Error when reopen USB connection without physical unplugging USB connection

Using Labview 8.5 to communicate with an USB device based on AT91SAM7S64 controller.
I has written a labview application that talks to several units and it works good as long as i dont close the USB connection
I wants the application to start talking to all USB devices that are already connected, at the moment i must reconnect all USB connection every time I start the Vi.
If a try to reopen a closed USB connection I got an timeout error when I read data from the device
to illustrate the problem I made a dummy test program. (Added as Attachment as jpg and vi)
Senario 1:
If i plug the USB connector into the computer and start the vi the first sequence works fine.
The second sequence fails.
Senario 2:
If i plug the USB connector into the computer and start the vi the first sequence works fine.
If i unplug and plug the USB connector between teh two sequences both works fine
Senario 3
If I remove the VISA close from the first sequence.
If i plug the USB connector into the computer and start the vi the first sequence works fine.
both sequences works fine without needing to unplug the USB connector.
Questions?
Does the VISA close command send a message to the USB device? can this be the reason for the need to replug the connection?
Does it exist a method to reopen a USB connection that has been closed?
All help is good help :-)

Hi Again,
I have tried to recreate the issue when using multiple runs of the same program but this time I have been unable to.  Mine does manage to find the device again.
I have had a word with a few people and they have proposed a solution that would involve writing the references to the registry or a configuration file.  They suggest:
First Run: The program will look to the registery/file to try and find the references.  It wont find any so it will open the VISA references and write them to the registry. This should not close the references at the end of execution.
Run n : The program will look to the registry/file and find the references and use these for VISA operations.
First Run after Reboot: The program will look to the registry/file and find the references but will find that they are invalid so it will open new references and write these to registry for subsequent runs.
Functions for writing to the registry are under connectivity>>windows registry access VIs and have all the usual LabVIEW help files associated with them.
I hope this helps! let me know how it goes.

  • ORA-12546 When connecting without specifying sid in connect string

    I am currently having a difficult time connecting to an Oracle 9.2.0.4 database running on Red Hat Linux.
    I can successfully connect to this database with sqlplus as oracle whether a sid name is included in the connect string or not. I can also successfully connect to the instance through jdbc with jsp pages. However when I try to connect as root without specifying the sid I get an ORA-12546 TNS: Permission denied. I also receive this error when attempting to connect to the instance through php scripts. Note that root can connect through sqlplus with no problem as long as the sid is included in the connect string. Also note that the oracle user can connect either way.
    I turned on tracing and found that this error is occurring before it even gets to the listener as no log or trace entries are generated when the error occurs.
    Does anyone have any ideas?

    did you set the parameter TWO_TASK ?

  • Error when trying to install oracle client (can't connect to X11 error)

    Hi guys,
    I need help to install Oracle Client 10g. I am quite a novice so I am totally hopeless when it comes to difficult or linux-kind-of-terms.
    I can't use GUI at all, so everything got to be done through putty.exe
    my local pc (where the putty is, IP 192.168.8.194) -> linux red hat 4 IP 192.168.8.31 (where the oracle client should be!)
    when I run the runIntaller I receieved error mentioning about DISPLAY variable haven't set yet.
    I did set it trhough putty as follow
    DISPLAY=192.168.8.194:0.0
    export DISPLAY
    no luck...I still hit an error that eventho this time the error is like below;
    =============================================================================
    Can't connect to X11 window server using '192.168.8.194:0.0' as the value of the DISPLAY variable.
    192.168.8.194:0.0
    192.168.8.194:0.0
    OUI-10025:Unable to start an interactive install session because of the following error:Can't connect to X11 window server using '192.168.8.194:0.0' as the value of the DISPLAY variable. The DISPLAY environment variable should be set to <hostname or IP address>:<screen>, where the <screen> is usually '0.0'.
    - Make sure that client users are authorized to connect to the X Server.
    OUI-10027:To enable client users to access the X Server, open an xterm, dtterm or xconsole as the user that started the session and type the following command:
    % xhost +
    To test that the DISPLAY environment variable is set correctly, run a X11 based program that comes with the native operating system such as 'xclock':
    % <full path to xclock... see below>
    If you are not able to run xclock successfully, please refer to your PC-X Server or OS vendor for further assistance.
    Typical path for 'xclock': '/usr/X11R6/bin/xclock'
    ==============================================================================
    When I run the xclock using GUI I can see it pop up on my screen, but when I run xclock trhough putty, I see that it just went blank...is that right because I am using putty or what?
    Can you guys please help? Everyone that had this problem like find the solution real easy...I just so frustrated because this setting is just not working, and I have no idea what to check. Do I need extra library or something to install this?
    Please remember that I can use GUI in my test server but I can't use any GUI at all when I am implementing this.
    Thanks thanks thanks.
    Daniel -

