Event ID 63 - A provider, PolicyAgentInstanceProvider....

Hello,
We're running SCCM 2012 R2 with the client on servers from anywhere from 2003-2012 and I'm noticing the following warnings in the event logs for our servers that occur everyday around the same timeframe (1-3 hours) after the
client is installed. I'm assuming this warning is normal because something (sccm) registered a component to use localsystem. Is there anyway we can prevent these warnings or are they going to happen regardless with SCCM?
A provider, XXXXXXXX, has been registered in the Windows Management Instrumentation namespace root\CCM\CIModels to use the LocalSystem account. This account is privileged and the provider may cause a security violation if
it does not correctly impersonate user requests.
PolicyAgentInstanceProvider,
PWRInvProvider
AMTInvProvider
AMTProvisionProvider
VirtualEnvironmentProvider
CCMVpnProvider
CCMRemotePCConnectProvider
AppManagementProvider,
CertEnrollProvider
CCMPermissionProvider
DcmSUMProvider
DcmAssemblyProvider
CCMMSIProvider

This is default behavior, cannot be changed and is expected. I am not aware of any way to suppress that.

Thank you for your response. I figured this was default but wanted to look into it just in case.

  • Handle event of a script provider is called twice

    Hi
    I have implemented a script provider in my plugin who is called from a web application via JavaScript. This web application call the script only one time, but the HandleEvent in my plugin is called twice!
    Any ideas what could be the reason?
    Thanks for any hint
    Hans

    Trivial case: The first is the getter to retrieve your object from its parent.
    Solution: dispatch on the given scriptID.
    If you got that covered, you could still be targeting multiple objects.

  • Many WMI Event ID 63

    I'm running Server 2008 R2 SP1 with SCCM 2012 (no sp1) and the agent is causing dozens of WMI Event ID 63 warnings.
    Providors:
    AMTProvisionProvider, PWRInvProvider, PolicyAgentInstanceProvider, AppManagementProvider,  CCMPermissionProvider, DcmSUMProvider, UDAProvider, DcmAssemblyProvider, CCMMSIProvider, CCMFileSystemProvider, CCMGlobalExpressionValueProvider,
    and manay others.    I'm looking to either suppress the warnings or better configure the SCCM agent to run without these warnings.

  • Panel Close? Event causes front panel to be unresponsive

    I'm trying to create a simple program. There is a while loop that generates random numbers just so I can see it's running. An "Exit" button is wired to the exit terminal of the while loop. An event structure is also in this while loop, which catches "Panel Close?" and discards it, then wires true to the exit terminal of said while loop. To be more specific, the exit terminal takes an OR statement that takes the Exit button and this Event Structure boolean as inputs. However, when I run the program, the Exit button doesn't respond, though with highlight execution the event structure part of the program seems to be working. Sorry if I'm bad at explaining, any help is appreciated.
    I guess my real question is, how do you properly implement that an exit button stops the loop and clicking the red x or File:Close is ignored and instead does the same thing as your Exit button.

    For applications that require a user interface I prefer to use a producer/consumer architecture. The producer loop with the event structure essentially does nothing but deal with the UI. It will process UI events as well as provide the ability to update the UI. The consumer loop(s) do the actual work. These loops are generally some form of a state machine but they allow messages to be passed from the producer loop for control purposes. Most common are start, stop and exit events. This type of approach allows your UI to be very responsive to user input. Even though your application may take time to shut down cleanly you can immediately let the user know you are going into shut down mode. They know you receive their input and are working on it. This prevents them from pressing the stop button multiple times. If your shut down does take a very long time make sure you provide regular updates to the user informing them you are still running and not simply hung.

    Donna, I wouldn't worry that Rasman (the Remote Access Connection Manager service) takes 17 seconds to shut down. And certainly the 0.095 seconds taken by the Usbehci.sys driver is inconsequential.
    My Event Viewer is filled with stuff like this. Most users don't know to look here. Best to ignore it.
    Pay more attention to what's in the Application and System logs under Windows Logs.

