We are migrating from 32 bit to x64 bit machines. SQL 2005 database on windows 2003.
I am trying to install E 4.7-200 SR1 on the clustered nodes. The installation manuals for 4.7 are very old and there is nothing for SQL2005 installation.
Now that some how we were able to have SQL up and running in clustered environment (It only took 10 days), After installing CI, I am not able to deploy the database and database creation phase is failing with the following error:

I am heavily relying on our server managment team on clustering and hoping they have done a good job, However I need some guidelines which can help me in verifying what they have done is correct and meets SAP and SQL requirments and issues we are facing is actually install problems not cluster.
SAP install manuals are not detailed in this regards. Also manuals are out dataed and they only show the sql 2000 clustering pre-requisit for 4.7 installls.
Can any one with clustering experience please help.
Calling out NPC, As his sql installation and upgrade manual has helped me with stand alone installs, Hoping he has some thing for clustering as well.

What installation CD/DVD are you using?

In special the last note say at the end:
"3. You must use the 51031444 CD to install Enterprise 4.7 on an x64 platform with SQL Server 2005. This CD installs the central instances and database instances. To convert the A and B nodes in MSCS, use the SAP NetWeaver 04 SR1 installation master CD or DVD."

What can be the cause of Web ADI error : Cannot execute SQL statement?

I created a custom integrator in r12.2.3 and while loading I encountered an error, Cannot execute SQL statement.
I checked my setup in Interface attribute , the RUN_ID column has a default type SQL QUERY with a default value SELECT XXCONV_EAM_ASSET_NUM_S.NEXTVAL FROM DUAL.
If I have a right setup here, what can be the cause of this error?

Errors when executing DDL statements against MaxDB

Hi guys,
We are experiencing problems with DDL execution against MaxDB. I have installed version 7.8.00.17 on my 32-bit Windows XP XP3 machine. I got the following errors:
1. MaxDB complained that the "VARCHAR(8008)" data type has invalid length.
2. When fixing this, I got the problem, that a unique constraint has too long name.
3. After shortening this name, now I get the following:

All these DDL statements, are generated as part of a rake task execution (we are testing a simple Rails application, that uses persistence), and they execute fine on MySQL for instance. But on MaxDB it seems that there are more severe limitations about name lengths, data types, etc.
Could you please advice about this problem ?

Hmm... what's wrong with the internet on your side, that you don't have access to the MaxDB documentation?
ad 1. You are using a UNICODE varchar, aren't you? check [here|http://maxdb.sap.com/doc/7_7/45/33337d9faf2b34e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm] why it fails.
ad 2. Unique constraints don't get names in MaxDB [see here|http://maxdb.sap.com/doc/7_7/45/50fa4272c31796e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm]
ad 3. You're simply using the wrong DDL format. "PRIMARY_KEY" is not even a MaxDB keyword.
I'm pretty sure you'll find the correct syntax for primary key definition yourself, by simply browsing the documentation, so I leave this to you now.

ORA-20000 error when executing background jobs in BI System

We newly installed NW2004s System. Few BI related background jobs are showing Error no: 4 or Error no: 3 in SM50. Also few BI related background jobs are giving error "ORA-20000 occurred when executing SQL statement (parse error offset=0)". Please let me know what does Error 4 or 3 mean in SM50 and how to resolve Ora-20000 error?

Try this:
delete party_note
where rowid not in (select max(rowid)

And when that's completed, consider ALTERing the table to add a unique index (or even a primary key) so you'll never need to do this again.

Error when executing statement for table/stored proc

 I am getting this error when executing IDOC to JDBC (Stored Procedure) Scenario.
 In my stored procedure I have three insert statements to insert rows in to 3 tables.
 This stored procedure is working fine for two insert statements i.e,
 For this I have created data type for stored procedure with 10 elements and executed the scenario and was successfully running.
 when I added 3rd insert statement to stored procedure ie., when i added 5 more elements to the datatype (totally 15 elements) it starts giving the bellow error in Message Monitoring.
Exception caught by adapter framework: Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'COGRP_TMP_PROC_1' (structure 'Statements'): java.sql.SQLException: General error
Delivery of the message to the application using connection JDBC_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc.  Note:- I have run the stored procedure with three insert statements in Sql Server, and also by calling an external program also, and was working fine.
 Note : Is there any structure needs to be follow when working with IDOC to Stored procedure.
I am struck up with the error, can any body resolve this issue.

Hi narasimha,
 This seems to be any error due to incorrect query formation.In your receiver jdbc channel set the parameter logSQLstatement = true.you can find this parameter in the advanced mode. Using this parameter you will be able to see the sql query which is generated at runtime in the audit log in RWB.

I want to INSERT data from R/3 System to AS400 via JDBC adapter into a DB2 database. The interfaces from R/3 are Ok. but i have some problems to use the JDBC in DB2 Systems. The message in comunitation channel is:
" Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'SPE106TST' (structure 'STATEMENT'): java.sql.SQLException: SPE106TST de SADMT1 no válido para la operación."
in the SXMB_MONI -> Request Message Mapping payloads this:
The connection to the database is fine, Sender adapter with a SELECT * works perfect.
Please Can anyone help me solve this problem? I'm lost.

This error occurs when the receiver side structure is incorrect.
Your structure seems to be correct.
Please use lower case for action, access and table.
Please check whether the field names are exactly the same as in the actual Database table sadmt1.SPE106TST.
Check if the table has permissions to write.
You can try an alternate structure without using table tag.

Hi Sean,
It is saying error executing SQL statement, but with no "ORA error" so maybe its a Jasper Reports error i'm not too sure.
And this is a different version of the one we done together, that one is running fine just having problems putting the jasper file on to the server. I'm just using the main bits from the original SQL.

But few messages are giving following error in XI-_SXMB_MONI
Can any one guide me what is the cause of error? I check whole Idoc data I am not able to see bad character? can any once guide me what are the bad character in XML to post data in oracle? so that i can search in XML and how to avoide this error.

MDM Database command execution error. A SQL statement failed to execute

Hi,
When we tried to execute an MDM Java query modify/create, we get the following dump.
Is this anything to do with the parameters that we pass or is it something to do with the database ?
We have checked the code and we do not find anything wrong with the code at all.
We are using Java API 5.5.63.73 and calling MDM API's using WebDynpro for Java.
I have noticed this issue has been raised here as well :

Hi Subramanian ,
The error looks more like a problem with the data base or MDM system rather than the java code.
Which is the underlying database you are using with MDM? As some users have faced some difficulties when working with the DB2 Data base,If this is the data base you too are working upon then may be the issue could be similar,if possible try using the Oracle or SQL data base as these databse show more compatibility than a DB2 when working with MDM .
Also check the MDM users autorization and authentication to modifyor create recordrs in MDM.try given the user the ADMIN rights,and tehn try and see if teh user is able to modify/Create the mdm records.
Lastly you can check the database instance and listener configuration correctly.try restarting the Database service form the system if possible.

How to get error's field name when execute sql error

I want to get the error's field name when execute sql error,but SQLException is not provide corresponding function to get it.
How can I do for it?

I believe the "unique constraint" error message displays the name of the constraint, not the column name, as you have posted.
As far as I know, the only way to extract the column(s) would be to query the data dictionary using the constraint name provided in the error message.
Also, as far as I know, there is nothing in the JDBC API that can return the names of the columns associated with a given unique constraint.