    Hi-
    You are right. putty is just a simple console without X11 in it. how come it didn't even cross my mind?
    Thanks for the reply. I solved it by using third party software called xdeep, from what I got from internet looks like this and the software you were talking about hold the same purpose. This xdeep is pretty easy to configure and in just few seconds I can launch the installer! Gee...!
    For those guys that having the same problem as me then find xdeep software from google and browse on the configure webpage. I found a step by step configuration setting from the internet too and it's real easy.

  • Error when trying to extend range using an Extreme connecting to a Express

    Ok,
    My cable modem is connected just fine to my AE. I can run iTunes (which is nice!) off of it, connect to the internet off of my MBP and all. I just bought a AEBS to be able to EXTEND the range of my connection for all of my small townhome. However, when I go to through the Airport Setup Assistant to try and set it up, it keeps coming back with an error that says "Error Setting up WDS" or something like that. I've tried this multiple times. I've tried resetting both the AE and the AEBS...still doesn't work. Any clue?
    Thanks,
    Ryan

    It sounds like you have an older "b/g" Airport Express (AX) and you have configured the device to "join" your wireless network. When the "b/g" AX is configured this way, the ethernet port is not active.
    Follow the instructions to setup a WDS arrangement with both of your AX devices. One must be configured as a WDS "main" and the other as a WDS "remote".
    Apple's step by step instructions to do this are found on pages 42-44 in the Designing AirPort Networks Guide
    If both of your AX devices are newer 802.11"n" devices, you can use a different type of setup. Post back to confirm if that is the case.

  • Error when run the transaction ES55 or ES56 of Connection Object

    Dear Expert,
    I like to say that our organzation is going to SAP 4.7 to 6.0. All the basis activity has been comlpleted & now its testing time.
    I was faced the problem when create connection for Business partner. Actually when I write the t-code ES55 for creation of coonection Object in SAP menu path & press enter then show the error "system settings for the alternative labeling of functional locations have not been maintained in Customizing."
    So I have activate the funclocation location alternative labelling. after that again run the T-Code es55 this time show the error "An alternative indicator is active in Customizing of the functional location. This functionality is not supported for connection objects and device locations"
    Please suggest me how we customized the conection object 7 how will resolve the error.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Deepak

    Hello Deepak,
    please read note 964931:
    These alternative labeling systems are not provided with the standard
    product for the IS-U connection object and device location.
    If you want to use alternative labeling systems for the IS-U connection
    object and device location, SAP recommends a remote consulting.

  • Error when access EP - Dispatcher running but no server connected- details

    Hi every body:
    I have problem when I try to access SAP EP with URL: http://192.168.122.82:50000/irj/portal
    I tried to activate the debug remote, I access on configTool and on the section of process node I activate the options of debugabble, enable debugable , restricted load balancing.
    Then I apply the changes and restart the services and my SAP EP didn't run. I try to deploy my app on NWDS and the it can't connect with vm and check whether the SAP J2EE Engine is up and running.
    All the services are running.
    Then I try to revert the configuration of debug to try deactivate the options, apply and restart the services but my SAP EP get the error:
    SAP WebAS Engine is starting...
    If this state does not change within a few minutes,
    please contact your system administrator.
    Check the recommendations in SAP Notes: 943498, 764417
    Message: Dispatcher running but no server connected!
    Details: No details available
    All the services are running.
    I post this on the thread, where I post some details
    SAP EP Error: Dispatcher running but no server connected!
    But I find a detail on dev_serv0.log
    And I saw a difference on this attribute:
    On SAP EP DEV
    DLoadBalanceRestricted=yes
    Djstartup.debuggable=no
    And SAP EP QAS
    DLoadBalanceRestricted=no
    Djstartup.debuggable=no
    And I check the configuration on SAP EP DEV and the checks of debug and restricted load balance are inactive
    I think that this atribute no change, how can I change this attribute. ???