  • Portlet event link to pass parameter between portlets

    Ok list, I followed the documentation Adding Parameters and Events to Portlets
    PDK Release 2 (9.0.2 and later) and tried to make a portlet that pass parameter to another portlet using event link. I created the supposed parameter in the page and made the correct association to the receiving parameter portlet. The case is: The parameter is not caught in the receiving parameter page.
    This is my event link jsp code:
    <%
    String sImgPath = PropertiesReader.getProperty(PropertiesReader.KEY_IMAGES_PATH);
    PortletRenderRequest portletRequest = (PortletRenderRequest)request.getAttribute(HttpCommonConstants.PORTLET_RENDER_REQUEST);
    // The portlet definition in provider.xml includes the following:
    // - Event "submit" with event parameters "funcionalidade"
    String eventSubmit = EventUtils.eventName("submit");
    String eventParamFuncionalidade = EventUtils.eventParameter("funcionalidade");
    // Build up the list of parameters for the "submit" event
    NameValuePair[] eventSubmitParams = new NameValuePair[2];
    // Give the 'funcionalidade' event parameter the constant value 'chat'
    eventSubmitParams[0] = new NameValuePair(eventParamFuncionalidade, "chat");
    // The event name must be passed as a parameter on the URL
    eventSubmitParams[1] = new NameValuePair(eventSubmit, "");
    %>
    <TABLE CELLPADDING="0" CELLSPACING="0" BORDER="0">
    <TR><TD><a href="<%=PortletRendererUtil.constructLink(portletRequest,   portletRequest.getRenderContext().getEventURL(), eventSubmitParams, true, true)%>"><IMG SRC="<%= sImgPath + "menuButChat.gif" %>" BORDER="0"></a></TD><TR>
    </TRABLE>
    And this is my receiving parameter jsp code:
    <%
    String sFuncionalidade = "";
    PortletRenderRequest portletRequest = (PortletRenderRequest)request.getAttribute(HttpCommonConstants.PORTLET_RENDER_REQUEST);
    // Get the portlet definition - needed to get the public portlet parameters
    PortletDefinition portlet = portletRequest.getPortletDefinition();
    // Get the public portlet parameters
    ParameterDefinition[] parameters = portlet.getInputParameters();
    // Display all values for each of the public portlet parameters
    for (int currParameter = 0; currParameter < parameters.length; currParameter++)
    String name = parameters[currParameter].getName();
    out.println(" <p>name = " + name + "</p> ");
    // Get the parameter values
    String[] values = portletRequest.getParameterValues(name);
    // Display the parameter's values.
    if ( values == null )
    // Null array indicates no values for this parameter.
    out.println(" <p>values i null</p> ");
    else
    out.println(" values nco i null ");
    // Loop through each of the values and display non-null values on a separate line.
    for ( int j = 0; (values != null) && (j < values.length); j++ )
    sFuncionalidade = values[j];

    Where do I miss ???
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Leandro.

    Leandro,
    Few things which you might want to cross check to see if we are
    on the right track :
    1. Page containing Parameter receiving portlet contains a
    paga parameter mapped on to its public parameter.
    As per your example, parameter receiving page should have a page
    parameter with name - "funcionalidade" - and portlet's corresponding
    parmeter should be mapped to this page parameter. This can be
    done through "Parameters" tab in the Page Properties screen.
    2. Page containing Parameter passing portlet contains proper event
    mapping.
    As per your example, we have an event called "submit". We should
    be able to see "submit" event under "MenuColaboracao" portlet.
    When this event is raised, select which page should receive the event
    data. As soon as a page is selected, this page's public parameters
    are displayed below. Beside that we must be able to see a choice box
    which displays four choices one of which would be "Event Output".
    Map this output to the event parameter.
    Hope it helps.
    -AMJAD.

  • Handling exceptions for a event handler method.

