ESS Customization : Values From Detail View to Review
HI Experts,
I am working on ESS portal customization. We have scenario where I need to pass the value from Detail component to review component..
Did the same US/Bank application is working fine.
On repeating the same steps in US/Addr or in Ca/addr values go null to review component.
Please help me solving the Issue.

How to set value from one view to other view's context node attr b4 save
HI all,
My requirement is as below:
There are two views in component BP_CONT.
BP_CONT/ContactDetails IMPL class
BP_CONT/SalesEmployee SALESEMPLOYEE STRUCT.SALESEMPLOYEE
I want to set value from first view to second view's context node's attribute.
i get Sales Employee BP number in ContactDetails view, from here i want to set that value in to STRUCT.SALESEMPLOYEE
of second view in the same component.
please send me code snippet for doing the same.

You can access the fields from different views by either using custom controllers or by using component controllers, in your case you can access the Sales employee BP number from the Component controller.
first access the component controller as below in BP_CONT/SalesEmployee (in do_prepare_output method) or in (specific setter method)
lv_compcontroller type ref to CL_BP_CONT_BSPWDCOMPONENT_IMPL,
lv_partner type ref to cl_crm_bol_entity,
lv_role type string,
lv_partner_no type string.
lv_employee TYPE REF TO if_bol_bo_property_access,
lv_compcontroller = me->COMP_CONTROLLER.
lv_partner ?= lv_compcontroller ->typed_context->-partner->collection_wrapper->get_current( ).
lv_role = lv_partner->get_property( iv_attr_name = 'BP_ROLE' )
IF LV_ROLE = 'SALESEMPLOYEE'
lv_partner_no ?= lv_current->get_property( iv_attr_name = 'BP_NUMBER' ).
endif.
now set the value
lv_employee ?= me->typed_context->salesemployee->collection_wrapper->get_current( )
CHECK lv_employee IS BOUND.
lv_employee->set_property( iv_attr_name = 'SALESEMPLOYEE' iv_value = lv_partner_no )

How to get distinct values from this view
I had created a view to get to display from 2 tables.But i got duplicate values in this.

How to get attribute values from one view to another

I have 2 view like v1,v2.In v1 i used one attribute values from "get single attribute" method.And i need the same values in v2 screen.For this i did in v1 outbound plugs , i mentioned the parameter name . How can i get the same values in v2.Hi chandru ,
you said you declare the parameters in the Outbound Plug of V1. now go to view V2 inbound plug Tab and creat one inbound plug
double click on the plug name .it will navigate you to the event handeler method . Now add the outbound parameter variables in the
parameters
For example : V1firing the navigation plug

you can retrive the value freely in v2 inbound event handeler

How to select value from database view with * in wher clause

I ahve a database view with some fields.
Now my requirement is to serach a single row on the basis of process type.
Process type can have values like ZBA,ZBC,ZBD,ZBE or similarly anything starting with ZB.
Now i know that starting two letters will be ZB , but dont knwo the last letter.
So how should i use select query for the same?
Should i use like operator for the same?

Need urgent help on Cell binding - Here's what I have:
I have a bsp with one tableview for users to update shelf quantity.
Selection mode is <b>Lineedit</b>. I used this only bcos in this I need not select a row to update it - let me know if this is wrong.
Our users do not like to click on the row to select and edit it! I am not getting the edited values from the tableview.
Although I am using a contoller and view, it's not really an MVC. Can someone please guide me on this?

databinding is not possible with application classes. There are just a nice way to handle "session variables". You can use them with MVC as well.
Before MVC there was flow logic. Single formfield-values are receved e.g. when declared as page parameters. Values from tableViews are received e.g. in OnInputProcessing" by fetching the TV-Object from HTMLB_MANAGER and then calling methods like "GET_CELL_VALUE".
DATA: tv type ref to CL_HTMLB_TABLEVIEW,
table_event type ref to CL_HTMLB_EVENT_TABLEVIEW.
tv ?= CL_HTMLB_MANAGER=>GET_DATA( request = request
name = 'tableView'
id = 'mytv1' ).
table_event = tv->data.
myValue = table_event->get_cell_value( row_index = 1 column_index = 1 ).

MVC - Generate PDF From Details View
Hello, I have a simple application with a list of items in a grid, so when you click on item's name, a popup div shows you item's details.
It works fine, however, I would like to have a button inside this details view to generate PDF on the fly.
I have got ExpertPdf.HtmlToPdf library to do that.

Actually, PDF is generated from the given URL. But my problem is, when you click on ToPDF button, it calls the controller and my details view's URL changes to become: home/contenttopdf/1
instead of home/details/1, as the newly generated URL returns page not found, PDF converter returns TimeOut exception.
Can someone please tell me how to properly handle this ToPDF action method, how to call it properly?

I have an issue. As I m new to CRM, I am unable to solve this. I am working on component SRQM_INCIDENT_H.
There are two views in this - IncidentHeader and IncidentOV. IncidentHeader has a context CUSTOMERH in which we have a field (attribute ) zzcomptyp. I need to check this field value to enable / disable a button . The button (followup) is in the view
IncidentOV. So I need to read the field value in the method if_bsp_wd_toolbar_callback~get_buttons. but I dont know how I can read from a different view. Please let me know the syntax.

How to pass the check box values from one view to another view
Hi Experts,
I have a selection screen view which consists of check boxes.
WBS System status.
Release Completed Closed as 3 check boxes.
Note : The above ones are check boxes.
Based on the selection made by the user, those values needs to be passed to second view which retrieves the data and
displays the data accordingly.
At the same time if the user does not make any selection, then WBS System status should contain Released, Completed and Closed values and that needs to be sent to Second view.
Kindly advise.

make a attribute of type WDY_BOOLEAN to achieve this functionality
u need to follow these steps :
1 in side ur component controller , under the ATTRIBUTES tab , make 3 attributes say attr1 , attr2 and attr3 of type WDY_BOOLEAN
2 create a context node , cn_check and 3 context attribute ca_check1 , ca_check2 and ca_check3 in ur first view for
release , complete and close check boxes
3 inside the DOINIT of ur 1st view , set the attributes attr1 , attr2 and attr3 to blank

for the select options i get the values into field-symbol.for parameter i get the value using get_attribute.

Pass value from 1 view to other view
Hello Friends,
I am new to ABAP dynpro, I am working on one sample program. I have created 2 views, in 1st view I have 2 input fields and go button. In second view, 1 input field and 'back button'. I want to enter 2 numbers in 1st view and multiply it and display it in 2nd view.
Please help to achieve this functionality.

Passing value from one view to form
Hi Friends,
This may be easy for you. I did 2-3 times but some how I am stuck this time.
I am accepting user ID from one form and geting user information. I am trying to modify some information and then printing it in second form. SOme how value is not passing to my second for. While debugging I can see that value is there.
For first name printing I am using
$(global.firstname)
But getting null as output.
Please help me
