ES3 conversion to PDF then uploaded to forms central

I used LC to make the form then printed as pdf then applied the fields according to post http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2533
when i upload form there is no url given to post on website. Did i goof my import export or am i just missing something. Any help will be appreciated. thank you.

Hi;
The Import a PDF Form feature allows you to collect and analyze the form data through FormsCentral, it does not make the form a web form, there is no associated URL.  You can of course make the FormsCentral enabled PDF you Save/download available for download from your own web site for users to fill out in Adobe Reader, but there is no web version of the PDF.
Thanks,
Josh

  • Is it possible to edit forms IN forms central that were created in Adobe, then uploaded to forms central?

I would like to be able to edit forms that were previously created in Acrobat after uploading them to FormsCentral in the same way that I can edit a form which was created directly in forms central. Is this possible?

No, all LCD forms can only be edited in LCD.
And the second trial is probably not going to work, unless you install it
    on a different computer.
The best way to salvage your form, in my experience, is to print it to the
Adobe PDF printer, creating a new flat PDF file and then running the Form
Detection Wizard in Acrobat on it and continuing from there. It probably
won't do a perfect job, but it should recognize some of the fields.

  • Printing a fillable .pdf originally created in Forms Central, but not submitted properly?

    HELP!
I created a scholarship application for High School Seniors, but most of them found the submit button didn't work for them, so they just saved and attached the fillable .pdf to an e-mail.  So, now I have these .pdf files that because they were created in Forms Central, cannot be uploaded to Forms Central for data manipulation.   Also, it seems I an unable to easily print these files with the filled sections visible.  I also tried converting them to .docx and .xlsx, but the filled data didn't convert.   I need to distribute these applications to my committee somehow for voting!   If I can't print them, nor can I distribute them through Forms Central... what can I do???

This FAQ explains why the Submit button may not work.
    http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2653
They need to be filled out using Adobe Reader. The students filled them out with a PDF Reader that doesn't properly support PDF forms.
Do you have Adobe Acrobat? If you open those forms in Adobe Acrobat and do a save as it will fix the issue.

  • Submit form from PDF  - you must allow form central before it will submit

When you submit a form within a pdf document, it display "allow to connect to form central". You must click to allow before form will submit.
I think most people will not do this step. Is there a way to bipass that from coming up?
I would like to click submit button and have only the confirmation display.
    Thanks,
    Patti

  • Please help me! iBooks delete all pdfs then uploads all at every sync.

Hi everyone, I need some help, much appreciated if anyone can give me a hand. I have hundreds of heavy PDF files I use in a daily basis for Uni, about 10GB in my iPad 3 (the one pre-air) is of PDFs. I ran into an issue today for the first time ever, I uploaded a new file to iBooks via ibook in the iMac (with Maverick) + iTunes as usual and the author had lots of unusual characters something like "%674f88uh7(*&" ok...after that file was upoloaded, all other pdfs started to freeze and not loading anymore. So I delete that file and after that nothing worked since. all files showing that loading icon but nothing..so I deleted my entire library (Noooooo) and uplaoded everything again. Now everytime I add a new pdf, the entire library (10GB) of books go grey, then disappear and start loading 1 by 1 all over again, no more incremental uploads like I used to have before/ I tried all settings possible, but again, if I hit sync on iTunes, the iPad library empties out, and starts loading all books, this takes a long hour to complete...I need help please, what am i doing wrong?
    Thanks!

Ok, this has happened to me twice now. I've been using weave since pre-1.0.
The first time I needed to wipe a cluttered firefox profile, then re-merged my sync and while it restored all of my bookmarks, it only caught half my passwords.
The second time, today, I needed to reinstall windows. I connected to firefox sync and selected merge, but the only bookmarks merged in were those I added recently, likely since the 1.4 update.
This is very troubling to me as there was never any warning that all of my data would not be secure. It was my fault for depending on it but now several years worth of bookmarks are just gone.
Am I using it wrong? When a new version comes out do I need to somehow re-sync everything? One would think that is taken care of automatically.
Please let us know if there is a way to recover our lost data.
And for the sake of other users please track this down and consider warning people they could lose their data.
    Thank you.

  • Modifying a PDF created from an Adobe Forms Central form.

I've created a PDF from an Adobe Forms Central online form (Create PDF from web page). I was surprised that all of the text fields were created for me, but was happy that I may not have to reverse engineer everything.
However the layout for the form is for a web-based submission and not really the right size for a PDF that I can attach in an email, potentially for printing. I'd like it to be printable at 8.5X11 if possible. There are also a few aspects of it that I would like to remove since it has instructions and the button for online submission. I want people to have the option of printing or filling out the form, saving it, and replying with it as an attachment.
Is it possible to modify the PDF at this point to reduce its size? Can I remove the instructions on what to do as well as the submit button, especially while saving the background coloring? It seems like there is quite a bit of wasted space with the headers/footers too. At 8.5X14, it still hangs over into page 2.
The form can be found at: https://adobeformscentral.com/?f=oEsnPs*6J8xiF7XlraAsLA
Any help would be appreciated, since I'm not the one who created the form and don't have any templates or anything that were used.
    Steve
    Acrobat Pro Ver 9.4.5

Steve, if you have access to the form in Formscentral, you can temporarily add a second page in Formscentral.  Go to the place you want a page break, and click on the + button on the left top of the field where you want the break, and click on the "Page break".  Now when you go to the HTML form it should show you only one page, with a next button to go to the second page.  You could then copy the URL into Acrobat's "Create PDF" and get tha page.  Then click on the next button in the HTML to go to the second page.  You should be able to create the second page from that one too, and then combine the 2 pages in your PDF.  When you're done you could remove the page break back in Formscentral.
    Hope that helps

  • Saving and distributing from Forms Central

After I create the fillable form and identify each box value, save it on desktop, then go to Forms Central to distribute, I'm not given the option of distributing. I have to send the saved form out several times to several different users, and cannot re-create the form each time. How do I save it and make it allow me to distribute again and again at later date?

It is unclear to me if you are trying to create an HTML workflow or PDF. Can you please clarify the exact steps you use to create the form and your desired means of distribution?

I have just purchased Forms Central and would like to know if it is possible to script queries of the form data that has been uploaded to forms central?

    Hi,
You can use built-in formulas for math and statistics to analyze your response data, please check how to do this at:http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-1413, Analyze and share your data section.

Seeing that Forms Central is being retired in July. I have designed a forms central form for my clients to fill in information about their build, but will now need to replace it. Does Adobe have a better program?

    Hi Steve,
logiforms (logiforms.com) supports both populating PDF's from a web form submission AND hosting and filling out PDF's directly. You can import your existing Adobe Form Central PDF's directly into logiforms. Here is a demo that shows how:  Importing your Adobe Form Central PDFs into logiforms.com - YouTube

observation: the point which is giving me headaches is how to get the file sent by my form, convert it into a File object, use my conversion tool and then deliver it to my upload tool so it can be stored.... i cant seem to get the File object from the request object ( tried getattribute and it returns null....) .

    Hello TSN,
    Test Screen Name wrote:
Picking just one point: PDF -> EPS -> PDF. This could not possibly do more than one page, because EPS is absolutely by definition a single page format. Therefore you must choose a page when exporting PDF to EPS.
    Thanks for your response.
I was thinking Microsoft... which has allowed multi-page eps files for years. But you're correct, this is normally an unsupported .eps format.
I solved the problem over the weekend by doing the following:
    1) I removed the suspect OTF font family but despite doing so, the folder still had two 'corrupted' but unused copies of an italic font. They refused to remove so I had to boot into Win7 SAFE mode to remove.
    2) After complete removal of the OTF font family. I reinstalled the OTF font *BUT* only from a different repository (oddly, this other OTF font set is slightly larger per font).
    3) Once installed, I tested with Flare, published and uploaded to Crocodoc SUCCESSFULLY. Yeah!
I don't have anymore time to test but the questions remain, such as, was it one or more of the following issues:
    a) Flare has a problem handling some OTF fonts or cannot error correct (the way other programs do) for marginal fonts or font errors?
    b) Was it the two corrupted fonts in the Windows/fonts folder?
    c) Was it the slightly different OTF fonts that I am no longer using?
    Take care

  • Error message when trying to upload a pdf file to a form

A user was trying to upload a pdf file to a form I created (Contractor Vanpool Application Form). The parameters I set, was that it had to be a pdf form, less than 20MB and a single file. She met these parameters, but when she hit the submit button, she received this dialogue box message:  Warning: JavaScript Window - File Attachments are not supported in FormsCentral PDF forms.  Please contact the form author to send the file attachments another way. This dialogue box prevented her from even getting as far as selecting the file and uploading. Another user was succesfully able to upload a form, so I know this is working.  So I changed the parameters to allow multiple files in any format, and she still had a problem.
She states is using windows 95, Internet Explorer. Help, Michelle

In Form Central, when I add a field, I select the Add File Attachment icon (see screen shot below - it is the 10th icon from the left, the paperclip over a sheet):
Then it allows me to fill in the field, describing the file to upload, and the properties to the right defining the file size limit, type of file and other properties.  This is all done through formscentral, thus allowing a user in my form to upload a file that is attached to the form when submitted.

  • Form conversion to PDF with Chinese characters

    Hello.
I have a Sap script form and it has Chinese characters in the title and footer.  It is converted to PDF then send it to email, at transaction SOST. The Chinese characters was replaced by '#'.
Our basis tried to install the device driver for PDF stated in sap note 999712, but still it didn't correct the form's output in the PDF file.  The form is in ZH and the font used in the form is CNSONG.  The transactions was also executed during ZH logon.  Would anybody know a solution to this?
    Thanks in advance!

    Doray,
For printing in PDF other than english characters we have to create new font .
Go to SE73 and create new font family Named ZCOUR_I6 and then execute the report RSTXPDF2 where in select the optin for activity to be performed as READ and SAVE the font file.
From control panel for to fonts and copy the COURIER NEW (TrueTYpe) font on to ur desktop .
Upload the the same font file using RSTXPDF2 by specifying it in the file name.
Then try to execute the tcode which u r usingh for converting the output to PDF and check whether the desired output has been converted.
Hope things are little clear for you.

  • Uploading Adobe form/PDF in CRM Webclient UI u2013 Framework?

Anyone know if its his possible?
I need to upload a PDF that previously been generated by SAP, downloaded, edited locally, then uploaded from the CRM webclient UI.
What method/function module should I use to upload and extract the data?
Is there any other way I can complete this procedure? Any suggestion?
To me it seems normal ABAP  cl_gui_frontend_services=>file_open_dialog  doesn't work so I cant use the "normal" methods.
    Thanks

It is possible, as it is available in Standard SAP without using Interactive Forms (assuming you just want to create a PDF with data from the system).
Take a look at the code present for the Account Fact Sheet PDF (use role SALESPRO and check an Account, the button is in the top frame under "More"; component BP_HEAD), it should give you a good idea. You just need a SmartForm that you populate correctly with your data, and you open that SmartForm in a pop-up after converting it into a PDF. The save/print buttons will come directly from Adobe Acrobat Reader.
    My personal steps are:
    1. Create a SmartForm
    2. Create a Handler class (inheriting IF_HTTP_EXTENSION)
    3. Create a service (transaction SCIF)
    4. Change the HANDLE_REQUEST of the Handler class to manage your data, retrieve attributes from URL and call the SmartForm to retrieve OTF data which is to be transformed into XString and create a PDF out of it
    5. Create a GET_URL method to create the URL string correctly
    6. Create a button in the UI that opens a pop-up with the right URL

How do I convert a word document into a pdf and then upload it to a web site so people can read it from my
site with Dreamweaver 4?. How can I do this? Can anyone please help? I'm only a newbie. Thanking you in anticipation.

First you need to install a means of printing to pdf from word.  I like cutepdf writer ( http://cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp ).  Once installed you will print the doc in word and under the printer selection you choose pdf.
Once you have the file you put it in your local site folders and upload it using Dreamweaver.  Be sure to link to it from a page so users can get to it and I would recommend giving the link a target of _black so it will open in a new window (see the properties inspector in DW).

I created a pdf form and then imported it to Forms Central for distribute. It is now loaded to my website and setup so a person clicks on the link to open the form. If you created it in Forms Central, you have to edit it there. I believe Forms Central is similar to LiveCycle Designer in that the form created is no longer able to be edited in Acrobat. I might be wrong, but that is my understanding. You add the submit button in Forms Central. Within Acrobat, you should be able to go to the forms menu and Manage Data to save the data to an Excel file. Others better with forms should be by to clarify things, but this should get you started. In the future you might find it better to post a forms question in the forms discussions.