    Hi Mates,
                    I have two custom container in which i am displaying an alv grid usind objects. when a double click event is performed in one of the alv the other alv should be displayed. I now have to handle exceptions of the class  CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_TYPE. This is raised for an invalid parameter type when calling a method dynamically. I cannot use the keyword "RAISING" in the definition of the event handler method. i checked with the syntax of the method definition in abap dictionary, there were no addition "RAISING" for an event handler method. please provide me with the solution (a sample code would do.)

    Hello,
    May be you should read about the TRY ... CATCH block which is used for handling exceptions.
    Basic construct of your code should look like this:
    TRY.
    " Your Dynamic Method call
      CATCH CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_TYPE.
    ENDTRY.
    If you want to get the error message text:
    DATA:
    lcx_excp TYPE REF TO CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_TYPE,
    v_err_msg TYPE string.
    TRY.
    " Your Dynamic Method call
      CATCH CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_TYPE INTO lcx_excp.
      v_err_msg = lcx_excp->get_text( ).
    ENDTRY.

  • Retain Console System.log Events file for Usage Analysis

    I recently became interested in tracking the usage of some Apple computers. I discovered that the system.log events file in Console provides the login and logout times. So, I was able to use that to calculate how much time the computers are being used. This was very handy because there was data from October 2010 to June 2011. I went back a few days later and discovered the log files had been purged all except a few weeks of data. Is there any way to prevent them from being purged? Or, can I increase the size of the retained system.log file? What's the point of a log file tracking events if it's only going to be deleted? Alternatively there are programs designed to keep track of computer usage such as login and logout times as well as user usage by application. Would you recommend one of these?

    Thanks for bringing the typo to my attention. I've corrected that now. I'm reminded of the phenomenon by which we see and read words as groups of letters regardless of their positioning.
    I've not really had any specific system problems that cause huge log files. However, sometimes when diagnosing problems it's nice to have a long period of time to examine possible issues.
    Regarding your #3, opening .bz2 files... Have you saved these log files from Console and then tried opening them? It's just bazaar. The file opens to another file, then opens to another file, and so on. You never see the actual file contents. Others have observed the same thing.
    Regarding your #4, I created the script you mention. It's described here:
    http://www.resourcesforlife.com/docs/item4103
    However, I'd like to just go ahead and use the existing system.log events.

  • Benefits of training and event management

    Hi All,
    Can anyone tell me the benefits of Training and Event Management
    Regards,
    satish

    Hi,
    The SAP HR Training and Event Management Packaged Service provides functions to plan and manage all kinds of business events for both manufacturing and service companies.
    It is assumed that the training department would be responsible for the creation of the courses or other business events, including duration, schedule, location, resources and so on. It would also be presumed responsible for classifying business event types that share the same characteristics or deal with related subject matter (e.g. language or data processing courses) into business event groups.
    For both types of company, an internal training catalogue has been set up covering:
    1) company introduction
    2) business office training
    3)  management skills training
    4)  social competency training
    5) functional training
    6) computer skills training
    7) health and safety training
    It is assumed that in a typical manufacturing company, the control of booking and course administration processes lies within the HR department and would become the responsibility of training managers and administrators.
    Resources for each course can be managed within the solution, and tables for room, instructor, and locations have been set up and can be added to or amended.
    Appraisal models have also been provided to allow appraisal of a course by the students, and of students by the instructor. Standard roles provided are training administrator, training manager, line manager and a range of standard reports is also provided.
    Business Benefits
      Choice of manufacturing or service company version
      Training catalogue covering a number of events
      Includes standard roles, appraisal models
      Wide range of standard reports

