Example of using Message Based Services - Cross group link status

Please, somebody can give me an example of how to Obtain notification of cross-group
Links Established and Lost.
My problem is: I have one BMQ host connected to 5 others BMQ hosts and many messages
exchanged between this hosts and one of my application must know when link is Ok
and when link is not Ok. Based on this information the application will decide what
to do.
Thanks for your help.
Best Regards,
Luis Roberto.

Hey YYY,
I took a look at your code that uses NI-RFSG with your NI-5672 (5610+5442).  The original USRP transmit code had to be architected using queues to stream the new samples to the USRP to write each time because there is no onboard memory on the USRP.  Since you are using an arb with onboard memory, you don't necessarily have to do this.  If you want to keep the queues in the code, you should set up the RFSG portion to look like a streaming application.  There is an RFSG example called RFSG Arbitrary Waveform Streaming.vi that is a good place to start to see how the driver is set up.  It is a more complex driver than the USRP and has a few extra steps.  For example, you need to have a call to niRFSG Initialize.vi, regardless of whether you are doing streaming or not.  If you choose to write all of the data to your arb before sending it out, RFSG Arbitrary Waveform Generation.vi is a good place to start.
I'm not entirely sure why your USRP isn't working with the 5672.  Can you provide more details?  Are you getting an error from the USRP?  How do you have the USRP connected to the VSG?  Make sure you have an attenuator in the path if you aren't using 2 antennas, it is easy to damage the USRP by putting in too much power.  You are using the RFSG soft front panel 1.9, correct?  I have used a USRP with RFSG on numerous occasions and not had an issue, so the more details you can provide the easier it will be to troubleshoot.
I don't have the equipment to set up your code and test it out unfortunately.  I was going to recommend you post to the RF measurement devices forum, but it looks like you have already done that.  Hopefully this information will at least be a starting point to get your system running.

  • Online Chapter on using Web-based Services

    Dear All,
I just added a new chapter to my ["Killer Game Programming in Java"|http://fivedots.coe.psu.ac.th/~ad/jg/] website. It's about programming techniques for writing standalone programs that employ Web-based service APIs for searching Google, Amazon, eBay, and Yahoo.
As a test-bed, I've implemented an application which sends a book title to a service, and gets back a PNG image of the book's cover. I've written five versions: one each for Google, Amazon, and eBay, and two aimed at Yahoo.
It's chapter 33 "Using Web Service APIs", located in the "Networking" section, about 2/3 of the way down the page.
    Your comments are appreciated.

  • There are more than 1000 users using query based on sales group and sales ?

    Hi all,
for a project activities sales group need to have authorization object? but if they make the object authorized and moved to production, all the other 1000 users gets effected to this changes since they dont have access to it.
Can anyone let me know how to handle this?
    let me explain in detail,
there are different markets like india, china, hongkong , south east asia,
for a particular project, only south east asia people needs to have authorization on sales group . but there are 500 users in south east asia, so once changes is moved it will affect the existing users too?
So can anyone advise me how to handle this?
    Thanks

    HI Pooja,
Create roles as per authorization you have to give to users.
Create user groups - for different users depending on the countries where they belong - as you mentioned users belong to India,
    China,
    Hongknog,
    South east asia
Eg, Create 1 role and give auth object for south east asia users. If you want to give particular authorization to 1 user only from among 500 users. create 2 roles with different authorizations and assign accordingly.

  • Using message-style web service by a Microsoft client

Does anyone have a sample Microsoft client using message-style web service? BEA
does not provide one. I found MS client does not receive messages published between
2 calls to method "receive", while the sample Java client ConsumerClient.java
    does.
    ConsumerClient.java is like:
    while(true){
    Object result = method.invoke(null);
sleep(20000); // not in sample, added for my test

    My VBScript code is like:
    Set SC = CreateObject("MSSOAP.SoapClient")
    SC.mssoapinit "http://localhost:7001/msg/Receiver/Receiver.wsdl", "", "", ""
    While TRUE
    Res = SC.receive
    WScript.echo "Res = " & Res
    Res = ""

i understood the problem. yes we are using http header to pass

to subscribe to JMS topics. I cant think of any other way to do
this. if you have any suggestions, i very much like to hear it.
for your application is it possible to use queues instead of topics?
we do not use http session information in the case of JMS queues.

    Hi Manoj,
Your sample code is basically same as mine. It would also lose messagespublished
    between calls to "receive" method.
I figured out what's going on. Undocumented by BEA, the web servicesends JMS
session ID in HTTP header along with first message. When client makessubsequent
calls to "receive", this ID must be sent back. I found this by usinga SOAP trace
    tool.
Unfortunately, MS SOAP toolkit doesn't support access to HTTP header. So one has
to use MS XML toolkit to use message-style web service, when writingMS clients.

I think the problem is because the WSDL for the message style
web service use xsd:anyType as the return type and MS soap is
not able to understand it. can you pls modify the xsd:anyType to
xsd:string (or someother base type) in the WSDL.
SC.mssoapinit can load wsdl stored as a local file. so it should
be easy to make this change.

  • How to use timestamp based dynamic message selector?

