  • Finding the modules implemented in a SAP system

    Hi All,
Is there any way of finding the modules implemented in a SAP system?
    Please reply.
    Thanks in advance
    Dhanapal S

    Hi Dhanpal,
This is more of a functional question than a technical question. But if you can give a list of all the modules that you would like to know about, then it may be possible to get fair idea of which of them have been implemented.
For example, if you'd like to know whether SD is imploemented or not, you would look for data in tables like TVKO, VBAK, VBAP etc.,
In case of HR, you will see if there are any infotypes being used. for example tables PA0001 etc.,
In case of MM, you will look at tables like MARA etc.,
These points are by no means comprehensive. There are so many other factors that neeed to be considered. For example, if SD is implemented, then in general MM will also be implemented (may not necessairly be the case, but this is common).
The point is that we examine the Customizing Data and Master Data for each of the modules and figure out if it is being implemented.
But the easiest way is to ask the customer which ones he is implementing.

    anand Mandalika.

  • Sub modules implemented

is there any method to have a list of sub-modules of SAP HR implemented for each individual country?
    for eg:
for India i have implemented PA OM.
for US PA OM Time & Payroll
for UK PA OM ESS Time
this way suppose i have a list of 20 countries how can i know the individual modules implemented for each country.?

All countries would  have all sub modules implemented
only there would be specific changes as per the country laws and client requirements
Payroll will have major changes it will be as the per country and there will be come changes in PA
remaining all sub  modules will be implemented basing on the clients business processes..

  • TalentFramework module -  Position Details Panel General Information

    Dear Nakisa Experts,
    TalentFramework module
I would like to know in Position Details Panel > General Information.
    May I know how:
    1.  to make field Org Unit field data unclickable.
    2.  to enable additional fields  Cost Centre and Qualification/Experience
Please specify which folder and file need to be configure in Nakisa.
Hope you guys could help me on this.
    Regards,
    Andi Rossi

    Hi Andi,
    1. The Position Details Panel does not have OrgUnit listed on it.
    2. To achieve this you need to follow this procedure in the AdminConsole:
    a. Create a new function in the AdminConsole in Application-wide Settings > Data Center > Edit/Create new data element joining multiple SAP Tables
    b. Navigate to Job Architecture module > Positions > Details Designer
    c. Select Create Linked Detail
    d. Enter a name, select SAPPositionDetailsConfiguration, select the data element you created in step a and then map the fields to link them together (usually ID and the key field from your new data element, possibly OBJID)
    e. Add a section in the details panel using your new linked details and au voila!
All of this should be documented in the Admin guide in the Root\Documentation folder.
    Good luck!

  • Function module for detailes description of Order and long text in task

    Hello gurus,
please help me with Function module for detaile description of Order and long text in task list(operation Tab)?
    regards,
    YK

    Hi,
You should be able to read the Order short text directly from table AUFK. The Order long text or task list long text can be read by using FM "Read_text". Use Goto> Header on every long text screen to identify the parameters that need to be passed hen using this FM.

  • PM Module Implementation _ Questionnaire

    Hi Friends
Can you please let  me know  the Due diligence questionnaire  if available for PM Module Implementation .
    Looking forward to hear .
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Succes of PM implementaion & use largely depends on user discipline. There are several ways to enforce business discipline:
    1. Make a Plant maintenance KPI for the Head maintenance and his sub-ordinate
    2. Training: People need to be trained to use SAP and more importantly in your business processes. If people understand why they need to do something they are more likely to do it.
    3. Use of Workflow: Use workflow to automate the process. For example when a particular job is taken up by a planner group an email may be sent to the p[lanner.
    4. System audit: carry out regular system audit and submit the report to the responsible maintenance engineer / Head.
    5. Be Flexible: Be prepared to modify your business process. If you can deliver what the users want then definitely there would be lot of takers.
    6. Discipline is the king: Make people aware of this fact through training and change mangement workshop.

  • Windows JDK Implementation Details of InetAddress

Is there a way that I can find out the implementation details of the networking code in InetAddress for the Windows XP platform? I want to determine exactly how name resolution is being performed.
    Thanks.
    Scott

I had that thought, but when I go here:
    http://openjdk.java.net/
    It says:
"Download and install the open-source JDK 6 for Ubuntu 8.04 (or later), Fedora 9 (or later), Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, openSUSE 11.1, Debian GNU/Linux 5.0, or OpenSolaris . If you came here looking for Sun's JDK 6 product binaries for Solaris, Linux, or Windows, which are based largely on the same code, you can download them from java.sun.com."
Is the source code for Windows available?

  • Time and Payroll aspects in PA & OM modules implementation

    Hi all,
We are implementing PA & OM modules in HR. Time Management and Payroll is not in the scope of the project.
I need to know what aspects of Time and Payroll to be configured for PA & OM implementation. The client has hourly and salaried employees. The hourly employees submit their time sheet (excel) to their managers and then it is forwarded to Payroll (Ceridian). The LOA records are also forwarded to Payroll. So the time, absences and pay are not tracked by HR department. All time and pay details are maintained in HR legacy system, but not processed by HR. In this scenario, what aspects of Time Mgmt and Payroll to be configured? Is there a need to maintain IT0007?
How to set up Payscale Type, Payscale Area, Payscale Group and Level?
    Please guide.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Do you have plan to maintain It0007 (Planned working time) and IT0008 (Basic pay) as part of PA means do you need to maintain working time and basic pay info for ell employee in SAP system? Ifyes, then you need to configure below steps for IT0007 & IT0008.
    For IT0007:-
    a) Configure public Holiday and Holiday calendar
    b) Define grouping PSA for work schedule
    c) Define grouping PSA for daily work schedule
    d) Define break
    e) Define daily work schedule
    f) Define period work schedule
    g) Defind ESG for work schedule
    h) Set work schedule rules
    i) Generate work schedule and assign to employee in IT0007.
Path:- SPRO > PM > Time management >
work schedule (You will get all nodes under that)
    For IT0008
    a) Configure wage type
    b) Define ESG grouping for PCR and CAP
    c) Define pay scale type (Path:- SPRO > PM > PA > Payroll data > Basic pay > Define pay scale type)
    d) Define pay scale area ((Path:- SPRO > PM > PA > Payroll data > Basic pay > Define pay scale area)
    e) Define pay scale group & level (Path:- SPRO > PM > PA > Payorll data > Basic pay > Define pay scale group & level or SM30 >T510)
Then you can maintain IT0008 info for employee.

    Purnima
