Error while creating hierarchy through " Create Hierarchy field" option

Hi All,
while trying to create hierarchy through Create Hierarchy field option i am facing the following error
I am giving the following inputs
Hierarchy field name : XYZ
Parent field                : Level1
Child Field                  : Level2
Node name field        : Level3
Cannot find the parent ID value "abc" in Field ID Level2 of Table " Hierarchy"
FYI
The source hierarchy is in Columns format with Level1(Parent)---->Lever2(Child of Level1) and Level3(Child of level2)
Kindly guide me where i am going wrong
Thanks in Advance
Regards
Sharma

Hi Sharma,
Your input file should have 3 columns for hierarchy one which will store level 1 information,2nd will have corresponding level 2 information and 3rd will have corresponding level 3 info.
Now in Import Manager go to Partition,select 1st ,2nd and 3rd column.Donot combine the fields. Now map the partition fields with the target hierarchy field.Perform the value mapping and import.
Or
YOu can have one column in the excel file.with values L1>L2>L3(split by some delimiter).
In import manager go to source hierechy pany select the Column and from context menu select option split into hierechy as per the delimiter.
Now map the parttion field and target field ,do value mapping and import.

    plz helep me out
    and i have few doubts
    1 in web ui to display these new fields do we need to write a program
    2. new field values are stored in table do weneed to create any table ?
    3. do we need to write any program so that the values will be stored in tht table?

    Hi Madhuri,
    For error message "Definition CRM_BTX_ADD_NEW_FIELDS is of the type 'TSK' and should run on an external system. This is not permissible. Only definitions of type 'SEQ' may be created for external systems."
    - Check SAP Market Place for any notes on "CRM_BTX_ADD_NEW_FIELDS"
    1 in web ui to display these new fields do we need to write a program
    - No need to write any program to display new fields in WEB UI. Using the EEWB will automatically create code behind the screens. All new fields created will be available in base table (example: for business partner - BUT000). You can explore the fields available functionality in WEB UI to populate them
    2. new field values are stored in table do we need to create any table ?
    - No, EEWB will automatically creates customized structure in code behind the screens
    3. do we need to write any program so that the values will be stored in tht table?
    - No, I don't know how to add values to the particular field(s) but sure that you don't need to write any program to store the values in customized tables
    Cheers,
    Peter J.

    If you have a support contract with Orcale you can find out hoe to fix this error by checking out Knowledge Article 1038072.1 How to troubleshoot "atg.workflow.WorkflowException: The inner project was not created. Check that your project workflow has been initialized by the workflow engine."
    The article says you should:
    1.
    delete from epub_wf_server_id
    delete from epub_coll_workflow
    delete from epub_workflow_info
    restart server and retest
    2. If problem exists check that you have configured the Workflow Process Editor Server correctly.
    The problem is that probably the workflow has not been not been initialized correctly by the Workflow Editor Server.

  • Getting Error while creating Project through API:PA_PROJECT_PUB.CREATE_PROJ

    Hi Gurus,
    I'm getting an error while creating a New project.
    My code looks like this:
    APPS.PA_PROJECT_PUB.CREATE_PROJECT
    (p_api_version_number => l_object_version_number --IN Parameter
    ,p_commit => l_commit --IN Parameter
    ,p_init_msg_list => l_init_msg_list --IN Parameter
    ,p_msg_count => l_msg_count --OUT Parameter
    ,p_msg_data => l_msg_data --OUT Parameter
    ,p_return_status => l_return_status --OUT Parameter
    ,p_workflow_started => l_workflow_started --OUT Parameter
    ,p_pm_product_code => g_pm_product_code --IN Parameter
    ,p_op_validate_flag => l_op_validate_flag --IN Parameter
    ,p_project_in => g_project_in --IN Parameter
    ,p_project_out => g_project_out --OUT Parameter
    ,p_tasks_in => g_task_in --IN Parameter
    ,p_tasks_out => g_task_out --OUT Parameter
    The out put params are: p_msg_count => 1
    p_return_status => E
    p_workflow_started => N
    g_project_out.pa_project_id => 170000000000000000000
    g_project_out.pa_project_number => ^
    g_task_out_rec.pa_task_id => 170000000000000000000
    End process record p_proj_insert => 1
    Resetting the task count variable
    when I checked the API code I found this:
    PA_INTERFACE_UTILS_PUB.G_PROJECt_ID := null; --bug 2471668 ( not in the project context )
    PA_PM_FUNCTION_SECURITY_PUB.check_function_security
    (p_api_version_number => p_api_version_number,
    p_responsibility_id => l_resp_id,
    p_function_name => 'PA_PM_CREATE_PROJECT',
    p_msg_count => l_msg_count,
    p_msg_data => l_msg_data,
    p_return_status => l_return_status,
    p_function_allowed => l_function_allowed
    . I think I am getting the error because of this.
    Now, question.
    Do I need to run the Create Project from a specific Responsibility?
    because when I ran the underlined query, I fpound the final status as 'N'.
    I'm a HR guy and PA is a new world for me. Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks!!
    Viky