    Hi Jesus,
    Please check the service  in SAP MMC are running or not. if not running, then you need to check the log file to identify the root cuase of the issue. If it is running fine then update the host and ip address in the host file and acces the portal with fully qualified domain name (fqdn) like http://<host>:<port>/
    Best Regards

  • Error when starting WD-Application without active scripting

    Hello together,
    at the moment I am writing a thesis about web dynpro and time is nearly gone...
    In the article:
    The Basic Facts About Web Dynpro - What Does It Do and How Does It Work?
    by Dr. Peter Tillert,
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/91b8c890-0201-0010-c787-be96f6fade89
    I´ve read about server-side rendering and  client-side rendering ( text under figure 6 ).
    Now I´ve got the following problem:
    Usually I use IE7 for testing my WD-Applications with enabled active scripting.
    Now I thought I disable active scripting on my client in order to test server-side rendering
    of plain html...
    I only get the error: WebDynpro Exception: Client Does Not Support JavaScript
    What´s wrong? I expected an other result... Thought WD is sooo flexible ???
    Many greetings,
    Oliver

    The article that you have chosen is rather old and represented some of the design goals of Web Dynpro back in 2004 before the project was completed.  I see other items in the article (like the Dynpro/Web Dynpro integration for ABAP) that were dropped before the final release of the product as well.
    I believe that quote you focused in on was:
    "While smart browsers (Internet Explorer as of version 5.5 and Netscape Navigator as of version 7.0) can run our client-side JavaScript, future versions of the Web Dynpro runtime will send server-side generated HTML without any scripting to every other browser."
    What you need to understand is that the idea of having a clear separation between the CSF and the SSF was an original design aspect of Web Dynpro that was elimated before the final product was delivered to market.  Part of the reasoning is that mainstream browser usage advanced to the point where the need to support non-JavaScript browsers was largely a moot point by the time Web Dynpro was released.  Therefore producing a rendering engine that has no scripting no longer had much value.  So deactiving scripting support in Web Dynpro today, does result in the error message that you received by design.  You can always check the latest supported browser versions for Web Dynpro by viewing the Platform Availability Matrix on the Service Marketplace.
    Using certain Application and URL parameters there certain features of the client side scritping that can be turned off:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/7b/fb57412df8091de10000000a155106/frameset.htm
    For instance you can deactivate the Delta Rendering (DOM Infusion of UI elements).
    Web Dynpro rendering is still abstracted and very flexible.  Today we focus this multi-client rendering approach on vastly different rendering technologies.  We can output to the HTML with JavaScript and AJAX, to Adobe Flex and to the NetWeaver Business Client (.Net 3.0 runtime). Here are some screenshots that show the same WD application running in these three very different environments.

