Error wile importing class file
hi,
i am trying to import a class file(exp) in jsp, but it gives error mesg like unable to find the class file. the code is
class file is plcaced in "C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Tomcat 4.1\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF\classes"

New syntax to import .class Files???
Using JDK 1.2.2 i coul import my own class files by typing
import ClassName;
Using the j2sdk1.4.0 compile I get the Error Message

Is there a new synatx for importing .class files???Normally I don't help anyone under this username, but since the idiot Kayaman is here being his usual jerk-ness providing no meaningful help whatsoever (as usual), I'll let you in on the fact that 1.4 doesn't let you import un-packaged classes anymore. So just remove the import statement, or change your imported class into some kind of package.

I am getting the error the below error while importing the file in FDM. I have read and write access to the folder. I tried loading text and excel files, I am getting the same error.

I have Oracle Database and the version is 11.1.0.7; So even for this version do I need to have SQLLDR.exe on the server where FDM is installed.

but my client doesn't want to develop in development box.

I read in the book called "CRYSTAL XCELSIUS for DUMMIES" on page 243 under topic called Nesting a Dashboard within another Dashboard.
sorry i used the wrong word embed, here i am importing the swf using image component.
My requirement is somethis like this parent child dependency menu.
eg: i have to two tabs 1)alphabets 2) Numerics First levet menu
if you click alphabets tab then the following menu A/B/C/D/..... Z i have diff charts.. under each alphabet.
If you click numberic tab then the follwing menu should one/two/three/.......ten here also i have diff charts under number
in over to avoid complexity in dynamic visibility i divided the into 3 dashboards. 1- alphabets 2- number and 3 -importing both swfs.. everything works fine except first tab and last tab under alphabets and numerics.
If some one help me with some alernative ... would be great.

Compilation Error for import classes not found in generated Proxy Class

We are generating java classes for the COM dll using JCOM com2java compiler.
We are getting a compilation error for import class not found when compiling the
generated Proxy java source code. It can't find the com.bea.jcom.Dispatch class that
the generated Proxy java source code extends. It also can't find com.bea.jcom.Variant
or com.bea.jcom.Param. These are interfaces or data types or classes used by COM
library.
I added weblogic.jar to my class path and the only Dispatch class i found inside
the weblogic.jar is com.linar.jintegra.Dispatch;
We have com objects for which we want to develop an EJB client to interface with
the COM object using JCOM with Native Mode disabled.
Any help on the compilation error..I tried changing the extends for Dispatch to com.linar.jintegra.Dispatch
but the other errors are still there.
To begin with, I think the generated code should not refer to any of the COM data
types.
Any help please.

An error occured importing the file
Hello,
We are currently experiencing an issue with Importing a file that contains the Japanese Kanji character set.
The error received is "Error - An error occured importing the file"
The Kanji characters are only for the Descriptions within the import file and WILL NOT be stored in the Oracle Database. I have enabled the East Asian lanaguages on the Windows 2k3 server but still get the error. Is there another setting the needs to be enabled or a 3rd party software that must be installed?
Any help would be appreciated.

It appears that you did not tell FDM to accept possible non ASCII characters.
To do this change the option in "Administration" -> "Configuration Settings" -> "File Encoding Type" to Unicode.
Keep in mind this will allow the parsing engine to accomidate additional characters. BUT, if the file is an ANSI type file that contains the characters and not a TRUE Unicode file, the characters will just now be skipped.

I am trying to update some xml. I login to admin module and click on Import Exchange File. When I try to import an xml I get this error:

I have checked database permission and the user has proper permission.
Any idea why I would get this error?

Error after importing PAR file into NWDS
Hi Experts,
I have imported a par file into my NWDS worlspace . While building the project it's giving the following error .
import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse can't be resolved .
While i am organizing the importa , the same import is getting deleted and i am getting a new error as follows .
The project was not built since its classpath is incomplete. Cannot find the class file for javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest. Fix the classpath then try rebuilding this project.
jdk1.5 has been configured correctly inside NWDS and i have tested it also .
Can anybody help me out regarding this .

AmitaIf your directory structure is something like this:
D:\java\org\apache\struts\example
And in this directory you have the classes Dbservlet.java
and User.java, with the following package statement in both the java class files:
package org.apache.struts.example;
you will not get any error if you compile from the D:\java directory like this:

I have a class called Tools that resides in the WEB-INF/classes folder. It is a very general class with frequently used methods and thus is not in a package. My problem is this: I cannot import it in my .java class files. I can, however, import it in a JSP file. The error also goes away if I put the class in a package and declare the import accordingly (I do not want to do this, however, as other pages within the application already reference it as is). In the java class, it just throws the error:

--NicoleSounds like it's in your Tomcat (or whatever container you're using) classpath, but not your normal Java classpath. Since you're compiling your source yourself, javac needs to know where it is.

Unable to set search context for AD resource
Hi, I am unable to set a search context into my AD resource (IdM 8.1 patch 9, AD gateway). When I traced the gateway - I found it completely ignores the context filter values I defined. Anyone has solution? R.

Trying to update my IPad and it gets stuck on "backing up."
I am trying to update my ipad. I downloaded the newest update of itunes and that seemed to work. Plugged in the IPad and now it has been running a Backup for an hour. Is this normal? It says it is Syncing, but it is taking a long time
