Hi, im using the following code to remove the read receipt from a received email that is in the inbox.

Error 'Update Was Terminated' - While clearing an open item

Hi,
We are facing a problem where we receive an error - "Update Was Terminated" when we try to clear some entries for 3-4 vendors (posted in period 12 of year 2006. it happens only for those 3-4 vendors). We have identified the problem as follows:
1) We ran program SAPF190 and found that there is a defference in the 'debit balance' and Total of line items' for these vendors. I ran program SAPF71 (in Quality server) which rectified some entries. However, some entries still remain incorrect and these entries that still remain incorrect are ones - "which have a posting date of 10 oct 2006, but the posting period picked up by the document header is period 12, instead of period 7". Now, some other documents posted for the same vendor on the same date have picked up the correct posting period i.e. 7. I am really baffled at how this actually happened and howcome the system allowed it??
2) After running program SAPF190, there were some entries that got corrected (these entries were just not captured by the system in the balance field, and did not have the same problem as the entries mentioned above where the wrong posting period was picked by the system). When i tried to clear the line items for the vendors whose entries had been rectified, it still gve the update error. When i checked the number range status, i noticed something very odd:
"The number range status shows a number much higher than what the system is automatically picking for the documents (e.g system picks 230 as the document number when posting, but the number range staus in FBN1 shows current number as 256). Also, once 256 is reached (i posted 26 documents for it) and we post the 257th document, the error remains and the status number now moves up 100 places to 356). At this time if i post another document it picks the number 258 instead of 356...and if i keep posting documents till 356 is reached, im sure when i post the 357th document, the status will jump to 456)
Can someone please help me here!! I dont understand how and why this is happening!!

The error is "Update was terminated" . It sends this message to my inbox!! After searching a bit i found about the two reports - SAPF190 and SAPF071. After running them i found some balance mis-match. I ran the two programs and it rectified those mis-matched entries!! However, even after that, it is giving me the same "update was terminated" error. We are using F-44 for clearing.
This error is coming only for those entries which we had posted using a user-exit. Basiaclly these are entries for late payment which were programmed to be posted directly at the time of invoicing. I just checked the code of the exit, and these entries were (astonishingly) made directly into the BKPF and BSEG tables (infact the posting period was hard-coded to '12', which is why even when my posting date for these documents is 10.10.2006, it still enters posting period '12' in the header instead of '7'.). Therefore, there were balance mis-match when we saw the monthly balance in FK10N and compared it with the line items total for that month. However, on running report SAPF071, it corrected those entries, but the update error problem still persists!!

Error 30694: Error in API - update item failed

Today we are seeing this error:
"Error 30694: Error in API - update item failed"
when trying to edit existing url items or create new ones. I see
three other entries for this error, but no resolution.

I suggest you apply the 3.0.9.8.1 patch, available on metalink.
Let us know if that clears up the problem.
Also, what version of the database are you using.

Forms gves an error - unable to update item

Hi,
I am running an Oracle Form 10G. I get an error which says unable to update item as soon as I click( or type in) on any field or item in the Form, I have looked at the item's property and also the block properties. Update , Insert is allowed at both the Item and Block level. So what coulbe wrong ? How can I trace or debug what is causing this error ?

This will display the errors related to the db that causes the problem of ur form.
another option that u can check the block property of this item & the db property of each may be it's set to no... just a guess....!!!

Regarding Template updates, what does this error " not updated, item not found" mean?

This is the second time I've posted this question so hopefully somebody will respond. At some point in the last few weeks I found that I could no longer apply a template in a group operation (returns the error shown above). If I modify the template and save it it shows all the related files to be updated but does not actually update them and again returns the error "not updated, item not found". As a test I created a duplicate of a particular .html file and applied the associated template successfully. When I apply a template change it does properly update the newly created file but not the others. I also did a mechanical file compare (using windiff.exe) between the original and duplicate file and there are NO differences in the two .html files. I have also deleted and recreated my site maps several times.
As an aside, Library items do update successfully.
I am running Dreamweaver CS6 on Windows 7.

