ESS employee data

Dear all,
I want to give employee bank information in display mode for the employees. I am getting edit mode.
I want to give permanent address display mode and local address change mode.
Can you please let me know how to solve this issue.

For both of them you can use Personalization, follow the note 1234273 for doing Personalization.
Important, while doing the personalization nvaigate to the iview from role instead of previewing from Portal Content.

For Bank Information:
If you want it to be in display mode for all the employee, go to View Layout and change the property from true to false for enabled property.

    (This is what we had done....)
    Check the composite role : SAP_EMPLOYEE_ERP
    Create a Z role for SAP_EMPLOYEE_ERP;
    Will prompt you to copy the corresponding roles in it to z roles.
    The z-composite role is then assigned to the user.
    While creating an ESS user, to to restrict access to personnel master data, changes in the authorization P_ORGIN needs to be done.
    In our case, check the z-role created ; zSAP_ESSUSER_ERP.
    In Authorizations tab=>Display authorization data option => ;
    Expand Human Resources;
    In HR : Master data, you can find the various authorization assignments to P_ORIGIN;
    Authorization level (AUTHC)
    Infotype (INFTY)          
    Personnel Area (PERSA)
    Employee Group   (PERSG)
    Employee Subgroup  (PERSK)
    Subtype (SUBTY)
    Organizational Key (VDSK1)
    Authorization level (AUTHC) takes the values :
    • R (Read)          : for Read access
    • M (Matchcode) : for Read access to Input helps (F4)
    • W (Write)         : for Write access
    • S (Symmetric)  : for Write access using the Symmetric Double Verification Principle
    • *                      : always includes all other authorization levels simultaneously
    • E and D (Enqueue and Dequeue) :
    for Write access using the Asymmetrical Double Verification Principle. E allows the user to create and change locked data records and D allows the user to change lock indicators.
    In your case probably you need to consider for :
    Employee Group   (PERSG) / Employee Subgroup  (PERSK)
    the Authorization level set to R for the defined infotypes.
    This is again, Basis work....

    Kiran,
    Normally every customer has acces to it with their S number. If you don't have an S number, this the procedure taken from the help on service.sap.com.
    The following data is needed to request a new user ID.
    Note:
    Please write down all your data, as you have to enter it several times and your entries always have to agree.
    If you want to delete all your entries to date, click Reset.
    Customer/partner number or installation number:
    You will find the installation number of your SAP System under:
    System -> Status... -> SAP System Data. Hint:
    You only have to enter one of the numbers.
    Form of address, first name, last name
    When you log on to the SAP Service Marketplace, you can change this data in MyProfile.
    E-mail address
    You need an e-mail address that is registered at your company.
    The system checks whether your e-mail address has been assigned to the entered customer/partner number.
    Once you have that data:
    Step 1 - Registering with the SAP Service Marketplace
    Enter your customer/partner number or installation number.
    Choose a form of address and enter your first and last name.
    Enter the e-mail address registered with your company.
    Once your entries are complete, click Send.
    The User Request Successful screen appears:
    You receive a registration password:
    Write it down. You will need the registration password for the next step.
    Within one day, you receive an e-mail with the URL link for your access data.

    The User data registration was successful screen appears:
    You receive your user ID and password.

    the user access the forms from ess screen after he logs on into portal.
    when the user clicks on the form,how to prepopulate the form with the employees data of the user(like pernr,reporting manager,etc etc)

    i ahve created a webdynpro application with a interactive adobe form in it.
    the problem is the submit button in the form doesnt trigger the code in on action method in the webdynpro.
    i am on ecc 6.0
    net weaver 7.0
    life cylce designer 7.0
    i ahve checkd other threads,
    activex is ticked in webdynpro,
    i have created the button from webdynpro library(i dotn have 2 separate native and activex libraries at all)
    any sugestions.

    I am using BAPI_BUPA_CREATE_FROM_DATA as a Function Module in a program to create Business Partners by reading data from an Excel file.I am able to create business partners but I couldn't find the BAPI using which I can add Employee data for "Employee" role of a new Business Partner.

