"exceeded soft sessionspace limit of 0x100000 bytes."
Does anyone recognize this message and know what it means? Oracle support says it is "harmless," but I'm not satisified with that explaination. Thanks for feedback,

Mac,
java_soft_sessionspace_limit is by default 1MB
It only gives a warning in the trace
The reason why you dont have to worry is because there is another parameter called
java_max_sessionspace_limit (default is 4MB) that should not be exceeded...
If you exceed this limit, the session will terminate with an out of memory error..

Soft sessionspace exceeded

Hi all,
I'm not sure this is the right newsgroup to ask, but I'll try anyway ;-)
I have an application (module) deployed as EJB in a 8.1.6 db on a win2000 machine. It seems to work fine, except I get the following message over and over in my user-dump logs of my database:
Session 11 exceeded soft sessionspace limit of 0x100000 bytes.
What is the soft sessionspace and how do I change it?
I know this probably an Oracle DBA question but I figured you people have already seen this and know the answer by heart (as always..)

If the attachment is a picture or equivalent, it may be being displayed as such in the body of the email message. This could increase the size of the message as sent.
If that is the kind of attachment, try right-clicking (or Control-clicking) on it in the New Message window; from the contextual menu that appears, select "View as Icon".

host Exchange[exchange] said: 421 4.4.2 Message submission rate for this client has exceeded the configured limit (in reply to MAIL FROM command) <*@gibsonins.com>: lost connection with exchange[exchange] while sending RCPT TO .

I have recently migrated my server from exchange 2010 to exchange 2013 and I am facing same issue here and have set message rate limit to unlimited and also checked the CPU.
All looks normal then also the issue is there.
I have tested the scenario on my system. Tried to send 10 mails in 1 minute and while sending the email at 9th one it gives error.
"An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: 4.4.2 Message submission rate for this client has exceeded the configured limit. Please verify that your email address is correct in your Mail preferences and try again."
Can anyone help me on this.

What is your ulimit set to ?
e.g.
$ ulimit -a
stack(kbytes) 8192
Check your kernel limit with :
e.g.
# kctune | grep maxssiz
maxssize 8388608
maxssize_64 268435456
So you could boost it by changing the maxssize kernel parameter.

BWA soft memory limit

Hi
Is there anyway to impose a soft memory limit to the BWA software? I have need a system to have around 80GB of memory. With 24GB blades this mean I would end up with 96GB of memory, 16GB more than I need and as we all know BWA licensing is not cheap.
Note 1259294 - BWA 7.00: Main memory size for BWA blades, does state that mixed memory sizes are OK. So I could go with 3 x 24GB blades and 1 x 12GB blades to give me 84GB but I am a little uncomfortable with it. Ideally I would like 4 x 24GB blades with a soft limit applied to the BWA software of 84GB. Is this possible?
If not another way to do this would be to limit the amount of memory to 21GB per blade (with the Linux boot parameter mem=x), would this be supported or not?

We have three landscape and we dont use soft limit. If you really worried about the cost, you go for 324 and 112 which is also supported. This is called hetro genious landscape and supported by SAP as well. if you have a softlimit and then again it wil be hetrogenious landscape only. There is no difference
Also note BWA memory is not yet fully stable and most of the TREX REV has memory leaks. So you need to have room for growth and system should be cater for handling the memory leaks.
If you think abt the cost for 12 GB, please do conisder the availability as well.

Exception violation exceeds the threshold limit

Hi!
We just upgraded to 5.3 for RAR and CUP. When I try to run the risk analysis in CUP i get this error message "Exception Violation exceeds the threshold limit .... " . I've changed the config in the performance tuning in RAR for Web service violation limit, but it seems like no matter what value I put on I still get that error message (tried 0 and 100000). The system says it saves the config, but as soon as log back in the system the value is gone and therefore the error keeps appearing.
I have full administration rights to the tool so I'm not sure what is going on. I can run the risk analysis just fine in RAR . Yes there are a lot of lines, but in the management report , there are 5 risks .

I could also not get the 0 to work, but 2.500.000 did work !
If you check the Debug Trace, you can see something like this:

Where the number after DETAIL: should be lower than you Threshold
