ERRORS IN PORTAL WHEN DROPPING SCHEMA OWNER

I ran a PDK demo script and added 2 db packages to a schema in the portal repository. After running theses porlets, I decided to attempt to create my own. Prior to adding to the schema I wanted to clean out the old db packages. I thought the easy way would be to drop the user schema and recreate it clean. I attempted to drop the user schema by entering portal as orcladmin, clicking on navigator, then db objects, selected the schema I wanted to drop and it sat there for a few minutes and returned errors. I then opened SQLplus and dropped the user cascade. I noticed that the provider is still in the providers tab list, but can't delete it. I then attempted to re-create the schema using same name and I get additional errors in portal (see upload file: createrror2.jpg. I need to 1) drop the old provider and 2) recreate a new schema and provider that I will use for my portal/portlets.
Any suggestions.

  • Error: Cannot drop schema because it is being referenced by object

    My database has a schema with the same name as a user (let's call it 'username'). This schema was not explicitly created. I want to drop the User 'username' but I have to drop the schema 'username' first; However, when I tried to do that I got the message...
    "Cannot drop schema 'username' because it is being referenced by object 'vw_Inventory'
    There is a view named 'vw_Inventory' but I don't see where it's referencing this schema, or any schema for that matter. Why would I get this error and how do I resolve it so I can drop the Schema and User?
    Darrell H Burns

    If a Schema has some objects in it, then you cannot drop that Schema until you remove all the objects out of it. You can change the schema owner
    to another database principal and drop the user like,
    Alter Authorization ON Schema::username TO DBO; Drop User username;
    other option would be
    Transfer the username schema objects to a different schema and drop username schema and user like.
    Alter Schema DBO Transfer Username.[OBEJECTNAME] ;
    --need to repeat this until you transfer all objects under this schema
    Drop Schema username;
    Drop User username;

  • I am getting a "Internal error occurred" message when I try to drag and drop common library items on to my canvas.

    Hi,
    I am getting a "Internal error occurred" message when I try to drag and drop common library items on to my canvas.
    I have noticed that there are a number of these error messages and tried one solution of renaming a couple of files, I tried this and no joy.
    Has any one go a solution for this before I purchase Fireworks please?
    Kind regards,
    Dave G

    I can no longer get Firework CS6 to run - The program loads but without any toolbars/properties etc.  It just has an 'AN INTERNAL ERROR OCCURRED' message that cannot be dismissed.  The only way to close the program is via Task Manager (this is on a Window 8 PC).  I have uninstalled the program, rebooted the PC and re-installed (several times) but it has not resolved the problem.
    Fireworks is part of my Creative Cloud subscription and when reporting this via the live chat I was given the telephone number for Seagate Drives ??
    Anybody got a solution?
    Or, does anybody know how to open native Fireworks CS6 png files in Photoshop *but* with all the Fireworks layers preserved.
    Think I'll also post this as a new topic as the problem is slightly different to SirBasher's issue.

  • Including Schema owner when generating DDL scripts

    Designer 9.0.4.6
    How do i set the option to include the schema owner prefix in the DDL scripts being generate ("generate server model from database") in design editor?

    Generating from the DB Admin tab does not prefix the objects I am generating with the schema name. There isn't a generator preference (that I've found at least) to accomplish this. Has anyone been able to generate database objects prefixed with the schema name?

    The problem is, even though schema owner is listed as SAPSID, why is SAPR3 being used to connect to Oracle.

    HI,
    How did the user 1 change the password?. This error is generally encountered when a user changes the passward through SQLPLUS prior to changing it through application server. Follow the following solution it should fix it.
    Thanks
    Rakesh Patel
    IT Manager Bearing Point.
    1. Log into Oracle Directory Manager and find the Portal db schema password. You can use the following note to assist you with this:
    Note.198800.1 How to get the Portal schema password of the Infrastructure database.
    2. Once you have the password, log into sqlplus as the sys user and change the Por
    tal password to the value in Oracle Directory Manager.
    3. Delete all the files under the folders
    /<MIDTIER>/Apache/modplsql/cache/plsql
    /<MIDTIER>/Apache/modplsql/cache/session
    4. Restart the midtier. Test Portal again by attempting to navigate to it. If still getting the error, then try to change t
    he Portal schema password again through application server control to the value
    from Oracle Directory Manager. To change the value in application server contro
    l, try these steps:
    6.4.1 Changing Schema Passwords Using the Application Server Control Console
    Some schemas store their passwords in Oracle Internet Directory. You must change their passwords using the Application Server Control Console
    so the password is updated in both the database and Oracle Internet Directory.
    To change a schema password using the Application Server Control Console:
    1. Depending on the schema, navigate to the home page for the middle-tier in
    stance or the Infrastructure. Refer to Table 6-2 to determine which home page to
    use.
    2. On the home page, click Infrastructure.
    3. On the Infrastructure page, click Change Schema Password.
    4. On the Change Schema Password page, select the schema. Enter the new password in the Password and Confi
    rm Password fields. Click OK.
    5. Test Portal again and update the tar.

  • OPS$, Schema Owner and dbs_ora_schema env variable.