  • Inter-Portlet Communication Doesn't work with Eventing

    Hi All!
    According to the document Adding "Parameters and Events to Portlets"
    http://portalstudio.oracle.com/pls/ops/docs/FOLDER/COMMUNITY/PDK/ARTICLES/adding.parameters.events.to.portlets.html
    you can use Events, Page and Portlet-Input parameters to send a message from one portlet to another. I have two
    portlets one of them is showing contents with a certain ID and LanguageID and the another one shows a sitemap.
    Now I want to send the ID and LagngID to the contetn portlet as soon as I click on a link on the sitemap.
    So this is what I've done:
    1.) Definition of Input-Parameters and Events in provider.xml. The content portlet
    has two input parameters for receiving informations about ID anf LangID
    <portlet class="oracle.portal.provider.v2.DefaultPortletDefinition">
    <id>20</id>
    <name>pbContent</name>
    <title>pirobase Content</title>
    <acceptContentType>text/html</acceptContentType>
    <inputParameter class="oracle.portal.provider.v2.DefaultParameterDefinition">
    <name>menuID</name>
    <displayName>Input Parameter for pirobase menu ID</displayName>
    <description>Input Parameter for pirobase menu ID</description>
    </inputParameter>
    <inputParameter class="oracle.portal.provider.v2.DefaultParameterDefinition">
    <name>langID</name>
    <displayName>Input Parameter for pirobase language ID</displayName>
    <description>Input Parameter for pirobase language ID</description>
    </inputParameter>
    <renderer class="oracle.portal.provider.v2.render.RenderManager">
    <renderContainer>true</renderContainer>
    <contentType>text/html</contentType>
    <showPage>/htdocs/pirobase/pbcontent.jsp</showPage>
         <pageParameterName>next_page</pageParameterName>
    </renderer>
    </portlet>
    The Sitemap Portlet has an evend sending the two parameters
    <portlet class="oracle.portal.provider.v2.DefaultPortletDefinition">
    <id>21</id>
    <name>pbSitemap</name>
    <title>pirobase Sitemap Portlet</title>
    <shortTitle>pirobase Sitemap</shortTitle>
    <event class="oracle.portal.provider.v2.DefaultEventDefinition">
         <name>changePirobaseContentPage</name>
         <description>Change the pirobase menu displayed in this portlet</description>
         <parameter class="oracle.portal.provider.v2.DefaultParameterDefinition">
              <name>menuID</name>
              <displayName>menuID</displayName>
              <description>The menuID of the new page</description>
         </parameter>
         <parameter class="oracle.portal.provider.v2.DefaultParameterDefinition">
              <name>langID</name>
              <displayName>Language ID</displayName>
              <description>The language of that should be displayed</description>
         </parameter>
    </event>
    <renderer class="oracle.portal.provider.v2.render.RenderManager">
    <contentType>text/html</contentType>
    <showPage>/htdocs/pirobase/pbsitemap.jsp</showPage>
    <pageParameterName>next_page</pageParameterName>
    </renderer>
    </portlet>
    2.) In addition to that I have defined to page variables on the page the two
    portlets are located. Then I've associated the input parameters of the content
    portlet to the page parameters and the also the event parameters of the
    sitemap portlet.
    3.) Within the sitemap JSP I use this code to create the event link
    String getEventUrl (HttpServletRequest request, long menuID,
    int langID){
    PortletRenderRequest prr = (PortletRenderRequest)
    request.getAttribute(HttpCommonConstants.PORTLET_RENDER_REQUEST);
    String eventName = "changePirobaseContentPage";
    String eventParamID = EventUtils.eventParameter("menuID");
    String eventParamLang = EventUtils.eventParameter("langID");
    oracle.portal.utils.v2.NameValuePair[] eventParams =
    new oracle.portal.utils.v2.NameValuePair[2];
    eventParams[0] = new NameValuePair(eventParamID, ""+menuID);
    eventParams[1] = new NameValuePair(eventParamLang, ""+langID);
    try {
    return EventUtils.constructEventLink(prr,eventName,
    eventParams,
    true,
    true);
    } catch ( PortletException pe ) {
    makeErrLog ("Could not create event URL for pbContent Portlet!",
    pe);
    return "";
    4.) Within the Content JSP file I use this code to get the page parameter
    menuID = portletRequest.getParameter("menuID");
    But Actually nothing happens :-( It seems that the event never arrives to the page. Does anyone
    know what I am doing wrong here?