    You need to find any responsibility and userid that lets you create a project using the screen.
    And then in your code, you need to set your context to that resp/userid.
    Hope this helps

  • Authentication error while creating directory server through dscc

    Hi
    I am getting authentication error while creating a DS from dscc on windows box on a linux RHEL4 server.However I do not get an authentication issue when creating a ds on solaris box from same dscc.
    Can someone guide me what might be the issue?
    Thanks
    Aarti

    Hi,
    Please check there is no firewall issue between your windows client to Linux directory server. You may be able to login via dscc but when you create DS instance, your dscc agent port might be an issue not able to talk to Directory server because of firewall.

  • Error while creating a recipe in plm..

    Hi every one,
    System throughing below error while creating a recipe.
    "Entries in status management Customizing are incorrect"
    kindly suggest.
    have a good day..
    regards,
    kirran

    Hi Kirran,
    Please see if you have defined a status scheme and assigned it to the recipe type. Before defining a status scheme, you must complete the one time IMG activity 'Collect Object Types and Assigned Attributes' under Recipe Development > Status Management. Then in the next node you define individual statuses and a scheme with transitions. For each status, you must define 'field value' for the field RCP_USAGE which is nothing but a value from Recipe Purposes customizing.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Rajeev

  • Getting error while creating the Shopping cart.

    Hi ,
    I am getting error while creating the Shopping cart.
    a.Error in account assignment for item 1  (Item  Testing SC )
    b.Duplicates of Cost Centre T10063 are defined in SRM  (Item  Testing SC )
    Kindly provide the solutions.
    Thanks,
    Dev

    Try the following in the ERP backend system:
    Standard Hierarchy Inconsistencies
    Issue: one Cost Center is repeating in more than one node in Cost Center Standard Hierarchy.
    Update from SAP Global support, the following was the email received:
    in transaction KSH3 please run both the ambiguity and completeness check(Menu -> Extras -> Check and Help functions).
    If you think that your standard hierarchy is inconsistent you can check that as following:
    Run transaction Extras -> Hierarchy - Master data -> Test. The result shows you if there are in consistencies. If that is the case run also Extras -> Hierarchy - Master data -> Comparison.
    Alternatively, you can run the report 'RKCORRH1' (TN SE38).
    Run both the Hierarchy->Master data->test and the
    Hierarchy->Master data->comparison.
    As stated above inconsistency message showed after Test. Run the comparison and you get a similar message.
    Once the above two are run, again when you go to test, the inconsistency disappears.

  • Error while creating a PO

    Hi all,
    I have got an error while creating a PO with an Internal Order. I am trying to post this PO against an Internal Order. The error message says that:
    User status BUDG is active (ORD 10034). When I click the perform assistant, it says that according to this status, transaction 'Material purchase order' is not allowed.
    Can somebody plss help me in this regards, I will assign points.
    Thank you,
    Sony

    What you enter in the Cost element master data is only for defaulting the cost center or order when you use that GL account.
    When you see a message  transction  requires an account assignment, you can enter the relevant cost center for which the cost is incurred.
    For your information, If an order has been marked as statistical, you can find it in KO02 change order > Control data. there may be  check box saying statistical. If it is not available, then, you can't make it statistical until, you make that field available for change for the order type. Usually orders of a particular type can be made as statistical, by providing a model order to the order type. In the model order you specify that it will be statistical.