    HI All.
    Have a situation where we've copied a system from one location to another using an online backup. The database is up and running (open) and lookin good.
    However, when I goto start SAP, I get a ORA-1403 and ORA-1017 error on startup. As best as I can tell, the OPS$ mechanism created for the base system (before the online restore) is using SAPSID as the owner. However, the schema owner from the database we used for the recovery is SAPR3.
    Now when the system goes to logon, OPS$ is looking to fetch SAPSID as the schema owner, but the effective schema owner is SAPR3. Rerunning the oradbusr. sql script as per note 361641 does not change anything.
    <b>Issue is related to the environment variable "dbs_ora_schema" - it is currently set to SAPSID, but I need to change it to SAPR3. Can someone offer the proper syntax to change this value in AIX 5.3?</b>
    Thanks,
    Tim
    Thanks!!

    Hello Tim,
    What i apprehend is that the SAP<SCHEMA-ID> or the password for the same has changed. When u have copied the db of another SID the SAP<SCHEMA-ID> will be according to the earlier SID so it may required to be renamed as per the new SID and so also the naming services might have changed for which the listner  may not work properly. Try to rename the SAP<SCHEMA-ID>  and reset the password via  brtools. The SQL wont work in case of changing the password of SAP<SCHEMA-ID> . First do it from SQL then reset the password again using Brtools.
    Comparing tns.ora and listnr.ora files of both the systems will give u a fair idea on the prob.
    In the sap server run BRTOLS from cmd prompt then proceed as follows
    Brtools----->Choose Additional Functions--->Choose Change Password of DB user
    Enter choice 2(Database User/Password)
    In user prompt give sapc11 and in password prompt put the password u had changed earlier ie abc123.
    Then enter c (for continue) u will be prompted for the new password
    When u put the new password it wont be displayed in the prompt just type
    Complete the entire guided process.
    Hope this resolves your prob.
    Regards.

    Check that the schema of your database (ex: select owner from dba_tables where table_name='T000';) really
    match the dbs_ora_schema environment variable (you might change dbs_ora_schema=SAPBWD to the real schema of your DB).
    then check
    su - <sid>adm
    R3trans -d
    it should return code 0

  • Prefixing the schema owner to the table name

    I have entity objects in my JClient app that were created from tables owned by USER1. When I connect to my JClient app as USER2 the DML fails because the table names are not prefixed by the table owner (USER1). I don't want to use public synonyms and I don't want to customize my view objects just to prefix the table names with the table owner. How could I prefix all of the table names with the table/schema owner by default?

    We have been using another approach. We change the "current schema" at the db session level. This avoids having to define public synonyms and having to fully qualify names. It also allows us to have the same application schema defined multiple times in a db instance, which is useful for testing.
    While our real code is bit more complicated, basically we implement the afterConnect() and prepareSession() methods on an appication module with a call to our utility method:
    protected void afterConnect() {
    super.afterConnect();
    setupSession('hr');
    protected void setupSession(String currentSchema) {
    try {
    log.debug("Setting current schema to: " + currentSchema +
    " via: call alter session set current schema " + currentSchema);
    Statement stmt =
    getDBTransaction().createStatement(DBTransaction.DEFAULT);
    stmt.execute("alter session set current_schema=" + currentSchema);
    stmt.close();
    } catch (SQLException e) {
    if (e.getErrorCode() == 1435) {
    log.info("Couldn't set the current_schema to " + currentSchema +
    " because it doesn't exist in the target db.");
    } else {
    log.error("Error setting current_schema in DB context!", e);
    } catch (Exception e) {
    log.error("Error setting current_schema in DB context!", e);
    }

  • File Error: Unknown File when trying to render a Motion Lower third

    I'm getting this: "File Error: Unknown File" when trying to render a Lower third made in the Motion tab. I'm using FCP 6.0.6 and haven't had any issues with this before. It seems to work fine if there is just text, but as soon as I apply any effect, like a drop shadow, I get that error message.
    Thanks,
    Joe

  • Error Extending 2012 R2 AD Schema for Exchange 2013 RTM/CU6/CU7 (for Office 365 attributes)

    Hello all,
    I am a sysadmin at a 3 campus school, and am trying to extend our AD schema to include Exchange 2013 attributes so that we can configure groups synced to Office 365 using DirSync. However it keeps failing at the same point each time.
    I have tried with RTM first, and then CU6, but I keep getting the same error and am unsure how to fix it.
    "repadmin /showrepl" says that our 3 DCs are replicating with no issues, and I'm trying to extend the schema using an "Enterprise Admin"/"Schema Admin" account on our schema master DC.
    Our domain/forest functional level is Server 2008R2, and we do not have an Exchange server set up already - if that helps.
    The PowerShell error is:
    PS C:\Users\rbbr\Desktop\Exchange> .\setup /PrepareSchema /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms

    An error has occurred in the program
    The schema attribute "CN=ms-DS-GeoCoordinates-Altitude,CN=Schema,CN=Configuration,DC=kurnai,DC=lan" does exist in the schema, but I don't know what to do or where to go from here.
    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    I just tried .\setup /PrepareAD /OrganizationName:kurnaicollege /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms, and got the exact same error as above.
    Is there a way to delete the offending schema attributes, or to force its overwrite or something?
    EDIT: I am also getting these eventvwr errors when running /PrepareAD, if it helps:

    Hi,
    This is usually a SERVER SIDE DATABASE PROBLEM or SQLNET LISTENER (server side) PROBLEM.  The client side should initially be ignored and instead the server should be investigated. In rare cases, this can be caused by client
    side memory or other resource problem, or a DLL version mismatch, but this is
    unlikely.
    Enlist the assistance of your DBA.  Then reproduce the ORA-3113 error on your
    client application.  Ask your DBA to look at the database side Alert.log and
    trace files and look for ANY activity.  Any activity that coincides with your
    ORA-3113 will be a clue.
