Service desk error creating support message "help- create support message"
Hi
I'm customizing SM 7.0 SP Stack 15 service desk scenario. I'm in a VAR SAP, so It's a mandatory scenario.
I've done all basic settings from General Settings, Connection to SAP, Online Documentation, ...,
Business Partners, iBase, Basic BC-Sets for Configuration, Number Ranges. After them , for Scenario-Specific Settings-> Service Desk->Service Provider I've done all these steps. At SAP System Solution Manager, I've created solutions at dswp transaction and EW Alert are centralized these steps works. Transaction notif_create works and iBase are well mantained.
The problem is when I try create a support message from satellite SAP system. I logged With a SAP user which is BP, key user and has authorizations in a satellite system and I choose help->create support message, so a pop-up appears and I fill the fields, and I press button (Save/Send). An error appears:
Error in Local Message System: Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible. Message was Not Created
In order solve the error I review:
- The satellite SAP system is at the iBase installed components.
- I've Assign Number Range for ABA notifications at SLF1 transaction.
- I've Checked number range for Service Desk Message at SLFN transaction.
- I've configured ABA Message transaction DNO_CUST01, transaction DNO_CUST04
- (satellite system) Transaction sm30, table BCOS_CUST:
Appl. + Dest. + +
OSS_MSG W SM_SMGCLNT010_BACK CUST620 1.0
TST_CUS 0120009939
RFC SM_SMGCLNT010_BACK works, SM recollects EW Alert from this satellite system
- (satellite system) I logged with a SAP user with these roles:
SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE
SAP_BC_CUS_CUSTOMIZER according SAP NOTE 834534
SAP_BC_CUS_ADMIN according SAP NOTE 834534
SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_CREATE
SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_ADMIN
All these roles are mantained.
- I've review SAP Notes 834534, 864195, 621927(I haven't applied this SAP Note because it's older)
Please could you help me?
Thanks and Regards
RaulHi,
When I try create a SAP message via help->create suuport message, I get the same error so I run help->create support message in a satellite system so I run help->create support message in Solution Manager
system. Also, a dump is generated in Solution Manager when I try create support message or from satellite or from solution manager.

Runtime Errors OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED
Date and Time 10.07.2008 10:17:26
Short text
Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible.
What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "CL_BOR_SERVICE_PPF============CP" had to be
terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
Error analysis
You attempted to use a 'NULL' object reference (points to 'nothing')
access a component (variable: " ").
An object reference must point to an object (an instance of a class)
before it can be used to access components.
Either the reference was never set or it was set to 'NULL' using the
CLEAR statement.
How to correct the error
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
keywords:
"OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED" " "
"CL_BOR_SERVICE_PPF============CP" or "CL_BOR_SERVICE_PPF============CM004"
"PROFILE_CONTAINS_PARTNERDEP"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
Information on where terminated
Termination occurred in the ABAP program "CL_BOR_SERVICE_PPF============CP" -
in "PROFILE_CONTAINS_PARTNERDEP".
The main program was "SAPMSSY1 ".
In the source code you have the termination point in line 41
of the (Include) program "CL_BOR_SERVICE_PPF============CM004".

Error creating a database on oracle9i
I have win2k server SP2 with 30 Gb and 1.7Gb RAM.
I installed oracle9i software Ok.
But when I create a database an error appears in dbca (read or write error), I tried first a general purpose database, after I tried a new database with less options but the same error appears.
I also tried create sql scripts and run manually de creation of the database, but it says that is not connected to oracle.
In a .trc file a found this text:
*** SESSION ID:(7.3) 2002-06-14 16:08:21.000
ORA-01501: CREATE DATABASE ha fallado // failed to create the database
ORA-01990: error al abrir el archivo de contrase?as 'C:\oracle\ora90\DATABASE\PWDaiac.ORA'
// error on open passwords file
ORA-27041: no se ha podido abrir el archivo
// cannot open file
OSD-04002: no se ha podido abrir el archivo
// cannot open file
O/S-Error: (OS 2) El sistema no puede hallar el archivo especificado.
// the system cannot find the file specified
Any idea?
ThanksNo schemas have been created. You should at least have the defaults schema SYS and SYSTEM, isn't it ?
Well, you can read the documentation about import :
http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/server.920/a96652/ch02.htm#SUTIL002
Then comeback for further question.

