Error while updating infotype using HINUINFO_UPDATE

Hi All,
While executing the program 'HINUINFO_UPDATE'
i am getting an error 'No object identification permitted for infotype 0582, subtype LTA'.
After the approval for LTA claim is done in ESS i have executed the program 'HINUINFO_UPDATE' to update he infotypes 15 and 582. Infotype 15 is getting created but while creating the infotype 582 system gives the above error message.
In the detailed error log system gives the following message.
"You attempted to access a data record with the object identification 1. However, according to the Customizing settings, object identifications cannot be used for subtype LTA of infotype 0582".

I restarted XE with "/etc/init.d/oracle-xe stop /etc/init.d/oracle-xe start" and then see this error message in the terminal console. Every serveral minutes, the error "Unknown error while updating module use!" is echoed.
Any advice?

Look for the alert_xe.log file, maybe you'll find some additional information there if that message is related to your XE instance.

Not necessary. UPDATE can be asynch as well.
Can you turn the trace on like pointed by Michal and then you can see the Query in the Audit Log of the adapter montioring. Try to execute the same query from your DB Client like TOAD and see what is the Syntax error you are getiing.!
The problem looks like some field has some dataype / column name mismatch.

Error while updating Infotype P9002

Dear Experts,
I am trying to modify infotype P9002 using FM 'HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION.....
and I getting my dump error while uploading text format.
some times I get message : No data stored for 9002 in the selected period.
my requirement is: I need to modify amount fields in P9002 for some existing records in PA9002.
My question is :
1. how should be my ( notepad ) text format which is to be uploaded, should I include all the fields in P9002 in my notepad trext or just include all the fields in my internal table or only the fields which needs to be modified.
2. If I modify infotype P9002 will the data gets modified in PA9002.

hi,
    I read your error. You just use fm 'HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA', for this we doesn't require to give the fm in bapi_emp_enqueue and bapi_emp_dequeue.
    You want to modify, so first of all you just get the begda and endda of that record, then pass these values in fm.
     For this you have to fill mandatory fields like pernr, and fields.nd
     You just have to pass table pprop. In this we have to fill infty, fieldname and fieldvalue for each and every field.

    i have to update data using MM01 transaction from flat file to database.i have used both session method and call transaction method to do that.in both the methods data has been transferred from internal tables to screens but while updating the data that is by clicking the ok-code at the end of the transaction iam getting a dialogue box stating
   SAP EXPRESS DOCUMENT "UPDATE WAS TERMINATED" RECEIVED FROM AUTHOR "SAP".

Error while updating Infotype

Hi I am currently hiring an employee Through PA30 by maintaining IT-0000,IT-0001 and IT-0002 . Now what I want is that if I get an error in maintaining any of these Infotypes I want either all to get updated at once or none at all.
So if I get an error in say IT-0002 ,then since it is comes after saving the records in IT-0000 and IT-0001 so I don't want it to generate the employee number .
Right now if I get an error in IT-0002 it generates a number from the internal number range and maintains IT-0000 for it.
I have tried rollback work and even commit work statement after executing PA30 but that doesn't work either.

Getting error while Updating Infotype 0377

I am using FM 'HR_ECM_INSERT_INFOTYPE' for updating data from an excel file in infotype 0377 but i am getting this error 'Entry   VSEL   does not exist in T5UBA (check entry)'. This is coming due to the foreign key validation on the fields BPLAN & LEVL1. So the records are not getting updated in the infotype. But when i am trying to create a record with same data manually through PA30 its getting created. Can you please tell me which FM is being used for infotype updation in PA30. If i use the same FM, may be my issue gets resolved.Thanks.

I am using AMG APIs "pa_project_pub.update_project" for Task dates update . I am getting the API Error message as : "For a shared structure or a Workplan structure, all tasks in the structure should be passed in correct hierarchy."
Even though I am passing the Task information in the task_in_tbl_type in correct order (Ex. For extending dates, Top Task first followed by Sub Task and vice-versa for the shortenings the dates).
Still I am getting the Error. Request you to help me in resolving the error.

Actualy I was watching the thread and got no Reply.this enable me to search more for the cause and eventually for the solution.
The Error "The flex field values you have entered are invalid" was because of DFF values only. I found this solution from API code only. It takes me to PA_PROJECTS_PVT where I Found the Error Code and then to flex field validation and then to Task utility Package.
Actually when you are not passing any value for Attributes, It will take the Old values only. and If the old values fails to Validate, this issue may arise. Same was the cause in this case. For An attribute the Value Set was "Standard Date" and it was accepting "DD-MON-RRRR" from Front End, but keeping "DD-MON-RRRR HH:MI:SS" as a value in the Attribute. For Eg. 12-DEC-2012 will be stored as 12-DEC-2012 00:00:00. It was there for almost all the Tasks.
And when it was passed internally to API, It was causing the Error that Value enterted are Invalid.
I came to know only after running the Desc Flex Field Validate API, which PA_PROJECTS_PVT was using.
Got the Solution and feel like sharing with you all.

Pls. throw some lights on this issue, which area we need to take care while configuration.

If you are not using then V_T7INA1 and V_T7INA3 doesn't make any duifference. Check the INVAl module of the wage type and configure the table V_T510, V_T539J accordingly.
If it is for India then you also need to configrue V_T7INA9 and LGMST will not be required for India.

Is that possible there was the field ZDATE in your form interface/ context and now it is not? I guess some source has changed so the field in the form (binding to the not existing field) cannot be processed. Otto

I found these is no directory "%HYPERION_HOME%\common\CSS\9.2.0\bin;" exists but "%HYPERION_HOME%\common\CSS\9.2.1\bin;"
I configured PATH by setting to above, and tried CSSExport again, still failed.
Than I disabled the NTLM is HSS, tried CSSExport again. It was successful.
So I am convinced that the problem caused by NTLM or PATH environment variable or some files associated.
Does anybody know the solution ?

I recommend you upgrade at least to 10.1.0.5. 10.1.0.2 comes with the very first version of csalter.plb, which has not the current implementation. From and to which character set do you try to migrate?

Error while updating account dim

I get the below error while updating the Outline Account Dim.This error occurs only when updating account dim. It does not happen with other dimensions. So it doesn't seem to be the connection being down. If we recycle the analytics server. But we are not able to find out the actual cause for this issue.
Error message:
Cannot build dimension. Analytic Server Error(1042017): Network error: The client or server timed out waiting to receive data using TCP/IP. Check network connections. Increase the NetRetryCount and/or NetDelay values in the ESSBASE.CFG file. Update this file on both client and server. Restart the client and try again
Additional information
Account is defined as dense dimesion with 1800 level 0 members. We are updating this using rules file.

There is probably something in your dim build source file that Essbase doesn't like and isn't giving you a good error message. Did this dim build work in the past and you recently added something to it?
Try excluding certain columns like member properties and data storage just to see if you can get the members to load. Then slowly bring back in the other columns to see if you find the one that has the problem. Similarly try keeping all the columns but just try loading one record and see if it succeeds, this will help you start to narrow down if it is a load rule or source issue. Other option is to create a new load rule, perhaps there is something wrong with the one you are using.
Unfortunately there is no magic bullet here, you just have to work through small samples to try and isolate what the problem is.

I read in some of the OTN forums that this may be an environment issue. So i restarted the B2B server as suggested but the error seems to still exist.

Make sure there is no agreement in deployed/validated state which is using this document definition. Retire and purge all existing configurations which are using this doc def and make sure there is no agreement in validated state. If there is an agreement in validated state and then change/just update anything in agreement and save it to bring it back into draft state.
