Error while contacting a servlet

I have a java code that try to contact servlet hosted in a remote box. This servlet uploads file received thru the OutputStream
getting error - From ServletCom CLIENT REQUEST:HTTPS hostname wrong: should be <100.101.10.99>
code sample is a given below -

FileInputStream fileInputStream = new FileInputStream( new File(exsistingFileName) );

conn = (HttpURLConnection) url.openConnection();

dos = new DataOutputStream( conn.getOutputStream() );
IOException is thrown when try to create DataOutputStream

I have a progress in this task...
We have a client side stand alone application that needs to access a servlet in the unix server to upload a file. client side app passes file as argument. e.g c:\filename.tmp
Progress is that now I am able to invoke unix side servlet using client side appication but when request comes to the dopost of the servlet - req.getHeader has following info -
Content Type:multipart/form-data;boundary=*****
Content Length:57340
Connection:Keep-Alive
UserAgent:Java/1.4.2_12
Host:144.100.49.142:9400
accept:text/html, image/gif, image/jpeg, *; q=.2, */*; q=.2
user_agent:Java/1.4.2_12

x_wap_profile:null
profile:null
App server event log show following error -
WARNING (18243): /loader/inbound/filename.tmp (No such file or directory)
FYI - we use SunOne app server and JAVA 1.4.1
Does this means that servlet is not able to receive file as a stream?