    Hi friends,
    I wanted to synchronize sap hr employee data with ldap. I have written a abap program for the same which is using ldap connector interface for creation/modification/deletion of employees. I am planning to put this as a scheduled job.
    But I want to do it  in real time i.e. when the employee is getting created/modified/deleted in sap hr, my program should receive all the values and do the changes in ldap at the same time.
    What all options do i have to do this?

    U can take help of Standard Events in SAP.
    Go to Tcode SWELS.Then Activate Event trace.
    Go and do creation/modification/deletion for employees and Check which allevents are getting triggered in Tcode SWEL.
    This might give U an Initial idea how to go about this.

    I'm trying to use flexible employee data report and in the output,
    the report is showing the text of the fields, like Employee subgroup text instead of the codes we've given.
    Is there any way of having the report generate the codes instead of the text? Pls let me know.

    I am not sure whether we can make changes in the standard reports setting.  I hope you can use SAP Infoset Query to solve your issue.
    Please follow the following steps for creating a simple report
    FIRST STEP
    SQ03
    Create user group
    SAVE
    SQ02
    Create Infoset
    ZHCM_PD
    Now select the required infotypes from the screen given
    Then generate the infoset
    Go back to infoset screen and you can see your infoset appearing in the initial screen
    Now assign the infoset to the particular user group using role/user group assignment and Save
    SQ01
    Select Infoset Query
    Open the ZHCM_PD and the following screen will be displayed showing the selection and output screen
    ********When you select output screen, the same will be displayed down.  Just select one field and right click and select Only value**************
    Select the required infotypes selection and output field and give the hit list to see the number of documents present
    To see the output click on output screen
    Please note that when you create the reports, you can select the output either by Only Value/Only Text/ value and text.
    I hope this will resolve your issue.

    Hi,
    Is it possible to maintin the Employee Name in Chinese language along with English, example: Display employee data in chinese or input data in chinese while Logon language is EN.
    1. Is there any Infotype where the Employee name could be stored in Chinese seperatly?
    2. Is there any config setting by which this is possible ?.
    2. What kind of system settings are required for this
    The system is ECC6.0 and is unicode compatiable.

    Dear Mike,
    To maintain name in Chinese you have to login using the chinese language and your keyboard should support this language.
    Otherwise you can copy and paste in the relevant field. For this chinese language should be installed in your PC.
    SAP has provided fields in info type 0002 to maintain chinese language.
    Chinese name fields "Hanja" field name "LNMCH" & "FNMCH".

  • HR employee data (ONLY ACTIVE EMPLOYEES) needs to be sent from one SAP syst

    Requirement: HR employee data (ONLY ACTIVE EMPLOYEES) needs to be sent from one SAP system to another SAP system.
    E.g. of process followed u2013
    Tcode - PA30 - Action type u2018Hireu2019 is created for employee A, B, C & D for a specific date. Later another action u2018Retirementu2019 is created for the employee C. So in the current system employee A, B and D are active employees wherein employee C is an inactive employee.
    Data filtering is set in the Distribution Model wherein only active employees should be passed when an IDOC is created using PFAL.
    The IDOC which is created has all the employees A, B, C & D. The only difference being that for Employee C the segment which has the status u2018Retirementu2019 is discarded and hence this does not satisfy the requirement.
    Is there any way in which the Inactive employee (e.g. retired) is restricted from being sent to the IDOC.
    Please advise.

  • Hiding Employee data from the Standard Compensation Page.

    Hello All-
    We are using the standard Iview for Compensation planning. In this page once we select the org unit for comp. adjustment we can see the list of all employees and their adjustments. If we click on any employee then a new window will popup which is having the following sub parts ( Employee General data, compensation eligibility, compensation guidelines, Salary Survey).  In the Salary Survey we see different parts like Salary Range, Survey Data, Employee Data.
    We have a business reason to hide the Employee Data. So Is there any backend SAP tables that I can use to hide this data? or is there any way to hide this data?

    Hi Chackri!
    In this case u cant make the change at view.
    May be a second option is make a copy of RFC, Webdynpro and ours structures (used inside RFC) and change the aplication.  If you make the copy, you need a new deploy of model data and metadata inside Portal.
    Is not elegant, but works...