    When the event parameters are to be posted to the same page, make
    sure you have selected the current page in "Go to page" option when
    the event is raised.

  • Event in Java

    Hi All,
    I know how to do event driven programs in java. But when i came across that java able to forward event, i'm a bit confused.
    Does anyone know what does it mean "java able to forward event"?
    if possible : provide some simple examples.
    Thanks.

    I think forward is just another word for send, like in this context,
    "The keyPressed() and keyReleased() methods forward keyboard events to the engine."

  • Documentation of automation delegate events for record,playback

    When trying to use the automation framework, is there any reference documentation of the potential events generated by the Adobe delegate classes?
    I'm looking for something similar to the Flex Automation Object Type Information at www.adobe.com/go/flex3_qtp_object_type_reference (which after the codec parameter processing in the events, but that's fine) or similar to the information in AutoQuickEnv.xml or TEAFlex.xml (also after the codecs and limited to the commonly recorded events).  The only one of those that also includes Spark is the TEAFlex.xml for Flex 4.
    There is not a direct correlation between the events on the underlying classes and the events generated or replayed by the delegates, so it's not clear where to find out the specific details of the automation framework events that those delegates provide other than by the above sources or reading through the delegate source code.
    thanks for any additional information.

    Right now e-test only uses IE and IE7 only on 8.2 ....word on the street is that FF support is coming before the end of the year but nothing official yet....
    The netscape option is carry over from the 'ole days you can see it on one of the last options in the tree for the script (options>script) ...guess it's hard to let go of the past..
    Now in E-load I understand you can emulate Mozilla browsers for your load scripts but at the thin client level it wont tell you much more then what IE would see...(application independent of course)...
    Hope this helps

  • Event 29 and 24 that cannot receive the time source in windows server 2003

    I have one server windows server 2003 R2 pop up the event log as below
    Event 29
    The time provider NtpClient is configured to acquire time from one or more time sources, however none of the sources are currently
    accessible.  No attempt to contact a source will be made for 15 minutes. NtpClient has no source of accurate time.
    Event 24
    Time Provider NtpClient: No valid response has been received from domain controller server01.xxxxx.com after 8 attempts to contact it. This domain controller will be discarded as a time source and
    NtpClient will attempt to discover a  new domain controller from which to synchronize.
    My domain controller server01 do not have any pop up event log for the time service.
    I have found some information in Mircosoft TechNet would suggest such as restart  the time service with command prompt. I have tried for it. But the event id keep on to pop up for each hour.
    Should I configure for the time service can read for the hardware?
    Moreover, if I still read the time from DC, any configuration can be done for my server and domain controller? Thanks!

    Hi,
    Thanks for your question.
    Would you please tell us that if the DC holds a role of PDC emulator? If yes, you can run “DCdiag” on the DC to check if it is advertising itself as a Time server. In addition,
    please make sure that no firewall is blocking UDP port 123 and you can also ping the DC on the client computer to verify that the client computer is capable of contacting the desired source.
    In addition, please make sure that the value of the
    AnnounceFlags in the registry below is 10:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\Config
    Please also make sure the value of
    Type
    in the registry below is set to NT5DS:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\Parameters

  • Difference between action and event

    Hi
    while creating an action, we will find action & event handler.  What is the difference between Action and event.  If anyone provide with examples, it will be helpful for me.
    regards,
    vijaya.

    HI,
    In simple words we can put it as..IF you need any user interaction.. i.e. if your logic is based upon how user interact with your application then use Action..
    e.g. Buttons, dropdown UI elements...etc..
    Means actions are act between user and your application.
    But your application not only communicate with user.But also communicate with server too.
    so to communicate with server you need and Event
    Note. In Web Dynpro, events are called actions if they are sent from the client to the server.
