Ever since I downloaded the new version a few days ago I get full screen popup ads whenever I try to open a new site. It's INCREDIBLY annoying, and sometimes there is no icon to close them. WHY, why would Firefox allow this?

I don't HAVE any more details. Whenever I open a new site, I get (so far) one of two full screen advertisements. Most of the time there is the word "Skip" in the upper right hand corner, but on occasion that is not there, and there no way to get beyond the ad screen except to go into what they are trying to sell you. It is imposing and obnoxious to the nth. This has only happened since I downloaded the latest version (I think the BETA 4) 3 days ago. If this can not be resolved, I want to go back to the older version.

The Firefox pop-up blocker is usually very effective for blocking pop-ups generated by websites, but it sounds like you may have picked up some Malware that is generating those pop-ups from you own PC.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

I am using Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 (a speech recognition software) to navigate through Firefox, but ever since I downloaded the newest version of Firefox how can I download some older versions?

ever since I downloaded the newest version of Firefox, my Dragon NaturallySpeaking hasn't been working very well. For example, I will say "click register" or "click contact us" to select links and buttons on websites. Before this worked fine, but now it hardly works at all, which makes me think that because I am using a Dragon NaturallySpeaking program from 2007 or 2008, that it just doesn't know how to handle a program like Mozilla Firefox six that was written after its time. Or maybe it's the operating system? I was running an older version of Mozilla on Windows XP and now I am on Microsoft's seven.
What I want to try is to download an older version of Mozilla Firefox to see if the problems go away. I don't know if that would mean I would use Mozilla five or four, but I would like to try both. Ever since my iPhone 4 automatically updated a few days ago with iOS6 the majority of my phone's apps are either very slow or will not work at all (game apps). Is anyone else having this problem? and is there a fix?

since morning today i have been running the iphone 4 with safari icloud sync turned off. i also left bookmarks sync from itunes off. i unplugged the charger at 100% charge at excatly 10 am. i am on 86% at the moment and its 5.30 pm. however i had to plug in the phone to my macbook for 3g internet access at about 91% which got it charged back to 100%. that was for about 30 minutes. so i guess i would had been at around 75% if i hadn't done that.
so i think people are right about the bookmark causing battery drain thing.
tomorrow i am gonna try with the phone rebooted and charger to 100%, with no location service running in the background, just when the app is running, and with all bookmarks deleted from my iphone. if i have to use 3g off my iphone i would use wifi personal hotspot. usually all this use... a few calls, some internet access, whatsapp, maybe a few pictures, and music for say about 2 hours should still leave me 40-50% battery by night, after 16 hours of use. if that goes well, i might have saved my self restoring the iphone to new.
as for the mac, i figured out a way to use timemachine for a smaller hdd. i will simply 'move' those files i dont want to keep on my ssd anyway, to an external hdd. like podcasts, videos and movies. then take a TM backup when the used space is under 120 gb. and then restore that to the SSD. should work, hopefully.

Itunes freezes completly anytime I try to hook my ipod touch into it to sync. The touch is 1 or 2'nd generation and can not update to the newest version of itunes is that why it keeps freezing up? I have to go into task manager to shut it down every single time.

I suggest that you UNINSTALL iTunes, then REINSTALL it.

This only happens when using Firefox. The touchpad works just fine for other programs. If I plug in a mouse, I can browse as usual.

It's not specific sites. I can middle-click on the same link 50 times and it will open it in a new tab 45 times and 5 of those times, it will randomly open it in an entirely new window. I don't know what's causing this.

I've been working on this all day!!! I've tried everything I know of and can't get it to load either. Sounds like lots of people are having problems. Yesterday I installed itunes for the first time on my new netbook which is a 64 bit (windows 7) system and it works just fine. i have three other laptops (all window 7) in my household that are all 64 bit operating systems and ALL have updated to 10.5 and THEY ALL work fine. this is FOUR 64 bit systems ALL updated w/10.5 that work and ONE that is a 32 bit that will not. Can't get any help from apple. their suppot *****! I want to get someone on the **** phone or a live chat but cant. *** APPLE????? please let mw know if you find SOMETHING i can try next. Basic troubleshooting steps.
Quit the videos app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Or - Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Or try this - Swipe to the right from your first home screen to get to the iPad Spotlight search. Type in the name of any of your movies in the field at the top. When the movie appears in the search - tap on it and it should start to play. Let it play for a minute or so - hit done - go back to videos app and see if all is OK.
Or - Check Settings>General>Restrictions and see if you have content restricted that is preventing you from watching the movies.