I have an extensive home network and I consider myself to be very proficient with personal computers (had one since 1981) so let's start at that level.

When this problem first started, I went to another PC (home built desktop Win 7 64 bit) I have and created a new Dreamweaver site copy using an instance of the site that was on a network share running on a NAS box (Netgear RAID5) that I use for central file storage. Just for a test I did the same thing on my main working PC (see below) and created a new site with the data that was on the network share. Well, lo and behold the template problem went away with both of the two sites I am having trouble with. Now I have no idea why sites housed on my PC are having a problem but that seems to be the issue.
Your setup is very similar to mine - NAS (I'm using an Intel NAS) housing all my working files.
Just for a test I did the same thing on my main working PC (see below) and created a new site with the data that was on the network share. Well, lo and behold the template problem went away with both of the two sites I am having trouble with.
So it's working in the duplicate site, but not the current site. And in the current site, you have some files that update as desired and some that do not? Why not just make the duplicate site be the main working site?
Anyhow, I cannot think of any wrinkle that would cause DW to update some legitimate child files in a site but not others, except for a corrupted file cache.

Our SPF 2010 server is relatively small to many setups I am sure. The list with the issue only has 4456 items and there are a few associated lists, eg lookups, Tasks, etc see below for count.
Site Lists
Engagements = 4456 (Errors on this list, primary list for activity)
Tasks = 7711 (All workflow tasks from all site lists)
Clients = 4396 (Lookup from Engagements, Tslips, etc)
Workflow History = 584930 (I periodically run a cleanup on this and try to keep it under 400k)
Tslips = 3522 (Engagements list can create items here, but overall not much interaction between lists)
A few other lists that are used by workflows to lookup associations that are fairly static and under 50 items, eg "Parters Admin" used to lookup a partners executive admin to assign a task.

Item or object?
For "Object already exists" or "Access denied" errors when installing try opening Control Panel > Programs and Features > View installed updates then checking for Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB2918614). Uninstall if you have it, then reboot and try installing again.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Error message: "Item is being modified, please try again later"

I'm trying to buy Dhafer Youssef album "Digital Prophecy" from finnish iTMS. When i click "Buy Now" in my shopping cart, iTunes will give me various error messages,
"Item is being modified",
"Your shopping cart's contents have changed." or
"We could not complete your Music Store request. The server was not found."
I've bought several albums from iTMS before with no problems. I know for sure that there is no problems in my credit card or so. Also "the item" i am trying to buy, has been "being modified" for more than week already, so the problem must be somewhere else than just that it's price is being changed or so.
Anyone with a fix for this problem? I am running the latest version of Tiger, and all the latest updates from Software Update, both Quicktime and iTunes are as up-to-date as they can be.

They've been having problems with various albums. it's listed at two different prices but appears to be the same album. Others who have had this problem have clicked on the review page and downloaded their selection from there. I don't see that for this selection.

Pricing error in Item

Hi all,
I have got a problem regarding the posting of billing doc. to Accounting.
I have created a Sales Order with five items, then deliver the items with delivery doc. and finally created Billing doc.
Now, when iam going to post that Billing doc. to accounting, it showing an error as" Pricing error in item 50".
I checked the following thi ngs:
1. Sales order, delivery doc. and billing doc. is complete
2. checked pricing proc. in pricing analysis - everything is fine
3. checked Material & Customer account assignement group--it is fine.
4. FI periods are all open and is fine .
only one item i.e item 50 is showing problem.
the error is showing as" pricing error in item 50"
i checked this item's condition tab in billing doc, it says fine.
When i checked the error log, it just mentioning "Message no. VF073. The billing date is 6.12.2007
The material which is giving error, has been worked with before and had no given as such problem.
Can anyone give me the clue to this problem.

in my case, the exchange rate value was missing for one condition type thats why it was showing this problem.
what we did, we went to the change mode of billing doc. and then to condition tab of the line item.
there we click on the "Update" button and then use "B" option i.e carry out new pricing.
then it started picking the values.
u can do the same thing as we did. hope it will solve.