10gR2 under Solaris 10: Error creating sample database
I am attempting to install 10gR2 on a Sun Ultra 10 Sparc workstation running Solaris 10. I successfully configured the ASM drives and loaded the software, and am now attempting to install the actual database software.
While the installer is running the Database Configuration Assistant, the second "recommended" configuration program, I get an error almost halfway through that says "ORA-19879: error reading backup piece". Looking through the logs kept by the Assistant, I find this entry:

I couldn't find anything wrong in "example.dmp", and I couldn't find "change_on_install" in the directory listed, even while the error window was still on the screen. Most of the errors in the log following this fragment have to do with tablespace EXAMPLE not being there.
Someone else with a similar problem solved it by installing the database software without the sample databases. I'll give that a try tomorrow, but I'd still like to know where I'm even supposed to look to find the problem I had above.
Thanks,
Mike McCormickOkay, I've found at least one source for this problem. There is a script called mkplug.sql in the demo/schema directory that had a line that began "host imp .....". 'imp' is in the db_1/bin directory, which the PATH variable does not yet point to.
So, my question now is whether I should change "host imp..." to "host $ORACLE_HOME/bin/imp..." in all the files it appears in (sted_mkplug.sql and sdoepsgv.sql, as well as mkplug.sql), or add $ORACLE_HOME/bin to the PATH variable manually.
What I'm going to try is to deinstall the database, scrap the directories, then reload the software only. After that, I'll edit the files in the demo directory and use dbca to create the demo directories.

Error creating domain - need help!
I have downloaded weblogic 10.3.5 (the one without OEPE), i installed it first, then i downloaded Oracle Forms and Reports 11gR2 (11.1.2.0.0), which, as i read in the compatibility matrix, works with 10.3.5 WLS.
It's very annoying that sometimes during installations there are many errors and no one provide an official solution for these, people always should search on forums for solution for these problems... even if i followed all the correct steps of installing WLS + Forms & Reports, i'm still facing with annoying error messages for which i didn't find a solution.
I deinstalled it, installed again, 4-5 times, deleted all remaining files, so as if i did not have installed anything about these products. Also, my Windows OS was reinstalled 2 days ago.
This is the .out file (part of it).

Error creating new database in 8.1.7
I have one database set on 4k blocks up and running, and am trying to create a second one with 16k (16384) blocks but run into the following error-
ORA-22288: file or LOB operation FILEOPEN failed
- during the JServer initialization phase or database creation. Is this error internal, or is it fixable?Today, I have completed the database creation sucsessfully.
I just do like this:
1. modified the sem.h file and change some params.
semmni 100
semmsl processes+10
segmns (db total processes)+10
2. patch glibc-2.1.3-stubs.tar.gz
that's all.
I regard that I still be sucesessful if i haven't modified the sem.h file.because the default is fitable. -

Database connection error | created a new datasource | web application
Hi,
I am trying to deploy a J2EE web application on SAP Netweaver 7.0. I have to connect to a Oracle database schema (Not the default schema used by SAP). I am using Java and JDBC to make connections to the database.
In order to accomplish this, I created a new data source in Visual Admin. Referenced this in the web.xml and deployed the application. The application is deployed successfully, without any errors or warnings.
However, when ever the Java program connects and executes a prepared statement, I get this error in the database logs
bc.direct.DirectPreparedStatement#Java#com.sap.sql_0003#com.sap.sql.log.OpenSQLResourceBundle#SQL error occurred on connection xxxx111:xxx:xxx: code=942, state="42000", message="ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

#solad011:pidb:PIUSER#SELECT "XMLVALUE" FROM "BC_DDDBTABLERT" WHERE "NAME" = ?#
In java code, there are no references to this table "BC_DDDBTABLERT". I am trying to execute a SQL select for entirely different table. Why I am I getting this error?Hi,
System copy NW 70 - Error in "export from java database" phase
I am doing system copy of BI7.0 (Abap+Java) stack, I am getting error in

When I tried to run the query mentioned in SAP Note 1120872: ,

I tried your Native_SQL also, but same error.