  • Error when trying to bind without "cn=" prefix

    I am trying to bind a java object, via jndi, into an LDAP server and
    am getting an error.
    We have already bound jms.topics using IBM's JMSAdmin tool (a java
    tool), and they are in with names like "bucks" and "dela". Now, we
    want to put objects in from another tool instead of using the IBM
    tool.
    I am able to get the objects in, but I am forced to use "cn=myObject"
    instead of "myObject". For programic reasons, the later is what I
    need to do.
    Here is the code:
    // create the ctx
    InitialDirContext ctx = new InitialDirContext(env);
    // create the topic object with topic name of myTopic
    Topic q = new com.ibm.mq.jms.MQTopic("myTopic");
    // bind the object to the LDAP with the name == the topic name
    ctx.bind(new CompositeName("myTopic"),q);
    This results in
    javax.naming.directory.SchemaViolationException: [LDAP: error code 65
    - Object Class Violation]; remaining name 'myTopic'
    at com.sun.jndi.ldap.LdapCtx.processReturnCode(LdapCtx.java:903)
    at com.sun.jndi.ldap.LdapCtx.processReturnCode(LdapCtx.java:657)
    at com.sun.jndi.ldap.LdapCtx.c_bind(LdapCtx.java:1428)
    at com.sun.jndi.ldap.LdapCtx.c_bind(LdapCtx.java:459)
    at com.sun.jndi.toolkit.ComponentContext.p_bind(ComponentContext.java:594)
    at com.sun.jndi.toolkit.PartialCompositeContext.bind(PartialCompositeContext.java:185)
    at javax.naming.InitialContext.bind(InitialContext.java:366)
    at JNDITool.main(JNDITool.java:74)
    But, if I use
    ctx.bind(new CompositeName("cn=myTopic"),q);
    it works fine, but appears as "cn=myTopic" in the naming directory.
    In order to be backward compatible with another application, I need to
    have the name be merely "myTopic".
    Anybody know what IBM's JMSAdmin tool is doing differenctly to achieve
    this?
    TIA,
    Gonzo

    So the answer is you need to create some attributes to use when binding:
    // create the attributes for the binding.
    BasicAttributes basicattributes = new BasicAttributes();
    basicattributes.put("objectclass", "javaContainer");
    basicattributes.put("cn", topicName);
    // do the binding
    ((DirContext)ctx).bind(topicName, newTopic, basicattributes);
    Gonzo

    Hi Henry,
    Regarding your initial problem.
    Only the imports of the non-transparent tables (pool, cluster, report/dynpro sources) fail.
    return code received from nametab is 32
    ==
    no entry for the searched table is found in the nametab (runtime dictionary, consists of tables DDNTT (table description) and DDNTF (field catalogue)).
    Is this a complete new installation or is this a migration (with unicode conversion)?
    If it's an unicode migration of an own R/3 system, I assume that the RADCUCNT-report wasn't executed on the non-unicode source system. RADCUCNT writes the 'unicode version' of the nametab (DDNTT_CONV_UC and DDNTF_CONV_UC). During the import with uc-conversion R3load exchanges DDNTT and DDNTT_CONV_UC resp DDNTF and DDNTF_CONV_UC. So if the RADCUCNT wasn't run on the source system, the conversions can't be done (and later your target system won't run at all).
    Please check if there are entries in your target system's DDNTT (it should have been imported with SAPSDIC).
    See note 932779 Unicode conversion - analysis of nametab problems
           note 837173 RADCUCNT in Unicode Conversion: Collective Note
    and the migration guide.
    Best regards,
    Guenther

  • Why do I receive Offending Operator Error when opening illustrator created charts??

    I have created a pie chart in illustrator and after I save and close I receive Offending Operator errors when reopening and my chart information is gone.  This has happened to me twice between a six month period.  I thought it was just corupt files, but sure enough I am having the same issue when trying to create again.
    Can anyone offer suggestions as to what i am doing wrong?

    Check your firewall, because some firewalls monitor secure connections (https) and send their own certificate instead of the website's certificate.

    Hi
    It seems some mandatory System configuration settings are missing.
    For time-being, please Try de-activating the active customer implementations of the BADIs BBPDOC_CHANGE / BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADIs and then try again the Shop process._
    Please try to look into RZ20, ST22, RZ10, and SLG1 transactions for any error logs generated.
    Also, Please Check the SAP OSS Notes ->

    abbotpar,
        I think that the best way to find out what you need to know would be to contact Sony.  We aren't as familiar with specific cameras as the camera manufacturers are.  Sony would know if it were possible for you to take images while the camera is plugged into the computer.  If you have questions about our software or want to know about our framegrabber cards let us know.  Thank you!