  • Getting error while creating the variable of Schema Element type

    Hi everybody,
    For creating a variable of schema element type I am doing the following steps...
    Select 'Variables' after right clicking on bpel process. IN this window, go to 'Create VAriable' then select 'Element' type. Now in Type Choose, I expanded the my imported schema files. And selected a element type, then click ok to create this variable... I am getting the message...
    IN ORDER TO SAVE IMPORTED WSDL/SCHEMA FILES, YOU MUST HAVE A PARTNER LINK LOCATED UNDER THE CURRENT PROJECT DIRECTORY.
    What is mean by that.
    I have imported the schema files in project. AFter that I have imported them into the WSDL also. Now why I am getting error while creating the variable. However I can create variable directly in .BPEL file then everything is fine. And it is working also. But what is mean with the above error? Why I am not able to create variable through GUI?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    I have this same problem this morning, and I was going crazy, until I found this webpage on the internet:
    [http://technology.amis.nl/blog/1803/problem-importing-xml-schema-in-bpel-process|http://technology.amis.nl/blog/1803/problem-importing-xml-schema-in-bpel-process]
    The idea is that the jdeveloper is not very good working with directories with spaces on the directory name. If you move all your work to a directory without spaces, it will work smoothly. At least, it had worked for me.

  • Error while creating a new entity row for LoginPageEO.jbo.RowCreateExceptio

    hi all, i am new to OAF i have created a login page and trying to validate to a custom table which had two columns username and password, i am calling function from controller class which is in AM and from AM in turn i am calling function in VOimpl.java file where i am executing my query with whereClause, i am passing two parametere username and password to this function.
    if ((uname != null) && (!("".equals(uname.trim()))))
    whereClause.append(" UNAME = :");
    whereClause.append(bindCount++);
    parameters.addElement(uname);
    clauseCount++;
    if ((pass!= null) && (!("".equals(pass.trim()))))
    if (clauseCount > 0)
    whereClause.append(" AND ");
    whereClause.append(" PASSWORD = :");
    whereClause.append(bindCount++);
    parameters.addElement(pass);
    clauseCount++;
    setWhereClause(whereClause.toString());
    if (bindCount > 0)
    Object[] params = new Object[bindCount];
    // the copyInto() is 1.1.8 compliant which is required by ARU
    parameters.copyInto(params);
    setWhereClauseParams(params);
    //System.out.println(getQuery());
    executeQuery();
    //System.out.println(getRowCount())
    when i call this from login page i am getting
    Error - oracle.jbo.RowCreateException: JBO-25017: Error while creating a new entity row for LoginPageEO.
    Can any one help me out.

    If your requirement is not to update any DB Table then don't use an EO. I would suggest the following for your requirement of validating the username and password.
    - Create a VO that has the following query. Do not select any EO during the VO creation.
              SELECT 'x'
              FROM  <CUSTOM TABLE>
              WHERE <USERNAME COL> = :1
                  AND  <PASSWORD COL> = :2
            - Have the initQuery(..) Method in your VOImpl, that takes the username and password. Binds them to the VO and executes the query.
    - Have a method in your AM to take the username and password as parameters. Make a call to the above VO::initQuery(..)
    - In your controller's processFormRequest(..) call this AM Method upon the submit button action.
    This should work smoothly.
    The following is just for triaging the error that you have. The above steps, should help you achieve your requirement by itself, the below steps would not be required.
    Coming back to your issue. Any custom table should have the standard WHO Columns.
    - Modify the custom table to have these who columns.
    - In the EO Wizard, synchronize the EO to reflect the DB Structure.
    - Make sure the EO Attributes are marked updatable.
    Cause of your issue: Through you are not creating EO rows programatically, whenever a VO is based on an EO, upon execution of the VO query, EO's are automatically created, based on the number of rows returned by the VO Query. So internally its failing to created the EO Rows. On of the common reason would be that it creates the EO row, but cannot set the attributes from the VO, because the EO Attribute is readonly.
    Hope this clarifies.
