Error with DataSocket in a dll
I want to use DataSocket in a dll built with LabVIEW7.
For testing, I call the dll in LabVIEW.
What is wrong with my attached example?
A DataSocketOpen allways brings time out (Server on the same machine).
Any idea?

I know that the timeout functions don't work in the new datasocket vis that come with LabVIEW 6. Thanks to members of this group, I found the old ones in ...platform/dataskt.llb and built some vis that do what I want. Then I compiled them into a DLL and called it from my C program. I got an error message: "LABVIEW.LIB not called from a LabVIEW process". This was followed by a crash so sever that a reboot was required (Win 98, sigh). ANY call that caused LV runtime to initialize caused this crash. Is there any way to make these older datasocket functions compatible with a version 6 DLL and runtime library?
RichI have never tried what you are proposing but the prospects of success seem a little on the slim side. Plus even if you did get it working once, you might later findout that it was a fluke that you can't reproduce.
Another potential solution is to build a watchdog function that aborts and restarts the datasocket process if it hangs without a timeout. I've had to do this for VI server and its not hard.
Or you could take the datasocket VIs, gut them and build inside them equivalent functionality using a different protocol--like a TCP connection, for example.
As long as your rebuilt code has the same functionality when viewed from a caller, the rest of your application won't know (or care) about the change.

For running SharePoint Designer 2013, you need to install Microsoft .NET 4.0 Framework or higher.
Please uninstall the Microsoft .NET 4.0 Framework, and install it again. After that, reboot your machine.

I am having a lot of trouble downloading itunes.My latest error message is that MediaToolbox.dll is missing. I have been trying to fix this for three days now .And it all started with the last update .Can anyone help?
Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

In fact i change the dll because the one which php install give us is not compatible.
I choose the one which is provides with wampserver 2.0i.

with instantclient_11_1g
Next i'll create environnement variables

Hello everyone,
I have been searching and trying to make this work for the last few days. The problem is that I need to run some examples of a device's sdk. When i try to load them I get a error message displayed about niSTCu.dll missing("This application has failed to start because niSTCu.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."). The thing is that I have installed quite diferrent versions of niDaq and the last clean install(I erased the other previous versions) was with the one mentioned above(the latest one). I don't know if I need to re-install the labview itself but I did re-install the daq. I dont know were to find that dll, I even installed the GPIB driver ni-488.2 and still I have that problem. I really need to run it please help!!!!
David.It is a place to post but you seem to be unwilling to provide enough information for anyone to help. You refuse to post this example code. If you would do that simple thing, someone would know what LabVIEW functions are being used and what driver is required. Why can't you do this simple task? The problem is not with LabVIEW.
If you have problems talking to a GPIB instrument, don't even think of posting unless you provide the make and model of the instrument.
Edit - it seems that dll is part of the obsolete traditional DAQ driver - not DAQmx.

Itunes won't download at all because it says something is missing but won't say what. Now what do I do? Just updated firefox. While trying to run it show error message : "The application or DLL C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\sqlite3.dll is not a valid Windows image. I cannot install iTunes. I get a Windows Error 126 and missing msvcr80.dll. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing based on all the suggestions, but still have an issue. I've removed all the services, tried moving the dll files as suggested, but I still have no success. Spent all day on this issue. I am running windows 7.
Sorry to hear this isn't going smoothly for you. Try Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates. You may have seen some of the suggestions here before but is has taken some users more than one attempt.

I can't open ITunes, I have an error message that says MSVCR80.dll is not found. Is anyone able to help solve this issue for me. I have tried to unistall and reinstall ITunes twice but continue to get the same error message.
A msi file is short for microsoft installer. It normally is for installation, removal, and maintenance for a program. So iTunes.msi would be used for the updating of the program. For some reason it isnt finding this so we can't update, install, or remove it.
From what I have seen windows installer cleanup utility solved related problems before.
I found this forum about removing and installing a new iTunes. It was about someone who was trying to isntall iTunes, and was looking for msi file and asked for help. Using this should allow you to be able to install iTunes. It won't give you the msi file but will allow you to isntall iTunes over again.
This was what was said.
Another option in case you can't get an msi. (Or even if you can ... the msi's mentioned in the messages may be damaged rather than missing.)
Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Restart the PC, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -

I have a problem with acrobat reader on my laptop.
My OS is Vista Home Premium.
I had Master collection CS4 installed.
When starting up acrobat reader; i got following error:

I simultaneously had a problem with Dreamweaver.
I think all this is caused by an Side By Side configuration issue.
I've tried to do following steps:
-redistibrutable 2008 c++ package geinstall
-system recoverage tool
-reinstall cs4 master collection
-uninstall master collection, clean up, install reeware acrobat reader
-uninstall acrobat reader, ccleaner register issues resolver , also older than 24 uur , reboot, install acrobat reader freeware
-revo uninstall tool to remove acrobat
none of the above actions were successful.
What could u suggest or give as a solution.
Atm i'm using an altarnative pdf-reader.
But as i bought the master collection,
i'd rather have my adobe acrobat reader pro and dreamweaver working.

I am sorry, I do not have an answer just a similar problem.
I am no expert, but all these manifest files are to ensure that different developers can ensure that the appropriate versions of common libraries are used by particular versions of their software.
Deatils are below. The original problem was a corrupted manifest file, probably due to a disk error. This resulted in several programs failing to run. In particular I was unable to access backup on my Windows Home Server. From the logs I was able to identify the manifest file in error and located a copy of a file with the same name on another of my computers. Using notepad I then changed the file causing the problem to match the file on the other computer.
This appeared to resolve all my problems.
When the Acrobat Reader updated itself, however, the"failed to load core DLL" message appeared. Simply uninstalling all adobe programs and re-installing makes no difference.
If you have the solution please post.
If not, I will continue to research this problem.

FIM 2010 Sync not running with status "Stopped-extension-dll-exception"
we are getting the following error for all our extensions when trying to run the Sync Operations. All extensions have similar errors with event ID 6159 generated in the application event log. They all started occurring after I deleted a attribute flow
rule in one of the agents. This is happening in Production and are facing lot of other issues because of this.
The management agent "Peoplesoft" failed on run profile "Full Import Full Synch" because of a problem with the initialize method on the extension object. The extension dll is "PeoplesoftExtension.dll" and the stack trace is:
Microsoft.MetadirectoryServices.UnexpectedDataException: String or binary data would be truncated.
The statement has been terminated.

Please advise on how to fix this as I have no clue where to start and am new to FIM.
Only Full Import(Staging ONLY) is successful.The error message you are getting is talking about data getting truncated. Any change that you had a data change alongside your other changes and now the length of data in one or more of your attributes is longer than it was?
I suspect that since you are new to FIM, something else has changed that you don't realize (beyond just the deletion of the one sync rule), but...
If truly the only thing that changed was a deletion of a flow rule, is there any chance that either of the following could have happened:
With the deletion of a flow rule the corresponding data is no longer going through the sync engine. Could there be some logic that due to precedence, is now using a different value, and this different value is too long for some other piece of logic.
With the deletion of a flow rule the corresponding data is no longer going through the sync engine. With this value missing, some extension logic is making a different choice and generating invalid data. Without the deleted data flow, there may be a null
value that extension logic is not properly dealing with.
As was suggested, the best thing to do may be to restore from backup and get the system back to a known state.
If you have development skills and if you have the source code to your custom rules extensions, it is fairly easy to debug and single step through the code. This of course must be done with extreme caution if you are in a production environment. You will
also need familiarity with how the FIM Synchronization engine works. Documentation is here:
