I am trying to build an ESB project with a deplyoment plan, or rather I'm trying to generate a deplyoment plan first.
I am stuck on this jaxb exception and would really appreciate some help.
I am using the correct jaxb version (I've tried several different version), I've set classpath in jdev (10.1.3.4) and the lib directories are correct in the ESBMetadataMigrationTaskdefs.xml:
<taskdef resource="oracle/tip/esb/client/anttasks/antlib.xml">
<classpath>
<pathelement location="${esbdeployment.home}/ESBMetadataMigration.jar"/>
<pathelement location="${commons.httpclient.home}/commons-httpclient-3.1.jar"/>
<pathelement location="${soa.suite.home}/lib/xmlparserv2.jar"/>
<pathelement location="${soa.suite.home}/integration/esb/lib/commons-logging.jar"/>
<pathelement location="${esbdeployment.home}/commons-codec-1.2.jar"/>
<pathelement location="${soa.suite.home}/integration/esb/lib/oraesb.jar"/>
<pathelement location="C:\esbdeploymentautomation\jaxb-ri-20120516\lib\activation.jar"/>
<pathelement location="C:\esbdeploymentautomation\jaxb-ri-20120516\lib\jaxb-api.jar"/>
<!--pathelement location="C:\esbdeploymentautomation\jaxb-ri-20120516\lib\jsr173_1.0_api.jar"/-->
<pathelement location="C:\esbdeploymentautomation\jaxb-ri-20120516\lib\jaxb-impl.jar"/>
</classpath>
</taskdef>
</project>

The SOA Suite may give you better support for this kind of ESB related questions.

  • ESB Deployment Automation Fault

    I'm using the ant ESB Deployment Automation tasks authored by Doug Gschwind and referenced in other threads. I get a build failed error when trying to extract an ESB deployment plan. The error states that the output file already exists but the directory where it resides cannot be written or the filename does not have a .xml extension.
    My set up is:
    D:\temp - contains ESBMetadataMigrationTaskdefs.xml, ESBMetadataMigration.jar, my ant project file and the output file (PMSProto1Plan.xml). Both the directory and file are not read only.
    I had to install commons-httpclient and also JAXB (from Sun Java Web Services Developer Kit). I did note that I had to find jsr173_1.0_api.jar under my JDeveloper home. I used your sample exampleBuild.xml as the basis of my ant file.
    My extract file looks like:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <project name="ESBMetadataDeployment" default="usage" basedir=".">
    <property name="esbProjectToDeploy" value="D:\Oracle\JDeveloper\jdev\mywork\CVSTest\LR\PMSProto1"/>
    <property name="deploymentPlanFilename" value="${basedir}/PMSProto1Plan.xml/"/>
    <import file="${basedir}/ESBMetadataMigrationTaskdefs.xml"/>
    <target name="test.ExtractESBDeploymentPlan">
    <extractESBDeploymentPlan sourceDir="${esbProjectToDeploy}" deploymentPlanFile="${deploymentPlanFilename}"/>
    </target>
    <target name="usage">
    <exec executable="ant" dir="${basedir}" vmlauncher="false">
    <arg value="-projecthelp"/>
    </exec>
    </target>
    </project>
    My ESBMetadataMigrationTaskdefs.xml looks like:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>

    I'm using JDev 10.1.3.3.0.4157 and SOA Suite 10.1.3.3
    Has anybody hit this issue before and hopefully a solution ? Thanks.

    For what it is worth I can confirm that what user531376 describes is the correct answer to the problem. Add this line:
    <delete file="${deploymentPlanFilename}" verbose="true"/>
    to the ExtractESBDeploymentPlan target and you should be fine.
    Maybe this blog post (shameless self-promotion) adds to your knowledge: http://technology.amis.nl/blog/?p=2371.
    Happy building, Sjoerd

  • ESB Invokation failed "exception on JaxRpc invoke: received empty response"

    I have a async bpel-process invoking an esb-routing-service whicht routes to an db-adapter-service for executing a select statement running about 2 minutes.
    Sometimes this invoke of the esb-service failes with this fault:
    <fault>
      <remoteFault xmlns="http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension">
      <part name="summary">
        <summary>exception on JaxRpc invoke: received empty response</summary>
      </part>
      </remoteFault>
    </fault>If i look inside the esb-console the instance completes successfully.
    Then i look at the logfile /opt/oracle/soa/as_1/j2ee/home/log/home_default_group_1/oc4j/log.xml and see this errormessages:

  • ESB Deployment without JDeveloper

    Hi,
    Can any one let me know how to deploy ESB Project (SOA Suite 10.1.3)
    without using JDeveloper.
    Essentially i am looking for 'ant' or 'obant' kind of utility for ESB deployment.
    I have used obant for BPEL deployment but can't find anywhere how to use it for ESB deployment.
    Regards
    Vikas Sharma

    ESB has an export/import facility. You can export from your dev environment, which will give you a zipfile.
    This zip can be moved and imported into another ESB environment.
    the export and import utilities are shipped with the ESB product.
    Marc.

    We need to create XSDs and needs to do the Marshalling and unmarshalling with the existing code in our project(like as above example code), code does not have any annotations like "@XmlRootElement/@XmlType" and we can not able to change the source code.
    I would like to know is there any solution to fix the above issue or any other ways to create XSDs and marshaling/unmarshalling(like MOXy..etc)?
    It would be great if i can get the solution from any one....May thanks in advance.

  • JAXB Exception: doesn't contain ObjectFactory.class or jaxb.index

    I'm able to run this fine using Idea, but as soon as I package the project into BuildDesk and install it, I keep getting this JAXB Exception.
    I do have the ObjectFactory.class file which was automatically generated for me, but I really don't know what's that jaxb.index. Any Idea on
    how to make this work, I just need to package this project up and submit it.
    Thanks.

    In fact, I am familiar with JAXB and used it in several projects. I wrote the ObjectFactory by myself, of course, we can generate it by using xjc command. The project runs well in eclipse or netbeans without this exception because the file is there.
    This exceptioin occurs only when I make installation package by using BuildDesk. I find when I don't choose the obfuscation options in BuildDesk, it runs well. I think the shrink/optimize/obfuscate operation destroyed the ObjectFactory.class when processing the .jar file. I think the solution is package the JAXB model into a separate jar and use it as a external library, so BuildDesk doesn't process it in any case. Thank you all the same. :)

    Hi,
    I hope you are deploying application through build file.
    Can you check build.xml file whether you had given correct Admin url and port number.
    Regards,
    Kal

  • Javax.enterprise.deploy.spi.exceptions.InvalidModuleException: [J2EE Deploy

    Hi,
    I'm using Weblogic Server 9.2. I'm having problems to deploy a .ear aplication.?:|
    When I try to install the aplication i get the following error:
    javax.enterprise.deploy.spi.exceptions.InvalidModuleException: [J2EE Deployment SPI:260105]Failed to create DDBeanRoot for application, 'sgi-core-1.0.jar'
    Could anyone say me how can I solve this error?
    The deployment descriptor weblogic-ejb-jar.xml seems to be correct.
    I'm using Andromda to generate the .ear file, so I don't know if it can be causing any problems
    If anyone could help me...
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    The J2EE Error code siply suggest that there is something wrong in your Deployment Descriptors...
    Can u please post the XML files available inside your "WEB-INF" directory?
    Thanks

  • ESB deployment/registration

    Hi All,
    We are trying to figure out the deployment/registration starteagy for ESB projects.As one can deploy BPEL using properties files for changing the runtime settings and use ant for command prompt deployment; as far as we can find ESB can only be registered from JDev.
    Any pointers to best practice for ESB deployment and if it could be done that way we can deploy BPEL projects after substituing properties like server name etc.
    Thanks

    Your problem is that you try to overload the webservice method 'loginFunc' - that is not possible in jax-ws without some additional parameters. I do not know how to do it from the top of my head, but try to investigate in the annotations that the stack trace mentions:
    Use @XmlType.name and @XmlType.namespace
    A quick and dirty solution would be to just rename one of the methods and so not to use overloading.

  • JBuilder 3.1 Deployment/JDBC Exception - Exhausted Resultset

    I just installed JBuilder 3.1 with Oracle 8i (8.1.6) on NT workstation w/SP5 and am receiving error "java.sql.SQLException: Exhausted Resultset" upon choosing deploy for sample "Auctions" application profile. I have an idea this has to do with the number of rows returned by SQL statement associated with ResultSet rset declaration in method getvalue but don't know for sure. What's happening here?
    Thanks in advance for any assistance...

    As far as i know u can encounter an exhausted resultset exception if the JDBC version is prior 2.0 and that , the same resultset is tried to iterate more than once...... coz this was what i have experienced...

  • Minimum packaging to deploy JAXB?

    What is the minimum set of jars I should ship to deploy XJC-generated classes?
    I'm trying to decide whether I can use JAXB, and one important factor is deployability. For my project, I can assume that the customer already has Java 1.4, but otherwise the application must be self-contained.
    I cannot ship the entire Web Services Developer Pack: that's far too large and complex for my needs, as I'm not building a web service. All I want is XML <-> Java translation using standardized APIs, and in the case of a known, fixed schema JAXB objects have better programmer convenience and memory efficiency than generic DOM trees.
    Is there an official distribution with a simple "jaxb-runtime.jar" I can use? At the moment, I'm taking individual jars out of the WSDP, trying to find the smallest set that works.
    Here's the minimum set of Jars that seem to work for running XJC generated classes.
    <fileset dir="${jwsdp}/jaxb/lib">
    <include name="jaxb-api.jar"/>
    <include name="jaxb-impl.jar"/>
    <include name="jaxb-libs.jar"/>
    </fileset>
    <fileset dir="${jwsdp}/jwsdp-shared/lib">
    <include name="jax-qname.jar"/>
    <include name="namespace.jar"/>
    <include name="relaxngDatatype.jar"/>
    <include name="xsdlib.jar"/>
    </fileset>
    Notably absent are the jars in jaxp/lib/endorsed. The large "xsdlib.jar" overlaps a lot with xercesImpl, but not enough to use it as a standalone xsd-aware jaxp parser, which I need for other reasons.
    Noteably present is a dependency on Relax NG, which I am not using.
    Unless JAXB packaging improves, I'll be using Xerces-J plus bare DOM. Tell me there's a better way?

    I think we do not have to take the files mentioned in second <fileset/> to the client. At runtime we need:
    jaxb-api.jar, jaxb-ri.jar(jaxb-impl.jar), jaxb-libs.jar, xerces.jar and generated jar for the package. It worked for me.
    Is there an official distribution with a simple
    "jaxb-runtime.jar" I can use? The JAXB system is divided into two main parts that are completely independent.
    1. Generating classes
    2. Creating objects at runtime
    Obviouly first part needs more XML specific jars, but for second part (in which client is interested) we don't need them.
    So there can't be a true "jaxb-runtime.jar".

  • Application deployment Security Exception in OIM

    Hi All,
    We tried to deploy application for site minder login page called "SSPR application"

  • JAXB Exception while

    Hi,
    Greetings.
    I don't know if this is a correct forum to place this query. Kindly bear with me.
    I am having some special characters in an XML which i parse using JAXB and store in the DB (Oracle). Current implementation is using ISO-8859-1.
    Using this encoding some special characters like 'µ' gets converted to '?' on retrieval from DB. Hence wrongly displayed in Java Webstart based Client.
    I have problem only while retrieval from DB. 'µ' gets stored properly in DB on insert.
    I tried using 'UTF-8' encoding in the XML, but i get the following exception.
    javax.xml.stream.XMLStreamException
    javax.xml.stream.XMLStreamException
         at com.bea.xml.stream.MXParser.fillBuf(MXParser.java:3223)

    I have the code snippet for Unmarshalling:
    initJaxBContext();
         Unmarshaller u = jc.createUnmarshaller();
    //u.setProperty("jaxb.encoding", "ISO-8859-1");
    obj = u.unmarshal(input_stream);
    I have the code snippet for Marshalling:
    Marshaller m = getMarshaller();
    m.setProperty(Marshaller.JAXB_FORMATTED_OUTPUT, Boolean.TRUE);
    os = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
    m.marshal(obj, os);
    xml_output = os.toString();
    I have the following clarifications:
    1. Can someone tell me what is the default encoding used by the JAXB?
    2. Does the Java Webstart supports utf-8? If no, is there any work around?
    3. Will explicitly setting the encoding to UTF-8 help to avoid the above excpetion?
    Thanks in advance,
    paskal

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply.
    I checked in my Oracle DB. My charset is set to "UTF-8". Still the issue is happening :-(
    Does anyone has answer for any of these questions below:
    1. Can someone tell me what is the default encoding used by the JAXB?
    2. Does the Java Webstart supports utf-8? If no, is there any work around?
    3. Will explicitly setting the encoding to UTF-8 help to avoid the above exception?
    Any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated.
    regards,
    Paskal

    The error appears to be stating the physical file is too big to be deployed
    I'm running the managed servers with a heap size of 3GB and the managed server is running with 2GB - I know these are large but they where being used for debugging
    I can't find any documentation on the file size too large error, or how to resolve it
    DeploymentService:290065 says to look in the log (details are above) and DeploymentService:290066 says the error will be explained in it's description, which it is, "file size too big", it doesn't say where to see/set the max file size, there is plenty of disk space so I can only assume it's setting for the deployment service that needs to be increase, but I cannot find info on this.

    I don't think this would help, but would using the nostage option for deployment change this behaviour.
    I don't think it would as this is for disk based problems rather than transfer size issues.