Hi.
I am using the Oracle Database Configuration Assistant to create a database.
It gives me an error Listener start failed, maybe already running.
Later gives a message Listener configuration complete.
The listener if it was running also it automatically goes down after this.
I can see the database but not able to enter it or use it.
The following is an extract from my Listener.log file.

"TNS: Protocol adapter error" while creating a database
Hi All,
I´m new to Oracle and trying to create a database.
We use Oracle 8.1.7
I´m using the Database Configuration Assistant. The problem is when creating the database I get the error:
TNS-12560 TNS: Protocol adapter error
Any help will be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Carlos.Do you have ORACLE_HOME and/or ORACLE_SID defined in the environment which are different than the settings for the new database that you are trying to create?

Hope you can help me with this. Thanks! Not really, because the error message you have posted generally relates to a syntax or typing error and you haven't posted any other information. We need version of the DB and the text of what you are trying to do. But before you post that, have you tried the documentation?

Error While creating new database connection from HFM workspace
Hi,
We have recently installed HFM and was trying to create database connection from database connection manager in HFM workspace.
I am getting below error:
"Error connecting to database connection : no HssJNIDriver950 in java.library.path" initially and later
"Error connecting to database connection : com/hyperion/ap/adm/HssConn".
Any information in this direction would helpful.

another doubt related to same.=================================
A couple of important points.
First, the listener is a server side only process. It's entire purpose in life is to receive requests for connections to databases and set up those connections. Once the connection is established, the listener is out of the picture. It creates the connection. It doesn't sustain the connection. One listener, with the default name of LISTENER, running from one oracle home, listening on a single port, will serve multiple database instances of multiple versions running from multiple homes. It is an unnecessary complexity to try to have multiple listeners or to name the listener as if it belongs to a particular database. That would be like the telephone company building a separate switchboard for each customer.
Additional notes on the listener: One listener is capable of listening on multiple ports. But please notice that it is the listener using these ports, not the database instance. You can't bind a specific listener port to a specific db instance. Similarly, one listener is capable of listnening on multiple IP addresses (in the case of a server with multiple NICs) But just like the port, you can't bind a specific ip address to a specific db instance.
Second, the tnsnames.ora file is a client side issue. It's purpose is for address resolution - the tns equivalent of the 'hosts' file further down the network stack. The only reason it exists on a host machine is because that machine can also run client processes.
Assume you have the following in your tnsnames.ora:
larry =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = myhost)(PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVICE_NAME = curley)
)Now, when you issue a connect, say like this:
$> sqlplus scott/tiger@larrytns will look in your tnsnames.ora for an entry called 'larry'. Next, tns sends a request to (PORT = 1521) on (HOST = myhost) using (PROTOCOL = TCP), asking for a connection to (SERVICE_NAME = curley).
Where is (HOST = myhost) on the network? When the request gets passed from tns to the next layer in the network stack, the name 'myhost' will get resolved to an IP address, either via a local 'hosts' file, via DNS, or possibly other less used mechanisms. You can also hard-code the ip address (HOST = 123.456.789.101) in the tnsnames.ora.
Next, the request arrives at port 1521 on myhost. Hopefully, there is a listener on myhost configured to listen on port 1521, and that listener knows about SERVICE_NAME = curley. If so, you'll be connected.
What can go wrong?
First, there may not be an entry for 'larry' in your tnsnames. In that case you get "ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified" No need to go looking for a problem on the host, with the listener, etc. If you can't place a telephone call because you don't know the number (can't find your telephone directory (tnsnames.ora) or can't find the party you are looking for listed in it (no entry for larry)) you don't look for problems at the telephone switchboard.
Maybe the entry for larry was found, but myhost couldn't be resolved to an IP address (say there was no entry for myhost in the local hosts file). This will result in "ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist"
Maybe there was an entry for myserver in the local hosts file, but it specified a bad IP address. This will result in "ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist"
Maybe the IP was good, but there is no listener running: "ORA-12541: TNS:no listener"
Maybe the IP was good, there is a listener at myhost, but it is listening on a different port. "ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error"
Maybe the IP was good, there is a listener at myhost, it is listening on the specified port, but doesn't know about SERVICE_NAME = curley. "ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor"
Third: If the client is on the same machine as the db instance, it is possible to connect without referencing tnsnames and without going through the listener.
Now, when you issue a connect, say like this:
$> sqlplus scott/tigertns will attempt to establish an IPC connection to the db instance. How does it know the name of the instance? It uses the current value of the enviornment variable ORACLE_SID. So...
$> export ORACLE_SID=fred
$> sqlplus scott/tigerIt will attempt to connect to the instance known as "fred". If there is no such instance, it will, of course, fail. Also, if there is no value set for ORACLE_SID, the connect will fail.

