements are not avaialble to be imported as XMLFacts, only types.
At this point, if the Rules editor is still open, the DF can be "unserviced" and after saving may be recoverable with a JDev restart. If not, manually removing the DF from the .rules xml file can help recover the file so that it can be edited again.
SO: THE QUESTIONS.
Why can't I use a simpleType as an input parameter for a DF exposed as a WebService? What is BPM-71517 asking me to do exactly? I can't find any references to it via searching. Why does eveything seem fine until I expose it?
Addendum - using JDev 11.1.1.4.0 with BPM tools 11.1.1.4.0.5682
Addendum2 - upgraded to 11.1.1.5.0 and the problem is still there.....

Further invesitgation bears this problem out.
Oracle support recommend wrapping the SimpleType in a ComplexType. This does work, but now I have an extra wrapper element to deal with. I either have to use the wrapped type in my other complex, composed Types and/or add an external wrapping element when trying to create Business Services in BPM to call the BusinessRules I've created.
This is a bit messy.
To be clear, this does not seem to be an issue with Business Rules; the BR editor and generation of Facts (including simple restricted types -> JAXB 2.0/Java Enumerations) seems to work correctly. There seems to be an issue exposing DFs as Services. The code which generated the WSDL and its supporting types seems to choke on restricted SimpleTypes.
As a side note, it seems that HumanTasks have a similar limitation

Soapfaultcode:1 Error when consuming webservice through abap proxy class

Hi All,
I am facing a issue executing a proxy class created by consuming web service.
I have consumed a web service which queries data from oracle server to process them in SAP.We have created a Proxy class and did the following configurations:
1) Created a logical port using SOAMANAGER
2) In SICF t-code we have selected No proxy setting for local server.
But when we execute the proxy class it gives an error as "SoapFaultCode:1'.

Error when Dragging Function onto SAPProxy work area

When I drag a function from the Server Explorer in VisualStudio 2003 onto the SAPProxy work area I get the following Error Massage:
INFO: using logging implementation "AII Logging"
Exception in thread "main" com.sap.aii.upload.api.LoginException$WrongPassword: Invalid user/password combination.......
CAn anyone please help me as I dont know which username/password is being used?
The username/password supplied for the SAPapp server is Server explorer is correct otherwise I would not get the list of Business Objects and Functions from the server

Runtime error when testing function module 'RSWR_RFC_SERVICE_TEST'

Hi,
I'am integrating BIW 3.5 with EP 6.0 according to the report 'RSPOR_SETUP'.I've carried all the steps,but an error on step 12 : system failure during call of function module 'RSWR_RFC_SERVICE_TEST' is there .When I test the connection with function module 'RSWR_RFC_SERVICE_TEST', a runtime error is coming i.e. "<--Localization failed: ResourceBundle='com.sap.engine.services.rfcengine.RFCR'.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Hi Manoj,
From this I can understand that a critical resource is missing which is required to start the RFC service in Reporting Services Web Runtime. This might be because of incomplete patch deployment. Deploy all the required software component archives related to com.sap.engine.services component and then retry this... I think this should solve the issue.