Now when I run the process from HRASR_DT it generates a process number but it also gives an error workflow could not start.I get following error (SWIA log - Step history)

New coverage line created when update item instance

Hi,
Does anyone know why when I'm performing update item instance (CSI_ITEM_INSTANCE_PUB.UPDATE_ITEM_INSTANCE) somehow it will create a new coverage/contract record?
This item initially is like to a coverage/contract but after perform update item instance it somehow create a new coverage/contract which is identical in most of the column info.
Could someone let me know why and how CSI_ITEM_INSTANCE_PUB.UPDATE_ITEM_INSTANCE would relate to creating coverage/contract ?

The issue seems to because this:
x_instance_rec.inventory_item_id := ib_rec3.inventory_item_id;
You are selecting the item id from your staging table. But the serial number in the csi_item_instances is associated with the instance is a different item id than ib_rec3.inventory_item_id. Hence this error. You cannot change the item in the IB once the instance is created.
You have two choices: comment this out or change the inventory_item_id in staging table to match with the csi_item_instances.
Also a lot depends on what is your serial number uniqueness. If you are using the same serial number for two different items (uniqueness with item_Id) you need to be careful which one you are picking (based on serial number).

Try changing the "Java command line" in the FlexPMD preferences to change the location of the temp folder to somewhere FlashBuilder has permissions... This can be done by including the -Djava.io.tmpdir="
C:\Documents and Settings\{user}\Application Data\Temp" or a similar directory.

I was using Teststand 4.2 up to last week and upgraded to TS 2013. In 4.2 I was using the following to get the location of the teststand report:
Runstate.Root.Locals.ReportFilePath
but with TS 2013 this no longer works.. is the following error:
Unknown variable or property name 'ReportFilePath'.
Error accessing item 'Runstate.Root.Locals.ReportFilePath'. in TestStand - Get Property Value (String).vi->
I've tried the following now with no success:
RunState.Root.Report.Location
So my question is how can I get the location (path) of the report file during test programmatically please?

Thanks for your help! With your tips, I finally got it to work. For anyone else trying to modify report names based on user input after the sequential process model sets the file name path I will re tell what I did:
Edit the Ni_RerportGenerator.seq plugin found in C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\TestStand 2014\Components\Models\ModelPlugins\
You go into this file and add the step higlighted in Blue at that same location. Please see the expression I typed in the expression box. Setting Parameters.ReportOptions.NewFileNameForEachUUTStatus to true forces re-evaluation of the report name at the end of the sequentialmodel.seq.
Then you add a FileGlobal in the sequenatialmodel.seq. I called my FileGlobal ReportFileName
Then I added an expression in my test sequence that modified the the new FileGlobal I created:
Finally I updated the report options (Go to Cofigure>Report Options > Report File Pathname and under File/Directory Options select "Specify Report File Path by Expression" and I entered my expression. It appears that you can disregard the evaluated report file path error (box below) because your pathname won't be generated until run-time.
This worked well for me hopefully it will for others.

Hi Nauzet,
Some questions to try to find out where the problem comes from:
1. Have you tried to do the same Update operation but changing another parameter in the Item (not a UDF)?
2. If you work without UDFs, does the Item Update work fine with B1WS?
There is a sample provided with B1WS doing an update on an item, maybe you can test if the sample works fine in your current version.
3. Which fields are you filling inside the Item object? Mabye there is a similar problem as for the BPs we discovered sometime ago (Re: Update Business Partner via SAP Business One Webservices).
Once you have find out the exact scenario to reproduce the problem please let me know, I have an 8.8 version I can try with to see if it has been fixed in 8.8 or not.
