* Oracle (system) error messages start with a prefix like "ORA-" and a 5-digit number. The prefix may be different from ORA depending on where the error was raised
* The message does not look familiar, but I often find new messages I have never seen before
First thing to do is to find out where the mesage is coming from. If you have source code search it for the message. It may be coming from a trigger.
See if the table you are trying to insert into has any triggers and if so check to see if your message is coming from a trigger. You can also check ALL_SOURCE for the message to check in-database source code. If the message is coming from an offline applicatioion like Reports or Forms then the message will be hearder to track down

    I assume here that your application is deployed on a different physical machine of where LCES is deployed and running.
    Do the following test:
    - Say that LCES is deployed on machine1 and your application is deployed on machine2. Ping machine1 from machine2 and note the ip address.
    - Ping machine1 from machine1 and note the ip address.
    The two pings should match.
    - Ping machine2 from machine1 and note the ip address.
    - Ping machine2 from machine2 and note the ip address.
    The two pings should match.
    Usually this kind of error would happen if your servers have internal and external ip addresses.

  • Getting error while using as_access_pub.Create_SalesTeam API

    Hi,
    I am getting this error while executing this API in a procedure which is triggered from a business event.
    "User id 0 is invalid. The user cannot be identified in Resource Manager."
    The error does not occur when I execute the procedure stand-alone from a PL/SQL client. What could be the reason ? Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Ramya

    Hi,
    thanks for the response. I tried doing that FND_APPS.Initialize... explicitly by passing user_id,resp_id and resp_app_id, still its giving the same error.
    Also note that the API works fine from our development instance (without fnd_apps.initialize), whereas it does not work from our testing instance (with or without fnd_apps.initialize)
    Thanks

  • Error while using the XMLP API to generate a report

    Hi all,
    I am trying to generate a report using stand-alone application by the JAVA API (User doc Ch 11). I am using RFT template for this.
    Step1: Create XSL from RTF file. I could do this. Example is given in page 262 of the guide. Here is the code snippet (all import, try/catch removed):
    RTFProcessor rtfProcessor = new RTFProcessor(args[0]);
    rtfProcessor.setOutput(args[1]); // output file
    rtfProcessor.process();
    This generated a XSL file correctly.
    Step 2: Using the XSL and XML file, it could generate a output. This is failing for me. (Page 265). Code snippet below:
    <snippet>
    FOProcessor processor = new FOProcessor();
    processor.setData(args[0]); // set XML input file
    processor.setTemplate(args[1]); // set XSL input file
    processor.setOutput(args[2]); //set output file
    processor.setOutputFormat(FOProcessor.FORMAT_PDF);
    // Start processing
    try
    processor.generate();
    catch (XDOException e)
    e.printStackTrace();
    System.exit(1);
    System.exit(0);
    </snippet>
    It compiles. When I run this program (class), I get the following errors and I do not know where to look for help/resolution:

    I don't know how to determine which server the DBAdapter is targetted to.
    But I found the following information:
    Under Deoloyment->DBAdapter->Monitoring->Outbound Connection Pools
    Outbound Connection Pool Server State Current Connections Created Connections
    eis/DB/SOADemo AdminServer Running 1 1
    eis/DB/SOADemo soa_server1 Running 1 1
    eis/DB/soademoDatabase AdminServer Running 1 1
    eis/DB/soademoDatabase soa_server1 Running 1 1
    The DbAdapter is related to the following files:
    C:\ Oracle\ Middleware\ home_11gR1\ Oracle_SOA1\ soa\ connectors\ DbAdapter. rar
    C:\ Oracle\ Middleware\ home_11gR1\ Oracle_SOA1\ soa\ DBPlan\ Plan. xml
    I unzipped DbAdapter.rar, opened weblogic-ra.xml and found that there's only one data source is registered:

    Then I decided to use eis/DB/SOADemo for testing.
    For JDeveloper project, after I deployed to weblogic server, it works fine.
    But for OSB project referencing wsdl, jca and mapping file from JDeveloper project, still got the same error as follows:

    It almost drive me crazy!!:-(
    What's the purpose of 'weblogic-ra.xml' under the folder of 'C:\Oracle\Middleware\home_11gR1\Oracle_OSB1\lib\external\adapters\META-INF'?

  • Error while using LabVIEW 8.2.1 Dll from Visual C++ 6.0

    I am getting an error while using a LabVIEW 8.2.1 dll from Visual C++ 6.0 application. This is what I am doing:
    1) Created a dll using LabVIEW 8.2.1 (I used a tutorial from NI knowledge base: "Creating DLLs from 6.0i". It is a temperature conversion VI; input DegreeF and get DegreeC out). Instead of LabVIEW 6.0i, I used 8.2.1. It created the dll Convert_Temp.dll successfully.
    2) Then I created a Visual C++ 6.0 application (used a tutorial from NI knowledge base: "Calling a DLL from Microsoft Visual C++ that was Generated by LabVIEW 6i). I could build the project and create an executable application F_To_C.exe.
    3) Then copied the LabVIEW dll Convert_Temp.dll into the folder where F_To_C.exe resides. Using windows explorer, went into that folder, and executed the application.  I got the following error:
    System Error 998 while loading the LabVIEW run-time engine (C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\LabVIEW Run-Time\8.2\lvrt.dll).
    Convert_Temp requires a version 8.2.1 (or compatible) LabVIEW Run-Time Engine. Please contact the vendor of Convert_Temp to correct this problem.
    I checked the folder: C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\LabVIEW Run-Time\8.2\. It has the file lvrt.dll.
    So why am I getting this error?
    GKB

    sounds like you need to install the LabVIEW 8.2.1 runtime. Not the 8.2 runtime engine.