Is it possible with message selector to issue query like statement that
weill fetch any messages that have header timestamp older than "now" + 3 hrs.
In SQL you would say something like:
    where timestamp <= sysdate + (180/1440)
    Please let ne know.
    Thank you,
    Edmon

    hi edmon,
to my knowledge dynamically evalutaed expressions like this are not supported by any of the JMS vendors. messageselectors are in SQL92 format and the only dynamic part in them is the contents of the message properties and headers.
So, you're out of luck with what you want to do (e.g., remove expired messages from a destination when they havent' been consumed within a time threshold??) but i could see two possible solutions:
    1) You could use time-to-live (TTL) on the sender side. Messages that are on the destination beyond their TTL would be placed onto a dead message queue (DMQ) from where you could consume them for further processing. DMQ is not a standard-JMS feature but supported by a few vendorrs (e.g., JBoss, ArjunaMS).
    2) You could use Message-driven Services (MDS) for more elaborate server-side message processing. MDS has been pioneered by ArjunaMS but is also available with a few other JMS vendors.
    Hope that helps!
    Kind regards,
    Thomas.

  • Location based services with ELM AP?

    Hello Experts,
Maybe you have some experience with this stuff? Is it possible to use location based services with Enhanced Local Mode APs?

As long as the AP is serving clients it can, once you remove that and set it like in Monitor Mode and use it for a sniffer or spectrum it can't. So as long as your site survey has triangulation and meets the requirement for location base, you should be fine.

  • Polling messages based on priority in BPEL using JMS adapter

    Hi All,
Is it possible to poll the messages based on the priority in BPEL using JMS adapter?
I could set the priority for the messages but while polling it is picking the messages in FIFO(First in First out) order. But I want the messages to be picked on priority.Any help is appreciated.

Do you only want to pick up messeges with a certain priority? So anything larger than say priority 2?
You can try this: Oracle JCA Adapter for JMS - 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.5.0)
Message SelectorThis field is also optional. It filters messages based on header and property information. The message selector rule is a Boolean expression. If the expression is true, then the message is consumed. If the expression is false, then the message is rejected. For example, you can enter logic, such as:
JMSPriority > 3. Based on this, messages with a priority greater than 3 are consumed; all other messages are rejected.
JMSType = 'car' AND color = 'blue' AND weight > 2500

    HI,
The answer is yes and no.
As Barney-15E link says you can get the Messages app to SMS to AIM Buddies.  Or rather telephone Numbers as AIM Buddies.
    There are limits.
The computer has to be set as if in the United States (System Preferences > Language and Text > Region)
The phone is question has to be on a carrier that supports AIM SMS forwarding which only applies to some US based carriers.
The reason the SMS Messages arriving on the iPhone do not sync is that they are not iMessages  (the "No" Part).
I use Messages with the Buddy List Showing.
As a test I have added a made up number as a Buddy and also created a Address Card for it.
So Mousing over the "Buddy" reveal the "Screen Name" which is the phone Number
You have to include the Leading +1 country code as well.

  • Messaging Service vs WSDL Based service vs Any SOAP service

    Hi,
What is the basic difference between these three types of configuration for OSB Proxy? Why can't we use wsdl based or soap based service instead of messaging service? Is there any significance for messaging service?
    Thanks

Each configuration defines how the Proxy will interface with the consumers. (In other words the input (request format) and output (response format) specifications for the proxy)
Refer http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17904_01/doc.1111/e15867/configuringandusingservices.htm#i1146533 (The description column gives an understanding on this)

Are yo able to invoke the backend service directly from soapUI or similar tool? If yes, you can enable tracing on the Business service and capture the request sent out from OSB and compare the same with the one that works in soapUI. This should lead you to the exact issue.

  • Message-based web service

We are using CF 7.01 and have been successful in consuming
web services in the past. We are unsuccessful however in consuming
a web service where the client says is using a message-based (aka
document style) web service. We are entering thier system but we
error out in our attempt to access thier web service.
In the cfcomponent I have even tried using style="document"
but we are still erroring out. The nature of the error message at
    our end shows:
    -- start of error message...
Message: Could not generate stub objects for web service
    invocation.
    Detail: Name:
    https://integrationdev.peopleclick.com/soap/echo. WSDL:
    https://integrationdev.peopleclick.com/soap/echo. WSDLException (at
    /SOAP-ENV:Envelope): faultCode=INVALID_WSDL: Expected element '{
    http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/}definitions'.:
It is recommended that you use a web browser to retrieve and
examine the requested WSDL document for correctness. If the
requested WSDL document can't be retrieved or it is dynamically
generated, it is likely that the target web service has programming
    errors.
    -- ...end of error message.
The message insinuates a WSDL problem. I understand
message-based web services don't use a WSDL. Must I remove
something from our standard RPC-based web service configuration?
    Thanks in advance.

    hi all,
    UPDATE:
i have some how managed to handle my error at both REQUEST MESSAGE peoplecode and at HANDLER peoplecode. Tested the webservice using SOAPUI tool. After passing all inputs required, the customer is not created and i am getting a blank response message which should contain the SETID and CUST_ID as response. Please help me out whether i am missing any Key part in creating a CUSTOMER. Note, i haven't written any Peoplecode for creation and i am also not aware how to do the same or where to write the logic for it.
Kindly bare with me and do help me out as i m struck with it for long. Thanks in advance
