Error while deploying a WebDynpro from NWDS

Hi,
I'm trying to deploy a simple WebDynpro application. I'm deveoping on a local machine, the J2EE Engine is on the remote host.
While developing I'm getting the following deployment exception:
Deployment exception: Cannot determine sdm host (is empty). Please configure your engine/sdm correctly!
I have read a lot of postings about the same problem, but none could realy solve my problem.
I don't have access to the remote machine, but the  admistrator checked the J2EE Engine and the SDM and they should be running correctly.
I'm also sure that I have correctly specified the Message Server Host and the Message Server Port under Windows-Preferances-SAP J2EE Engine.
Strange is that in the J2EE Engine Tab the Remote engine node is not marked green like people told it should be, instead under the Remote engine node I only see another node marked with N/A and something like an error icon.
I would appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Mladen

hi ,
select window> Preferences>SAP J2EE Engine-->Choose SAP J2EE Engine
and select FIRST radio button and enter the host address and port as 3601.
even it is not deploying..
Try adding this to solve ur problem,
in following location
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
u will find one file names "hosts" open that in notepad and add at the end of file..
<ur system ip address> <servername>
example:
202.2.3.45 <any name>
hope this will sovle ur deployment problem
regards
sunil

Make sure you are connected to NWDI server.
Also create a new activity for a different component in the same track.

Does anyone know what's going wrong and knows a solution?

    Hi Andre,
There's no general deployment problem as I can deploy WD apps without GP interface successfully.
I got the apis for LocalDevelopment via the links in your SDN contribution 'How to get NW04s SP7 GP APIs for Local Development' from 9 June 2006.
I used and extracted the zips to the locations mentioned in the same SDN contribution.
I followed the procedure described in the SAP Library 'Creating Composite Applications' chapter 'Creating and Configuring the Web Dynpro Project' (URL = http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/b2/06ae42848bb211e10000000a155106/frameset.htm) to create the DC dependencies and Library Reference.
After doing this, I'm able complete the example as described in tutorial 50 'Implement a Custom Web Dynpro Callable Object in GP* (URL = https://sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e3f07a7a-0601-0010-ebbd-b9cfb445b814)
All goes well up until the deployment of the component.
I hope this helps you to help me again.
    Thanx in advance.

    Hi,
    please do the following check:
    1. Enter the following URL in your web browser:
    http://<server>:<port>/AdobeDocumentServices/Config
where <server> is the name of the J2EE engine where the Adobe document services are installed and <port> is the port of the J2EE engine.
Note that the entries in the URL are case-sensitive.
    2. The web page of the web service AdobeDocumentServices is displayed. Choose Test.
    3. Choose rpdata(test.…) .
    4. Choose the Send button without entering any parameters.
    5. Enter the user name and password as given in the configuration steps(as in configuration guide- User:ADSUser) .
    6. Choose Submit.
If the configuration is correct, you get the information about the Version number in the response area.
Please confirm the ADS version and WAS information.
    thanks,
    kris

    Rajendra Redekar

    Hi Rajendra,
What Patch level of VC 6.0 are you using?
In the installable folder of your VC you'll find some sda files in the portal addon folder.
The list of sda files are:
    com.sap.visualcomposer.portalcontent.sda
    com.sap.visualcomposer.sda
    BIUDISystems.sda
    com.sap.visualcomposer.BIKit.sda
    com.sap.visualcomposer.BIKitQV.ear
Deploy those if they are relevant to SP11 of EP 6.0. Otherwise get those sda files for EP 6.0 SP 11 from service marketplace and deploy them into your portal.
    Thanks in advance,
    Deep

  • J2EE cluster error while deploying "EAR" file from SDM tool

    Hi all,
I am new to CRM ISA development side. I am learning how to build b2c ear file base on b2c.ear and then how to deploy through SDM. Everything is working fine till build tool. Successfully build my own b2c_ashish.ear file. then I started SDM GUI and try to deploy it. In SAP MMC all process are running. J2EE engine is also running fine. I have describe below which step I took.
PL. go through it an let me know about my mistake.
I am just pasting that portion of error which I am getting when I am accessing "/b2c_kce/b2c/init.do"
    ===================
    A runtime error occurred
    Contact the administrator
    Start application
    ==================
do you have any idea in which log file it writes error so I can open that file and . I tried to access log file from "Admin" page.
If I am trying to access "/b2c_kce/admin/index.jsp" I am able to access those pages without problem only "/b2c_kce/b2c/init.do" I am getting problem like above "run time error Occured"
When I click on "Start Application" it is opening new window and showing same text.
I checked SAP MMC. it is showing all node Green "dgntisa", "dgntisa1" and "dgntisa0" Also All process like under "dgntisa0" process "jcontrol.exe" and "igswd.exe "  are green.
I build "b2c_ashish" new by using build tool. It was also successful.
I start SDM server by "StartServer.bat" and after that I start SDM remote GUI.
I select "Deployment" tab and add "crm.b2c_ashish" for deployment then I click on Start button and I got below error for "J2EE Cluster" that "SDM could not start J2EE cluster on the host dgntisa"
Pl. if you have any idea then pl. let me know how to solve this error.
Deployment started Sun May 14 14:24:50 PDT 2006

Above error start ater restarting "WAS" server. Now You can not deploy or undeploy any SDA or SCA component.
I follow above mentioned steps 2 time after restarting "WAS" server. but it seems that one service for J2EE cluster is not started.  I also chekced the running mode of SDM and SAP J2EE version. SDM Runing mode is "integrated" and SAP J2EE version is " 6.30" While using a build file it is showing J2EE engin version.

If you can, the best way would be to to change the column name from SUBTYPE to something that isn't a SQL reserved key word.
You might get around this particular problem by adding @Column(name = "\"SUBTYPE\"") on your attribute. This will force eclipselink to add quotation marks in the generated SLQ, but I think it will cause problems when it comes to some more complicated queries.
In my opinion, the only safe way here is to not use column names that are in conflict with SLQ reserved key words.

i removed the read only for the source on the disk drive but nothing changed !
note: the orcladmin is set to default "welcome1"
but in OID it is another password
someone one told me that this is the problem-the user is not the same password ,is this the reason why i cant deploy my bpel process???
also he told me if i change the "orcladmin" manually the EM will crash ,its not problem for me because i have an image which can be restored back in few minutes .but i need an explanation so i know what's happening.

    Regards,
    Rukmani

    Hi Rukmani,
407 is "Proxy Authentication Required", which sounds like you are using a proxy and on the other machine, the network access to the portal works in fact different or the authentication mechanism is different.
This is hard to elaborate remotely...
    Hope it helps

  • Error while deploying to WebLogic from Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4

    Hello,
For some reasons, suddenly Jdeveloper gives some problems when trying to deploy an application to the internal WebLogic. It used to deploy the app without any problems in the past. I must have done something wrong and I would like to know what it is happening other than a solution to the problem.

I did not touch any jars. They should be in their place. What I see from the project properties is that JSF 1.2 libraries are attached as before..
    Any idea? I am stuck.
Do anyone have any idea about this matter? I really don't know where to look at.
