Hi All,
we are installing NW'04 SR1. We installed Oracle9.2 and jdk1.4.2_07.
We are in Phase 27 (of 34) in java edition installation.
We are getting the following error::

The same problem here but I am not able to start the configtool to get the configuration adapted, as I am still busy with the installation...

Error While installing IDES 4.7 CJS-00081

Hi Gurus
I am trying to install SAP IDES 4.7 on my computer ,while try to install i am getting this error msg i have posted the log file below and while in command prompt lsnrctl status listener command returns error msg 1053 please advice as how to proceed further , i have uninstalled and reinstalled oracle but am getting the same error msg

The path of that program indicates, that you did not install Oracle as described in the installation guide by using "sapserver.cmd" but you installed it "manually" using setup.exe. This is incorrect for a SAP system installation.
I suggest you uninstall everything and start from scratch by following the instruction from the installation guide attentively.
Also keep in mind that both Oracle 9.x and R/3 4.7 are already out of support - so basically it's pointless to install such old software.

If i remember correct , Installation will ask you for MaxDB user ids , it will give errors latter if you give lengthy user ids ( i think >8 or 9 ) . So try not to give lengty ids also check your host name. Looks like that also too long

I was able to continue the installation after that.During database Instance installation I get the following error:

We tried twice clean installation, after removing j2ee dir, SCS and
resp profiles and droping PSAPQSSDB tablespace and SAPQSSDB user.
I have also confirmed the passwords in ABAP system/000 for SAPJSF, DDIC, J2EE_ADMIN, J2EE_GUEST.
We are getting the same error in both tries.
Kindly advice us to resolve the problem.

you saved my day! I've been banging my head against the wall with this same problem during a J2EE add-in installation for SRM 4.0 on Windows, in preparation of an LAC 2.0 installation. I had tried deleting the schema first, but that didn't work. After I removed the sys\global\security folder as well, it worked perfectly.

Hello,
When I am installing the SAP SAP J2EE add-on for SAP NW XI installation I am getting the follwing error:
CJS-00084 SQL statement or script failed. DIAGNOSIS: Error message: Executable /oracle/XID/920_64/bin/sqlplus returns 127.. SOLUTION: See ora_sql_results.log and the Oracle documentation for details
Could some one help me to resolve this error and install the SAP J2EE add-on?

I am installing NW 04 SR1 on Linux / DB2
Completed the steps of ABAP Central instance and Database instance successfully.
While installing the JAVA Add-in, everything seems to go smoothly till step 20 of 26.
In the "load java database content" step, I get an error as follows:

The SQLCODES and SQLSTATUS mentions that either:

CCSID ASCII cannot be specified when connected to a database created using a UNICODE code page.
CCSID UNICODE cannot be specified when connected to a database created using a non-UNICODE code page.
I am installing this for Non-unicode database, so I guess the above SQL statement should not be :
CCSID UNICODE CREATE TABLE
and should be "CCSID ASCII CREATE TABLE"
This statement seems to come from an EXPDUMP1.001 file from an OS independant J2EE engine DVD:

In your desktop probably this is second J2E instance so my suggestion is that you unistall using the uninstaller and then go to sapinst_dir in program files delete it compeletely and then go for fresh installation .Also mention the java path and home correctly.

i got rid of the problem,
when i want to login as sysdba in cmd, it says oracle error 01034
then tried these steps
set ORACLE_SID=XXX
sqlplus /nolog
conn system/manager as sysdba
shutdown abort
startup
then i tried to reinstall , it worked.

Error while installing OWB
after 50% install.. it says
"Error in writing to file c:\oracle\ora9201\bin\oci.dll
The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process"
Apparently I have restarted the workstation and closed all oracle related services in services and no other program is running expect the installer.
Can any one help in resolving the issue. Or can I hit the ignore button and continue installing?

Always install OWB into a new ORACLE_HOME unless the Installation and Configuration Guide states otherwise. This has only happened twice. OWB 9.0.2.62.3 was the last version to allow installation into an existing ORACLE_HOME. Another thing you can do is go to www.sysinternals.com and download the utility LISTDLLs. It is great. From a command prompt, start it with the syntax: listdlls >log.txt
This will output the DLLs in use and which executable is using it. Search for the DLL in the log.txt and scroll up until the double line. The executable name locking the DLL will be above the double line. If you have the Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator Service running on the client, it will lock Oracle DLLs. This has been a common issue in the past, going back to the days of Data Mart Suite. This was documented in the Release Notes for it and may still be in the system in a note somewhere. It is in: DMS: Unable To Install; Filesopen/Service Running On Compaq Server Doc ID: Note:1080977.6 and Certain Files which need to be Reinstalled are Being Used Doc ID: Note:117672.1

Error while installing Oracle 10g on Fedora Core 1. After 40% of the Installation is thru, the progress bar is showing 40%, it gives error "Not connected to Oracle" and the installation has to be terminated.
We have tried by using the on-line procedure and changing the required script to make believe it as said.