  • Getting NoSuchElementException while using CRMOD Administrative API

    I am working on Administrative Service API for copy configuration from one CRM on Demand instance to another (i.e. from staging to production).
    As I have downloaded one of the Role Management (RoleService.wsdl) and created client for the same, for connection (logon) I am using end point https://secure-vmsomxmla.crmondemand.com/Services/cte/RoleService of RoleService.wsdl
    But getting following Exception
    java.util.NoSuchElementException
    at java.util.StringTokenizer.nextToken(Unknown Source)
    at crmondemand.ws.odesabs.accessprofile.clientsample.ClientSample.getSessionId(ClientSample.java:170)
    at crmondemand.ws.odesabs.accessprofile.clientsample.ClientSample.main(ClientSample.java:56)
    But if I use end point “https://secure-msomxmla.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration”
    Then it gets connected with CRMOD, but again while using Administrative Service API method roleRead() such as
    RoleReadInput roleReadInput=new RoleReadInput();
    RoleQuery roleQuery=new RoleQuery();
    RoleTranslationQuery roleTranslationQuery1=new RoleTranslationQuery();

  • "Error while using XML iview" with XML iview template

    Our portal platform: HP-UX,  WAS 6.40 JAVA, EP 6.0 SP14
    We created an XML iview using XML iview template and configured the XML source URL with RSS feeder addresses such as"https://forums.sdn.sap.com/rss/rssmessages.jsp?forumID=41". And then select RSS to XHTMLB as the XML transformation format and save.  When I try to preview the iview, I always got error "Error while using XML iview, please contact your system administrator".  Here is the log and among which I found an error "java.net.UnknownHostException: news.163.com".  Does this indicate that the Portal server is not able to interpret the address of the URL host?

  • Inconsistent FOTY0001: type error while  using translateFromNative

    I am getting FOTY0001: type error while using translateFromNative function in assign activity.
    This error happens only in the below scenarios:
    1. Create a BPEL process with file input adapter that accepts simple xml string as input and accepts files like input*.txt.
    2. Create a simple XSD(Fixed Length native XSD) and convert the simple string to XML using translateFromNative function and copy it into a variable.
    3. Switch off the process
    4. Put atleast 10 input*.txt files in the folder and switch on the process.
    This error doesn't happen when I put one file at time.. Even when I put multiple files, the error happens for few instances inconsitently.
    Here is our assign activity
    <assign name="Assign_1">
    <copy>
    <from variable="PlantChemMsg" part="Chemistry"
    query="/ns2:Chemistry/ns2:chemistryString"/>
    <to variable="tempChemistryString"/>
    </copy>
    <copy>
    <from expression="ora:translateFromNative(bpws:getVariableData('tempChemistryString'), 'ChemistryLegacy1.xsd', 'Root-Element')"/>
    <to variable="ChemistryOut" part="Root-Element"
    query="/ns8:Root-Element"/>
    </copy>
    </assign>
    Here is the error in group log:
    ORABPEL-09500
    XPath expression failed to execute.
    Error while processing xpath expression, the expression is "ora:translateFromNative(string(bpws:getVariableData('tempChemistryString')), 'ChemistryLegacy1.xsd', 'Root-Element')", the reason is FOTY0001: type error.
    Please verify the xpath query.

    James,
    Thanks & Sorry for the late reply.
    I used assign activity just because I have only one source and target element.
    This error happens even with transform activity.
    Also, all the input messages are same. So It is definitely not the issue with the input message.
    One observation I did is:
    The error doesn't occur when I use like below(Full Http url):
    ora:translateFromNative(string(bpws:getVariableData('tempChemistryString')), 'http://psc-d674943.hdq.uss.com:7777/orabpel/default/TestTranslateFromNativeError/1.0/ChemistryLegacy1.xsd
    ', 'Root-Element')
    But occurs when I use like below.
    ora:translateFromNative(string(bpws:getVariableData('tempChemistryString')), 'ChemistryLegacy1.xsd', 'Root-Element')

  • Deplyment error while using service reference

    Hi All,
    I'm facing similar error where I get the following error when i try to run the application.
    Following error i get when i try to deploy
    Failed to prepare application ''sap.com/asp_all_sites'' for startup. Reason= Clusterwide exception: Failed to start dependent service ''PORTAL:sap.com/com.sap.compatibility50.cache.cache'' of application ''sap.com/asp_all_sites''. Status of dependent component: STATUS_MISSING. Hint: Is the component deployed correctly on the engine?
    I have added this in Sharing references but yet it doesn't help me. I'm using ICacheService in my code.
    This **URGENT** Deplyment error while using service reference i was following but could not arrive at any result
    Please advise

    The things I have done so far:
    1. Deployed the custom library and refered in library references. Its the same name as it is Visual Admin
    2. Added Cache API Jar file as external Jar file; added the Sharing reference and also all the steps mentioned in the following link:
    Webdynpro DC and J2EE DC
    3. The DC builds properly but fails at deployment
    My question is there any way that I can manually start the service.
    I find the application in Server >> Services >> Deploy is with invalid kind of symbol (neither blue checked symbol / red cross symbol). How do I restore the application
    I using ICacheServices in my code using Sharing references
    like (ICacheService)WDPortalUtils.getServiceReferences("com.sap.compatibility50.cache.cache"). is this right
    Please let me know
    Thanks in advance