ERROR:
ORA-12162: TNS:net service name is incorrectly specifiedOk, that is how we get from the client connection request to the listener. What about the listener's part of all this?
The listener is very simple. It's job is to listen for connection requests and make the connection (server process) between the client and the database instance. Once that connection is made, the listener is out of the picture. If you were to kill the listener, all existing connections would continue. The listener is configured with the listener.ora file, but if that file doesn't exist, the listener is quite capable of starting up with all default values. One common mistake with the listner configuration is to specify "HOST=localhost" or "HOST=127.0.01". This is a NONROUTABLE ip address. LOCALHOST and ip address 127.0.0.1 always mean "this machine on which I am sitting". So, all computers are known as "localhost" or "127.0.0.1". If you specify this address, the listener will only be capable of receiving requests from the machine on which it is running. If you specified that address in your tnsnames file - on a remote client machine - the request would be routed to the machine on which the requesting client resides. Probably not what you want.

A question about CREATE PUBLIC DATABASE LINK and ORA-12154 error
Dear all,
I have a problem about public database link creation and I would appreciate if you could kindly give me a hand. I have the following connection parameters in my
tnsnames.ora file:
DGPAPROD.WORLD =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS = (COMMUNITY=tcp.world)
(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=ORASR001)(PORT=1521)
(CONNECT_DATA = (SID = DGPAPROD))
...Having the above mentioned parameters I can connect to this remote database directly in a SQL*Plus shell:
$ sqlplus username/[email protected] works pretty well and the connection is established without any problem.
Now, what I would like to do is to create a public database link to this remote database in order to avoid the user/connection switching for viewing the
content of this database. I proceeded according to the syntax indicated in the Oracle online documentation:

Therefore I run the following in order to create a public database link
CREATE PUBLIC DATABASE LINK SR001_dblink CONNECT TO user IDENTIFIED BY password USING 'DGPAPROD.WORLD';Apparently there is no error and the link is created successfully. However it cannot resolve the remote host and whenever I run the following query
(myenterprise is the name of a table in that remote database)
SELECT *
FROM myenterprise@SR001_dblink
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specifiedWhat causes this problem?
Thanks in advance,

You must have defined DGPAPROD.WORLD in tnsnames.oar on server where you DB is runnig.Hello there,
Thanks a lot for this nice solution. In fact I had to add the connection parameters into the tnsnames.ora file of the server on which the link was created (not the tnsnames.ora of my oracle client stored on the localhost)
After a bit googling I found another solution that allows to create the database link:
CREATE PUBLIC DATABASE LINK SR001_dblink CONNECT TO user IDENTIFIED BY password USING '(DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS_LIST = (ADDRESS = (COMMUNITY=tcp.world)
(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=ip_adresse)(PORT=1521)))(CONNECT_DATA = (SID = GPAPROD)))';Thanks a lot for your help!

Ask help About Create Direct Database Request
Hi, all.
When I using the Create Direct Database Request, how can I specify a variable which can used to receive multiple input value?
My SQL like this:
select... from table t1 where t1.c1 in('@{v_c1}{001})
where, v_c1 is the variabe name, 001 is the defaut value of the variable.
But, it doesn' work.
If it's the systax error, then how can I correct it?
Thank you in advance.Hi katherine,

Second thing is go to Administration/Manage privileages/Direct database privileage is there.
