Error when trying to build to .class files

i dont know if i am even doing it right, but here goes
I use
java -classpath "c:\path to source";"c:\path to source\jakarta-regexp-1.2.jar" -g -d .. *.java
when i launch i get
unrecongnized option: -g
could not create the java virtual machine.
anyone have a idea that might be able to fix this?

Then add %CLASSPATH% to the classpath
javac -classpath "c:\path to source;c:\path to
source\jakarta-regexp-1.2.jar;%CLASSPATH%" -g -d .. *.java

I get the following error when trying to open a pdf file... '*pdf.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read". I am able to open pdf files in IE and other programs.

I am encountering the same problem -- though with .qfx files from my bank. This worked fine in Firefox 31 ESR, but since upgrading to Firefox 33.0, I get the "<name>.qfx.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read" when I attempt to download. (I should add that downloading PDF statements from the same site works fine, and that the qfx downloads work fine in IE and Chrome.)
I tried safe mode, it is still broken. Tried v34 beta, no luck. I reverted to version 31, it works again.
I guess I will stick with the older version until a solution is found...or just use an alternate browser to download my financial data.

Suffering an complie error when trying to compile java class in EBS11i

Hi,
When I trying to compile java classes with which imported the HttpServletResponse class, will get the follow error message:
package javax.servlet does not exist
cannot resolve symbol
symbol : class HttpServletResponse
It seems the javax.servlet package is not included in the classpath. But I checked the $CLASSPATH, it seems no problem.

resolved this issue.
1. Edit $APPL_TOP/admin/adovars.env file -
Add the following jar files to the AF_CLASSPATH line -
Full path of /...../iAS/Apache/Jsdk/lib/jsdk.jar
Full path of /...../iAS/Apache/Jserv/libexec/ApacheJServ.jar
2. Bounce the concurrent manager in order to have the changes take effect.

I had the same problem until I changed the Windows-style back slashes in the directory path to UNIX-style forward slashes, viz:
C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdeveloper
is wrong, while:
C:/Oracle/Middleware/jdeveloper
works correctly.
This might be stating the obvious, but it's one of the ongoing write-once-and-fail-to-run-everywhere issues that keep biting newbie Java developers, like myself, in the backside.

I forgot how I got this issue resolved. Probably we re-started the portal and the NWDI J2EE Engine. But I am sure that we did not do much in fixing this.

Error when trying to build to iOS

I am using Flash Buidler 4.7 on a Mac OS X 10.7 with latest java version 1.7 (64bits), I am trying to build some samples provided on this page:

I can test on the AIR simulator, but when I try to build on iOS simulator or device, I get the following error:

Error: This Java instance does not support a 32-bit JVM.
Please install the desired version.
I don't really understand the error, does it means I need to remove the java version and install another one? And old one or a 32bit one? I'm not sure
I've googled but didn't find a proper answer, so any help would be appreciated.

I get an error when trying to open certain PDF files in Lion on Mac.

I am having trouble opening CERTAIN .PDF files on my MacBook Pro. I am running Lion. The file is attached to a Gmail message as a standard .PDF file.
This is my error:
"File "XX" cannot be opened. It may be damaged or use a file format Preview does not recognize."
I have also downloaded Adobe X reader to see if the compatibility issue is just with Preview. I get an error that the file is "damaged" and cannot be recovered. Meanwhile, the file downloads/opens just fine on Windows XP Office and iOS (on my iPad). So I am thinking that it must be some sort of compatibility issue with Lion.
So far, other .PDF files open on my MB Pro. I haven't tried all of my saved .PDF files, but I did try a couple.
Anybody have any suggestions? There seems to be an error with this particular file opening in Lion, but not with the same file opening on another operating system.

The issue mysteriously resolved itself. I shut down the computer, and the next day I booted back up and tried to open the same file, and everything was OK. Very bizarre, since I had opened it previously on this same MacBook. Anyway, anyone have any insight into what happened?

i want to import a lot of XML-files with Data Services. I have a XSD file with the XML schema. I've validated the schema against the XML files with XML spy, xmllint and the result is ok. Only Data Services will run on error when i run the job:

Hi there
I'd be totally surprised if this were to work. This may sound strange from the standpoint that Captivate offers a XML import option. But I believe this option is intended for importing an XML file back into Captivate that was first exported OUT of this captivate project.
XML export creates an XML file in a specific format. I think the name is XLIFF and it's intended to facilitate localizing your project into assorted languages.

Internal Server Error when trying to upload and manage files

The instructor was experiencing this difficulty on Tuesday 1/13, after the notice was closed. I just
went into their site again(1/14/09 2:48pm), launched iTunes U and received the same error after clicking on 'Upload And Manage Files' in their iTunes U page.
I was able to reproduce the same error on our iTunes U site.

WrongName error when trying to run a package file

Hi, I am trying to run a file in a package. The package name is called com.davidflanagan.examples.net and the file name is ProxyServer.class. I've set the class path to point to the directory the package is in using the CLASSPATH environment variable. I've tried using "java ProxyServer" and "java com.davidflanagan.examples.net.ProxyServer", but I get a cryptic Wrong name error in both Windows and Linux. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First, ProxyServer's source code must start with the line...
package com.davidflanagan.examples.net;
Next, you must have a directory structure that matches the package name - a directory named com which contains a directory named davidflanagan which contains a directory named examples which contains a directory named net and ProxyServer.class must be in the net directory,.
Next, the directory that contains com must be in your Classpath when you execute ProxyServer.
To execute ProxyServer, use "java com.davidflanagan.examples.net.ProxyServer"

Xrpcc modeler error when trying to generate stub classes from a WSDL

I'm trying to generate JAX-RPC stub classes (both client and server side) from a WSDL in which one of the message parts references a complexType element defined in the <types> section of the WSDL. Here is my little WSDL document:

I've tried many combinations of defining my complex type and input message and whenever I run xrpcc using this WSDL as input, I get a Error: Modeler error: invalid entity name: Book (in namespace "myTypes"). Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what am I doing wrong in my <types> or <message> definitions to cause this error? I've had some luck generating stubs when the part types are all simple types, but I've not had any luck with getting a <complexType> definition accepted by xrpcc. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Yes you can specify type mapping in configuration file and probably this will solve the problem, but I've never tested this approach. Perhaps I'm not advanced user. Actually the serializerFactory and deserializerFactory are a little vague for me:(

Getting I/O Device error when trying to build?

I'm pretty much a horrible noob when it comes to stuff like this. I'm using Ant to build an EAR for deployment to an environment. I've been doing it for a while, totally fine... but when I tried to do it today - I'm getting the following error:
Problem creating war: the request could not be performed because of an I/O device error
Now, I have no idea what this means - Google isn't being a lot of help either. Is this a memory issue? Is it something corrupt in my local Javan environment?
It happens when I try to do the build via command line and through Eclipse.
The process is able to make it through the regular build portion fine - it just chokes on building the WAR.
Anyone?

Does this mean a drive has failed on the box? Or just
some controller associated with a drive?Don't know and couldn't say. Either way it's bad. Find an administrator and ask them. Hopefully you have one.
