Hi everyone,
I'am working on this question:
Identify the classes from the java.net package that would be required, and sketch code for:
-A client that needs to establish a connection to a Java server with which it wishes to exchange Unicoded character streams.
This is what I tried doing:
Class required: Socket //because one end point is communicating in a 2-way communication link (client communicates with server).
Code:
InputStream instream = s.getInputStream();
OutputStream outstream = s.getOutputStream(); I would really appreaciate if you help me out with my question. I dont really know if what I did is correct. I'm hoping that you might tell me if im right, and help me fix my errors and the code.

InputStream instream = s.getInputStream();
OutputStream outstream = s.getOutputStream();This is correct as long as s is the socket but you arent really being clear on your question.
if you are going to be sending characters and strings back and forth between the java server and the client. Then you should convert the inputstreams to an inputstreamreader and then to a bufferedreader, and convert the outputstream to a printwriter as so.
BufferedReader reader = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(s.getInputStream()));
PrintWriter writer = new PrintWriter(s.getOutputStream());
then you can use the methods of the buffered reader class to get the input strings from the server and you can use the printwriter class's methods to send text to the server.
